This is the worst vision works I have ever been to. They consistently lose my orders. Provide no customer service. They are always curt and provide no solutions to customer issues. They up charge you to use a machine to scan your eyes. They won’t answer the phone and only let in by appointment. Save yourself some time and grief. Pick a different vision works.

Scheduled an appointment a couple of weeks ago then arrived today 10 minutes early as requested. Upon arrival was informed running 30 minutes behind schedule due to system down. I waited outside and Vanessa presented me with paperwork, some already filled out via online. Another gentleman who was waiting went in for his eye exam and knew I should be next. Not one person came outside to tell me it was my turn and I finally asked the status after waiting over an hour. Save yourself time and go to another facility. I was put in an exam room that was old and dingy as I waited for the Dr. After 10 minutes I Walked out!

++EDIT: Thanks for the response, Visionworks; however, prior to writing this review I already contacted customer service via email and still have not received a response on that end either.I have been a customer at this location for 6+ years. While I have never been disappointed with Dr. Bray, I will be taking his prescription elsewhere to purchase glasses from now on. I ordered a pair a month ago from the retail part of the store and still don’t have them or a timeline for completion. When I try to contact the store, I can’t get through “due to COVID,” or I get put through to the “after hours” message even during stated business hours, or I get hung up on. Because the online tracking for my glasses just says, “Oops! We can’t find this pair!” I have no other choice but to contact the store for updates. According to my phone log, I have called the store more than 20 times in the past two weeks only to get a hold of a person three times. Each time I have been told the glasses “failed inspection” and are being remade (apparently now for the third or fourth time). I have been promised three different times at this point that they will contact the lab to find out more details and call me back with an update, but I have yet to receive a call back ever. If this matter isn’t resolved soon, I will be disputing the charges through my bank and contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Just to get a trial lens, after 3 weeks, still no lens. I don’t think they were ordered to begin with. Tried calling the office 2 days in a row. No answer. Calls were dropped several times.DO NOT GO THERE.

I just finished my visit (eye exam) with Dr. Bray and I felt compelled to leave a review. I am beyond astonished at how personable, kind, funny, compassionate and informative he was. I did thank him in person, but I also wanted to share my experience for anyone who might be considering looking for a new optometrist because he provided one of the nicest human interactions I’ve had in the last year.

Doctor was great getting my prescription. Allyssa was great helping get my glasses order placed :-)

Bought two pair a couple months back. The sunglasses were fine. But I have tried the regular glasses since then and they have to be the worst glasses I have bought. I went back to my old glasses cause they are better than the ones from you. I had my eyes examined there and paid over $800 for the two. I am very disappointed with the quality. What can I say?

Everyone at this location has been extremely helpful. I purchased glasses with progressive lenses for the first time. After trying for weeks to adjust to them, I went back to Visionworks to get new lenses put it. Neil helped me multiple times and was always great. He got my prescription updated and new glasses ordered. I fully expected to be charged for the change, but my husband picked up my glasses today with no charge. Thanks for the great customer service.

I received a very thorough exam. My prescription for glasses was correct. The staff was happy and efficient. I received my glasses in only one week. I highly recommend this office for your future needs.

The staff was really friendly. By the time I arrived for my appointment they were a bit backed up but they were working fast and calm. Kept their friendliness thought my visit. Loved my experience here as a first timer. Will be visit again for future appointments if I need to.

The doctors & staff are always polite & amazing people. They definitely make me feel welcomed. Neil especially is amazing ! Great personality and he gives only the best recommendations when it comes to glasses !!! & the eye doctor with the blue eyes (forgot his name ) he was so quick, I was in and out within 15 minutes. He is very funny with a great personality as well.

Unfortunately they dont know how to look up all the insurance companies they accept. This doesnt make sense to me. I spent an hour of my time and they couldnt figure it out and tried to reschedule me. The tall girl up front didnt seem to care one bit that I left work early for this appointment. The only thing she said was ok, not an apology or any sympathy.

Had a confirmed appt., got a text the day of and everything to confirm and an email link to fill out my info only to be told at the time of the appt that they had double booked and there was no time slot available? Would not recommend

I have been going to the Ahwatukee location of Visionworks for a few years now. I have always enjoyed a thorough exam from friendly optometrists and the one time I had an issue with my lens replacement they were right on it. New exam, new lenses, no charge. The rest of the staff is great too! Very accommodating. Try them. You will like them. COVID masking required.

Ive been a patient here since FOREVER. I remember back in the day, when it used to be called Eye Masters. Definitely a long time patient & never had any issues. These are the kindest & most caring people EVER!! They truly love what they do & it shows during each encounter. Would recommend them a TRILLION times over!!! The best when it comes to customer service. I always leave with a huge smile on my face.

This Visionworks Ahwatukee location has a great optical staff and manager. The eye doctor is also by far the most friendly and very informative eye doctor Ive been to in years. Both my daughter and myself only schedule when shes at this location.

The doctor was not engaged at all. She kept questioning my answers, and acted like she was bored. I spoke with Neil about getting new glasses and he stated they did not have the latest progressive lenses in my prescription. Also transition lenses were not available. They wanted $600 dollars for the glasses. I went online and found a company who will do the upgraded progressive lenses and transition coating for $300. I will never use vision works again. What a sham they are.

My exam was very professional and safe. My doctor was very thorough and patient in explaining everything to me. I have seen her several times over the past 10 years and have always gotten a good prescription. This office takes social distancing and mask wearing seriously.

Everyone at the Visionworks Ahwatukee office were wonderful. Super helpful and knowledgeable. I want to thank Vanessa for each and every time I had an appointment, she was the one that assisted my son and I. She was exceptional. Help my son learn how to put contacts for the first time. I have been to different visionworks locations before and I have never been treated so great. I was raving about the excellent customer service to my roommate after my visit. Everyone was on their A game even through a pandemic and the end of the day. The receptionists, doctor and glasses advisor were amazing and friendly. They were able to take my insurance no problem and get me the best deal for glasses and contacts. 10 out of 10, I will be coming back to this location.

Vanessa and Dr. Patel are wonderful. Vanessa especially! She deserves kudos and I hope she gets it because that’s my reason for the review. The office is extremely busy, hard to get a hold of if it’s not Vanessa, idk if it’s the time of year or COVID but regardless, Vanessa went above and beyond for me multiple times to get contacts so I could work without my goggles fogging up at the hospital. Thank you!

Had to stop in cause I broke my glasses. Theyre taking COVID mad seriously. I had a thermometer on my head within 5 seconds of me being in there. I know this frustrates some but I absolutely love and appreciate it. Shout out for doing all that. Id feel safe bringing my mother by during the pandemic if she breaks hers too.

My Optometrist retired and so, I went with Vision Works, as I’ve obtained my glasses from them in the past- they did a great job- my appt was on time and I felt the Optometrist was thorough- I like this new technology they have that you can avoid dilation (which, isn’t happening due to Covid & social distancing) and that feeling afterwards! Totally worth the extra cost as we had plans afterwards.What kept me from giving them 5 stars was the woman helping me with my paperwork @ the end. She was distracted, the information she provided me for my contact order was incorrect bc she was distracted. I would just ask that she have some customer service training- would have made a big difference.

Dr. Paulin has been checking my eyes annually for years. Any vision change prescription that was needed provided spot-on correction needed. Also she checks eyes for overall health, not just for vision. Twice a possible medical issue in my eye was correctly spotted, thankfully. She coordinates well in this regard by forwarding her findings to my ophthalmologist. I will always have my vision test done by her. Also, although Dr Paulin is located at Visionworks store, there is zero pressure by her or the store to convert a new prescription into new glasses at that time. (I am happy with Visionworks, also, when I do get glasses which makes it very convenient for me.). Finally, I felt very comfortable getting my vision checked in this Covid-19 environment. They were very careful ... I felt safe.

I really liked this place. Convenient and friendly. The doctor was great. Even took the extra step to make the glasses and had me test to to make sure everything looked good. I did Have to wait 15 minutes after scheduled appointment even though I did the online paperwork and arrived 10 min early. But seems to be my luck most the time for appointments. They have lots of frames to choose from and didn’t pressure at all. Which means I’ll be going back. It can take me a couple trips to really decide what I want to wear on my face so truly appreciate that and beats guessing online to just save a few bucks. Service and choices A+

I came in 10’ earlier than my scheduled appointment Liz was at front desk, greeting me right away, offering to help with my needs.I asked for Neil as he was helping me 2yrs ago.Neil was busy in the back.Liz gave me opinions on three frames that I picked out. Carefully collecting to steriled ones that I tried on.I loved two of the frames and was undecided.Liz suggested I should get both, and she could also ask her manager for me for second opinion.Manager walked by briefly and also suggested my fav one .After 10’, more clients came in and the phone was ringing as well.While Liz was taking my frame measurements, her manager was with another clients, but yelled out across the platform, rushing Liz to finish up with me.I noticed some reactions, but Liz kept her composure as she continued to enter the order on the computer, even tried to offer me the second pairs at 50% off.I was going to take advantage of the sale but I decided not to, so she can finished with me .I really appreciated Liz for her knowledge, efficient and patience, not rushing me and give me the full attentions as she should with each of her customers.

The friendliest staff Ive ever met. Dr. Pauline is really nice and she keeps the tests short and I really appreciate that the most. Neils awesome, hes not gonna let you leave without feeling 100% confident about yourframe decision.

I received the wrong glasses and they had to place a new order. When I called for an update they were extremely rude to me. I requested to speak to the store Manager and she was also rude. After over a month of waiting for my glasses, I decided to cancel everything. I understand that mistakes happen because were humans. What I dont understand is the lack of customer service skills from the staff.

The entire exam went extremely quick as well as the checkout process. Multiple staff commented and assisted with my selection of glasses. So happy with my experience. Dr. Bray was absolutley great with my 12 yr old. We like the female Dr. as well, but my daughter felt really comfortable with him. Also, Neil was fantastic. He always helps us when we come in with questions or readjustments. Neil has such a great personality and you can tell he is a huge people person and loves his job. Vanessa who checked us in, is always is so lovely to talk to. Thank you guys for making this our forever glasses/contacts place to go!!

As much as I really liked all the staff and the place itself I cant really recommend. My prescription wasnt correct, and when taking the exam I mentioned that the glass was a bit smudged and I couldnt really see but it was kind of ignored; that definitely affected the way my exam went. I had to go get my prescription corrected elsewhere.

The doctor was the first doctor in 18 years that was able to explain why I have such a difficult time with contacts. ...and better yet, hes willing to work with me to finally be able ti wear contacts!!The customer service on the sales side was also great. My sales guy was willing to try a few different scenarios to get me the best deal.Highly recommend this location.

I have had 2 visits to this business. I will never be using them again. Took my daughter here to get her a new years supply of contacts. We already had the exam. They were able to order the contacts for us. II was promised i would get alerted when they arrived. I was never alerted. I ordered the contacts 2/2. I called to check on them 2/10. Was told they would more than likely arrive 2/11 and i would be notified. I never heard anything. I called today 2/16 to be told they had arrived. I asked why i was not alerted and was told Thats in the past nothing that can be done now. This was my first experience here. Actually had an appointment with them for myself today that was cancelled. I will never ever again uses this business.

They went above and beyond to provide a great customer experience. There was a rare issue this shop encountered with the machine that is used to polarize lenses, but rather than let me leave with no shades at all after paying for polarized lenses, Jason, the onsite ophthalmic laboratory technician provided a pair with tinted lenses that allowed me to drive comfortably while they fixed the issue. Now Im returning to pick up my polarized pair of lenses after only two days, and I couldnt be more impressed with their speed, courtesy and overall commitment to providing a great customer experience. Every staff member was pleasant to speak with and professional, and Ill be returning to this store in the future.

Spent 3 hours at the location, by the time I left my dilated eyes were near clear vision. The Gal that assisted me was pleasant and provided exceptional customer service. However possibly new and took more time than expected at insurance portion. I should have brought my coverage document some suggested options were covered but not offered or known of coverage. Dr. checked me out and when I went back in hours after dilation was not provided information on my sight. I googled my prescription to find out I was far sided.

My Dr was awesome. The staff is quick at helping for scheduled appointments and friendly. It is clean and a lot of choices for glasses. Neil was the best at helping me choose the glasses that fit me and my style! He is friendly and really helpful! Thank you!!!!

I am speechless. Made a huge mistake in switching to vision works from America’s Best company. It is absolutely the worst experience by far.

All of the front desk people and Dr Paulin were very kind and helpful. They were a little understaffed (which they apologized for) so the wait was a few more minutes than optimal. I dont have glasses or contacts so I cant speak to that area of their business. Overall I was pleased with the experience and plan to go back for my next eye exam.

Dr. Bray was awesome. He fixed a problem I had with my previous eye doctor....very thorough and took the time to explain everything so I knew what was going on. I would HIGHLY recommend him. As far as the customer service staff, they were top notch and really helpful as well....great location.

The absolute worst customer experience Ive had at any establishment, period. I made an eye exam appointment yesterday for 4:00 pm with the expectation that I wouldn’t be in there long given the online appointment options were in 15-minute intervals. Not only was my expectation not met, I ended up waiting for an hour while watching multiple customers who arrived after me get ushered into the examination area before me until I got up and walked out. A complete waste of time. I not only lost an hour of my day, I still need to get an eye exam somewhere else.What was so infuriating about my experience was the way the staff handled a mistake they made that couldve easily been corrected. Instead of just admitting to me that there was a mix up in the order in which I was checked in, providing a simple apology and getting me back into the exam room as soon as possible, I was told that the doctor was running 10 -15 minutes behind. Mind you, this was not told to me when I checked in 5 minutes prior to my appointment time only after I had been sitting for over 45 minutes watching other customers arriving after me come and go.I should’ve walked out long before I did given the fact that multiple staffers saw me come in and knew I had been waiting for a while, however no one came over to me to assure that I would be seen soon or even seemed to care. This establishment clearly had no regard for my time (and obviously my business). When I got up and told the staffer behind the customer service desk that I was leaving his response…Im sorry about that, would you like to reschedule? Are you kidding me?!?I am a huge advocate for businesses who not only take pride in offering quality products and services, but an exceptional customer experience and do so with excellence and accountability. This is clearly not one of those businesses.

One of the most horrible customer services I have ever dealt with. I call never get a answer. I have to call least 4 or 5 times. Then they out me on hold and I never get an answer back. I have been waiting for my second pair of glasses for more than a month. I got 1 of the 2 pairs. Cant walk in because I get rude service saying I need a appointment. Im just trying to get ny daily glasses.

The Doctor visit was good, but I had mentioned that I would not be purchasing my glasses through Visionworks and will be buying them at Costco. They placed a hold on my insurance account which I spent over 30 minutes trying to release the hold! Not good business practice!!!! The same thing happened last year!

They were running a little behind but Dr. Paulin was extremely thorough and took her time with me. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed.

It was a bit of a cluster at my recent visit. The person who assisted me didnt seem to know much and if it wasnt for Scott, we would still be there trying to get the dollar amount correct which took 3 or 4 times. This could have been avoided from the beginning and saved me about 30-35 minutes. The information that was lacking was evident and as nice as the girl was, she was not ready to be on the floor by herself.

This is a really nice place to come and get your eyeglasses and exam. The staff is friendly and very professional. I didnt feel rushed to hurry and pick my frames.

On the last day of our trip, I lost my glasses. A salesman named Neil helped me get the cheapest replacements possible. I really appreciated that he didnt try to sell me on features I didnt want but went straight for what I wanted. He knew the inventory well and immediately found better frames than I had seen while waiting. Since they were backed up, it took 3 hours, but at least I was on my way the same afternoon.

Im going to give Vision works 5 stars. Dr. Helen Pauline has such a great bedside manner. I have been coming here for 4 years and this optometrist has such a very calm manner. Shes very soft and gentle and makes you feel comfortable. Last year I was disappointed when she wasnt here and I had a male doctor who was okay but he wasnt as nice as she is. I enjoy coming to this location because it is clean, brand new, well lit and there are very nice people that run it. I dont know about the actual glass and frame end of it because I only go for my eye exam here. I live in Ahwatukee and its a very easy location to get to. Im lucky I found this place. They took my insurance and I had to pay a $20 copay for an eye exam. I let her dialate my eyes which Im not sure I really needed but anyway just to make sure everything is okay I went ahead and dilated them but I had to sit there for 30 minutes until they worked. And then She examined my eyes again to tell me that I have a start of a little cataract but not to worry. This I exam was first rate. I encourage you to make an appointment. What I liked about it is they sent me an email to remind me about my appointment and I was able to select a date online it was awesome I selected the day and then I was given a list of many different times and I could just pick one. It saves a lot of time going back and forth with a person to talk about the appointment its easier to do it online. Every Medical Clinic in dentist office in offer this great feature.

Amazing experience!!! Lots of frames to choose from and friendly service form the Drs to sales associate. They took my insurance and were able to get me in same day. Jalina was AMAZING!!! I truly felt like family and found my go to spot for all my families Optical needs.

This was my first time at this location Ray Rd and 50th St. i had a very good experience with the staff and the Dr. I will defenetelyvgo back . Very professional and customer oriented specially Jennifer. She has by far a great attitude and excellent customer service.

The most awful experience I have had at an eye doctor before. The doctor was extremely rude. He even mentioned he was Good, but Ill be even better in 15 minutes when this appointment is over. He rushed the appointment. When I had concerns about the contact being the right fit, he said Its all in your head. I am appalled. Then, when I ordered my contacts through 1-800 a few weeks later, the doctor told them my prescription had expired. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Everyone theyre greeted you with a smile from the receptionist to people are giving you paperwork to the people asking you how are you doing looking for your glasses all the way to the eye doctor everyone was very nice and professional and show the really care about your eyes.

Horrible service, each ones staff tells you a different quote and they know nothing about specials and offers going on. Good luck on them explaining your insurance breakdown, and they basically asked for my payment without explaining anything, such BS and wasted of my time and you just lost a customer

Awesome staff who were very welcoming and very friendly. We actually stopped at another optometrist before VisionWorks. That staff seemed not as friendly and thats when we went to VisionWorks. Tye staff was really friendly with my kids (who are very shy) but they liked him and he helped pick out frames and they even all joked around. Definitely recommend!!

I had a good experience with the sales people. Then, both ONeal frames I bought broke one at a time. The first at 3 months as they replaced. The second at 11 months as they told me they werent in the 90 day warranty. I checked ONeals website and they state a 12 month warranty on everything. Shady business practices as lower quality products. Wont be back.

I came into this location today to get updated lenses for my eye glass frames. The customer service rep assisted me and was going through the sale they had on lenses. She then asked if I was going to use my insurance and I said yes, and she seemed shocked for some odd reason. She pulls up my information since Ive gone to this location multiple times for frames and lenses. She then proceeds to tell me my insurance will not cover the lenses since I got lenses in October 2017 and according to her, my insurance wont cover lenses for 12 months. I kept debating her telling her it was not based on 12 months, and that I was eligible for lenses at the beginning of every year in January. She didnt even make an attempt to call the insurance company or anything, so after talking to the rep I decided to thank her for her time and left. I went home and looking up my vision insurance and confirmed that I was eligible for lenses. Frustrated, I went to another Vision Works at Chandler Mall where they looked up my insurance and confirmed I was eligible for lenses and ordered me lenses that I will pick up tomorrow. Im never going to the Vision Works on Ray ever again. Very disappointed with the underwhelming service I received.

I called all over Phoenix looking for a OD to give me an emergency exam. No where I tried had any openings this last minute. Dr. Dalal saw me on short notice even though its Saturday and they had no more appointments. He put my concerns to ease and I got my corneal abrasion examined for $60, and the follow up visit next week is included. I am so glad I came here.
