Sales side. Took hours to get a reply. Had to go in to get someone to answer me. Then John couldnt even be bothered to call, he sends me an email. Price was way out of line. Same exact truck in the valley was a lot less. Same exact truck was $5,000 less even in CA! Replied back to John about this. Still no reply, still no call back. Called the sales manager about it, he couldnt bother to answer or call back. Why email me with your cell if you are too bothered to call back. $60,000 truck and cant even get a call.Ill take my $ where its wanted and earned. Tried to spend it locally. But sometimes a companies biggest competitor is its own employees.

Chapmans has an incredible crew from sales to service they make sure you feel comfortable no matter what department. They offer rides in a nice air conditioner vehicle or you can wait in their customer waiting area and catch up on the news while you wait and eat some popcorn. Also they are a Dog friendly facility which makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE dogs should be treated this way because we wouldnt be here without mans best friend. If you havent been to Chapmans and you are looking for a New Vehicle just go stop by to see what they offer and you will find the transportation you want.

One of my customers took her vehicle into chapman for an oil leak after having her oil changed at my shop and they charged her 250 for an oil change when they should of sent her back to me for the warranty repair when all it was is a rubber o-ring missing. dont take your vehicle here they work on commission for the service reps and they will charge you as much as possible to make their money. plus apparently their integrity is at the least questionable at best. If you ask me that is not a very good way to conduct business if you want to grow your customer base.

Recently brought my vehicle in for an oil change and a tire rotation on my 2015 Chevy 3500.The service guy told me he had to charge a certain price for the tire rotation because the mechanic would have to reset my tire sensors.The service guy knew I was leaving on a holiday trip, pulling a heavy RV. The main reason I brought my vehicle in was to assure it was ready for this trip.I leave Payson late at night, drive to Phoenix, and realize this dealership rotated my tires but did not adjust any of my tire presures.They left my front tires at 70psi and my rear at 40 something psi, when my rear are supposed to be at 80 and my front at 50.I had to go a truck stop and pay to use the stations compressor to adjust my tire pressures.Now the tire sensors are off on my vehicle, giving me an error message. I am going to have to take it somewhere else and pay to get my sensors reset again.My oil change was supposed to include checking my tire pressures. Paying for a tire rotation was supposed to include adjusting tire pressures, too.Obviously this dealer does take the time to do the job right. They had no problem taking my money though.My 3500 has wheel covers. Chapmans service department couldnt even put those back on correctly. 2 of my wheels are not clipped in properly because the mechanic installed the clips over the wheel weights.

Have had two experiences with Chapman in the past week first I took my car to have some maintenance done and the second time I took it back in because of a faulty ignition coil pack. Both experiences were great and they got my ignition coil replaced. I àm pleased with the customer service I got. Five thumbs up to all the service advisor there. Great job Ill be back for more maintenance items in the future

Chapman Auto really did us right. We traded a 2018 Ram 3500 dually for this 2020 2500 and Chapman gave us an awesome deal. Everyone was great, very professional, but our salesman, Ricky Dabney was the best! He got us a lower payment. If youre looking for a vehicle, definitely ask for Ricky.We drove 90 miles to the dealership and it was worth it.

Weve purchased a new vehicle here, and have been taking 2 vehicles to them for recall work, which was ok. But a year ago we took our van in, because the transmission pump failed (right after the warranty expired!). They urged us to get the transmission replaced instead of trying to repair the pump. We decided to go ahead, and paid $5000, so that I wouldnt have to worry about it failing when my wife and kids are driving to the valley in the summer with poor cell service.They returned it to us, with a re-manufactured transmission installed. The first time my wife tried to drive it to the valley (to a doctor appointment), the transmission temperature panic light came on going up a hill, and the fluid had been boiled out of it.We towed it back to them. They guessed that it was a bad sensor, so they replaced it and gave it back. The next time we tried to make the drive, the same thing happened.They kept it for 10 weeks overall, replacing the transmission again, the radiator, the condenser, the oil lines, nothing fixed it.They wanted us to trade it in, and offered to give us full value despite the transmission issue, but we have zero confidence in Chrysler vehicles at this point. After telling them we wont do the trade, they gave it back to us with an added transmission cooler, which seemed to have stopped the problems. They didnt know why exactly, other than its just a really hot summer (So why arent all the other vans having the issue??)Recently its been acting up again. Theres been fluid gathering on top of the transmission, but I cant tell where the leak is. Its been kicking into limp mode, where it acts like it only has second gear, after going up a hill. We took it back in, they checked the fluid level and condition, and told us that it looks fine.I decided to check the level myself. I warmed up the transmission, put it through the gears, and used the engine dipstick to check the level against the factory chart for the temperature.The level was correct, but I had only inserted the dipstick 11.5 inches into the neck before it hit a stop.The service manual states-A solid landing and the dipstick has bottomed out properly at the stop (16.7/424 mm from the top of the tube)**I wiggled the stick a bit, and it got past the first stop, and drop down to 16.7, as the manual states. At that point, I could see that there was a LOT of excess fluid in the transmission.I suctioned out 2 quarts. It drove fine the next cold morning, and stayed much cooler driving to the valley, and didnt go into limp mode!There was still a couple extra quarts, but I decided to take it back in to this dealership so they could check on the reason that the dipstick is stopping too high in the neck. After all, every symptom so far is consistent with having too much fluid.I imagined that this issue is finally understood, they could fix the cause, and we could put all this behind us so I can trust our van to safely get my family to appointments. But they insisted that I dont know what Im talking about, and re-added the 2 quarts that I removed, insisting that everything is fine. When I got home I pulled out a FULL GALLON, to put it at the right level, when MEASURED FROM THE CORRECT DEPTH AT THE STOP, 16.7 INTO THE NECK. I drove it to Rye and back, and its smoother and cooler than its ever been (I installed a temperature monitor on the dash, since I cant trust anything). Now I just have to worry about what damage it could have caused to have an extra gallon in there for a year!We live right up the street, and it would have been a no-brainer to keep us as life-long customers. I own 3 Chryslers now, but never will purchase another EVER. I will go to a different dealership for service, despite that it will be terribly inconvenient. I should have been cussing and raising hell from day one of this mess, but Ive been exceedingly patient and polite until now. $5000 dollars for a transmission that I cant rely on, and they dont seem to have any interest in the safety of my family, or making this situation right.

Worst experience ever. Had 2016 jeep towed to them for warranty repairs. ASE Mechanics proceeded to fix it and then did unrelated unapproved work and charged me extra for it. They also killed my battery and jump started it so I could drive my jeep away. Brand new battery just replaced a few months ago. They wouldnt replace it either and told me I was on my own. Avoid dealership at all cost!

I took my jeep in for service in Tonto basin because I got a code P0455 on the check engine light. And it was 80° and the six year old compressor was blowing warm air. The mechanic added Freon to 40 pounds psi and the AC was working fine after that but the mechanic recommended replacing the clutch assembly because it was making a loud noise sounding like a valve tapping. He didn’t have the parts and I already had an appointment with Chatman auto to replace the detection pump for the P0455 code. I told the service manager on arrival that I wanted the clutch assembly replaced and I already had the parts on the front seat along with the detection pump.The mechanic at Chatman auto Center decided on his own to do neither and charge me $308 for Supposedly adding two cans of Freon. They kept the jeep for three hours and did nothing I wanted done but wash the Jeep and charge me $308.

Today I was pleasantly surprised, and appreciate this shops honesty. When my Jeep was repaired today due to a wire grounding out and preventing the engine running my charge was zero. It seems that on a previous service done at this shop the harness was not held away from the manifold causing it to rub and eventually short out.It is rare these days that businesses do the right thing. I will return if more service is needed. Thank you to the service manager for your honesty.

I was driving from Phoenix when I ran over a nail in Payson. Im not familiar with the area but Chapman Chevrolet was right there. The service guys took care of me right away. In less than an hour I was back on the road to Michigan. They patched the tire and only cost $20.00.Thank you very much Paul for the superb service.

Poor customer service after taking my car for a diagnostic test. I appreciate the report sent to my phone but there is no talking to the mechanics of the necessary repairs that need to be done. I also requested for my transmission fuel to be checked just to receive my car in the lot and be told AFTERWARDS that its a $75 to do when they were closing... Very disappointed by the service.Also Id like to give thanks to the Shuttle Service man that was able to get someone so I could talk to after my car was dropped off in the lot.

Came in couple of weeks ago and was looking for a new vehicle. I came in with my husband and the staff was friendly the woman were to friendly with my husband. I had to walk away from them for the way they were acting. I did not feel respected and they didn’t notice I was there, just a little to touchy. I did go to Midway Chevrolet and found the right vehicle for me. Wish I could shop at home instead of driving to the valley!

I recently broke down while in Payson. I drive a Ram pickup and was towing an RV. I called the Chapman Dodge store in Payson and talked to Service Advisor Paul Williams. It was Saturday after lunch and I thought there was no way I would get hold of anyone, but Paul talked to me and said I should get my vehicle to the dealership and they would work it in. There was a bad cable going to the transmission and they had to order the part. They allowed us to stay in our rv on their lot until the car was ready. Not only Paul, but several others checked on us during the time there and every last employee we talked to was a testimony to how customer service should be. Our radiator went out on our van on our way up the hill to Payson. We were towed here. They were able to handle our emergency just before closing. It was very expensive as we had to have it fixed right then. They had to get a radiator from somewhere else. They got it done quickly. However, my husband is a GM auto technician and he had to make sure they completed the installation correctly. They were doing a final step incorrectly for our certain vehicle! Overall they were very helpful and got us back on the road in about an hour!

In quick summary; terrible mechanic, poor service, ineffectual Service Manager. 2014 Ram 2500 diesel, under warranty. Serpentine belt idler bracket broke in the middle of nowhere, towed to Chapman motors in Payson AZ. Had to order (understandable), 5 days later it was done, they had test drove it and everything was fixed. After 90 mile drive to Chapman, they said it was almost done, 15-20 minutes at the most. After 6 more times of almost ready, they told me what was going on. It was still in extended crank mode, the mechanic had missed an engine speed/position sensor that the broken belt had snapped off. How was that missed if it was given a test drive? Three hours after arrival, the truck was done (again). After driving home, it smelled of antifreeze. They had missed a hose leak that I had pointed out to the service advisor on initial intake. At the time, he had assured me it would be pressure checked after all the repairs. So, they didnt test drive after initial repair; they didnt pressure check after either repair, they lied to me that it was done and ready for pickup. After discovering the coolant leak, it took 5 days, several calls, to get them to agree that a local dealer could look at it. They would not cover it and wouldnt say if the leak would be covered by warranty or not. I ordered after market and repaired it myself rather than deal with the indecisive, ineffectual, Service Manager. They sent a link to do a survey, after giving them a 4 out of 10, I was kicked off the survey with the message I did not meet their criteria for a survey. Now they get one star.

I enjoyed the small town friendly service atmosphere. The only issue we experienced was that the windshield was cracked in multiple places and according to Safelite glass, who they contracted to replace it, they did not contact them and hand in the order until days later and after we pushed. That was somewhat frustrating. On a good note, the windshield is being replaced today, one week later. Except for the windshield, the used vehicle was in very good used condition and fairly valued.John, the sales person, went out of his way to give us a good experience. The rest of the staff also went out of its way to be kind and helpful. I would recommend Chapman to any friend. And see John as he does care and gave a 100% effort in making it a good experience at a small town dealership.And last, it is a good feeling to support a local business rather than hand it over to the valley.

Will never go here again for a recall or my services again. Go there for a recall on passenger airbag on my charger. Get told it will take longer then a hour so I stated I need it rescheduled someone had to of course say it only calls for a hour so the one says the person doing it pretty much wont have it done within a hour. So I ended up having to walk to get my son from school. Poor service

Absolutely terrible service. Vehicles had to be brought back multiple times. Service department has nothing but excuses and no results.Good luck trying to get a hold of the service department when you call... had to take time out of my days multiple times to come down and ask what was happening with my vehicles because I could not get a call back or updates from the service department. They did not even call to let me know the vehicle was “repaired”.It is obvious when you voice your complaints they could not care less. They got your money and they do not care if it takes 1 or 100 visits to get the repair done. After hearing the excuses over and over and over I finally ate the $1,000 repair cost and took my Jeep to the Cottonwood jeep dealer where it was repaired correctly with oem parts.

I would not recommend taking a vehicular here for any maintenance. Had some issues with work they performed on my car previously but was handled fairly well then. Recently though had an awful experience. I took my truck in for a simple oil change, while this was preformed my truck seat got a 5 inch tear. Initially had a manager tell me that it must have already been there and they didn’t do it. After I had the employee who had taken my truck back tell them it wasn’t torn when he checked it in they changed their tune and agreed to have it looked at by the head manager to see where we would go from there. That gentleman was not available that day so was told I would receive a phone call in the next couple of days. It’s been over a month and have called them 5 times and still nothing has been done. I’m not even mad about the seat I already stitched it up but the service was utterly insulting.

I bought a brand new jeep from these guys. I absolutely loved the whole process. I didnt trust them walking in because of my past experience with other dealers. Well they went above and beyond. I didnt think I would get approved and they would call me back in a few days saying they needed more money down or something but they assured me it was my jeep. They didnt play no games. Gave me a pretty fair deal on my trade. Chris Pope was my sales person he really took his time to explain everything to me about the whole process and helped me set up a few things with the jeep I bought. My tags arrived in the mail in exactly 2 weeks after I purchased my jeep so they are very fast with paper work. Will definitely go back and I hope this review helps you decide to go to payson Chapman also

We were driving through Payson on our way to phoenix when our 2015 Suburban’s breaks locked up and stopped working. Very scary and could have been very bad! It was a Saturday, not many mechanics were open. We found Chapman and Dan was great! He worked hard to get our truck diagnosed, repaired and back on the road again within hours. Without Chapman we would have been stranded in Payson for days.

I been taking my dodge truck to service at this dealer for awhile now and always left happy but this last experience wasnt that good. I tow my truck there because my power steering pump was out and I ask them to see what else my truck needs so I can get it done since it was there already. I work 50-60 hours a week its hard to drop it off and get a ride living in Heber/Overgaard. That guy Michael at the service department was all over the place his numbers on the labor and parts kept changing making it extremely confusing and he try to tell me that mopar recommends changing gear box and cooler with the power steering pump because theremight be shavings and that was going to cost me almost $3k which can be true but he never let me know that i can take another route and just change the power steering pump and flush the system for 1/3 of the cost. He also told me my truck had a recall they were going to take care of it. They never did the recall, my brake fluid was low never got topped off. Had a transmisison fluid leak at the pan that can clearly be seen they never said anything about it. I will not be going back there again plus dealer at Showlow charges $110/hr labor rate compared to there $135/hr.

Was stranded. Thought that I would have quality repairs with this GM dealer. Big mistake!!! over charged all around on parts. Up to 150% over my actual retail for replacement genuine GM parts. drove 25 miles after their repair and had same problem again that they supposedly fixed for $740.00. They would not correct issues unless I were topaz for additional work to the tune of over an additional estimate of $900 plus. I would never take anything to them ever again! Heed this fair warning.

Huge rip off dealership. they sold me a car w/ 70 miles on it..... new car right? no, the car has steering and alignment issues. took it it 3-4 times for this issue, pushed me out the door. the 4th time i was adamant they fix it and sure enough, it had a broken rack and pinon . refuse to help me with any compensation for the 23,000 car i bought. now im stuck with a car with a kelly blue book of 13,000. Trying to work for arbitration. i just looked over the paper work on the repair and noticed an error on my complaint. its always veered to the right, now its all over the road. they put my complaint as left. oh boy...... car veers right, left and wanders down the highway. i have tested it 50 times on SMOOTH roads. Bought a brand new 2016 chevy cruze LT and thought it would be everything like they promise in the commercials and so called won awards and everything. OK so bought the car for my pregnate fiance and future first born son and after buying the car and kinda being rushed because it was end of day and they were closing soon so fiance was completely surprised and in love with it and then next morning was showing it to her co workers and noticed scratches on front bumper so we bring it back in and request they fix it because its a brand new car it shouldnt be scratched at all and so he says ok but our body shop is down in the valley so they would have to take it down there so I ask them if they are gonna trailer other because I dont want to get my brand new car back with a few hundred miles on it. So the manager agrees yeah he will do that. We get our car back and were shocked to see they had drove it and put a crap load of miles on our car that was sold to us as a brand new car and then we get it back used.... not a good start. Then a week later my fiance comes home from work to tell me the car felt like it wanted to die and was sputtering. So I test drove it and it didnt happen. Thought she was lieing. Few days later same story. So I take the car and drive it all week long and sure enough it did it to me also so I believed her at that point and was Pissed so we took it back to Chapman and they leave my pregnat fiance standing out front with no shuttle or rental so I had to leave work to get her and take her to her work and then less than a hour they call and say our car is ready (questionable right) fiance picks it up and they say nothing is wrong. Week later driving to the store it sputters and dies and then re starts. Weird. And then few days later I start hearing a rattling coming from the roof. Pulled over and checked to see what it was... our 3rd brake like had came loose and was rattling. So we make a appointment and bring it in agian they say o there is a recall on the 3rd brake light we will order it and call u when it gets in. We say well what about the sputter thing. They say its fine nothing wrong. Then they called when 3rd brake light came in we say ok when we bring it in Friday we want that same issue looked at because its not right and shouldnt be happening on a brand new car. So my fiance brings it in. They shuttle her home this time. Call 6 hours later and say brake light is fixed come get it.....? Hello you shuttled my fiance home she doesnt have a ride. And she asked ok and what was the problem with the sputter and they say oh nothing. My fiance says no thats not ok we need that fixed or something because its not right. So he says umm ok lemme talk to someone and well call you back so here we are still waiting and we have been in touch with corporate Chevy/GM customer care and they say keep giving Chapman a chance and see if they can resolve it. Well Im just about tired of this. I am aware of the Arizona lemon laws and this sounds like its right up its alley. I WANT TO WARN OTHERS BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP. ITS WORTH IT TO DRIVE TO THE VALLEY TO TEMPE CHAPMAN WHERE THEY PRIDE THEMSELVES ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
