Wow. I wish I had known about this gem before. Very comfortable and open atmosphere! Neutral, enjoyable music playing in the background and local art all around. Courtyard is beautiful as well. Last but not least, the coffee and food was fresh and delicious! Will be coming here often

Staff was lovely and so was the coffee. It also has such a chill vibe. Its a great spot to get some work done or just relax.

Todays the first time Ive gone, and its amazinggg. Betsy was so sweet, and the sandwiches are so good. Would recommend their coffee any day.

One of my favorite local spots. Great atmosphere, lots of natural light, and plenty of tables to sit down and work/hangout. Coffee runs around ~5 for a specialty drink. Large selection of drip coffee beans roasted by Gryphon.

Apple cider was delicious so was the forager sandwich.

Good coffee. Cool environment. Both bathrooms were really, really gross. Poo and other stuff all over the bowl and under seat. Trash can broken and trash everywhere. Soap dispenser broken (not a good time for dirty hands). Paper towel dispenser broken. Politely alerted staff but felt like I was an inconvenience.

I ordered a capuccino with oatmilk and a bagel with tofutti. I was satisfied with their vegan options. I went there to read and to work on some writing on a Saturday morning. Most other guests were doing the same.

This cafe has one of my favorite oat milk lattes in fishtown. The baristas are super friendly & warm. We also tried the cinnamon pastry and it was delicious and flaky. They have a ton of space and a modern warehouse vibe but are pickup and takeout only right now.

Meh... not that impressed. I do like that the space has indoor seating during COVID, and several outlets to charge devices. Those are the good things.The iced mocha I ordered had no flavor. So I politely took it to the front counter (rather than dump it full into the trash) and told them I didn’t care for it, so would like to get a coconut water instead. I fully expected the barista to offer to remake the drink, or at least comp the water. Nope! He simply takes the coffee (didn’t even ask what’s wrong it, then charges me for the water!)Don’t think I’ll be returning. Sorry

Very nice coffee shop. I had a nitro iced coffee that was really good. High ceilings with massive windows and lots of space and tables for working while you enjoy your favourite cup of coffee and snack.

Wow to everything - the tasty lavender latte, beautiful space, and friendly service. If Id have known about this place in grad school, it would have been a go-to study/writing spot.

Hey EV owners! Theres free parking in the back if U use the Level 2 Sema charger (30 cents/kwh)! Sure the bathrm reqs improvements, but I didnt go here 4 that - I went 4 the food & coffee drinks which def did not disappoint (including the service!).

Go for The Beast great breakfast sandwich!2 years later: stop by 3-4 times a week. Very helpful staff. I say my regular and were good to go. If there is a line, they start it before I even get to cash register. Recommend!

They got NOS cold brew. Before covid i would go here a lot. i should go back.

This cute little coffee shop it sucked on the corner and a must visit. The coffee is roasted locally and absolutely delicious! They have a selection of pasties and a small menu of other items as well. I didnt get to try the food but it looked really good. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Gryphon is aesthetically pleasing with high ceilings, concrete floors, and music is playing softly enough to work or study, but loud enough to add to the atmosphere. The guests here are considerate of their surroundings. They all seem to keep their conversations to a soft chatter being sure not to disturb those working or reading around them. If you prefer to sit outside they have an outdoor seating area. Also, there isn’t too many people with children who dine in. If you are looking for a nice cafe to get some work done without being distracted, Gryphon is the best place to be.

Such an awesome chill place

Since the first time I was here, Ive been back again and again. Easily my favorite coffee place in an area kind of overwhelmed with coffee places. Baristas are kind and really good at what they do, there are abundant outlets for working, and the music is great.

Great food, coffee, and service. Their cream cheeses change often and are always amazing 🥯 i also love their homemade soups 🤩

This place is great to hang out, do some work, and get some great coffee and bite to eat. They have mostly soups and sandwiches, but Ive never been disappointed with their selection. The people are also very friendly!

Favorite study spot! Great coffee, either drip or draft. Awesome loose tea. Kombucha on draft or bottles. Fresh food. Super friendly. Great music!

A little pricey, but great quality. Also, unlike many coffee shops in the area, (front st, reanimator) the staff is very polite and warm. Could use a few more outlets though!

Ive been to countless coffee shops in Philly and nothing beats Gryphons house-made chai. I like my chai spicy with soy and Gryphon does it perfect! I hope the recipe never changes.

I had visited here several times. Barista are so so friendly and describe me their menu with big smile. Coffee is as good as people here. LOVE here. :)

Gryphon is my go-to coffee spot in fishtown/kensington. The atmosphere is great inside with high ceilings, polished concrete floors, natural wood tables, good tunes, and the service is genuine/friendly. The food is on point and the coffee goes down smooth. Highly recommend the chicken salad sandwich & early gray hot chocolate. Vin, the barista, has waited on me several times and always has the best vibe. Will be sure to keep coming back!
