Not a traditional place to get espresso drinks. We were a little disappointed. Vibe is definitely cool and will return one day to try a different type of drink.

Went here yesterday with boyfriend. We both got iced lattes. Delicious with a strong brew. The atmosphere is lovely. It have us a Portland eclectic vibe. It was lovely and refreshing. Can not wait to go back. 😊

WOW! I wish I had discovered this great place sooner, the Thai iced coffee is not to be missed! They use a darker, less acidic roast (not fruity) which I enjoy. Today I decided to also get a bagel sandwich-- holy smokes! The bagels are tender and thinner so easier to eat, the cheese was perfectly ooey gooey, crisp rendered bacon, punchy pesto spread thin and some generous hunks of avocado and under $10!! Ill DEFINITELY be back

Higher Grounds has a great environment with such a chill vibe. As soon as I stepped in I felt comfortable! Being lactose intolerant I loved all the different milk alternatives they provided. Its a fancy place so the coffee and other beverages are a little more expensive but in the end its well worth it because their coffee, pastries and other beverages are just as good as the service! So if youre in the area and looking for a new spot to get a caffeine boost and relax then I highly recommend giving Higher Grounds a try! Doubt youll be disappointed.

One of my favorite places in Philly. Its so calm and peaceful. The baked treats are fantastic, the staff is friendly, the coffee and hot beverages in general are great, and the atmosphere is amazing. I recommend to any coffee or tea lover. To any student or artist. To any writer or businessman.

Just got pick up from there today. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. First time trying this place and it’s close to my work so it’s going to be dangerous being so close. Quality coffee, fresh food, and friendly staff. Guy brought my order out to my car. During COVID it’s so important to support local, small businesses and this coffee shop is going to be getting a ton of support from me.

Solid spot with a good outdoor space. However they do not allow paying customers to use the restroom.....

I love this space and all their options! Such a nice surprise considering so many hyper-local places will limit their options due to supply and demand.The space is incredibly eclectic and homey! Felt right at home here while having to squirrel away for a half day waiting on a friend. Ill definitely be back!

Had their Cookie Monster drink and it was SO GOOD. A close thing I could compare it to would be that it kind of tasted like a thin cookies and cream shake. I also had a chocolate muffin with chocolate chips and that was really good too. On top of this, the place had a really nice atmosphere with unique, unmatched seating as well as board games anyone can use.

The owner, Tony, is friendly and makes a great latte. The atmosphere is welcoming and there are a ton of comfy chairs to plop down in and enjoy a light breakfast

Only one GF food option, a fresh salad, but the veggies and vinaigrette are good. Service is fine, bathrooms clean and functional, a few outlets and lots of seating. Cant complain about anything really.

Tall, wormy face guy (Tony may be his name) is VERY rude. Been there multiple times; the woman are nice however. Atmosphere is great... food is alright, coffee is moderate but definitely not the best. The only plus is wifi if we are being super honest here.

Very cozy little place. I found it to be relaxing in an area that typically has bustling coffee shops. This one felt like morning coffee in my living room.

My host Tony was a pleasure to meet and he prepared an awesome pepper jack cheese, smoked bacon,sliced apples w/ honey on lightly toasted whole grain bread sandwich!...its really a must try!

A fun, eclectic little place that served me one of the best iced lattes Ive ever had. I got mine to go but the cafe is cozy with a lot of places to sit and chill with sofas, tables and chairs arranged all around. There was even a cabinet full of board games which was really awesome. If Im ever in the area again I will *definitely* go back for the coffee and hopefully Ill be able to stay for awhile.

Have been here a few times with my girlfriend. We love the atmosphere, the couches, the plethora of vintage board games and the coffee and sandwiches are fantastic. But I have to laugh at an oddity, someone named Tony. All the times weve been here, weve never met him, but during every visit we have heard a customer express their gratitude that Tony wasnt there.Tldr, Comfy, visually pleasing and great coffee and food! Avoid Tony haha.

I hadnt been here in years but it didnt change much. THeres eclectic furniture and plenty of Nooks in which to do your thing. The coffee was coffee. It satisfied my need for morning coffee. I got an egg, tomato and cheese sandwich which was good. HOWEVER, Im dinging a star because the employee was not that friendly. Acted like he was doing me a favor. At least they didnt kick me out like the darn Dunkin Donuts!

Two stars, since the decor was funky, yet kind of interesting. And it was pretty quiet and comfy.My issue is not with the space itself, but several other things:1. Coffee- I had the rather surly barista remake my latte. Both times it tasted horrible. I tried drinking the first one, but the bitter taste got to me ( ordered a hazelnut latte.) I took it back to the barista and asked if he could fix it... I would even pay for another pump of flavor if it helped.His response? “ Well why did you even drink it if you hate it? I already put three pumps in!” I just stood there for a minute. He took it with a disgusted look, and finally remade it. It still tasted horrible, but I just sucked it up . Tossed it in the trash after I left 😬2. WiFi: Cuts in and out. Please look into this!3. Surly barista (see above comments)

Wonderful cozy place. The chocolate chip bread pudding is out of this world.

This place is super friendly, funky, and fun (the three most important fs). Very cool art adorns every possible surface and crevice. There is some regular cafe seating in the entrance by the counter, which opens up to a much larger area with three separate sitting areas with coffee tables and funky couches and arm chairs. Free wifi, air conditioning, and access to power plugs at each sitting area. I spent the day working in one of the three seating areas on my laptop, and had an almond croissant in the morning, iced tea and veggie sandwich (grilled eggplant, peppers, portobello mushroom, hummus, and cheese on flat bread) and side salad for lunch. The food was really good! As of the time of writing, there is some serious road work/construction going on next door, so the place was difficult to see driving by. But it is where it says it is on Google maps!

Relaxed ~bohemian atmosphere, free wifi, decent (but not excpetional) coffee and teas that are surprisingly good. The sandwiches are simple but pretty nice and theres a pleasant selection of baked goods.
