Amazing dessert!!! They have many durian dessert options. It is rare to find a dessert shop with durian options. The durian Millie cake was absolutely delicious. I really wanted to try the dessert bowl but maybe next time. The mango bowl was yummy but the shaved ice melted quickly so the bowl because watery within the first 5 minutes.
I came here with a large group (9 of us) and the staff were exceptional at catering to us, even making space for all of us to sit during a busy night. The food was great and with each dish that came out, the whole table was surprised at how good the food looked! If you like mango, this is definitely the place for you.
Holy mango! This is the best dessert place I’ve eaten at in decades! I tried many different things on the menu, and they were all incredible — but I think the MANGO PANCAKE is my new all-time favorite dessert!! It has very simple ingredients and it tastes incredible! I think its only ingredients are mango, heavy whipping cream, and a crepe made with eggs & flour! And it’s not too sweet, either… I think it’s sweetened only by the mango itself! Definitely check out this place. It’s great. Staff is very friendly, too.
All your sweet mango cravings find their fix here!We had the mango sundae and some mochi and loved them. Their menu is very large and all the desserts have images of them, making it easier to newcomers to choose what they want and what to expect. Definitely will be coming back
If you are mango lovers like me, this is the must-visit dessert place for you in Philly Chinatown. All their mango desserts look really delicious, which made us having really hard time to order! I visited this place several times, according to all my previous experiences at here, I highly recommend to try any of their “Matcha & Mango” combination dessert if you are first time visiting this place! In addition to that, I strongly suggest you to try their new dish “Boba Brown Sugar Crepe Cake” if you love both boba & brown sugar! This will be my go-to dessert place after the meals when craving for mango or when Im near Chinatown!
Tdlr: The products were average and poorly made, the service was horrible, prices ok, parking average. I dont recommend.Menu: My biggest problem with this menu is that there are names for things (in Chinese and also poorly translated) with no description whatsoever. At some point we read the Chinese and English and had no idea what some of this stuff was. Considering this is a US based chain theres not really an excuse for this. And my grandmother and father are both HK immigrants, so in theory this should be up their alley. My other qualm with this shop is the fact that everything has dairy in it, which you can only tell from the tiny dairy free sticker on like 3 products. Like even the sesame soup has dairy in it. For a population that is lactose in tolerant, other than drinks there was not a lot of option. I didnt remove stars from this, but it was a disappointment.Food: I ended up getting a mango pancake which is just a slice of mango and whipped cream under a crepe. I dont understand how an American chain can have such a poor English description, like in no world was that a pancake. My sister got the black sesame soup and it was poorly mixed and had a skin on it, my pancake was good for what it was, my grandmother got sago with herbal jelly which was OK and my father got the mo mo cha cha which, as both him and my grandmother pointed out, its good but not a real mo mo cha cha. This place has so many good reviews but honestly this place is below average for a cafe. The only thing thats good is their drinks, which is why there is 2 stars instead of 1. We wanted a taste of HK bit got a taste of mediocrity.Service: All of our stuff came out at vastly different times, to the point where we ended up getting a 10% discount because of slow service. There is no reason that this is a sit down service, Im surprised it wasnt an order at the counter and pick up your food when ready kind of deal. The girl couldnt remember our order, and it took way to long to cook everything that we ordered. They were nice but it was overall irritating, especially since our food wasnt what we wanted.Parking: like typical Philly Chinatown you either have to street park or get in a garage. We managed to get a street spot a few blocks down pretty easily.Overall based on our experience we wont be going back to any locations. I want to support Asian businesses so bad, that I tried to convince myself this is good. But the experience was so poor that I cant in good consciousness recommend this to others. Find a local mom and pop cafe to support instead of this bad chain, lots of options in Chinatown.
Seems like a good place to stop on a rainy day in Philly, but ended up mostly disappointed. The menu offers promising selection of dessert items, but the warm / hot dishes were poorly heated. Black Sesame Soup had some clumps thats a telltale sign of warmed overed dessert soup (skin).Kitchen or waitstaff also missed bringing out another hot item, rendering it lukewarm.Cute decor, mango themed menu, and great location helps... But would need stronger core qualities to bring in repeat customers.
I usually go to the Edison store and decided to visit this branch because I was in the area. I dont know if it was because it was the weekend but our order took so long to come out, which is the only reason Im giving the place 3/5. Interior design looks great and the desserts are the same high quality as other branches though so if you want something sweeit definitely stop by.
So many options to ice cream, waffle sandwiches, crepes, etc. Theyre all made with fresh fruits and made in house.I ordered the waffles with durian and Thai durian ice cream. Im a BIG durian fan - loved it as a kid 😁 its a big step for people to even go past the smell! But I loved it, so fresh and creamy!!! Would love to go back to have some more! They are more towards the mango flavor with ice cream, smoothie but they also have other flavors or add ons such as matcha, sago, red bean, Nutella, and many more. Enjoy!
We visit this place everytime we are in Philly. They offer very unique desserts centered around mangoes. Any of their sundaes with Mangoes are worth trying. The layers cake was really good too. Definitely recommend giving this place a try if youre in Philly.
Such a cute place! They have the most delicious desserts unique to the culture which are unique in of themselves. I had the Ube soup with sago and rice balls, Oreo crepe cake, and banana smoothie. The girls were so nice and let me sit in there for quite a while when I was waiting for something to finish. Would 100% return here!
Awesome dessert options that are difficult to find elsewhere in Philly. If you don’t want a calorie/sugar overload, they have plenty of lighter items on the menu too.
We came late, near closing time but even then there were a lot of people. Weve made a to go order and waited a bit. Place was busy! Even then, the assistance was prompt and courteous.Weve requested additional ice to go with our order and it was done immediately. We ordered and ice cream/mango/rice bowl and a cake. Both were really good! We will come back to try more of the offerings!
Great dessert for newcomers and visiting. Portions are pretty large but every time I go I always have so much left over. Great ice creams!
The desserts were pretty good, especially the ones with mango incorporated in it. I had a personal issue with one of the desserts but I addressed it with one of the staff and she fixed it right away.Overall it was a pleasant experience
Never order cake, it gave me uncontrollable diarrhea for a whole day. It even kept me up all night. I was not able to get any sleep for the whole night. Now my bottom has burns from paper and so much toilet usage overnight. Just order ice cream here instead of cake and save your bum the painful experience.
Really nice atmosphere. Super clean. They have a large variety of desserts and ALL of them look like they smack
Delicious desserts. There is a location in northeast Philadelphia too. Best mango desserts. Parking kinda sucks.
Located in the China Town of Philly. Nice desert shop to enjoy ice cream combos with Mango as a prime ingredient! Liked the flavor and combinations they have but somewhere I did not feel it to be of natural ingredients. On some combos they serve actual local mango pieces. Ambiance is nice and clean. If lucky, one can find parking right outside otherwise need to find on the streets of Philly. Usually parking is not free within specific timings and rates are $0.25 for 10/15min. Good thing is this place is open late night so you can enjoy deserts with your friends/family anytime. Can definitely recommend this place.
Love this place! So many delish desserts
Dont go here if you want to eat alone. I was seated before 2 different parties (walk-ins like me) Both the large parties were waited on before me. I stayed 5 minutes after their orders were taken and no one checked on me. The waitress instead went to go clean a table. Once I stood up to leave is when the waitress asked me if I was ready to order. I said no and all the waitress said was okay. Ive been on my phone for the past 6-7 minutes. I dont how much more obvious can it get. That red haired waitress working Friday night is extremely rude. My family and I will not be going here again.
Fresh dessert and amazing atmospheres, a must go place. Staffs are friendly and their wide varieties of desert will surely bring smiles to all your friends.
I love how fresh the mango is here. Everything is great except their durian ice cream. It smelled so bad and tasted even worse. I know it’s an acquired taste but the smell just got into my nose and ruined my delicious mango ice cream. Don’t get this unless you want to regret. Everything else was amazing though.
This place offers many somewhat traditional taiwanese-style desserts such as grass jelly, taro ball, mango pudding, crepe cake, shaved ice and more. Warm dessert such as black sesame ‘soup’ can also be found here. Do not worry if you and your friends don’t enjoy the same kind of sweets because there so many to choose from.Service was great and staff were very informative. I had the grass jelly with taro ball which was very refreshing and not too sweet. Price wise - everything was reasonably priced. There are some card and board games for costumers to enjoy too!
Amazing service, amazing desserts. This is the first place I feel the desserts match the pictures on the menu. The portions are HUGE! SO SO GOOD! Do yourself a favor and try it for yourself.
My husband and I arrived an hour before closing. We noticed a bit of a crowd waiting for their orders. No one seemed to have wanted a table, so we sat down at an empty one. One of the staff told us the table isnt available and that there was a waiting list. Assuming the waiting list was the crowd waiting for their desserts, we understood and got up. We placed our order at the counter to go, but in the 15 mins we waited, everyone got their desserts and left. Not a single person sat at that empty table. Where were the people on this waiting list, and why did the waitress lie about it?? It couldnt have been the time (and hour before closing) since another table just placed their order when we arrived. The experience left a bad taste. I would not return as I ended up not feeling welcome. Had I known she lied about the waiting list, I would not have ordered anything. Its a shame because its a great concept. The mango mille crepe cake was delicious. The mango juice & black rice combo left much to be desired, but I appreciated how refreshing everything was. Too bad they dont have the best customer service.
Nice place great service and DELICIOUS DESSERTS 😋😋😋😋
Came here on their first official grand opening day on the 22nd. They offering free mango juices in this hard plastic bottle for purchases over $20. The decor haven’t changed much, looks pretty much the same from the previous establishment. Let me just start by saying the service was really slow that day. We ordered only three items and each item takes about 20 minute intervals to reach our table. Then the items come out all soft and melted already, like it was just sitting there neglected until the staff finally brought it over. I know Mango Mango is a hit in New York, but this place seems like it’s underperforming. Maybe they are still trying to get things under control, but my first experience here is not a good one. Might give them a try again soon and see how they improve.
Love this place, their crepe cakes are delicious! This is go-to dessert place in Chinatown.
Reasonably priced desserts, not too sweet and lots of different things to try! Highly recommend if you are in the Chinatown area to pop in after a meal.
Would highly recommend this place to all mango lovers.
Good place with good design. Okay dessert to share. Good
Better than I expected! The wait staff is fast but getting the food is slow.Get: Waffles or Panna CottaAvoid: CrêpesThe waffles are the same batter as the Hong Kong Egg Waffle. Its a crispy and chewy waffle with a coconut ice cream.Panna Cotta has a mango gel on top with pieces of fresh mango. Its a sweetened cream lightly thickened with gelatine (vegans be aware). I think it panna cotta should be a little thicker, but it was great choice! The bad: For already made desserts, it took longer to receive our desserts, and the waffle will take longer. The crêpes were frozen and gummy. It looks pretty, but its nothing more than that.
Great place to stop by for some good dessert... we tried Mo Mo Cha Cha soup.... was great... also tried Green Tea Mille Crepe and Mango Miller cake ...mango was good .... staff was great help recommending different option in different section... and their recommendation was great.... Must visit place if you in Philly for some dessert
Really fun and delicious dessert place. Excited to try more of their dishes!
Workers didn’t seem like they care or wanted to serve us. So rude!
Liked the desserts. Only problem is lack of parking near the restaurant
Second store I have been to. Very friendly staff. Clean environment.
Love it. Love it. Love you. Love you. I love everything about this place. The food, the texture and the cardio the food is immaculate and never ever stop coming here. There is new items every few weeks plus there is a huge menu to choose from. They have a great selection of classic desserts they also have a plethora of fine cakes and bowls of fruits. You’ll also find an awesome combo which I recommend for a hot date and recommend the mega mango combo day as it comes with a beautiful tea set. Yes have a great selection of crab waffle and fruit selection and you’ll find her tea section is amazing.
If you love mangos, then you will love this place! I have tried multiple items and all have been AMAZING.
Love Love Love this place! 😭
For what it’s worth, Mango Mango boasts a skillfully designed, relaxing atmosphere and more importantly, an expansive menu with both dairy and non-dairy selections. Came for dessert after a friend’s birthday dinner and there was a big table calling our name. Our party of five was seated right away and we took our time scanning the menu. One of my friends was mulling over an option including durian, which is such an exotic fruit it is even banned in some countries, and because it’s not commonly requested, the server was kind enough to bring a small dish of it for the entire table to sample. Some didn’t mind its semi-garlicky taste; I, however, was not a fan, so I settled on the vanilla sundae with strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup. Everything about our experience was for the most part good, though my only gripe is that they have a $15 minimum if you pay with a card, so bring cash if you don’t plan to spend that much!
This place is awesome. They have so many items to choose from with so many flavors. The mango is so good and fresh. My girlfriend and I had one of the combos so we could try a few things and they were all great and delicious. There is a type of fruit that was put on top one of the desserts that was pink and it was so sour it tasted disgusting with everything else. But I moved that out of the way. Nice interior and friendly staff.
Packed inside with customers. Good dessert
Food was good. Service was not.
So yummy! Always get the A1 or A3 and one (or two) of the milli cakes. We stop by here to pick up pretty often - quick service and super friendly.
Friendly staff. Prices are reasonable. Restroom was clean. Decor is cozy. Its a dessert spot and mostly everything has mango, hence the name mango mango. Very creative the desserts they have created using mango. I have not had the pleasure to enjoy a dine-in experience yet. Mango mango is a must try, especially if youre in Chinatown. Bon Appétit!
Currently in the store cashier is nice I like the ice cream
For a person who hates super sugary desserts, this place is amazing at making sure that the their dishes have the right amount of sugar! Cant wait to come again!
A friend of mine told me about how good this place was and how unique their desserts were. After a long day of eating, I definitely had to get dessert somewhere and this hit the spot so, so, so good. The crepe cakes are highly recommended and the matcha and durian flavors are the way to go. If you like durian, the durian flavored crepe cakes definitely did not skimp on the good durian funkiness. The best part was it tasted natural and real, not artificial. The matcha was also very good and topped with a healthy helping of matcha powder. Both were great on their own.
Awesome ice creams, great staff
For those that haven’t been here you’re missing big time desserts are the bomb!!! Wished they had this in Miami, Fl
Food is delicious.
Interesting options with mango. The mango ice cream was out of the world and with waffles, the combination is great!
Amazing food, if you love mango youll be thoroughly impressed by this place. It really is mango themed, with everything including or tasting of mango. The combos are perfect for sharing a couple of deserts with friends after a meal. Im not a desert person and so I trend toward more mango heavy dishes. Amazing.
