I bought a Herman Miller Caper chair from Costco, about 11 3/4 years ago, and it was suffering. The cylinder died, the rubber arms had rotted off, and it was looking like maybe it was on its last legs.I got ahold of Goodmans, who promptly got me a work ticket setup, and within a week, theyd sent out a tech who replaced everything on my chair that was failing. (And did it with safe social distancing during this time of C19.)Now, its as good as new. Goodmans is highly recommended. #highfiveI also would recommend Herman Miller, as the warranty is entirely worth-while. Im pretty sure Ill get a good 20 years on this office chair; Id go through at least a dozen cheap ones in the same amount of time.

Service above and beyond! I had a couple of issues (track for the seat cushion was not latched and cracked tab on one of the arms) with a Herman Miller chair that was shipped to me from NYC and brought it into the warehouse on Friday. To manage expectations, Martin (Warehouse Service contact) told me that if they need/have the parts in the warehouse, it would be ready on Monday. And if not, they would need to order the parts which could take 4-6 weeks. As promised on Monday, the track on the seat cushion was fixed. And to save me another 20+ minutes each way trip, Martin and his manager came up with a solution to resolve the cracked tab on the arm. Additionally, being new in Phoenix, my Waze navigation sent me to the wrong location when i went to drop of the chair and Brian, the service coordinator, stayed on the phone and helped me navigate my way to the warehouse. Thank you so much Martin, Martin’s manager and Brian for a providing fantastic customer experience!

No online store could begin to provide the amazing service I just received from Goodmans. After previously servicing my Herman Miller chair, it wasnt working properly, a bit of a bummer. I called the service coordinator, Martin, and in less than an hour, the problem was completely resolved. His eagerness to help a customer is so refreshing! The technician was quick and fixed the problem in no time. Im back in business and so impressed with the level of service I just received.

Horrible service. Cant get orders right, then after they badger you with invoices that have either been paid or for projects that were never fulfilled. We have emails from them stating we dont owe them, then a few weeks later, we get an email stating we owe them. Weve tried calling - no answer. Weve tried emailing - no response. They are either going out of business or dont care at all about their reputation. Used to be a good company.

At the start of this week I went into Goodmans on Indian School to look for a desk and it is no longer a showroom. I was greeted or should I say blocked from really entering the space by a woman who was sitting off to the left as I came through the door. She rushed over to me and asked me why I was there. After I told her she proceeded in a very snooty manner to tell me that Goodmans was no longer a showroom and that there was nothing for me to see. She went on in her snooty tone to tell me that Goodmans was only sold Herman Miller and that maybe I should go to Design Within Reach. I did not have a pleasant experience and I was really taken back with her attitude. My office has been buying from Goodmans for years and I did not appreciate the attitude. So beware this store is no longer a showroom.

This is a terrible company and I would not recommend anyone use them in the future for their office desk needs. We ordered new office desks, replacing our office desks that we had purchased from this company over 20 years ago. We were happy with their service in the past and thought we would be able to have another good experience with them today.Boy were we wrong.Initially, after providing them with our measurements they provided what was basically their stock version of what we were able to fit in the space. It took about a month to be delivered, but that is to be expected. On the day of the delivery one thing became quite clear: they contract their delivery and installation to the lowest bidding contractor.Delivery and installation werent provided the tools necessary to do the job so they had to go to the hardware store halfway through the installation process to pick it up. They were gone for an hour and a half. When they came back they told us they had to stop to get some lunch.Incredibly unprofessional. After taking stock of our new desks I discovered that there were 2 pieces in particular that did not fit our needs. I immediately contacted our sales agent, Ally and asked that she meet me in the office so I could show her what was missing and what we needed. She showed up the following Monday. I was explicit with her as to what I needed and thought she had understood.Apparently, this was not the case because after waiting for the month I needed to wait what was delivered was the opposite of what I had asked for which didnt even fit in the space it was supposed to go in. Even when she had taken measurements while standing in my space. The delivery and installation driver (different group) even took measurements and confirmed that the items they were attempting to deliver would not fit in the space allotted. We were also missing another critical piece of furniture I had asked for which had apparently been forgotten altogether.I took to e mail to complain and ask that she correct her mistake after refusing the delivery. During our e mail chain I reiterated several times what I needed and at some point her manager was even copied on said e mail chain. It took half a month to receive a response which she claimed she was waiting to find out from the manufacturer whether or not they could provide us with the very simple piece of furniture I was requesting.(During this time, mind you, her manager never once reached out to see if he could assist in some way nor did he even respond to any of our personal attempts to reach him to discuss our complaints.)Finally, I had thought that the right pieces had been ordered and hunkered down for the almost 2 months it took for the pieces to be specially created for my needs. I had thought I had been clear, but apparently, once again, I was wrong. The different team of delivery people were an hour late in delivering beyond their 3 hour time window and what they delivered was 2 pieces that didnt match the other pieces in our office in wood grain, finish or handles and they did a terrible job installing them.I e mailed the owner, Adam Goodman to tell him of our distress and disappointment in their company and their products and most of all, their sales staff. His response?Sorry. Maybe you should check out a competitor instead. (paraphrasing, of course)Long story short, if you choose to do business with Goodmans, expect inept sales people, invisible management, outsourced and obviously low cost contractors as delivery and installation and an owner who really doesnt care whether you are pleased with your purchase or not. This is not the Goodmans I had heard such glorious reviews about in the past. This is a Goodmans not worth your time.
