Went to Eyeglass World after being jerked-around price wise by another brand store. Within 5 minutes I had picked out and paid for 2 pairs of eye glasses. So very simple. So very reasonable in price. So very pleased with my glasses and experience with Eyeglass World. Forget the Big and Pretty eye glass stores. Save yourself time and money .....go to Eyeglass World.

I have been coming here for 3 years and every time I come in weather I need a new pair of glasses or to get the glasses I already have refit to my face they always are so helpful! I probably come in once or twice every three months needing my glasses reshaped to my face or ears from leaving them in the heat or them being thrown around my car/purse and they are just so friendly and quick to help me out! I also think their selection of styles and prices is far better than any other place I’ve been. And I’ve been in the Pensacola area for 30 years; Eyeglass World is by far the best I’ve found!

I need new glasses ASAP as I was going on a trip and the pair I had broke. I reached out to the staff at Eyeglass World, got my glasses prescription to them, and within two days, I had a brand new pair of glasses that I adore (and also bought a different color of the same kind because I love it so much). Thank you to the front staff for being very friendly, resourceful, and expedient. Special thanks to Megan L whom I talked to and had pairs of glasses pulled for me to try on before I even arrived.

Horribly treated. We have been seeing Dr. Winter for about 20 years with 5 of my family members wearing glasses. Dr. Winters has been nothing but professional, but the employees in the front are rude and authoritative. My husband who is fully vaccinated and cannot wear a mask due to anxiety and breathing was basically refused service as he was only trying to pick up my already paid for $600 glasses(2nd set this year) . This is totally uncalled for and simply about control. I do understand the need for a mask for an exam as you are face to face with the Dr. but not in this case. Customer Service and basic human manners are not of their concern.

Best place in Pensacola! Dr. Winter genuinely cares about his patients. I’ve been going to him since I was 12 (over 20 years). I will continue to go here for another 20 years, if at all possible. I’ve been legally blind since I was a child. It’s so wonderful to look forward to your appointments instead of dreading them. Everyone here is so nice. I can’t say enough great things about the dr and all of the staff here.

Great experience buying my glasses but the person who fits them is one of the rudest people I have ever met. Told me I was wrong about what I was seeing. My glasses are crooked and see out of different parts of my progressive lenses. I bought the same exact pair of glasses here before and loved them. My last time buying here and now I have to come back when someone else is working. $555 for two pairs of glasses and I get this. I even came here years ago because I felt bad about the endless construction in front of their building.Update- 8 months or so later and I’ve never heard from them. Someone from corporate emailed and said the district manager would contact me but they never called. I talk bad poorly about them to every person I can. I just wanted to have my glasses adjusted by someone else in the store and they gave me a big screw you.

My eye exam was very helpful, and Dr. Winter was able to recognize something a previous appointment at a different office missed. Because of his good eyes my prescription is really amazing. Erica helped me find the perfect frames and made it feel more like I was just out shopping with a friend. I did have some questions about my new prescription and lenses, and when I went back in Laura spent some time with me and answered my questions. She was very patient and kind even though it was almost the end of their day. I appreciate her so much and cannot say how much I like her Harry Potter mask. Finally, I went in to get some lenses put in my old frames and Sammy zapped my order together quickly and made it an easy transaction. I dont often leave reviews, but when I do its because I want the business to recognize the amazing employees they have serving customers. Thank you all for your time and care.

At first, I was welcomed by polite and professional individuals. This all changed when I actually placed my order for my two lenses and paid. They said that the two pair of glasses would be ready next day. I made the drive, all to get my glasses and notice BOTH were scratched. The inattentiveness to that crucial detail bothered me. But I gave them another shot. I came back the next day, because they said they would be ready next day again (now my third visit) all to find out that they were not ready. Only one pair was ready and they claimed they ran out of lenses. That would have been nice to know, MAYBE A PHONE CALL COULD HAVE WORKED. So I took one pair and was told, yet again, that the second pair would be ready next day. I go in again (now my 4th visit) and was greeted with a, Did we call you? I reminded them that they were the ones who told me to come back next day. She then told me that the person who picks up the lenses had an emergency. I have sympathy, but that has nothing to do with the hundreds of dollars I spent and all the trips I made. Again, A PHONE CALL WITH A HEADS UP COULD HAVE HELPED. So I was told they would contact me and that my glasses could now take 3 or 4 more days. I promised myself that I would never set foot into that particular eyeglass world in Pcola again, so I called the location in Fort Walton and they were awesome! Had my second pair ready within hours, no scratches and no excuses. They were pleasant as could be. If you choose eyeglass world, I recommend the Fort Walton location.

They have earned life-long customers in my family and I! I had been trying to get my daughter in for an eye exam before school started, and there was NO ONE in Daphne, AL that could see us inside a month! FF to the first day of school: my daughter tripped in the hallway, and her backup pair of glasses were stepped on. I knew there were several optometrists off Davis Highway, so I drove to Pensacola hoping someone would be able to squeeze us in. The first two said the same thing - nothing for a month. Then I came to Emily at Eyeglass World. She got us scheduled for an appointment in less than a week. But she didnt stop there! When I told her my daughter had no glasses, and was basically blind without them, she went above and beyond. She ordered us new glasses with my daughters current Rx, and said they would update the lenses for free after the eye exam, with the new Rx. BUT THAT STILL WASNT ALL! She didnt want to send us away without giving my daughter SOME means to see at school over the next week, so she let us borrow a display frame that fit her current lenses, at no charge! We saw Dr Winter today; he and his staff were every bit as helpful and friendly as Emily (who remembered our names as soon as we walked in the door, btw). Thank goodness no one else could, or would, help us! I wont go anywhere else now.

Excellent service!! Couldn’t be happier. It was 2 days before thanksgiving and my son broke his glasses in half. We brought our prescription from another provider and walked out with 2 pairs of glasses in less than an hours. He likes these glasses better than the ones we paid over $300 for. 2 pairs for $78 and had them both on my sons face in less than 1 hour! Thank you!!

Best Eyewear lab ever. My glasses had been sliding down my nose and falling off my face at work with wearing the PPE and subsequently sweating on my nose. Lori fixed them in 10 minutes flat. Awesome customer service!!

I scheduled an appointment for my daughter who is really struggling as her vision is getting worse. I was not told that I was going to receive a confirmation call the day before the apt and if I didnt answer her apt was going to be canceled. Apparently they canceled it because I didnt answer the phone and then said she wont be able to get in for three weeks. I explained that no one told me this and we had no intention of not coming in for the appointment and they told me oh well. Wont be going back again.

Overall experience was mediocre. My daughter and I went into the store to buy glasses for each of us. We were told that there is a buy 1 get 1 free deal that they offer. We were however not told until after we both had picked out a pair of glasses each that it was per person and we each had to pick out 2 pairs.We each picked out 2 pairs of glasses and expected to get the glasses the same day as advertised in the front of the building That is not the case. We had to wait almost a full week to pick up our finished glasses and one pair were still not completed. They assured the glasses would be mailed to me and yet 3 weeks and still no glasses. I have spoken to numerous employees there over the last few weeks, all confirming the glasses had been mailed. I called in to get the status of the shipment to find out not only are my glasses still in the store but were NEVER shipped. The employee, Karen, I got on the phone was rude and continually interrupted me as I explained I had been lied to by every person I spoke with. Do not use this company, there are so many others to chose from.

(Pensacola location) This company lost a customer for life from me. I had a prescription filled for a pair of the frames they sell there, when I recieved it the frames looked like someone tried to just jam one of the lens in there. This was only several months ago and they were not cheap glasses either. Last week the screw popped out when I put them on and they fixed it, today it happened AGAIN. Only this time the woman couldnt fix them for me, and said that since I didnt buy a warranty for them. They cant do anything for me! Be careful spending big bucks on glasses here folks without your vision insurance paying for the warranty, youre on your own as far as these people care. Also everytime I go there some of the employees have a real sour attitude and dont have any kind of customer service skills whatsoever.

First time customer - Was greeted when I walked in, unfamiliar with the layout, a tech stopped & guided me to where I needed to be. Was greeted again at the desk - with awesome service. New customer AND new insurance, so they really made me feel comfortable. Eye exam was a breeze, the optometrist was very thorough during the exam in checking my eyeballs. So that was plus - still terrible eyesight, just pleased its nothing major. Was assisted in picking out my glasses, which at first was a little strange, because I had never had this service provided - (in the 25+ years Ive been wearing glasses Ive always just meandered stores - literally blindly - looking for a pair) but it turned out to be a lot of fun. I stacked about 20 pairs of glasses in the little tray & the tech gave me her feedback as I tried them all on, again. Gave some good recommendations - offered the warranty, because I have a bunch of kids who think glasses are indestructible. Totally took advantage of that. A little more pricey than I was expecting, BUT they provided Apple/Samsung Pay at the register - so I didnt have to run around like crazy, since I didnt have my debit card. And because the overall service was on point - I didnt mind paying the extra at all. Next up is getting some sunglasses & contacts. Thanks guys! :)

First off Dr. Winter is a hoot and my favorite eye guy. He really knows eyes. I brought my dad to him and he sent us to Dr. McLaughlin who worked on Dads cataracts. Good call on that one. He also does my eyes and gets my astigmatism correct the first. I have heavy astigmatism.When it was time I went in to get my new glasses and sunglasses and had a great experience. Aretha helped me and listened closely to what I was saying. After going thru some frames and asking key questions she was able to find me the perfect pair. The glasses had clear frames and I loved them. No shadows! Also picked out some Marilyn Monroe sunglasses, how retro! I had heard they had new management and I couldnt be happier. So glad they changed as I was about to go elsewhere but always had a good experience with Aretha so I went back. Thank you to the queen of glasses.

Be sure to ask more than one person all your questions.I went in and was specifically told that if I ordered in the morning theyd probably be ready by the time I got off work that day.I even asked do you guys have a lab in house to make your lenses or do you send them off? and I was told they make them in house.3 days later I call to ask about my glasses, because I havent heard back from anyone, and Im told uhm, they take 2 weeks and you only ordered a few days ago.Didnt so much appreciate the attitude I got considering they are the ones giving out false information.The only reason I ordered here is because my glasses are broken, they told me it could be done quickly and Id have my glasses before leaving for a work trip on Sunday.So now I wont have glasses for work or for the drive, and they will be coming in while Im not in town.👌🏽👌🏽

Dr Winter and the staff in the examination side were wonderful. I have developed lots of problems recently with my eyes and he was very thorough and explained my problems very clearly. He gave a very thorough examination.Lauren, Megan and the rest of the staff on the sales side were amazing to work with. Lauren was very patient and a ton of help in picking the perfect glasses for me. They also put prescription lenses in my personal sunglasses. My glasses were ready for pickup in less than a week and my prescription was perfect. Thanks to these great people I can see again! I highly recommend this place!

Customer service here is awesome. Older gent near the door is so kind and gives great advice on which glasses look good on you! The assistant manager helped me with my glasses and was so funny. She was great with my 18 month old who was acting like a little tornado. The lady who works in the back with the doctor is such a great person. She noticed i was struggling during my exam with my child so she offered to watch him for a couple minutes. They were getting ready to close so I knew she wouldnt have to help any more customers. She went out of her way to help me and I think thats amazing. My son loved her! He had a blast interacting with all the ladies and the older gent (who does a kick butt daffy duck impression!) My glasses were more expensive than if I would have gotten them at Sams club. But I didnt mind because of the customer service. Please pass this message along and give them kudos!Add on: came back the next day to get my glasses and Gerry was so kind and gave me great advice on how to take care of my glasses. I have been a long time customer of Eyeglass World. I broke my glasses and took them to the Pensacola store on Davis Hwy. The arms on my glasses were intact. I left them there to be fixed. When I returned to pick up glasses, the lady picked them up and the right arm broke. The arms were not the part broken. They offered me to purchase new glasses. I have an issue with that due to the fact of the arm being broken by Eyeglass World. I am very unsatisfied that glasses were broken at Eyeglass World. I plan on taking my business elsewhere in the future.

The lady out front was on her phone every time I come in and did NOT greet or acknowledge my existence, never had this happen to me til recently in the past few days that I came in for adjustments and it seems like this lady is new but she assures me shes been doing this over 40 years, but keeps having problems adjusting it on me .

I dont see why people on previous post say that the Eyeglass World of Pensacola are rude in fact they are the nicest people to get professional eye care from . I have been buying from them for over 10 years and will still be a loyal customer as long as they keep treating me with kindness and respect especially the respectful lab manger there he help me out on an order that prescription did not pass their quality inspection, but Joey assured me to not panic he will get it to me before I leave on my vacation . Prices and great, but customer service is terrible. The optometrist was great too, but the office staff are rude and not helpful in answering basic questions. When I called to make an appointment for my childs contact lens fitting, I asked approximately how long the appointment would take. She said she had no idea how long it will take my daughter to learn to put on the lenses. I said I understand that she cannot predict that, but Im trying to determine if the 2:20 pm appointment will give us enough time to make it to karate class that starts at 4 pm. She said she had no idea again. Finally, I said: so I should plan to be at your office for 2-3 hours right? She said: oh no, the appointments are in 30-minute increments. Well that information right there is what I was looking for!When we arrived the at appointment, the lady in the optometrist office was rude. She did not smile and when I checked in, we were 5 mins late (100% my fault). She was mumbling something to herself about us being late. So I asked her if she needs us to re-schedule, because we can. She said were supposed to re-schedule if were late, but shell take us. At that point, I just shut my mouth, because we were already there, and my daughter is ready to have her contact lens fitting.

I have been using this location ever since I moved here over 25 years ago. Dr. Winter is awesome and is always joking around. Makes you feel at ease. BUT, Connie?? She literally has been the best thing about this location. Although I have been going to Davis highway store years before these delightful people I truly cannot remember any kind of bad experience. Theres been a couple of times where I could only go during peak hours on the weekends and getting assistance took a little while, this is to be expected of ANY establishment. In a perfect world I would have perfect vision and THIS is unrealistic.I will be coming back within the next week for yet another round of spectacles.

Ordered new lenses for my child last week - was told theyd be ready Wed.Called Wed was told 4 different stories while on the phone for 35 minutes trying Ups had them- not delivered yet, placed on hold, we have them but our lab has already closed today, back on hold, they cant be cut today bc we dont cut on Wed or Sun, back on hold theyll be ready after we open at 9a youll receive a call by 10a ... then received no call.Was again guaranteed a call by 10am today to pick them up, didnt receive a call so I again called to ask about them, they finally were ready. Gerry went above and beyond as usual with kindness and made sure they fit my child correctly before we left.We wont be back, I feel that lying is a hard no for me and being lied to after Eyeglass World already had my payment, given the run around and causing my child disruption of his school day was unacceptable. Best of luck in business, I would hope you work on customer service and honesty to your customers in the future, Ive spent too much money in this place to be hassled like I was and sadly this wasnt the first time but even knowing the issue, management couldnt be bothered to even speak to us while in the store today nor did anyone apologize for the matter except the lady who gave me the run around yesterday.The only positive about the store is Mr. Gerry actually greets and is attentive to clients when the walk in, everyone else just ignores you.

HORRIBLE customer service. The ONLY reason to go back would be the doctor, I love him hes personable and funny. The other people I met with were completely incompetent. Asking questions they already have the answers to in my paperwork (dont want to pull your file to look for it), and just plain rude. Arrived at opening, greeted with friendly smiles and hellos. That was the only best part. I was there to get two pair of progressive lenses for my current frames. My technician, whom I didnt get her name took my glasses to the Lens technician and he said he wouldnt use my 8 month old frames because the hinge had a squeek in it? I debated this saying they were not old and the General Manager came up and asked if there was a problem, I said yes and I took my glasses and kinda tossed them on the desk, my technician said please dont throw things at me I said maam, youre two feet away from me, if I was going to throw them at you, Id have hit you. They said I could purchase new frames Buy one get one free. I asked what was I suppose to do with one set of frames with no lenss? I politely starting to gather my stuff and a third technician came and nicely asked if there was anything she could do. I replied No maam, I believe this was a ploy to get me to purchase new frames because this is where you make your money I respectfully say Thank You and left. I went to 50DollarEyeGuy and WOW, what a difference, they said there was absolutely nothing wrong with my frames AND something that was not disclosed before. Had I purchased at Eyeglass World, the progressive was not digital and there is a huge difference in digital and non digital, I most likely would not have liked the glasses made for me. 50DollarEyeGuy is head and shoulders better than Eyeglass World, The store was cleaner, the ENTIRE staff was nicer, more professional and most of all........HAPPIER. Thank you Eyeglass World, in a round about way, you really helped me out.

I got a pair of regular glasses and sunglasses. The service was excellent. I felt like family. My toddler daughter got a hold of my regular glasses and ruined them. They replaced the frames faster than I could check my Facebook on my phone.

Went in to pick up my glasses and one lens was wrong...ok...no biggie. He was gonna have them ready Wednesday. I told him Id be in Friday, He said great. Well Friday, not ready. Saturday, oh, their not done yet. They will be at 3:30...5:30...still not ready... they are cutting the lenses... thats what they told me at 1:30 when I was here...needless to say, still waiting...no glasses😕Most of the employees were very nice. Ive been getting glasses here for a few years, so Im gonna chalk this one up to just having a bad weekend...🙂 well...they brought them out and there was a huge gap where the frame and lens meet...leaving...without glasses 😔

Last time I had to get glasses they messed up my computer glasses 3 times. Took around a month to finial get them right. I was quite upset being that I am on a computer all day.. well I gave them the benefit of doubt... was told my glasses other than my polarized would be ready in 2 days since they had the lense in stock. Now Im told they wouldnt be ready until the 15th which is a week and half from now... this will be my last time I will return here. Not happy at all. I spent 3 hrs trying to pick out glasses and then had a new person helping me so it was back n forth for her asking questions. So I hope when my glasses are ready they are correct?? If not I will be getting my money back and going elsewhere..

I had an absolutely amazing experience come in youre like family I was there 30 minutes got a new box of contacts a new eye exam very well recommendation to to LASIK eye surgery you remember he remembered that I did this and I havent seen him in over 2 years and then I abuse my contacts so you made sure I got the ones that would take extra good care of my eyes I love this doctor youll need anything dont hesitate to call

Eyeglass world receives 2 stars because the optometrist made the eye exam the only pleasant part of my visit. They were obviously understaffed. And at 1 point there was only one individual working the whole front floor. She was the person who answered my questions and initiated my appointment and she was very rude. She referred to my belongings (purse, phone, keys etc.) as junk, as she told me to leave them in the front lobby while I was having my eyes evaluated for glaucoma. As the eye exam began, she didnt even warn me that my eye was about to be fluffed by the eye fluffer that they use to check for glaucoma. I was very startled, and almost had a panic attack from the experience (I have severe anxiety). After my horrible in store experience, I was told my glasses would be ready on Thursday at 2 p.m. I drove 30 minutes to eyeglass world to be told that my glasses were actually not in and to call the next day to check. I have never been more aggravated in my life with an optometrist office. I will definitely take my business somewhere else from now on.

Horrible experience. They did not have much of a selection for athletic sunglasses. They said they could fill my prescription, then called me in two weeks to say that the lab could not fill the prescription. Although they refunded my money, they did not take the claim off my insurance so I was not able to file the insurance at the store where I ended up getting my glasses. A mess I had to call and sort out. STAY AWAY.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER trying to obtain glasses at Pensacola, Davis Highway Store. After 3 months and them remaking my glasses 4 times, I had to be rude just to request a refund.... 2 pair of glasses for $78 cost me $660.89 that they were NOT going to refund me... Still no glasses but after a heated argument, they finally refunded my money once I gave them back EVERYTHING they had given me.... Manager was the rudest gentleman I have ever had to deal with... NEVER use this location....

My daughter and I both had glasses and contacts exams. This was the first time my daughter was being fitted for contacts. The eye doctor was horrible at fitting the contacts in her eye and tried to tell me it was just that my daughter needed to get more comfortable with wearing them. I have worn contacts for 28 years and could clearly see the fit was off but he ignored the fact and just kept saying it would be on her if she could wear them or not. She couldnt even get the chance to get comfortable with them and they took less than 5 minutes to try to teach her to get them in and out. I just decided to try somewhere else because this guy is clueless. On top of all this the glasses I ordered for my daughter were given to her with a crack in them. She didnt notice b/c she is 11 and her father didnt notice b/c it was close to closing time when they arrived. No answering of the phone or a messaging service to let them know they need to call me 1st thing in the morning. I gave it 2 stars b/c my exam went fine and they customer service rep that helped with picking out frames was a delight. If not for that, this nightmare deserves negative stars.

I would not recommend this place to anybody. I had a 5:20 appt called them at 515 while I was on Davis hwy not even 2 miles away to let them know I was going to be there 2 mins late that I was at the red light where I could see there building an I was told that the doctor said I would have to reschedule cause I was not there at 520 an it wasnt even 520 yet. I came all the way from perido key to be told I would have to reschedule all over 2 mins. What a waist of my dam time. I do not want a doctor that can not wait 2 mins. But when the doctors dont get u in on time ur suppose to wait what a bunch of building. Dont waist ur time with this place. I called opti an they got me rite in thats who I would recommend. I own a business in pensacola an I will make sure to tell all my customers not to use eye glass world. I would not even give 1 star but had to so I could leave a review.

The rudest people ever.... the ladies in the front, they were just rolling their eyes, attitude like they were better then everyone else!!!! This place is the worse place to go!!! My daughter is 13 needed her contacts fixed. I called made an appointment they said it would be free... she hasnt had them long at all. My last visit was over 500$ and this is how they treat me?!?! My daughter was embarrassed to even ask for help! Its a shame!!! Even the doctor laughed!!! I would rather go blind then to ever spend another dime with these people!!! No Couth no respect! I feel for their kids/parents it amazes me that people like them can deal with customers and keep a job on top of that!!!!! Sad who ever owns this yall are going to lose a lot of business over your employees!!!!! RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! I have been to this store twice and this will be the last time. Like other reviewers, I have found that the $78 deal does not really exist, but I was still satisfied with getting 2 pairs of single vision polycarbonate lenses for $216. However, the first pair of glasses I received had a screw that had been replaced and was bright silver and sharp while the other screw was red like the frames. When I mentioned that a sharp silver screw was a problem on new glasses, they did replace the frames. I also ordered sunglasses, which I received with a cracked lens and they are working on replacing as I write this. I took my teenagers in as well, one had no problems, but my daughters glasses were made with the lenses in the wrong eyes. Hers are also being remade today.Overall the people are nice enough, but if the product is so poorly put together and managed, they will not retain my business.
