Inspired by my late-father’s coin collecting hobby, My son got really into the idea of being a collector himself. He asked me for an 1880’s Morgan Silver Dollar to start his collection for his upcoming 10th birthday. He finds them on online auctions and shows me the listings often. They are 90% silver 10% copper, and can always be sold for at least the current price of their precious metal content and therefore very difficult to get at a price that makes sense right now.I walked into a coin shop Saturday and asked the the gentleman if I could buy one and he said, “good luck, every shop and jeweler buys them and rarely sells them to the public.” Defeated I walked back towards work and decided to stop at “Max Weiner Fine Jewelers” to try my luck. The gentleman there said something similar but in a kinder tone, so I asked him if he could at least tell me if that’s a good coin to start a collection for a 9 year old kid. He said, “that’s my favorite coin and I’ve been collecting for years....Tell you what, just hang tight for a second.” He disappeared into the basement, and returned with an incredible 1888 Philadelphia Morgan Silver Dollar...since it’s for a kid to start a collection, I’ll sell you this one (for way more than a fair price based on what they go for online). I thanked him and offered to pay him more an he replied “no, it’s my pleasure.” You can still find good in the world, even when it’s entirely unexpected! 10/10 would recommend!

Wonderful people with a great reach to get the diamond and ring youre looking for + more. I did most of my communication through emails and texts with Alicia because of my schedule and because I currently live far from Philly, and she did everything possible to accommodate me. The engagement ring was completed quickly and is absolutely gorgeous. I was recommended to go here by my best friend and they lived up to my higher expectations. Their costs are very competitive and they also offered to re-size it whenever necessary. Overall, a great experience!!
