Not happy with the service whatsoever. The service line never gets you anywhere, sit on hold forever for calls to be dropped multiple times. Batteries die long before the said life expectancy. Most of all just horrible customer service. Selling my house and can’t get in contact with whomever deals with that since the call drops while on hold every time. I’m running out of time and livid at this point!
Just the absolute worst service you can imagine. System isnt even one year old and the battery dies. If you call the customer help desk you get lost in an abyss. They dont even know who my local installer is, since they use so many independent companies. Then they send my a battery that looks like it was pulled from a car engine, not the small lithium batteries. Did I mention the ONLY place you can find the correct battery is: you guessed it! ADT. ADT is just a big MLM scam.Youve been warned
I have been with adt for the past 3 years and they are the worst of the worst they took $400 out of my account without my permission and I call there customer service and they are of no help I’ve had techs come out and “fix” some of the problems and they still don’t work and they charge you but don’t get your problems solved I’ve had techs that don’t know much about there own job adt is the worst don’t sign up with them trust me they are great scammers and don’t care about the customers!
Get non-stop spam email from ADT all the time and cannot block it... just keeps coming, plus who wouldnt just use a Nest camera system in their home these days?!
An install tech was supposed to show up today between 8-9 am and never showed. No calls or texts explaing the absence. Please return the money that was paid

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY!!. We agreed to a two year contract and some how they changed it to a three year. Also, two months into our services one of the sensors died. The technician put it on the bottom of the window instead of at the top so condensation ruined the sensor. Husband tried multiple times to contact ADT as we could not set the alarm. No response back. Than other sensors started going bad and the heat detector went crazy on us and we had to remove it. Again my husband reached out to ADT via phone and website no one would ever return calls or messages. Last year they upped the monthly payment with no notice and my understanding was we were on a contract at the original price. Did actually speak to someone then and they were just like yeah that is how it is. That was also when I found out we were duped into a three year contract not the two!! Well, today went onto my bank account and once again they upped the monthly payment with no notice. I called the number on my bank statement and they said well we can knock off five dollars but we have to lock you in I said no way this is up in December and I am done with your company! Told them all the problems we have had and they tried to say we didnt contact the correct department. The rep I spoke to gave me the number to make sure it cancels on December 15th. I called that number and spoke to another rep and she informed me that I cant put it in now to cancel for the 15th of December because it wouldnt go through and they would charge me for an early cancellation of my contract. I have to call back on November 15th to cancel exactly 30 days before. But, reading some other complaints it looks like people still get charged. Horrible company. The only reason they got a star from me is because you have to click on the star in order to post. They should have negative stars for ratings because this company would get the max negative rating from us!!
Dont waste your time unless you want to pay at least $49 a month and be tricked into paying more money once the installer is out. If you dont have an active landline, then you dont qualify for their cheaper plans despite what they will tell you on the phone. They offered me like $2100 in credits, which, seemed amazing until you realize that they are just distracting you from their monthly pricing plans.They try to do everything to usher you along to the installation so that you are more likely to go along with it. Then it was extremely difficult to get my installation fee back. The installer had to call several people which took over an hour. Go with another installer that is more transparent or just go with a local company. I went with JPG Home Security and I am very pleased.
I was very concerned about the aesthetics of the panel,. The tech took great care to make sure I was happy. The wiring isnt even noticeable and blends in well. It was apparent that I wasnt getting a complete understanding of operating the panel. He didnt leave until I felt confident with the alarm and had no further questions.
ADT is the worst.
The extra star is only for the fact that everything works. Beware however, the ad you see in mailings for free alarm is a bate and switch. Meaning that when the installer gets there, they will install that so called free alarm system for the lengthy 36 month agreement...fine, but after the tech installed it, he turned into salesman pressure hound asking for $700+ for all the stuff I needed...which I didnt need. I had to fight my way out of the trap. He should have been upfront about the gimmick. Finally called to cancel the $10 a month Pulse I never asked for, and got the ridiculous waist of time 1.5 hour runaround.....avoid!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADT OR THIS DEALER. Did not show up on time. Did not install system properly. Required more than 10 phone calls to resolve the issue, because they would either hang up on me or keep me on hold for ours. They promised to cancel my service and give money back but never did. Do not trust your home security to this provider.
George has been harassing my cousin on Facebook for a while now. She came to this country as a child with her mother. They are now citizens. He commented on her Facebook:I’ll bet if those irresponsible mothers kept themselves and their children from traveling to the border with a bunch of unruley military aged men, they and their children wouldn’t have been put into the danger those military aged men put them through. This whole women and children tear gas thing is a false narrative. Also, if we had a massive wall there in the first place, nobody would have gotten tear gassed period. When you make an attempt to break through the United States Border, in a manner that all these migrants did breaking into and through Mexico, you can expect tear gas. Especially if you are going to be throwing pebbles over the dense at our first responders and military!🤔I notified ADT Phoenix of this with a screenshot. Their response?George has helped protect many families by providing them a security system through us and ADT. His political views are not a concern if he isn’t hurting anyone. You can see right in his bio that he agrees he is awkward and weird. But he is overall a great person.If this does not concern you, that is fine. However, given the large Latin population of Arizona, especially Southern Arizona, I thought some families may like to know that this is how he views things, and that he has a record of harassing an immigrant-turned-citizen on the subject-- and that this doesnt concern the company that puts him in your home.
Adt has charged my c.c. continuosly after canceling service and four month runaround and lies still no money
The home installer arrived early and was very courteous and sensitive to my time issue of having to get the system installed so I could get back to work.Very good experience.

They are a scam!!!! They charge you a deposit that is supposedly going to be refunded and then they never do.
I wish there were zero stars for this company! Horrible customer service, horrible company! Dont ever sign a contract with them, ever! If you ever need to speak to a manager they will keep transferring you until you get connected to ADT and never to Defenders (Protect Your Home) manager.
