Terrible company. I rented online and drove to this facility way out of my way because online it stated this facility had the truck I needed. I show up after driving from the frickn east valley and told they never had the truck available there and I’d have to call customer service to find a location that had a truck. Mind you it was 7 at night. I don’t think this company is worth renting from and no care for the customer time nor service. U-Haul, you need to get you act together and when a customer rents from a facility based on inventory, that should be accurate and secured. This is not the first time this has happened to me with this company.

My uhaul had alot of damages and their was barley any gas in the truck. I tried to extend and got charged for an extra day even though they sent me to the wrong address twice for a truck at 1:30am. Sent pictures to customer service to let them know and got no apology nothing just pay us. I called later and spoke to a rep who was able to extend my truck for a return time of 2:20pm with no charge and still got charged. Just stucks because all of this could have been avoided if the truck was at the location agreed on and the tank was full . I asked for a furniture dolly which wasnt in the truck and the truck smelled like old BO and old food. Just horrible. At 1:30am this not something you want to deal with. Due to this experience i canceled my storage unit and will find another company next time i move!!!!!

Highly recommended never to use U Box’s services through Uhaul. Has been a complete nightmare shopping my box from NH to AZ. Late and now Uhaul owes me money and is trying to charge me for storage when it should be delivered here already. Terrible customer service.

BEWARE! Initial experience was great. Friendly staff. However, the manager was a horrible person. I ended up getting corporate to refund my money. First, he refused to extend my rental (I was a busy teacher and had an emergency conference the day I was supposed to return the truck... I called before it was due). I had to call corporate to get the rental extended because I was stuck at school. What should have taken five minutes took about three hours. I never should have had to leave a meeting for something so simple. I was willing to pay for the extra day, but not at the double-rate he wanted me to. THAT was not U-haul policy anyway. When I finally returned the truck, the manager accused me of damaging the truck. Fortunately, I took thorough pictures. There was absolutely no damage to the truck, he was blatantly lying to cover his a**. This guy was out of his mind. He left Bible versus on my voice mail. (Nothing wrong with the Bible but it was creepy given the context). It took me a while to get around to posting this review. BEWARE THE WRATH OF THE GUY WHO RUNS THIS PLACE.

The general manager in this location was outstanding. Above and beyond 5 star service.he advised me on highway conditions which made it so easy and safe for me to take care of objective. I will always come to his shop for further services

GOT THERE ON A FRIDAY NITE AT 10 MINS BEFORE CLOSING NEEDED A PLUG CONNECTOR FOR A BRAKE CONTROLLER AND ANGELA I BELIEVE IT WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFULL

Staff was friendly and accommodating however the van that I rented was disgusting, non-sanitary, and in poor operating condition.

Go somewhere else. Don’t rent a Uhaul. The online check in process doesn’t work and on the phone they will tell you to ask the person working inside and they will tell you that you have to call uhaul. I was here for over an hour and it was the antithesis of incompetency.

I ordered and scheduled Hitch installation, which I was not able to schedule for more than a week. On my schedule date, they called me stating they do not have my hitch in stock, stating they called all around town and no one had it in stock. They told me that on the website, I should have select to have them order the hitch, like it was my fault. I told them there was not option to have them to order form me. They asked me if I want them to order the hitch for me. I said yes. U-haul did take my money when I originally ordered the hitch. They said they will call me when the hitch arrives; which they did not call me. I had to call then to see if the hitch had arrived. When I called, they said yes it arrived and I asked them when can I come by to have it installed. They told me they had no openings until 8 days later. Lucky I did not need to tow anything for a while. When I got home, I inspect their work. The hitch was installed, but there was no wiring. Now I have to have the wiring installed separately. I looked at my receipt and noticed they didnt charge me to install the wiring and their website doesnt give you an option to include the wiring. I will have to install the wiring somewhere else. I am done doing business with U-haul.

I was treated so horrible at this mcdowell location, by the staff that was in there when I came to rent a truck. To the point of where i cried

The outdoor attendee did not practice social distancing when talking to us through our car window. My wife and child suffer from asthma so this was deeply concerning. The inside rep was highly condescending about a double charge issue. I would highly recommend they be trained on how to communicate with customers whether or not the customer is wrong. I have rented various times from this location and will continue to do so as every other aspect of their service is just fine.Update-they were more conscientious the next time about social distancing so I went from 3 stars to 4 stars.

The GM David, is the absolute worst. I have no idea how him and his employee Diana, or whatever her name is, are still employed. David is a bully that does not allow you to finish speaking before trying to belittle you. And Diana obviously hates her job because she was rude from the get go. Just look at all the reviews that mention these two. David is a liar and a coward.

Employees untrustworthy. Overcharged. Lied too. The company I work for spent 2,500.00 back in February. I originally had a reservation at the downtown location for a pickup, but due to the previous customer bringing it back late, my reservation was moved to this one. Uhaul was on top of it and notified me before I picked up so there was no problem. Great service all around, will definitely go with Uhaul again in the future.

We made a reservation, only to arrive and be told they didn’t have what we reserved or anything at all available for that matter. When we asked why we were able to make a reservation and receive a confirmation and have our card charged, the attendant didn’t have an answer. She simply said the system allows you to reserve even if they aren’t available. What? Also, why didn’t we receive a phone call to let us know the trailer wasn’t actually available? The attendant was also very rude, like it was our fault this was happening. Don’t even try to go here.

Need a different person inside dealing with customers. The young woman that helped me doesnt need to be dealing with any business trying to make money. I almost walked out, but really needed a tow dolly. The guy outside was chill and made me feel better that I was spending my money with this rat hole of a place

DO NOT USE THE U-BOX SERVICE! IT IS A SCAM.Note that neither U-Haul, nor Moving Help assume ANY responsibility for your move, even if THEY choose the local moving crew for you - several of whom might be right off the street!1. Ordered service over the phone, was never informed that the moving service was not through U-Haul, but rather, a company called Moving Help.2. The Moving Help movers never showed.3. U-Haul then, on their own, secured a new, last minute, emergency crew to try and at least get it done that day.4. Come to find out, after the move, the manager at this U-Haul location believed the crew to have been taken right off the street and appeared ashamed.5. Prior to knowing this, however, and when the crew did finally arrive at my house, the actual U-Box we received was several square feet smaller than anticipated - much to my dismay, the movers informed that this was a deliberate lie put forth by the U-Haul sales team to price out the competition.6. Naturally, they then proceeded to recklessly drop several of our personal belongings.7. When my wife arrived at U-Haul to lodge a formal complaint, the manager informed that he would ensure that the cost of our move would be paid for, and that any insurance claims would be covered absolutely. Indeed, he even argued that our requested increase in coverage was not necessary, because he knows the boss and would take care of it.8. In the end, our 60 TV arrived broken. No party involved is willing to take responsibility, regardless of the purchased insurance. U-Haul blames Moving Help, Moving Help claims to merely be a web hosting service and believes themselves to be completely absolved of liability, and the actual movers (who as they were leaving my house mistakenly texted me a message about being high on drugs) do not even remember who I was or being at my house that day - trust me, threats of litigation with them do not even register.I cannot stress enough how bad a decision it would be to use any of U-Hauls moving services.

Do not use store at I-17 and Mcdowell Rd in Phoenix. Something fraudulent is happening there. Uhaul customer service is a Joke.

Easy to work with and centrally located. They have a large selection of trucks to rent, far more than the one I used previously. Returning after hours was easy.

Worse place ever i called them made arrangements and was still over charger for my uhaul. They claim its .79 cent per miles and the rental is 29.99 per day. Yet i was charged over 130 for my rental. Before my rental was due i called them to let them know i needed more time. Out of all my calls no one told me anything about an extra fee. Then when i called them to talk about what happen. The manager got on the phone and acted like i never called. I advised my situation to them and they agreed to more time. Still no extra fees was explained.i called their office directly and the 800# poor customer services. Their ripping people off and taking people money. I need a lawyer cause this situation is wrong.

I have rented from here frequently. The staff is great and the trucks and vans are well maintained. The location is dropped into an apocalyptic industrial area but its convenient to the highway. Every experience isnt 100% smooth but when there are hiccups (and there have been very few), the crew here goes out of its way to make sure alls well that ends well.

This is our fourth time here. First time was great customer service. The last three times Diana has help us. SHE IS EXTREMELY RUDE !!!!! Thank God is the last time we are coming here ... ... Video of the instruction was out dated. Instructions was not fully given correctly. The place was closed and had no one to call to get help on the milage reading. I kept getting error from the website.

Quick in and out for truck rental. we got a 9 cargo van for less then 20 bucks. all other truck rentals sites were at least 10 bucks more. only place that can rent you a 10 truck too. most others 12 is the min. store personal were busy and professional about getting my needs met. return was fast no hassle easy and we were on our way. highly recommend this outlet if this is closest rental place in the area for you to rent.

Showed up at 7:45am to pickup a truck. The truckshare app and on the browser was not working! I called uhaul and the representative transferred me to the truckshare line! 40+ minutes and still waiting for a representative. Decided to chat online. Gave the representative my reservation number and come to find out this location did not set up my reservation for truckshare!!! I saw a uhaul employee moving trucks outside I let her know what was going on and she said she could not do anything, no help whatsoever. The online representative started the $50 reservation guarantee. I do not recommend this location at all. I have used the truckshare with other uhaul locations and have had success!

Very helpful and friendly. It was a crazy day and they were understanding.

When I picked up the truck I reserved, the lady (Diana) went over her normal instructions so quickly and did not make it clear that I would have to return the truck to the same location that it was rented from. When I went in at the time of my return to discuss the matter with her, she was very rude and insisted that she knows what she said, and that inadvertently in what she always says to renters she leads up to the fact that the rental is to be brought back to that location. She was very unwilling to listen to anything I had to say. I will not be returning to this location, and possibly may not use U-Haul again, either.

Credit card machine not working. I reserved a car hauler but there wasnt one available. Not sure how that worked. They were getting a trailer in later so we got it reserved. But when we went back we couldnt get it due to the credit card machine being down. Went to get cash. They gave the reservation away. Not impressed.

Clerk was extremely rude and uninformative, she refused to clarify anything including the questions she asked me which were very vague. For example, when she asked for an address I asked multiple times what address she needed, a home address, a uhaul drop off address, etc. And she refused to clarify and was very rude about it.

They have it going on. Very good equipment. Very proficient system & very proficient staff. Decent prices on boxes & supplies. No wonder they dominate the highways!

This location. Is a little difficult to find. Once I found it I went inside to pick up my rental truck. The lady at the counter named jasmine was an amazing help and made it a smooth process. Next I had met with Molly and she gave me a tour of my rental she was very kind and professional. She made sure I had everything I needed. I will use this location for my future moves.

I will never rent here again or even attempt to rent here. The girl who helped me was so rude nothing but attitude and was charging me a complete different price from what was on my reservation. No customer service AT ALL!!!

3 stars for the employees...DONT I repeat DONT use the app to check your truck in! I was almost charged $438 for a 24 hour, 34 mile move and it took over 30 minutes and still had to call customer service at 10 oclock at night. Then not only did I get charged my final amount which posted to my account but I wake up today to the initial charge I would have been charged had I gone less miles!! Now I have to borrow money to buy my child diapers till all this is resolved.Im furious they literally took all the money i have and its the weekend. RIDICULOUS!

Had no issues picking up truck. Came here after first location had a defective truck. Got in and out in minutes. However, on return, we got there right at closing, and the woman happily locked the door and switched off the open sign when we were just 10 feet from the door! A few minutes later, she stuck her head out the side door and told us to use the night box. Im 50/50 on this location. The first stop was great, the second left much to be desired.Oddly enough, the corporate reservation line did *not* suggest this location, despite being corporate owned, the *closest* possible location (6 blocks!), and having a huge inventory.

I was charged for u-boxes that I moved out of more than two weeks ago! Ridiculous!! I was told that they updated the boxes as I moved out, but clearly they didn’t.

I would give this location 5 stars because the service was great, fast and friendly. But we had to wait 20+ minutes to initially be helped to rent a Cargo van.

I do not like to leave comments but in this location they do not do their job well, on October 2, 21 I rented a truck, first I did it by phone since previously they told me that they could not do it in the office, but that day I did it as They recommended it to me themselves when I arrived by truck I did not have the reservation in their system and I showed them the confirmation but I did not accept it, who attended me asked me to return the information and they did it to me but they asked me for a $ 100 deposit, to give me They gave me the truck and when I turned it on I always take an image of the dashboard and save it for any claim, but in the same truck I found another key from another truck, I went to leave the office and I took the truck to make the move The route I use is approximately 10 miles away that I use it, to my surprise when I return the truck it appears to me that I have used it 82 miles and they make a charge of $ 17 dollars more than the deposit of $ 100 dollars, and the state calls ndo because they were to call me within 42 hours and until now if he did not call continuously I have no answer, they ask me for an image of the board when I hand it in but I realize that the one I take when I rent it does not work the contometer since if that they cant do anything
