I’ve purchased too many mattresses over the years. This is the first time I felt more than confident in my decision. Sleep expert Johnny did an outstanding job. He was patient with me as a tried and compared numerous mattresses. I wasn’t even in the store for a mattress. I only had questions about bases and foundations. Johnny was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions about frames and foundations and then I started browsing mattresses. After comparing and using the advice and guidance from Johnny we narrowed it down to two beds. After me repeatedly trying the beds for 20 minutes Johnny even made me feel comfortable spending more money on the better mattress. Due to his knowledge, patience, and just being a very nice individual I had the best experience with my new purchase. This is for the Mattress Firm on 1722 Locust street in Philadelphia. I will definitely recommend to a friend and with their 120 day mattress policy you will feel confident too in your investment.

I just moved to Philadelphia and I needed a mattress quickly and this Mattress Firm is the closest to me. I was able to speak to Antonio about my options. They didnt have any available deliveries in the timeframe that I needed and were sold out of my backup option but it didnt mean that Antonio would quit on me. He was gracious enough to help me with the urgency I needed the mattress and looked for area stores that would have something for me. He was the one that made the suggestion to me and not the other way around. You can tell that he cares to solve the issue and not just do it for the credit. After ordering online, I got an email with a customer service phone number.The message actually says we are happy to assist you...we have eliminated phone requests. After 40 minutes of trying to reach a person, it became clear that Mattress Firm is *very serious* about not talking to its customers. One-star.I finally called the store on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia (where I had never been). Kudos to Sarah, who resolved the issue in under a minute. Fire the corporate pea-brain who set up the toll-free non-support number and put Sarah in charge.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! I cant believe not only how nice and accommodating Sara was but her knowledge and proficiency of bedding went above and beyond. She helped me get the best price and quality for the money. Looking forward to good sleep.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful as my boyfriend and I searched for a mattress we would BOTH love. (No easy feat as he sleeps hot and on his back and I sleep cold and on my side.) Had a very good experience with this Mattress Firm. I researched what I was interested in on the Mattress Firm website, then went into the store to try it. Was able to try the exact two I was interested in, so the website was accurate that they were available to try in that store. More importantly, the store was quiet in the morning, so I felt very safe from COVID. Antonio Gonzalez was very helpful (and wore a mask correctly). Never tried to push me into buying something I didnt want. I was worried that Id be pressured into buying something expensive with lots of memory foam, when all I wanted was a cheap, firm spring mattress. He never pushed me at all and understood what I wanted. Never tried to upsell me. Brought out the exact ones I was interested in and wasnt annoyed that I wanted to try a couple. He also gave tips about mattresses breaking in, which I really appreciated. Even had a nice conversation with him while I was checking out. I paid to have my mattress delivered and it to be carried up to my apartment (3 flights). Everything worked out great! Delivery man was very efficient and wore a mask correctly. Was in and out in no time, so it was a safe delivery for during the pandemic. Very happy with my mattress and the service I received. Im honestly surprised how well everything worked out.

I was so tempted to order a mattress online, but ultimately decided on brick & mortar so I could test the beds out in person. I originally settled on a Tempurpedic mattress and Tulo pillow, then realized I hated the firm Tempurpedic mattress and too soft Tulo pillows. I exchanged the Tempur with a hybrid Beautyrest and Tulo with a Tempur pillow. I could not be happier. The sales reps were helpful and accommodating. I have no regrets not ordering a much cheaper Saatva, Casper or Nectar bed online. A good bed lasts ten years, so get a great bed once and amortize the cost over the decade. You wont be sorry.

Antonio did an amazing job taking care of us on a really busy Saturday (August 1st). I suppose lots of folks are moving into this college town for the school year. When we visited there were a bunch of other customers. I’ve never seen a salesperson handle different groups of people with such poise, grace, and sincerity. We walked out with a mattress that was a great fit for us. Even when buying a mattress outside of Philly I’ll probably consult with Antonio on future purchases. Loved my experience here. I talked to the sales associate (Sarah) about my priorities. She had me test out mattresses and gave me personalized recommendations. She also helped me come up with a way to get my mattress from another store that same day. Antonio from that other store explained the risks of moving the mattress myself, and then helped me load it into my rental car like a pro. I saved bundles and the mattress itself is super comfy!

I was in the store for a return as the first mattress I chose was not comfortable for me. Antonio helped me with choosing the second mattress and I got a lot of guidance and eduction from him and found the best mattress for me. He is very knowledgable and brings so much more to the choosing of a mattress than just come into the store and lay on a bunch and hope for the best. You should definitely ask for him when you come into the store.

Antonio was beyond supportive and helpful in our mattress search process - its fairly confusing searching for the right bed frame/box spring/mattress among a variety of options both via online and at specific stores, but Antonio laid out the options for us in a simple and concise form. Everything from pricing, shipping, warranty, and testing the beds as well, we had a seamless experience at Mattress Firm Center City and would recommend it to anyone currently in the search process

Though the salesman was nice and helpful, the mattress (their in-house brand) was not the correct dimensions - not the wrong size (full versus queen) but rather a queen that was not actually the correct dimensions of a queen. We didnt like the mattress and decided to return it, which was a nightmare process. You can ONLY return through the store at which you purchased (insane for a large chain), and as soon as you tell them on the phone that you want to return, they tell you that they are busy with a customer and will call you back but never do. For more reasonable customer service, go elsewhere.

Buying a mattress was the last thing to do on my shopping list for a reason. I thought it would take me hours to find a mattress and was not looking forward to it. Derek made my experience easy and painless. I was in and out of the store in less than 30 minutes. I found a perfect mattress. Derek even asked about a box spring to fit up my trinity stairs, asked about my floor type for the delivery, and included free delivery in my purchase. I would 100% suggest going to Mattress Firm in Center City for your next mattress!

What I thought was a nice friendly purchase, ended up being a robbery. I choose a $600 mattress with their in house credit option. After the 30 period I reread the contract and noticed that with the interest and paying $130 a month, that same mattress will cost me $1300.00 during a 10 month period. In addition to that the mattress was not a cooling mattress like the salesman said.Be careful with your contract and your products that you purchase from them.

Mattress Firm is a bunch of crooks. Send you broken equipment, make you carry your own bed inside when you paid for delivery, deliver your bed weeks late, take weeks to get back to you using any type of correspondence. Lie to you when they tell you what day they’re going to call you back and then talk down to my girlfriend when she tried to get answers.Trash company. 10/10 do not EVER buy anything from Mattress Firm 1722 Chestnut St in Philadelphia.Avoid entirely. 🤬
