These guys at this location are absolutely the coolest and knowledgeable guys out of all the Game stops in my honest opinion thats why I make sure I stop buy everytime Im in Pico they always try to help you find your gaming pleasures and suggest games that you will actually enjoy instead of waste money on. Gamestop has changed a lot for me. This one look more empty since the last time Ive been there They didnt have the switch game i was looking for . When i checked the app there was no store near me that had it and the other was completely unavailable. I ended up ordering my games off Amazon. My friend found some games he wanted though. Gamestop used to be my go to spot because i love buying used games or preordering what i want. Staff is friendly, most of the time you get employees that know a lot about games. Other times you question if they even play games because they look at you confused. Being a gamer myself for 25 years...that can be quite frustrating.
Worst GameStop for pre orders. They’ll sell it if someone orders it online even though you paid it off in full months before release. Idiots

Walked in ready to buy. No greetings, the two employees are just talking to each other and never acknowledged us in the store. Ended up just leaving as to not interrupt their conversation.

Hey GameStop - so you guys called us twice today letting us know at 9pm you are doing the early release of Pokémon. Now, I will admit fault and that we showed up about 15 minutes late and wouldn’t open the door when we went up. Ok, but here’s my biggest issue. Another group went up as well, they got their game and the door opened WE WERE STANDING BEHIND THEM, I even yelled and say hey we’re here too for the game and the gentlemen SLAMMED THE DOOR IN OUR FACES. Now, listen. I understand the retail struggle, and employees wanting to go home, but if you’re doing an early release at 9pm and close at 9:01pm just let us know. Not to mention, YOU GOT THE GAME FOR SOMEONE STANDING IN FRONT OF US. You guys have cameras at your front door I encourage you to look at what your employee did. Slammed it on our faces and didn’t say a WORD. We put money down on the game we were ready to just pick it up, but until I get some rectification on this situation idk what to do. I don’t want your employee to be fired, and apology and explanation is good enough for me! Seriously we’re easy going, but I do not need you to slam the door in our faces bro.Sincerely,Loyal customers

I picked up an online order at the Pico Rivera Game Stop only to become frustrated when I was told they had given me the wrong, lesser valued game that I had purchased. The store employee and I both checked for scratches only to be given the wrong game? Something was definitely up here. I returned to the store, showed them the receipt and was treated very rudely. They even tried to blame an intern for placing the wrong game in the pick up bag! I reminded the employee that HE should have caught that since he was checking and I was trusting him in that additional duty, along with checking for scratches. He then asked if the receipt, which HE had earlier checked, had the better game copy name on it.. Rude. I said yes, YOU should have caught that. No sorry, no apology for inconveniencing me. Customers should be able to trust that their specific orders are correctly filled. Sorry I came to this Game Stop; I wont anymore!!

Overpriced nonsense especially given the fact that most people would prefer to own digital copies of a game rather than a physical disc. these guys have been ripping off consumers for over a decade. I for one will be very happy when they finally go out of business.
I will say this review is based on the animal crossing debacle and the lack of inability to answer a freaking phone call for four solid days. I pre ordered a good 30 days early, actual 2 pre orders. I I was worried that GameStop would close before the release date and tried calling multiple times to get an answer. I then heard and found out after calling other multiple GameStops that they actually were releasing it a day early due to possible closures on the release date. I went down there and stood in line with other people who also knew that animal crossing was coming out that day. Just to be told that we would not be able to get it and would have to come back tomorrow. I explained to the gentleman there that all gamestops are releasing today he stated he had just spoken with his manager and was told not to. I ended up getting a refund for both of the games and then try to find other game stops to get the game with noa avail decided to go digital for both. This happened at 8 p.m. . it is important for stores to pick up their phones so this way when other managers from other gamestops are trying to call you to let you know that you clearly did not get the memo that you need to be doing your job correctly. Im beyond irritated upset frustrated and will never ever pre-order at a GameStop again.

Tried to call to check stock. No answer. Drove to store and game was different price than what was online. Employee said it was power up price but that wasnt stated anywhere. Power up price was even lower. Didnt even bother pretending to look it up on the computer. Fix your sign its dead like your customer service.

Picked 2 pre-owned games, 1 being Madden 18 G.O.A.T addition, brought it to the counter, employee pulls out regular addition. When I told her she said Oh thats just the box, a dont carry that one anymore. She never checked to see if it was there. And didnt seem to care.

The staff at this gamestop are shady as hell. I come in here mostly to buy funko pops and I saw the employees going through the black Friday boxes and removing the rare items. They are deff selling those on ebay, and they are probably why you can never get any of the rarer funko products at this store, employees dont put them out then buy them and sell it online for marked up prices.
