We have just finished the remodel from hell. One bright shining part of the ordeal was the expert fabrication and installation of our granite counter top by French Quarry! Everyone we delt with from Lyn the coordinator to Nick the manger,Armando and the rest of the hard working installation crew was professional, courteous and on time. We were steered to FQ by an installer for a large company that recommended them over his own employer,Thank you for the seamless process and service!
We had started a kitchen remodel in February of 2020 and then had huge issues with contractors not responding and suppliers due to covid. We luckily were referred to The French Quarry and they went above and beyond to help us! We had an extra large island that we wanted a piece of 3cm quartzite for it, and also matching for the rest of our kitchen. Lyn was able to reserve it for us from a distributor when we werent able to, and she made sure no one else grabbed it! :) The install was smooth and everyone was extremely kind and cautious given it was still a little bit of a unknown with the virus during the summer. We had enough left over to re-do two of our bathroom counters as well and again the customer service was outstanding. We will definitely contact Lyn again when we re-do our master bath! Thank you again for all your help!
We purchased quartz countertops with the waterfall option from Home Depot, installed by the French Quarry (in PHX, AZ). The waterfall was installed with the side closest to the cabinet unpolished and covered with scratches. The French Quarry said they never polish that side and there was nothing they could do. One of the tops was installed with a high spot at the seam so bad that a plate will not sit flat and rocks up and down like a seesaw. The French Quarry said that was “within tolerances” and refused to correct it. No one from Home Depot would come to look at these problems. We filed a complaint with the AZ Registrar of Contractors. Home Depot finally sent a rep to the field inspection. He was focused on proving that we had to accept the installation and never even offered a regret that we as customers of Home Depot were not happy. At the field inspection “The Registrar determined that there is not sufficient evidence to find that the respondent (Home Depot) failed to meet minimum workmanship standards”. And will not correct these problems. If you choose to hire Home Depot and, or The French Quarry you may get work that meets “minimum workmanship standards” and there is nothing you can do about it. If you expect more than “minimum workmanship standards” we strongly recommend you do not hire Home Depot or The French Quarry.
We just had our install yesterday and our granite is even more beautiful installed. Our experience from the first day we walked into the French Quarry has been positive. Our sales rep Lyn was so accommodating and patient with us. She was always prompt in responding to us throughout the process. The template appointment was great too.The install crew was fabulous. Juan was an amazing lead and a perfectionist! Braulio and Jorge were both awesome too. They were careful and very courteous. They continually cleaned throughout the install too. They arrived at our house at 9:30am and left at 5:30pm without even taking a break.Being a small business owner we appreciate dedicated employees because it is a hard find and should be recognized. We have already recommended the French Quarry to others. Thank you for making our experience a good one!
Very happy with the materials and the entire process through the installation. It was a 5. The guys that installed the countertops were excellent at what they do. Thats where it ends and the 5 star review goes to 1. A day after the installation, we chipped an edge. That was February. Ive contacted them numerous times and they never get back to me. Its a simple repair. Customer service isnt horrible. It would have to exist to be rated. There is none. Its unfortunate I have to give them 1 star. We have two more rooms to remodel. They definitely will not be in the running for those jobs!
We love French Quarry! Lyn Day and her team are a real pleasure to work with because they are extremely customer service-oriented and perform excellent work. We hired them to help us upgrade our outdoor kitchen. They did a fantastic job coaching us on the granite & tile selection process and then fabricating and installing our beautiful new granite counters. Thank you very much Lyn and your entire team at French Quarry!
I would not recommend this company for anything! Unfortunately Ipurchased through Home Depot and basically had no choice.their customer service if you want to call it that was pathetic right from the start.I expressed concerns about cutting the sink in place and what they would do to protect my adjoining LRi just spent $7k on and basically was told it was my problem and they consider it a construction zone! Ya ! That’s amazing.then it just got worse from there no call backs no manager ever called as they said Home Depot was worthless in helping get answers and when they finally installed the counters they were not secured, corners were wrong and different cuts and island radius was not even close to what I ordere! Few days later sent a “supervisor” to inspect all the issues poor guy looked completely burnt out..after 3 weeks I finally got a message from the manager who was according to Home Depot supposed to get back to me 3 weeks earlier And wanted me to have them come back and make a mess all over again cutting and grinding in my house and take my island and cut it down and bring it back! UNACCEPTABLE. Guess the old saying is true always enough time to do it over and never enough time to do it right the first time. forget it I’m done dealing with incompetence.all I can say is good luck if you order from Home Depot they will claim they are all about Customer Service until it matters then they will ignore you.
Installation was good, after couple months I noticed the caulking between counter top and back-splash is failed. I have been chasing repair manager for last 3months calling every couple weeks and they keep telling me he will call me or he is busy. he promised me I will get a call by March 15th and today is April 1st. I wish they told me to go fix it by myself. I guess i have to wait for next 6 months.
Customer service is none existent ! We have called and texted and emailed and No one will get back to us!!!! Put In countertops look amazing except where they chipped a big piece out and glued it back in with glue that looks brown on white countertops!!! Said they would come out and repair but No one will ever get back to us!! So we have a brown spot on a white counter.
Honestly if I could leave 0 stars I would. This entire process from start to finish has been nothing short of a headache. Between lack of communication, forgetting things, and the disastrous mess left behind at time of install, I cant imagine ever doing business here again nor recommending them to anyone else. I fact Ive gone as far as warning others looking for granite companies to stear clear of this one. Im not one to make a big deal out of nothing but so far Ive had to run 2 completely full dishwasher loads of, what used to be clean dishes, because their installers didnt have the decency to move stuff or ask us to move stuff prior to cutting my drywall. Ive also had to throw out numerous boxes of food because the drywall and other gunk made its way into my food. And the cherry on top of everything is 4 days after install and them bragging about this super awesome impregnating sealer my granite has a huge stain on it from me setting a room temperature pan down on it that I had just sprayed with vegetable oil. According to Nick, this isnt their problem and now they are pointing their finger at everyone else. I received no apologies, no nothing, I simply was told they cant do anything about it. Im sorry, as a company who INSTALLS the granite Im pretty sure you CAN do something about it and I plan to make sure something is done about it. Until this is rectified my review and opinion of this place will remain intact. If they come around to HELPING their customer then Ill be more than happy to change my review.
We had a very large island, bar top, kitchen and bathroom installed yesterday and the team did an amazing job. They were professional and courteous. They were at the house till after 7pm making sure everything was done. The owner Dave when we needed a measurement completed quickly he personally took care of it. As a fellow business owner this speaks volumes. You got a great team Dave. Thank you again.
The French Quarry assisted with a residential project. Although not a large job the staff treated my project as if it was the most important one on their schedule. Their timelines for the project were shared up front and they set realistic expectations for the work to be concluded. They communicated throughout the process and even finished a little quicker than they had originally thought! Andrea’s willingness to meet on Saturday to view product was a big plus. I recommend them to anyone regardless of project size.
We dealt with Dave at the French Quarry during our kitchen remodel. He was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to our new countertops. Because we installed our custom cabinets on our own, he made sure to inform us of how important making sure our cabinets were level upon install so that the counters would be level. He was flexible in working with our schedule to come measure for our counters and gave my husband and I tips to fix a couple minor things with our cabinets to ensure our counters went in smoothly!Kevin and Phil came out to instill our cabinets and they did a fabulous job. We are so pleased with how our counters turned out!Beautiful product and great customer service! We will use them again if we ever need more counters!
Had a small bathroom to update and other places were not interested or wouldnt quote price. At French Quarry, the moment we walked in staff treated us great, were professional and took the time to help me find the right product for the job. From start to finish, the job went smoothly, great communication and would recommend! Very happy with quality and customer service.
Never told me a the time of measurement that their would be seams on my quartz counter top. Counters are not that large. Got a second opinion after French Quarry installed the counter tops, and the contractor said they probably cut costs on my counters by using remnant pieces from a previous job. I should have refused delivery and install when they arrived to install the counter tops. Lesson learned.
We can highly recommend The French Quarry for countertop installation. We are finishing an extensive renovation of an historic home and have hired numerous subs in every discipline. Dave and crew were among the best for pricing, communication, maintaining a schedule, attention to detail and general willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. We are thrilled with our soapstone counters and will definitely hire them again and refer them whenever the occasion arises.
I had counter tops installed. Juan and David installed them and they did a perfect job. I was so impressed with their workmanship and they cleaned up after themselves. Very polite and knowledgeable about the job. Very, very impressed.
We remodeled our kitchen, and The French Quarry installed the counter tops for the project. They did a fantastic job. They made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The Quartz turned out to be a perfect match with our flooring and new cabinets.
We had our counters installed by them. They look great!
We had a tight timeline for installing the counter tops in our kitchen remodel. The French Quarry was very understanding and got the counter tops installed (look great btw) much faster than usual. I really appreciated the friendliness of the team.
As a professional designer and contractor I was very impressed and pleased with the efficiency, quality of craftsmanship and courteous service exhibited by the crew of Jason, Jake and Jose in the measuring and installation of my recent custom counter tops. I will definitely be using French Quarry again for my future projects.
Five star all around. The team at the French Quarry are very client friendly. They offer a wonderful selection of slabs to choose from on site, their pricing is very competitive and they fabricate and install a first class product.
They did my kitchen counters and I could not have been happier. Communication was strong and was easy to work with. THANK YOU!!
Best place to buy a countertop for your home.
Great service great prices and overall a great experience when shopping for a new countertop. The sales associates were very helpful, professional and knowledgeable about the different products. She helped us with our project and with different countertops and which colors and patterns would go best with our project.Im very happy with the countertop that we chose and the price that we paid for it.
Horrible. After paying over 1/2 of the bill up front, they were over a week late starting from when the salesman promised. Then they never billed me for the balance until 4 months later and expected me to remember that they werent paid. Would NEVER recommend this company..........and as you can see by the owners response below, number 1, they never sent an invoice on day of install, and number 2, it took them a month to even respond to my review.
09/01/2016 - Pascal (not sure of the spelling) and Philip installed two granite counter tops with backsplashes in our master bathroom this afternoon. Two professionals without a doubt!!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!! Kudos to the shop techs as well. The grain of the counter flows into the backsplash...great cutting and polishing job. I highly recommend this company.
Cant go wrong here! Very professional and friendly staff!!
Love it, very friendly and helped us out.
They are the worst. French Quarry installed my first countertop with a crack by the sink. They talked me into replacing it and again another crack by sink plus chips, corners repaired with epoxy and poor cuts (one side didnt meet the wall and another was too wide so it went into wall). The supervisor said it was no big deal theyd replace it again. I wont let them in my house. I have a small kitchen and its not worth their time to do a quality job the first or second time how can I trust them a third time.
Think twice before you buy a countertop from #homedepot Scottsdale, AZ. #homedepot never called after the install to followup on the install. #homedepot subs the work out to installers (#FrenchQuarry) who clearly don’t have the workmanship to install #Silestone. Be for warned, Go somewhere else.Pictures of the poor craftsmanship, install and cleanup included
Im going to give these guys a 2, instead of the 1 they deserve, because the product is beautiful. BUT the customer service at this place is terrible.First of all - three weeks went by after I paid for my countertops before I even got a phone call to schedule my template. I called back a half an our later, Cody wasnt there. I called the next day - Thursday. Codys not there. I called Friday, and guess what? Cody wasnt there. Same thing Monday, same thing the first time I called Tuesday, until finally, Tuesday afternoon - almost a week later - Cody finally answered the phone, and told me they were scheduling templating two weeks out. Two MORE weeks, would mean that 5 weeks after I paid for the countertops, we still wouldnt even be in production. The manager talked to me and agreed to come out the following week. So only 4 weeks I guess? But then, it took two more months before my countertops got installed because they wanted to wait until after my windows were put in (the countertop goes flush up to the window). Fine. Ill wait I guess. The final template was done on Feburary 11th. I still did not get my countertops installed until March 6th.Fast forward to Saturday - 9 days before install - they tell me they need my sink choice ASAP in order to stay on schedule. I get it to them at 10:30am Monday morning. On THURSDAY (4 days before install!), I get a call saying that the sink is backordered, and I either have to pick a different sink, or face another delay.Via text, this is the exact conversation:Dieter: The shipment of 7030 sinks is delayed and will not deliver until the middle of next week any chance you would like 6040 to stay on schedule for MondayMe: This is ridiculous. I paid for these countertops on December 2nd (this message excahnve was on March 2nd) and you are telling me now, three months later, I either have to wait even longer or get a sink I dont want?Dieter: Ive been dealing with this sink company for fie years and this is the first time they have not had stock. I apologize for not securing sooner but I have never had any issuesMe: Are you serious right now? I dont even know what to say. Im so frustrated.Deiter: You can say thank you I am paying out of pocket to get you the same size sink but in a thicker gauge to keep you on schedule.Me: Do you really want me to thank you right now? Thats a joke, right?Deiter: Im just trying to add a little levity.Me: Did I seem like I was in the mood for your levity? In my opinion, that is not the way you speak to customers. How dare he say I should say thank you!!! How about Since it was my fault for not securing the sink sooner, I will upgrade you for free to keep you on schedule. I hope that eases your frustration. Nope. I should thank him - like Im his buddy and we are all sitting around a poker table and he folded so I could win three bucks, and not like he is telling me that countertops that I paid for three months before might get delayed.... again. I think this dude needs a serious lesson in customer service.
Very nice and organized Top quality..
Great!!
Great product selection and people.
