Picked up my first nice kitchen knife here yesterday. Im a home cook that is just getting into cooking, and I’ve been into collecting knives since i was 12, hence why I spent so much on a really nice knife even though I am not a professional. They have a really large selection and the staff is knowledgeable to answer any of your questions. Ill be back for more until I complete my set. I am hoping they eventually bring their sharpening classes back too.

I had an amazing experience! Walking into the shop, I was a little intimidated because it clearly caters to professionals. Im just a home cook that loves to cook and was searching for a good knife to use. I was immediately put at ease and really enjoyed learning more about the different knife styles and materials. I was met with patience and knowledge. The employee who helped me find my dream knife began to cater to my tastes as she brought more options to the counter. It was a fun experience and I ended up walking out with the perfect knife for me. Having this knife for a few days now, I can say that its really inpired me to try out new dishes and further my interest in cooking. Thank you so much Phoenix Knife House! You guys are awesome!

Pickup and checkout was a breeze. My knife was sharpened to as sharp as it gets. The selection of knives to choose from for the many different tasks in the kitchen is plentiful.

Hands down the best place to buy quality knives and to get them sharpened. I bought 6 different knives many years ago and they are as good today as they were when I bought them. I just brought a friend of mine there last week to buy a complete set, they were so patient as she purchased over $3000.00 they could not do enough for us. I highly recommend this place for any professional chief or perfect for that home set.

I was looking for a place to buy a sharpening steel for a friend, as a Christmas present. The store was crowded as it was a few days before Christmas but the young man that helped buy the correct steel was very helpful, knowledgeable, and made me feel as though I was the only person in the store. The customer service was outstanding and so rare these days.I went back today because my son gifted me with a very expensive Japanese Shun knife and matching honing steel. Though it was not bought at the Knife House, again, the customer service was OUTSTANDING. I had lots of questions and each one was answered with kindness and patience by the young woman behind the counter.I will be back with all the things I need sharpened and certainly would recommend this store to anyone looking for a knife or an item needing sharpening.

They are knowledgeable and very professional. They brought the edges back on my blades. They returned them to me better than when they were brand new. They help you immediately as you walk through the door. They have one of the best knife selections Ive seen. The store has a simple and clean atmosphere. The selection is not overwhelming. You know youre in a legitimate place as soon as you enter. There is a sense of reverence for the blades. Very low sales pressure. I refer blade enthusiasts and chefs to this store. I wont go anywhere else.

Phenomenal customer service and inventory. They have always shared their time and knowledge. This is one of my favorite stores in the Valley and a candy store for a home cook like myself. If you have any interest in Japanese steel and cooking, then this is the place. They also have a sharpening class with master sharpener Corey that fills up fast.

This is a fantastic store. Dropped off my knives on Saturday, they were ready on Monday, quick turn around. Corey was the one who sharpened the blades and he did an absolute fantastic job. The knives are sharper that I can ever remember. Very reasonably priced and the costumer service there was fantastic. I would recommend this to any and everyone. Thank you.

I rarely write google reviews, but this one was well deserved. They are very knowledgeable, professional, and will explain everything to you. They take their time, also have a great reasonably priced selection of knives there as well. I got a few knives sharpened by them and it was like having new knives. I will definitely be going back when I need new knives or I need to get them sharpened again.

I want to say right out the gates I genuinely like this place. It is more geared for kitchen knives, which the selection and quality seem to be top notch. I’m more of a hunting / backpacking knife guy and was looking for a cheap knife for my brother. I have spent serious coin on knives in the past and consider myself a “knife addict”. I knew what I came for and browsed the kitchen selection which impressed me. When I told them what I wanted I got the impression they were judging me. The total cost was around $15 but I still sensed a judgment there. All in all I was impressed with the store and the customer service was fine except that one instance.

Love phoenix knife house! Ive purchased a handful of knifes there, and even taken there sharpening course (which Im not sure if its still offered). Everyone who Ive met that works there is super nice and helpful, whether you have no idea what youre doing or youve been a chef for 40 years, definitely check them out.

All the chefs recommend going here. Everyone I know loves this place. They have pretty low rates and high turnover. They are also a great place to go for information on knives and help you find which one is right for you. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Totaly worth checking out for any knife needs!

A few months back, I bought my first nice knife and have used it tones since then. I however am even more impressed with the knife now that I had it sharpened by these guys!!! Not only was it sharp, it is still sharp after several long busy shifts at the restaurant I work at. I will go back, and hopefully soon, for a new new knife again. You can never have too many knives in your roll.

I have taken my straight razor in here a few times and the Phoenix Knife House brings is back to brand new every time. The customer service here is outstanding, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Plus the service is pretty quick.This is the only place I will go to get anything sharpened. Next up are the kitchen knives.

Was just here, small and friendly store indeed. Lots to look at. It was nice looking at all the Japanese cutlery. I came in to have my Chefs knife resharpened. Took about a minute, and its sharper than ever. Cant beat the price as well.

Maybe other reviews had my freindly n helpful expectations too high. This store is for efficient knowledgeable professional industry shoppers in my opinion. If you are a home cook, they will get your knives sharp.Last Monday I took in my lame much used dull stainless kitchen knives 2- 10 and three paring knives for sharpening. I had fantasized about upgrading my chefs knife before entering. Didnt feel real welcome after.They were swamped Monday with customers and had three staff behind the counter. I was greeted and quickly handed off to a young staffer who said, That will be $25 come back tomarrow after 1pm to pick them up. My 15 year old amateur cook son and I noted the beautiful displays of knives, blocks, comfy work shoes n uniform offerings ... then left. I figured when I came back Id spend more time.I came back Wednesday afternoon with my husband to pick up my now sharp knives. One person was behind the counter. There was one other customer browsing uniforms. My husband and I were greeted immediately. I said I was there to pick up my knives. He asked my name, put them on the counter and asked for payment. Done.I was never asked if there was anything else I wanted during either visit. I did show interest in the displays and expected to meet outgoing enthusiastic people. Perhaps my newly grown out post chemo baldness dyke buzz cut put off. I have no clue.

Great place for all your quality kitchen needs.

I took a few kitchen knives and a few folding pocket knives in and they were all super sharp when I picked them up a couple days later! One of them even had a chipped tip and they fixed it perfectly! When I picked them up, they were nice enough to show me how to maintain the edge with my home steel sharpener. I will be going back to them for all of my knife sharpenings from now on!

Ive had good use of the sharpening service and had excellent experiences shopping remotely. The owner took a lot of time with me helping me select a couple knives over the phone.Most critically, you can find knives of excellent quality that are more diverse and better than youll find in national chains. All price ranges are represented, but only knives that the ownership and staff believe in are stocked. Youll be paying for craftsmanship, quality, and the characteristics that make a knife right for you, not for a bloated brand name. (Not that some of the brands here arent well known--the Ms like Masahiro and Misono are well represented, for example. But youre still paying for quality instead of for a marketing budget or a sometimes hollow mark of prestige.)
