This has been my goto place for futons for the past 16+ years. Ive never been dissatisfied or disappointed in both the quality of both mattresses and frames. Every piece is high quality. Hard to believe that my first Google review is for a furniture store, but Tom at Futon Favorite provides exceptional service and I cant help but broadcast it.

The owner was helpdful and gracious, the showroom was rather cramped and crowded with displays. The futons are a semi-custom manufactured with foam also added to the core in several sizes like mattresses.

The owner is very nice and helpful! Not to mention knowledgeable, so I knew I was making the right decision. Will be getting my futon refilled here soon!

We purchased a full size futon couch just before Christmas (family coming).. my husband sat on every one and we chose a beautiful sleigh style... had it delivered and assembled... very comfortable... a BEAUTIFUL addition to our living room... We like it so much we ordered a matching chair and ottoman... GREAT experience... we like to shop local!!

We got a futon and the frame here. Great service! He came and set it all up for us, climbed our stairs several times to get everything up and even hauled away our old futon. The futon is comfy.

Just wanted to thank Tom for his dedication to his craft. I went looking for a futon and I thought that I needed a love seat, but after Tom installed it, I realized that it wasnt going to work for me. I went back to Futon Favorite and explained my dilemma and Tom was more than agreeable. He helped me choose a full-sized futon and I was able to get something that is easy to navigate and it is so comfortable. I love opening and closing my futon. It is so easy! I sleep like a baby! In October 2007 Tom made my wife and I a custom futon mattress of latex, wool, and organic cotton. Not only was he not as expensive as others wed looked at, he took the time to show me the process and explain the materials so I knew that my wife and I were sleeping on a healthy surface. Its now 11 years later and I just found out hes still in business and wanted to offer him a BIG BIG thanks for all the perfect nights of sleep weve enjoyed because of his craftsmanship. We will certainly buy our next futon from him.

We were sort of doubtful at first, but this place was great! Decent prices, if a tad expensive, but thats understandable. The guy was super helpful and knowledgeable, and didnt try to push us to get the most expensive stuff either.

I Purchased a Gorgeous Antique Mahogany Platform Bed frame, and even had a Queen size Mattress, Constructed & Hand-Stitched by Tom, the owner himself. We liked our futon so much we ordered a duplicate! Tom provides top notch service. Visiting in person can be difficult because of parking but it is worth it to see all the samples.

We purchased a futon from this store in April. When we got it home we quickly realized that the color did not work in our decor. We called Tom and he was very accommodating and agreed to exchange the frame, no questions asked. Of course we returned the frame undamaged, repacked in the original box. Tom was fantastic to work with and we highly recommend them!!

So I was looking for an all natural bed to begin floor sleeping as it was recommended by my naturopath (the natural bed not the floor sleeping). I was looking at shikibutons from Japan but wow are they out of my price range. During my search The Futon Favorite popped up and I went to have a look. It is so rare to meet an owner of a store nowadays but he is such a nice guy! He was friendly, let me try one out that was on display, and offered a modification that will benefit my size. I decided to buy within 5 minutes as he handcrafts them in the store. In just a few days I will have a handcrafted shikibuton style bed at half the cost of ordering from Japan. Thank you Tom for a truly easy and amazing experience! I am excited to start sleeping on it!

My reply to Daniel Mendoza. Daniel I am dis-heartened to read of your slanderous review. I give customer service to each person. that is how we have stayed in business for over 22 years. I dont judge people by how they look. That is a number one rule in retail.Everyone is equal. Call me a racist ? Hardly. I am open minded and always have been. To say I dont like gays is ridiculous. Little do you know my one and only brother died of Aids in San Francisco 27 years ago and I loved him from the day he was born til he died. I still cry at the drop of hat if I talk about him.You are wrong again in your irrational assumptions and false accusations regarding me and the business. Of course the futon is unbleached cotton. Their natural sleep surfaces....that is what people want.Natural cotton...unbleached. Thin cotton covering. ??? Not quite . We use 6 1/2 oz cotton twill and canvas to make our mattresses with. You did not buy a cover for your mattress. My products are not cheaply made and I will never be the cheapest in town. I have always been middle to high end. You never bothered to call us or tell us anything. That would have been the sensible thing to do. We always work things out. That is what sales and service are about.Your review reads like something from the competition. I have hundreds of customers each year and I wish they would write a review.I mean hundreds of happy customers who never bother to write a review. Our repeat buyers are at 42% and that is high for the furniture industry to have people come back and buy again and to refer others. If you would like please call me and we can rectify anything you think is not right. Just being angry doesnt help you or me or the potential other buyers who need to come and see for themselves how we operate and treat people. There are still plenty of people who still want a bricks and mortar futon shop in their town.

Tom was extremely helpful. He has a great sense of humor and explained the different options that his futons come in. He also helped me load my sofa futon into my Mazda 6. Highly recommend this store, while the prices my be higher than Walmart, the quality of the product and mattress are top notch.

I have been waiting to write a review, these guys are good. They have been very helpful in me finding the perfect couch come bed, I am single and this is the perfect thing for me, but I am soon going to buy a bed from them. This thing is classy, everyone that comes over is more interested in the futon than my conversations. So that is saying a lot.

I honestly had a bad experience in this store. I wrote a really bad review before but deleted it after a while because I know the importance of reviews are to a business. In my experience me and my brother just arrived in Arizona from the east coast to start things fresh. Were not rich, but were not poor neither.When we asked to see the cheapest bed that he had it seemed like he became offended and didnt want our business. He might have had a bad day that day but I dunno. The reason we wanted the least expensive bed we could find at that time is because neither of us had a job yet, we only had a pile of money which was supposed to last us 3 months until we had jobs but we ended up leaving the store not buying anything. I just wanted to let you all know if he gets upset just try to deal with it and ask if hes having a bad day. I deleted my last review a few years ago out of concern for his business and family. It is a nice store though with a big variety.

We looked for several days to find something to fit in a den at our apartment. We were not having luck finding what we wanted. We went to the futon store, and we were able to create a custom futon for our space in a matter of minutes. The delivery was easy to schedule, and it was available in a short amount of time. The store is neatly organized, and for a custom product this place is a steal! We had looked at several other stores for hidabed options and this was half the price! The futons available here do not look like your cheap college dorm room futons they are comfortable, and beautiful pieces of furniture. I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a spare bed, or just a lovely couch! The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Best Customer Experience Ever!! I dont even Live in Arizona. Im in Washington D.C.I purchased a used futon from a friend of mine, and it didnt come with the assembly directions. And the only company that created this futon was none other than Futon Favorite in Arizona. So I emailed Futon Favorite, and received a quick response from the Owner Tom Flower. He requested my address, and I had the directions mailed to me within a week. Tom, and Futon Favorite Store,Thanks for the recent full size memory foam mattress ! Wow, not only is it light but my daughter loves it. Even though its light to carry, it is really solid and comfortable. I am pretty impressed with this mattress. You helped me put the memory foam in my backseat of my corrolla about a month ago.I drive from Rimrock AZ to your store because I know the 3 mattresses i had purchased in 2002 were great.They lasted well, were well made by you Tom, ( i remember as I had to order them and you made them.) Oh and they also were reasonably priced.. And I am a fan of futons since i purchased my bed there.Now i am jealous of my daughters mattress, the full memory foam one, so i am planning to come down for one for me soon.Thanks Tom! Tom didnt have what I was looking for in stock when I visited his store last week, but I liked his attitude and style of customer service, so I had him order what I wanted. He received my Shoji screens in when he said he would, and they were waiting for me when I went back today to pick them up. He even helped me load them in my truck.
