I love this place. I usually get an Iced vanilla latte and let me tell you its amazing 👏. Their coffee is so good. They may not have alot of variety like Starbucks, but they are great!
My wife and I are gradually working our way through all the coffee roasters in or near Htown because we love coffee and we can. I enjoyed a really good to go hot cappucino and when I got to my car I took the lid off and saw frothy leafy artwork in the foam....dont get that in a to go cup.....artwork and a tasty Cappucino done well. I picked up a bag of black star house blend, unground of course, its very good, dark and smooth just like the bag says. Another plus is the roast date sticker on the bottom of the bag, not everyone does this and ive walked out with stale beans at other places....FYI no roast dates on their bags. Well be back for more goodies and beans.
This place is great! I have been about 10 times now. I order online in the mornings before work when I’m 5-10 minutes away. Their online portal is easy to use and it accepts Apple Pay! When I arrive my order is always ready and the workers are kind and friendly and are quick to help if you need anything additional. Not to mention their coffee is fantastic. I get the iced latte without flavor every single time and it’s by far the best latte I’ve ever had. Love this place!
My friend kept talking about this place so I finally made her take me! Ha! The place is super cute! And the coffee was extremely tasty. We had their special tiramisu flavored latte and it was so amazing. Inside you can see the roasters working sometimes and I love that aspect to this place. Local place, tasty coffee, good snacks, and nice staff. Its a win win
Always love it here. Had a pumpkin cold brew seasonal yesterday and it was good. Our biking group loves coming to PCR once a month or so. They have a few other options too but of course coffee is what they specialize in.
Coffee tastes great. The staff is very knowledgeable and makes me feel welcome. Some places make you feel like an outsider if you don’t speak their lingo. No PCF. They are really helpful and welcoming. I get the vanilla ice coffee.
Excellent coffees including some single estate beans expertly roasted. The drip was smooth and rich without a hint of bitterness. Breakfast tacos were large, about double the size of normal breakfast tacos, and a meal of two tacos, a cinnamon roll, a large drip, and a large lavender latte for about $20.
Amazing place! The ambiance is nice and chill, and the coffee is spectacular especially the lattes! Don’t get me started on the pastries and food though: all of them are delicious and flavorful! The customer service is also quite friendly and helpful as well. Overall, a really great place!
Love what they’ve done with the renovations since last being here (it feels so much more open and spacious)! From my experience, a queer/LGBTQIA+ friendly space. Coffee was still amazing as I had remembered. Great place to study and wide and available seating. Love this local spot!
They have some of the smoothest, best tasting coffee here! It’s amazing! And their scones are also absolutely great if you haven’t tried them yet!
Great environment, nice modern decor, prompt service, and the coffee is strong and bold. Just how I like it. The back deck would be a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of joe, on a rainy day or any day for that matter. The porch swing they have would be the most ideal for me. I know a great window guy that could detail the windows for a bonus to the little coffee shops ambiance, lol, nonetheless a great place for coffee and more.
Waited over 40 minutes for a decent cup of coffee. The place is cute, but we literally had to cancel our morning plans because it took so long to get our order, which only included two iced lattes. You’re better off going to Starbucks where they have the staff to cover the demand.
Pearland Coffee Roasters is quite honestly the best coffee you can buy in the entire Houston area and maybe even in the state of Texas. The first step to providing the highest quality of coffee is roasting your beans in house. PCR does just that, this insures you get the freshest cup of coffee and you know that the beans will never be stale. The service is top notch and I always feel welcome there. Their drink menu is simple and doesn’t overwhelm you with too many options. Pay PCR a visit, you will not be disappointed!
Very nice coffee shop. I love that they roast everything in house. Tried a shandy this morning it’s the bomb. Staff was great, and also knowledgeable when I spoke with them about making coffee at home. Will definitely be back for more !
Fantastic coffee made and served fresh from the nicest baristas. They will help you with any questions you have regarding their menu and are expanding their options as we speak! Best start to my weekday mornings.
Love love love! Specialty coffee at a VERY affordable price!Love the options and can’t wait to finish my two bags I just bought so I can start a coffee subscription with them!!Highly recommend!!!!
Excellent coffee. Always so flavorful. Love this place. Cannot wait for the new location to open with a drive-through!
Great local coffee place. Amazing staff!
Very relaxing environment with great tasting coffee choices
We come here as often as we can. The service is as good as the coffee. Please keep in mind it is a small business not Starbucks so do not expect the mass manufactured, quick outta the door canned experience. What you will get is an amazing cup of coffee (vanilla latte with almond milk is my fav) and if you go on Saturday morning bring a book or a game to play because you may have to wait but the drink will be worth it.
Delicious Vietnamese iced coffee. Great atmosphere as well.
Out of all the great coffee shops that exist in and out of the loop in Houston, I always find myself feeling most at home here at Pearland Coffee Roasters. The staff is always stellar and Ive always received beautiful lattes here. The cinnamon is not your typical fine grade that you get at most places, paper straws are provided, and the pastries are wonderful. One suggestion: Please get some cushions for your seats! Or maybe a comfy couch or two! 😊
The service was very friendly. Coffee was delicious. Definitely worth checking out over the big name place.
Another business using Covid-19 as an excuse for poor service and inconsideration for faithful customers. Continuing a push against human rights after the mask mandate has been lifted has created an unwelcoming environment. A place I would visit regularly will no longer be receiving my business due to the hostile mask wearing customers and complicit employees. I don’t understand how men at places like this think they can enforce these policies with rude gestures and comments and why a small business wouldn’t be worried about the safety and well being of all customers especially women. I have always supported small businesses and this one in particular which saddens me that my business wasn’t appreciated as every customers should be. I don’t know why a business owner would be more concerned with pleasing a corporation forcing them to mistreat their customers rather than actually pleasing their own customers. Bad business concept.
Great tasting coffee...great mom and pop vibe...
This is such a great place. The vibe is relaxing and easy going. Theres a simplicity in the look of the place inside and out. The look works. The coffee is very tasty. The wait for your order is short. The pastries are delish, but go early in the day or you might not get a chance to try them. I recommend trying the creme cheese danish.
The coffee: It is decent. The cortado was a little bit beany, and had a very sharp, bitter feeling on the tongue. It didnt taste bad, but the experience of drinking it wasnt great either. I just wasnt the biggest fan of the cortado. It was creamy though, and the presentation was good. The shop: I like the ambiance. Its a bit rustic but also modern. Theres a lot of wood and metal design, and I just like the overall feel. Theres a good amount of space, and plenty of seating and outlets. I also like the natural lighting that isnt direct sunlight in my face. The service: They were very efficient, getting my drink started while I waited in line to pay, which was nice. They didnt make much small talk, but they were friendly overall.Overall: While I wouldnt say this place is my favorite coffee shop by any means, it is worth a visit, and I wouldnt mind coming back if Im in Pearland.
Love this place! Try out the cold brew shandy for a refreshing summer coffee!
I’ve been picking up coffee each morning before going in to work pretty consistently for a couple of months now. They have yet to let me down! I get a flat white and it’s never burnt or sour, it makes my morning each time I pick it up 🙌🏼
This is my favorite coffee shop in the Houston area—I drive 25 minutes to get there multiple times a week just because I love it there so much! My favorite spot to study or do art ♡ I love their seasonal coffees, like the Grandpa’s Flask and Campfire lattes, and I still adore their house latte. Iced or hot, the presentation and flavor is always stellar. The staff are kind and helpful, the weekly tip voting is always fun, and the monthly open mic nights are something I always look forward to! And I’ve always appreciated the paper straws :)
Asked for 1 cream & 1 sugar. Got a cup of milk instead. Ever since their covid rules its hard to get a decent cup on my off days. Would be nice if I could fix up my own cup.The issue wasnt the fact the sugar and cream arent out. Its the heavy handed servers. Thank you. Will still try again next time.
Friendly staff and great coffee drinks. I also get their unground beans for my espresso machine, and I have loved every flavor I’ve gotten.
A terrific little coffee shop that will spoil you on going anywhere else. The vibe is friendly and just quirky enough to give PCR personality without being annoying. The staff takes great pains to really craft these drinks one-by-one -- this is no push a button, mass-produced swill. Their standard menu offers lots of options plus there are always seasonal specials to try. (Also a selection of cold bottled drinks and pastries.) Highly recommend.
Excellent! The lattes are amazing. We had both matcha and coffee lattes as well as a hot chocolate. All were exceptionally good. The baristas are artists and take their craft very seriously: super knowledgeable with great attention to detail. The pastries are delicious as well. No indoor seating due to COVID, but the back patio is very hospitable. Super friendly vibe despite the strict pandemic precautions.
The coffee at this place is amazing. This is the only coffee shop I have ever actually enjoyed the espresso at. I can get a house latte, with no extra sugar or anything and it actually tastes good. They also have a lot of other yummy coffees and teas. They have pretty good kolaches if you get there early enough, but they usually sell out pretty quickly. To top it off, the service is always amazing. Theyre friendly, helpful, and dont kind making special accommodations for you!
Amazing place for a fresh brewed coffee. Friendly staff, and lovely ambience. Highly recommended.
Amazing coffee, great food, and outstanding service!!!
Lazy employees, didn’t warm up my cinnamon roll because it gets “sticky”. After given it a try, it was super hard. I asked again, and it was a “still NO”. Regret going a given them tip 😤
We honestly used their parking lot to set up my sons new car seat but it looked like a country chic modern take on Starbucks. And the smell of coffee is always good. I honestly would like to try this place one day.
Employees were very nice. Place was clean and protective measures were in place.
Great service and coffee has a great flavor.
Coffee and muffins are delicious! Service is great!
This is BY FAR the best coffee in all of the great State of Texas!
Quick service with a smile. The aroma was delightful sense of smell as you walk in the doors. They roast their own coffee beans . Never been dissatisfied. I moved out of State 3 years ago, as I visited Texas I still remembered how great their coffee was, making it a point to stop off on the way to Hobby Airport. I bought small cold brew coffee and a bag to bring back! Thank you reminds me how awesome Texas coffee houses and restaurants are!!!
Fantastic coffee! I am super stoked about the upcoming Pearwood location.
Cool coffee shop with a nice chill vibe going on. On top of that they are a roastery as well. Enjoyed watching the roasting going on while I waited a couple of minutes for my delicious latte to be delivered to me. My daughter really enjoyed her tea as well. Have been a few times and will definitely make the drive out to them the next time I am looking for a relaxing coffee fix!
Fresh roasted, fresh brewed. Worth the stop.
Great patio to grab a tea on, workers were very nice, went above and beyond to comply with covid standard. Small mom and pop owned a must try
So good! They are the best
Great coffees! Love trying their seasonal flavored coffees throughout the year.
Always great!!!I dont get to that area all the time, but when I do, a stop there is mandatory. We did the drive up pickup recently and service was very polite, friendly and the drinks were awesome. The cortado was perfect and the vanilla latte is a good choice as well.I got take home coffee and it was great!!!Support a local business!!! Highly recommended if youre really into great coffee!!!
I pulled up for my first latte from this place in months and immediately remembered why I enjoyed them so much. The service is amazing, even in a pandemic. I was greeted with someone at my car window, and had my drink in mere minutes. The concern for safety is exactly what I was hoping for (gloves, mask, card reader that the customer only has to place a card into without touching anything), but beyond that, the service and friendly people make it my favorite little shop in South Houston. Just wanted to give you guys the review you deserve.
I’m from out of town and was going to the Starbucks but decided to try a local place instead because the line was so long at the Starbucks so I found this place and I’m so glad I did! The coffee was delicious and better than Starbucks and I didn’t have to wait long at all. I’m pretty particular about my coffee but I would definitely go out of my way to get coffee here it really was that good!
Great staff! You can order online, over the phone or someone will come out to take your order when you pull up. Coffee is good but not the best. I wish it was a bit stronger. Also, if you try to order online, they dont show half and half as an option but they do offer it.
Wow..... The cold caramel lattes are to die for
Great coffee, friendly staff, patio seating is nice
I love this place.
Really yummy coffee but had to wait over 45 minutes for it - you could tell the staff was extremely overwhelmed.
Great coffee. Favorite coffee spot in Pearland. Do not bother going to Starbucks if you can stop here instead.
The place was good and cozy. A great place to relax and have some so-called me time. It can also be a great place for some paper works while sipping a coffee. The staffs were very accommodating and I love it. I will surely visit this place again.
My family & I have lived in Pearland over 20 years & we always passed by this place & today we finally had the chance to visit it. We got greeted with a friendly smile by all the staff & was told to sit where ever we liked. Julie was our server she was very attentive & our drinks & coffee were full at all times. Our food came out less then 20 minutes very hot & fresh.
The coffee, pastries, and customer service were amazing. I am so glad I decided to stop at this local gem.
Cold brew is fantastic. great atmosphere, seating areas are incredible and the staff is always friendly
Ordered caramel latte! Great coffee
Great coffee. Staff is not very friendly (at all!!), but coffee is worth it. If youre ever in the neighborhood, go by, just dont expect staff to welcome you.
This is my go to Coffee Place their Iced Caramel Latte are delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by for a cup of Joe :)
When I first visited, I was skeptical whether a local coffee shop would make it with a giant green logo competitor a few miles away. The original floor plan was kinda chopped up and awkward. They remodeled and it’s now modern and inviting. The place seems to have a whole new vibe. The coffee is the real deal. Great local coffee shop.
Great coffee, wonderful staff.
Great place to sit and study or converse with friends. They have excellent house roasted coffees, lattes (definitely try the campfire latte), and locally baked pastries. They also have a nice patio to sit out on as well.
The coffee has always been pretty good but the young staff members need to learn to smile or something, they seem like they don’t want to talk to certain people. super awkward group of kids that work there. hope a manager can help them work on their guest service skills.
Coffee is great. A good place for a cup of coffee and a conversation, but I wouldnt recommend it for a study space. The tables are small and the chairs are fine for a short time, but uncomfortable for longer stays.
First visit here, during the quarantine lockdown so we stayed in the car and ordered from there. Drinks were made quickly, I ordered an iced caramel latte w coconut milk, one of the best I’ve had! Will be back.
Excellent coffee, friendly staff, and a great place to enjoy your java! Definitely a place to stop if you’re in the area. Also (for the ethical coffee consumer), they pay their farmers a more than “fair trade” rate for the green coffee beans. Win/win!
Had an INCREDIBLE catering experience with PCR! The manager, Olivia, provided great communication and service from start to finish and delivered a great tasting coffee! Highly recommend for any catering needs!
Good place for a cup of coffee but I miss Java
Edit: I still stand by my 5stars for quality of coffee (beans). But I have a little mini-rant to pitch since I am out of coffee beans at 3 different houses because these guys have failed to roast enough coffee for the last 2 weeks! And although they dont know it, I drive for more than an HOUR to do business with them. So thats TWICE Ive done a 2 hour round trip for nothing. Yea, Im that loyal because the beans are that good. (OK, its an addiction, I admit. And 3 bags is $45)They roast every Tuesday. They have NEVER ran out (for me) in 4 years. I dont get it. And Im now cranky because I dont want to go through the trouble of dialing-in 3 different grinders to another brand of bean. Arghhh. You get 5 stars from me because of the incredible consistency of the roasting of the BlackStar blend. Ive been purchasing these beans weekly for 4 years! Today I stopped in to grab 3 bags and you were OUT???Im going to go through withdrawal and have to dial my grinder in on a different bean. 😜
If you like supporting small, local businesses this is the place to buy coffee from. Prices are comparable to chain competitors, but the product and service is much better. Ive ordered lattes of many different flavors and have enjoyed them all. My favorite thing is the seasonal flavors. Ive tried the honey rose and smore seasonal flavors and both were excellent. The baked goods they offer come from local bakery in Houston and are reheated when ordered. These baked goods are high quality and tasty. I enjoy the croissants. The wait times when I go, which is from 10 AM - 1 PM, are less than 5 minutes.
I love this coffee shop best coffee in South Houston.
2020 update: still a warm place after coming here one time a year for 3 years straight. Purchased a cold brew which was perfect. My brother received a delicious latte (photo). Still worthy a visit!2018: The roast was amazing. My day was turned into gold and I had a very peaceful time resting in their bright environment. The employees also were so friendly. It makes the experience lodged into my consciousness heightening the memory even more. Dont shy from this place. Go and enjoy a great coffee roaster in Pearland!
Fantastic coffee, the best around. Its a bit more expensive than other shops but well worth the indulgence. They have a few food items but more light snacking only. The atmosphere inside is inviting and a good place to have a coffee but maybe not camp out for a day.
