My wife and I fell in love with this place. The Sunday fried chicken meal was delicious and the service was top notch. They have a great selection of rotating beers on tap as well as a fridge full. They have a cool atmosphere and its going to get even better when the rooftop patio opens.

Great service. Really tasty food and margarita. They have a plant-based menu! I had the North Carolina bowl which was really good but I think it could be improved with the addition of rice or beans on the side or maybe in the bowl. It was really loud inside and completely full with people at dinnertime.

The parking lot may require an extensive walk depending on your arrival time but once in the door your greeted with a smile, asked to choose your own seating and tasked with scanning your menu. Pro Tip for beer drinkers, there is a $2 open fee if you take a beverage from the fridge so I recommend sticking to the taps to avoid any confusion on your tab. Regardless, the beer selection is ample, filled with local goodness and refreshingly cold. The food (I went with the green chile stew) was spicy AF but I love that so I was enjoying every savory bit. My missing star is on account of an odd interaction with a staff member who through her awkward inquiry and response regarding my partys sudden departure made the end of my visit weird enough to lose a star. Prior to that interaction I was pleasantly engaging with every staff member. Not even sure who she was but it prompted me to vocalize the fact, Id be writing a review of my experience which I never share publicly with a business.

Been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint! Over a hundred beers with around 30 on tap. They specialize in smoked meats and put a new Mexican twist on a lot of their dishes. The smoked jalapeno poppers and the rosemary goat cheese cheesecake with a lavender honey drizzle were both amazing. Highly recommend. The sliders were okay as the Hawaiian rolls didnt hold up to all the toppings and you couldnt really appreciate the smoked meats but definitely going back to try more of their menu.

I have been here a couple of times now and it has always been a blast!! The vibes and decor are beautiful. They have SOOO many delicious drink options AND the food never fails. Plus you are supporting a local business. It doesnt get much better than this ... or at least not until they open their ROOFTOP patio!! I would highly recommend.

Came for the pub pass staid for the food. This place not only has a ton of beers on tap but a full bar full of amazing cocktails! The food was unexpectedly fantastic. Soo good! My wife and I went on a date to the Love Craft man-o-man what a meal to remember plus the atmosphere was OUT of this world. The Eddie were so helpful with the menu he was our Waiter, the hot sauces were also something I will remember. My wife and I will be returning very shortly as soon as we can.

I was pretty sure this was going to be one of my new favorite restaurants. Id been wanting to try it for such a long time!My husband and I had a date here the other night. We ordered the lobster bisque and were absolutely blown away. So good. The portions were generous and even the sides were spicy in the best way. Overall, dinner was delicious. I wish we could say the same for dessert.Word of caution: do not order the vegan strawberry cheesecake. I love vegan food and consider myself a bit adventurous and not very picky. My husband loves cheesecake. This one was pretty inedible though. We each took one bite and couldnt stomach the flan-like texture of the cheesecake that was also somehow super grainy at the same time. What was a little more disappointing was when we asked to return it or try a different dessert instead, they just told us they dont do that. Paid $8 for two (small) bites of cheesecake and our server didnt seem to care to make it better. The rest of the food was good enough that well probably be back. I was unimpressed by the service but our food came out on time and they checked on us enough that I cant complain. If we come back we might try a different dessert, or make plans to hit dairy queen on the way home for a sundae.

Everyone needs to try the smoked prime rib, probably in our top 3 meals weve every had! The prime rib was perfect, the smoking adds an extra element, mashed potatoes seasoned well. We will definitely be back next time we are in Phoenix!

It was my first visit here and I am so glad I stopped in to eat. Usually when I drive by it is packed. I had the chips and queso, as well as the pulled pork tacos. The food was delicious! I am normally one to try food and then have to salt it...but I didnt use a lick of salt here. What I did use was copious amounts of the red and green salsa mixed together...with the chips and queso...on the tacos...with the rice...so very good. I also appreciated the fact that the salsas came in capped bottles - a fantastic way to not be wasteful! Chris was my server and he was helpful, friendly and full of information. Eddie helped on a few drink refills and cashed me out. There was a super nice chick with awesome curly hair who refilled my drink a few times also. I will be sure to recommend Lovecraft and be back by for something new on another day!

This place is freaking awesome! Love the atmosphere. Great prices too. One of the few breweries that offers a 5oz and 10oz option in addition to a regular pint.

The combination of smoked meat and Mexican food is great! Plus the added bonus of an amazing list of Beers on Tap and other great cocktails makes this place a favorite! They have specials for Friday and Saturday, with Lobster bisque, and Prime Rib! The prices are really reasonable and well worth it. The staff is very nice and helpful. Seating is first come first serve. We went there on a Saturday night and didnt have to wait long for seats, even though it was full of people. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a good beer and some good times! Cheers!

I was there last night to watch the Suns game. The atmosphere was great the whole time. The food was great, and my server (Serenity) was amazing! Shes very professional and very welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely be going back again! 😋

Just got back from Lovecraft and it was pretty tasty. The atmosphere was fun, live music and lively patrons, the drink selection was great, and nice to see lots of local beers on tap. I grabbed a green chili burrito and it was tasty. That green sauce was wicked good, spicy too. The filling in the burrito was also nice and tender. The beans were fine, but lacked flavor. They needed something more. The rice was pretty dry. The misses had the Mac and cheese topped with brisket. Brisket was so moist and tasted great but the Mac and cheese was meh. Flavor was good but it definitely was missing that sort of extreme cheese youd expect. The noodles werent dry, but it definitely didnt have the ooey gooey cheese Ive come to expect when getting Mac and cheese at places. I was with my in-laws who said the food is delicious and this wasnt the norm, so Id be willing to give it another go for sure. Fun place and they have a sweet rooftop patio that will be great when it cools down a little. Give them a try.

They had a tasty mead flight that I hadnt found many other places. The environment was ideal and they accommodated our group with no problem. Food was a nicer than normal bar food, and the dessert was worth squeezing it in. The beer selection was amazing as well, so many great options.

The atmosphere is quirky and cool, the service was great and the food was amazing. They have a nice vegan/vegetarian section! That’s whatTwo of us in my party ordered from and they were both delicious. We are the green chili Mac and cheese as an appetizer and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! My only issue is that they are so far from where I live. I’d love to see a west side location (near Arrowhead). I highly recommend this restaurant

There are so many great things about this place! The food is high quality New Mexican style cuisine. Its creative, fun, and delicious. And they have Plant-based Vegan options!!! The service is superb! Karen is beyond amazing! Ive never seen someone work so hard to make the customers experience beyond amazing. The decor, style, and feel of the place is classy but casual, hipster but neighborhood, and definitely eclectic and entertaining. Great neighborhood hangout. Food has flavor and a kick of spice. You know its good when the cilantro is fresh cut and you can taste it before biting into the meal. Its Tapas so was able to try most of the menu it was all very good but loved the pork street tacos the best! Beer selection is extensive and servers/bar tenders know their stuff. Service was great (expect to be there a while - its laid back), price was very reasonable. Overall this is a great place to unwind and enjoy good food beer and wine.

Amazing food! Love the vibe of the place, too. Our server, Chris, was fantastic, and gave us a rundown of the menu, and was a huge help in our food decisions. My boyfriend is from Las Cruces, and was very impressed with the food/flavors. We will definitely be adding this place to our list of date night spots!

What a delightful time! Went for a free Mead tasting (Which was delicious: buy Superstition Mead), but also got a hearty lunch that was immensely satisfying. I went with a special, which was the prime rib sandwich. Supremely flavorful and filling. Good fries, too. Got a bottle of Mead to go. Id absolutely recommend the place!

A very interesting concept. Large plant based menu, and what we ordered was really good. We also order some of the BBQ briquet and it was excellent too. Large selection of beers on tap. They have a 5oz poor allowing for tasting of them.

Pick-up order, first time. (Have not sat down).I devoured the Southwest Wedge, a $16 non-spicy smoked&pulled chicken salad w/ a few odds & ends that you can wrap up in each of the 5 or 6 iceburg leaves. I loved it, amazing idea. Also my 5 year old devoured her $6 kids burger & fries, as well as a few large leaves of my iceburg, but for whatever reason, she was unimpressed w/ the White Mac n Cheese ($9/pint). Oh well -- I enjoyed hers. Thanks for cooking!

Very fun place. Lots of good beverage selections. Food is phenomenal - Pay attention to the spicy notes on the menu! Staff was friendly. Bartender was a little standoffish. I understand that everywhere is understaffed and struggling right now, but service should still be adequate and friendly. I asked for an actual menu for my mother in her 60s whose not tech friendly and in dim lighting, and the waitresses acted like it was huge burden to find one. Didnt take a drink order. When attempting to order was told we couldnt substitute fires for a salad as I have done on previous occasions. Our presence was a burder so we just left. Unfortunate because I had been talking this place up to my mother for a long time. The food is great, wine selection is great. Love the atmosphere. But I cant say Ill be back after being treated this way this time.

Food was good after sending every plate back to get fixed. Menu descriptions did not accurately reflect what came out of the kitchen. While the BBQ tasted really good, they certainly did not provide much compared to the price. One meal came out too spicy for one of our party to eat, but the menu certainly made no mention of how hot it would be.Drinks were good and they had a lot of variety. A bit on the pricier side than the many other draft houses or breweries weve gone to. They didnt honor our pub passes in the way the pub pass was intended, instead giving us discounts ($2?) on beers rather than penny beers. They gave us samplers for a penny instead. Quite disappointing as the waitress told us the establishment was in the pub pass against their will so they had no obligation to honor it. However they certainly advertise the pub pass in the front window. Seemed quite hypocritical and very much bait and switch.Waitress was attentive and nice, even through the pub pass explanation. We felt quite rushed to leave, though, as she was bringing our check before we were even done with our drinks or our food. There were plenty of open tables, so not sure why there seemed to be an urgency to get our table to leave. This nature really reduced my comfort level for the place and doesnt make me want to go back.The music was too loud to carry on a conversation. Even trying to discuss the choices with the waitress everyone had to repeat themselves multiple times, yet the volume seemed to stay the same throughout the meal.

I came here last night to buy my father a birthday gift. They had a wide range of wines and beers to choose from. Andrew, their employee, was very helpful. He helped me chose whats best for my father. He was very knowledgeable and informative about wines and beers. They also sell here the yummiest macaroons! I loved them! Great place for wine lovers!

Their super food salad is literally just 1/3 a bag of this cheap bag. It comes with a small ramekin of what seems to be shredded chicken from Cafe Rio. Their beef stew is basically a small cup of shredded beef - just by itself. They must have nice service and atmosphere, but the food is less than bare minimum.

Love this place. Great vibe and great selection of mead! They have games to play and host several events like tastings and open mic.

The reason I didnt give 4 stars is because of the service. The food was amazing. The best prime rib i have ever had. The potatoes and asparagus were done perfectly. My wife had the brisket tacos they were awesome. Waiter could pay attention a little better but all in all it was a good experience.

Clean and well managed during Covid. Great atmosphere lots of drink choices. Food was excellent and we all had leftovers. Good prices too. Started to share with others who want a nice get-a-way to some place a little classier than a bar.

In the last few months I have visited this little restaurant 4 times. I am not close by. I am over 40 minute away by car. But I will travel for Lovecraft every chance I get.We first visited for my husband and Is anniversary, I again visited for happy hour with friends, then a random Sunday afternoon, and recently for a pick up order for Fathers Day. Each time the restaurant was at a different level of business. But something notable was what never changed. And that was how friendly and kind the staff was, how delicious the food was, and how clean the restaurant is.I am a fan. That may actually be an understatement because if you talk to me about food I have recently eaten, I will tell you about everything I have eaten at Lovecraft with a crazed passion. I dream about the bacon wrapped jalapenos when I should be paying attention to zoom calls. I think about the perfect balance of creamy cheesiness and spicy green chiles in the green chile mac and cheese when I should be watching my step on the stairs. When I want a delightful sandwich, I immediately crave the the juicy prime rib sandwich and the crispy fries it comes with. I have also had the buttermilk fried chicken and the Chimichanga and I would tell you that regardless of what you choose off this menu, you will be happy. Not just happy but satisfied in a way most restaurants cannot even dream of.The staff is friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable. If you havent been to Lovecraft, do yourself a favor and go. Its delicious! You can truly feel the love and care that is placed into every decision made for this establishment.

What a great Sunday afternoon find! We came for the free Superstition Meadery tasting and live music, but stayed for the great Sunday specials ($5 slushies, pints and wine!) and the incredible smoke-and-green-chile infused food options. Chips with green chile queso had just the right amount of kick and were served with two bottles of fresh, lightly fiery housemade salsa; the street tacos were stuffed with incredibly moist smoked meats (and one with mushroom, for a vegetarian option); and the special, a prime rib French dip, was a perfect marriage of tender prime rib, toasted ciabatta bread, and rich caramelized onions. While it was quiet when we first arrived around noon, it had already started filling in when we left two hours later. With so many varieties of craft beer and wine available (to drink and purchase), plus the fantastic food options and overall eclectic communal vibe (think antique velvet chairs alongside board games and ping pong), we only wish this spot were a bit closer to our home in the East valley so we could make visiting a regular affair.

Lovecraft is a funky place that feels like a fancy parlor from the 20s slinging tasty New Mexican fare, craft beers, and cocktails. Tonight was Tarot Card Tuesday...I would have stayed if I had notice, but it gives me a reason to go back soon.I had smoked chicken tacos, brisket, and white mac and cheese. All were delicious, and I look forward to green chili mac and cheese next time!
