A lot of options to select from compare to other nearby Indian grocery stores but prices are definitely higher as well. A lot of items are not priced on shelves. Couple of items when we bought had 2 different price tags on the shelves. When confronted to cashier about the higher priced charged, she just denied and said no that’s an old price tag and the new price is higher. Why would you not just solve your mistake (take off old price tags off while placing the new prices) and honor the price for which it was actually shown on the shelves. Also produce with weight was scanned carelessly not knowing that other items are on the scale. Happened twice and so have to tell her to redo it again. I feel like you should be aware of what you are buying while they are scanning you. Not impressed with the customer care experience. Need more educated staff to handle situations like this and proper audit for prices to get this business running smooth. FYI it was just a regular afternoon and not busy at all.
Love this place!! They are sooooo nice!! They have great produce and the boxes of fresh mangoes were amazing and so is their curry seasonings oh and they even have goat
The selection is great but all items are highly overpriced. Lotus Market and Asiana Market in the vicinity are better options as the prices are reasonable over there. This is perhaps the only business in US which do not have a customer service. Call them on their number at any time of the day and it will go to Voice Mail. At times, no liquid soap in restrooms (reminds me of India). Very unprofessional people.
Place is not clean. Customer support not there.Vegetables are not fresh. Very rare to get fresh. Often can see expired stock.
Only place where you can get Tahir chicken and pretty much all Indian groceries are available
Wonderful grocery outlet! I came here by chance to check the prices on some spices I needed, and Im so glad I did. Not only is everything very affordable, but I also found a lot of items I thought I could only buy online for a MUCH better price. Staff were very helpful and friendly as well! :)
I go regularly this store for Indian groceries. Better then any other Indian stories near by .
Have fresh produce and things you dont find anywhere else
Good selection. But Management needs to up their game. Customer service needs to improve. Staff are friendly, but unavailable. Also Telephone Calls ALMOST ALWAYS GOES UNANSWERED. FEELS AS THOUGH WE ARE IN THE 1980S. NO WAY TO CONTACT THE STORE OTHER THAN A PERSONAL VISIT. POOR WAY YO RUN A BUSINESS.
Turmeric cash and carry is your one stop solution for groceries shopping. They have huge variety, lots of brands, large space and very clean. They will add extra items acoording to the festival like colors for Holi, sweets during Diwali. They also have a meat shop, samosa counter and a dress/jewellery section inside this facility. Nice parking lot. You can never miss this shop if you driving on Bell road and 12th Street. They have a good lighting outside. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Fresh vegetables are always available. Best Indian Grocery shop in North Phoenix.
Better indian store in this neighborhood, more stock and options than stores nearby.
Good selection. Helpful associates. Produce is fresh.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
Best lndian grocery store with fresh vegetables
All your indian food needs under one roof.
Great store with a wide selection of South Asian ingredients. Helpful staff too. Very cheap prices.
Out of all the stores present in Phoenix, this stores has worst customer support. I was mistakenly charged twice for a particular product and when contacted, they were blaming us for not checking the bill. After arguing for more than 30 minutes, then they told that will issue a refund, and yet not agreeing the mistake.
I prefer this grocery because of the variety and the prices of the goods. It is only cleanliness & labelling of the shelves aspect which needs to be improved. But otherwise one can get all the Indian items such as grains, spices, vegetables, etc.
Indian grocery store. You would almost find everything that you get in d-mart.. 😀😉
Amazing, authentic Indian food at great prices
Visited this new Dedicated Indian Grocery Store. Here are my insightsPros:> Large selection of groceries, fresh vegetables.> Spacious store compared to all Indian places in Phoenix.> Snack/Chat Place .>Clothes and jewelry section.Cons:> Prices are decent but not competitive compared to its competitorAsiana in Union Hills.> Billing section and chat section customer service needs improvement. Ifelt like they are little naive.> Needs some sort music in this place just to ignore people yelling at their kids 😊
Only indian grocery in Phoenix area with best quality and quantity
Nice store for Phoenix market.Local deals
Their selection of puja items has improved. Their always someone stacking up the shelves. Service is fast. Its usually crowded during weekends.
In Indian culture there are more than 1million godsThose born in india are subject to the 7 caste social structure which splits me and returning souls into rigid hierarchical groups based on their karma and previous livesSupport local, independent small businesses like this one every single chance you get, I cant believe as a society we have all given up our power to the 1% by mindlessly shopping in monopolistic stores that take away the chances for small businesses to exist. Really think about this, us the majority allow only a tiny few to have so much excess, such large amounts of the economic pie that we all struggle and have our hands out begging for the scraps they throw out. Revolution is the only way for change and our weapons are our wallets
When ever i come to buy the meat there will be always a board stating the different timings of break, this is the 5th time i am waiting for the attendant to come back to work and its horrible and i dont know the reason why they kept business hours timing board here then, i guess this is the last time i am stopping to buy meat as well as groceries 👎👎👎👎
Seems to be a great place, Ive been there a few times I just buy one special product that they have I like the Amla juice. They seem to always have it installed which I enjoy!
The Store is huge and they do have lot of Items BUT the Customer Service is Very Poor. I had bought couple of Whole Wheat Chapati (Shakti) Packets a week ago and stored them properly & as you can see from the shown pictures, its GOOD until April 16th 2020. Today, Before, I tried to even open the Seal of the Packets, the MOLD was clearly formed all over the Chapatis and I have immediately thrown this packets. To address the issue, I did take photos and drove to the store (House is 10 mins away from the location) to show to the Manager, but the Manager was having lunch I suppose and I did ask questions and shown photos to the Lady at the Counter. She spoke to the Manager and they told me to get the Chapati Packets and Receipt (This is ONLY store that sells Shakti Chapati in Phoenix, yet they want a receipt) to issue a Refund. Why would even someone store a SPOILT/MOLD packet in house? I do not have my receipt with me but they could not even pull the Receipt from the system using my information (Why do store people ask for Personal information by storing our personal data as this does not make any sense). This is a pure rip-off and they definitely would not care for the customers. Even though the Products show a VALID Date, But they are all spoilt inside. I was not expecting this kind of response to the customers.
I am a blonde british girl who adores indian fare and have never ever felt out of place Around as nothing related to it n I as. Most of if my friends are India in fact. This was the first time felt every woman at every cashier turn turn sharply in unison to give me an un welcoming stare down. Not fazed I grabbed a cart and started buying fallings if mango lasssi and kulfis. I was interested in so much and as I was filling my cart up quickly I was shocked to be notice I couldnt find a single employee to help me navigate these exciting yet new flavors. But what REALLY threw, me was not one single price tag on one single item. How on earth can anyone have a clue where they stand financially. Of course it was me who ended up having to put back in any items simply because I didnt know the entire stores inventory price point. Great food. Uninviting atmosphere, rude staff, no prices tags. Up to you
I have recently used home delivery. After placing the order, got a call in about 12 hours and the person was patient enough to add and modify list based on availability, we were on the phone for around 15 minutes. All items were home delivered after few hours. All grocery items were good. Other than banana blossom all vegetables were good. Overall they did a good job, would recommend Turmeric Cash and Curry home delivery.
If youre looking for genuine and authentic Indian ingredients and items, this is the place. Well stocked with a great variety of products.
This grocery store has the variety! Fresh, frozen, packaged items, and lots of rice. Not so good at marking prices on the items though.
Initially it was very difficult for me to get some Indian groceries in Tempe because of high prices and less varieties...And then I came to know about Turmeric...They have a wide range of products with very reasonable prices....Even the vegetables look very fresh as they were just brought from the farm...This store is the biggest Indian store I have ever seen....The staff are really helpful with searching items. Will highly recommend this store. 😃
Sometimes they get too greedy on covers and place heavy items on fresh veggies
A well organized space with a wide variety of fresh vegetables.
I had worst customer experience with working manager Laxmi today. I had bought suzi(Laxmi brand) and when I opened it at home, the smell was very weird . I had discussed the same with Ranjeeth who had picked the phone at that time and ensured be me to return it in the Store If the product is not good but when I reached to store and showed the suzi product they turned back on their words and said she is not going to take it back.I was totally surprised and asked them you guys told me over the phone to return it and thats why I came here . Product cost was just total around $5. I was a regular customer since 2 years and had a very good experience with the other staffs but this one incident has changed my perspective totally. My trust has broken now with Turmeric Store totally and will not visit there for my future shopping surely .
Great selection of every type of Indian food ingredient and prepared food. Prices are missing most of the time and are not accurate when posted, but prices very good when compared to big box stores. Nice selection of veg. Vegan offerings limited but available.
The biggest mall for the shopping and the best place to get much and more amount of collections as well as much and more discounts too... Good
Unprofessional customer service by there store manager & cashier there r a lot of expired items & no price labels
A little tough on those who cannot wear a mask or shield. It is simple...sick people are staying home. Just like they have always done
I visited this place first time but for help she ignore & buzy doing some paperwork Worst service by their cashier & please stop 🛑 going this place don’t know how to give customers service thank god Another indian groceries open in town will visit that store
Interesting store, didnt have what I was looking for, but had some stuff I had never heard of !
My husband and I go here all the time. We are always able to find everything we need. The staff is friendly, the store is clean and well maintained. If you are in the north Valley I definitely recommend this place for all the specialty Indian items.
One of best places to buy Indian groceries with online ordering and delivery available. Well stocked and can find the essentials, homemade fresh sweets, dosa batter, pickles etc.
Vegetables are not fresh alway. I dont feel it like a customer friendly. Some products will not have price tags.
Good range of selections
It’s very good store, you will get so many veggies and spices. You can find different brands of rice and atta, masala powders. Outside the store you can get nice fast food on Sundays.
I think there was a bunch of panic buying the weekend before I went in because they were out of a few staples. Overall the place is tidy and well set up. I wish their pricing label was placed correctly with the item on the shelf. Their green veggies are hit or miss. Sometimes on the old side to the point of needing to be thrown out. Sometimes good and fresh. Honestly they have too much selection of the same item. You dont need eight different brands of cumin seed and ten different brands of chickpea flour. Carry different items instead. The staff here is pretty friendly and w/o attitude unlike some other asian stores where the cashier treats you like theyre doing you a favor by selling to you. BTW their prices are competitive.
They advertised of taking orders online for curbside delivery. They have ventured into this without any preparation. It was a pathetic and painful experience because my order wasnt ready when called to store. The person in charge didnt have the order and told that I am at the wrong place. When showed he started preparing my order and the whole process took more than 2 hours and that too with lot of things were not included. Absolutely no courtesy and response extended on my various phone calls and text messages. Please dont chew more than you can bite. Any explanation henceforth will not reduce my agony. I patronized this shop for a while even being 30 miles away but this experience truly turned me off.
They recently started delivering directly to home. It was delivered the same day. The delivery guy was wearing mask and gloves and made delivery on time. Their service overall was amazing!!😊
Bigger store than I expected. And surprisingly, one of the tellers was very helpful and knowledgeable!!! Wish it had some of the things I can easily find in other Indian stores (most of the ones Ive frequented in Chicago area - so not sure if it is a regional issue)!
Good Indian groceries. Low on options of brands. For example jaggery or jaggery powder.. only one type. I needed the dark jaggery and was not available. Frozen whole wheat chapathi... Anand south indian snacks..not available. Not many options I could find.. edited based on business owners request. May be my timing was not great. But I drove close to 20 miles to check out the big turmeric... thanks
Based on Indian cuisine their prices are really reasonable despite the dramatic rise in the market, I like their honesty.
The store has increased the price of products purposefully where as the other grocery stores remain at the same price. Recently I bought some unbranded products ... basically the got somethings on their own packets... I see those quality is cheap and it’s too expensive... the packet has no labels like pricing or weight.. so it looks like 4lb but when weighed it looks around 3 lb... royal organic rice Costco price 12.99 .. but here it’s $25 ... I will never step my feet into the store..
The mos Disgusting! This is the second time I went there and this store is without a doubt the most disgusting store I have ever seen in my 47 years life. Customer service is absolutely horrible. They dont speak English and when u ask them a question they rudely turn u away and there is only one cashier who is obnoxious and when u end up paying u have to ask her for receipt and she doesnt even look at you when giving you a receipt. They dont say thank you at all. Plus you have to wait in the line for minimum 20 to 30 minutes because the line is always long with people buying grocery for a month and there is ONLY one cashier. I DO NOT recommend this place at ll. This place should be immediately shut down because there is not social distancing in this store also.
Indian cash and carry. Great place to find all your cooking needs. Bulk rice at low prices. Very small meat department. They have a haircare aisle too. I wished that they carried more indigo. I purchased it here a few times, but I havent found it again in months. Plenty of parking. Accessible entrance.
Great place to find all Indian household and food items! Turmeric is a hygenic and well organized place to shop.
The products over here are really at best quality with affordable prices .
**********BEWARE BROKERS AND CARRIERS DONT WORK WITH THIS CLIENT ********He will give you good business and later on start ignoring your calls when you will ask for money .
Turmeric is our absolute favorite place to go for Indian groceries. We find all typical desi grocery items. The store is professionally run and staff is customer friendly/polite. Thank you for great service.
Its really a great place for shopping Indian groceries.
The veggies are not fresh on somedays. However you get all the indian groceries and one stop for Indian groceries
Bad experience from there cashier she behaves rudely I don’t why they keep that cashier later I heard she is manager of store
The online order experience is good. Thanks to the store for providing such facility.
Great place for Indian groceries. well maintained.
To be honest, this is a laid back and chill place. Good for Indian cuisine and great specials.Gave us complimentary mango lassi on the way out.Ill be back for more.
It looks like a great place to buy fresh Indian produce, good prices and like a regular grocery store except it was Indian food. I bought some wonderful ginger Thai tea, some biscuits and a few other things. I might have bought more if someone pointed out to me the different foods and how I could benefit from them. Its a big store, well stocked, friendly cashier and all male shoppers. I was the only female but I wasnt uncomfortable. I say try it but try to know what you want. I could have brought a lot with a little guidance. Im open to try new foods.
Worst customer service. They never answer phone calls.
Keeps stock of almost all kinds of indian grocery items. Quite a big store and theyve got everything. Although in my limited experience of 2-3 visits, they tend to fall short on basmati rice / sharbati atta supplies from popular indian brands.Update: You guys are right, short supply was temporary. I was able to find all my favourite brands of rice and aata thereafter regularly.
Good store for indian stuff. Had almost everything we needed
Its changing rapidly, to me its in negative way. Until last year I really have a good impression on this store. Now a days you can hardly find deals and not sure when they get fresh groceries, when ever I go I disappoint and get back. To get updates they added my number to store WhatsApp group twice and removed. To be Frank, Now a days Lotus market is little bit better than this store.
It is good. We can find any Indian grocery easily but make sure check the expiry. Most of the item has expired but still they are selling. I had bad experience with them.
Great service during the lockdown time. They packed our order online and put it in the car trunk themselves. Appreciate it!
I have shopped at this store many times in the past year. I love the variety and selection of spices, produce, grains and flours. Prices are very fare. Quality is superb.Staff is always helpful and kind. Highly recommend !!
Everything you would need for authentic Indian cuisine. Organization is typical for a culture specific grocery store so if you arent well versed in what you need it might be a struggle to find. The store employees will gladly help you find your way.
They were well stocked and were very helpful including going out of their way to ask if we had questions about anything we didnt understand or know what it was. I am a professional cook so I know most of what Im looking at but had never had a non mainstream grocer be so accommodating. 4 🌟 because it seemed alittle run down and had an off smell
A huge thank you for all you have done and continue to do during this extraordinary and critical time.Best customer service!
Best Indian Grocery store.
Turmeric has increased prices of essential items like lentils and this coincides with the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m ditching Turmeric in favor of the newly opened Saffron grocery store, where I found cheaper prices.Edit #1: I had been to Turmeric in June 7 and to Saffron on June 12.As per the attached receipts’ screenshots, I bought 4lb Laxmi Toor dal for $7.99 at Turmeric whereas I bought the same 4lb Laxmi Toor dal for $5.99 at SaffronAlso, another thing I want to point out is that I bought 2lb Laxmi moong dal from Turmeric for $3.99, but I bought the same 4lb Laxmi moong dal at $4.99 from Saffron
The store is big and the items are more compared to other Indian stores. The meat is good hear and I usually find long line at the meat counter. Also there is only one person handling the meat requests, he does the cutting and packing. I have seen that the prices are bit expensive than other Indian stores.
Thank you for being so helpful during this crisis. Ordered veggies on Whatsapp for the curb side pickup and was very happy looking at the veggies packed. They were extremely fresh. Thank you Turmeric for the service you are doing in this Crisis.
Good place for Indian Vegetables and Groceries
All the Indian items are available here
Staff was very friendly! They have a great selection.
(BEWARE BROKERS AND CARRIERS )Do not work with them, they dont pay the invoices, they will start rejecting your calls .and later they will block your number .DO NOT WORK WITH THEM EVER IN LIFE .
Good place to shop Indian item. Check out has long queue. You can deploy additional people at work.
Been here a couple more of times. Only once or twice we got good fresh vegetables. It has a wide variety of pulses and spices. Good amount of Indian snacks. The chicken is good as well.
Good on the groceries part but they need maintain fresh produce as well.Tried the delivery option, all the items ordered were delivered perfectly. Friendly staff.
I was really skeptical when this place opened just a mile away from my place... But they stepped up their game and they almost have everything that you will look for in an Indian grocery shop... The staff are very attentive and helpful as well... A really good alternative Indian grocery place for people at this side of the valley, as we all had to travel a minimum of 5 miles for Indian groceries earlier...
We were at the Turmeric Bell Road Store today, it was very chaotic given how the panic buying is going across the world. Very Sad, some of the other stores like Asiana, Patel etc. have taken prices up by 40%, Turmeric is keeping the prices realistic and helping the community.Turmeric crew was distributing, free bottled water and hot tea, and even Hand sanitizers upon request for customers who were waiting in long queues. I hope and pray all the other stores take humanity lessons from Turmeric crew. We salute you Team Turmeric.
Good store but the carts are not being sanitized considering the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
Great job offering curbside pick up ... you guys are really supporting our governor and Our great president Trump.
