These guys came out and installed a new three and a half ton heat pump at my house and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. This company is awesome!! I called to get an estimate for a new A/C unit and they came out and looked at everything and gave me a great price. I responded to a Facebook add inquiring about a new unit because my previous company told me it had to be replaced so they came out to give me a price for a new system but instead made the repairs to my existing 12 year old unit as well as give me a replacement price. These guys really came through for a single mother of 2 and I can’t repay them enough. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!!!
I decided to go from a simple repair on my existing unit to adding an additional one to my house because of their service. Highly recommend!
Used this company when my AC went out. The appointment was set for 8am to 5PM and when he showed up went into the crawl space above my house and said the unit turned on when he got close to it. Never did any trouble shooting to find out if there was a problem. Three days later the unit went out again called and got another 8am to5pm time frame and at 4:22 I called the company and was told I would have to wait all weekend without AC and that monday between 8am and 5PM someone would be at my house. When I told the operator what I was told the last time they came out that it had just turned on I was told that the technician said he had to flip a switch on the unit. When asked what switch or why it was not looked into why it had flipped I was told the technician would call me and then was hung up on without getting my number.
They made sure we were taken care of during our time of need. And that I got the financing that fit my budget. Now me and my mom will be comfortable this summer!

After waking up to a freezing cold house and a 3 month old baby I called Smart Cool. Even though we was in Little Rock they came out within a couple of hours and had our heat working again in no time. So thankful! They were very professional and caring.
These guys showed up in my Facebook news feed running a special on their equipment, even though I was a bit leary in the beginning I’m absolutely glad that I called them. The hooked me up with a brand new system and offered me several financing options to ease the pain of payment. I also priced them against the competition here in central Arkansas and they couldn’t touch the price that I paid. I’m so glad I found them and I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

This is a really good company with really good techs, they had been having trouble out of 18 seer heat pump and have had several techs look at it, they replaced a board, contactor and added something that they said would help it start and I was still having problems. I seen these guys advertised on Facebook and reached out to them and they had someone out the same day and he found that the run capacitor was bad and removed the other added part. Unit has been running with no issues for a month now. I highly recommend them if you need your unit repaired.
Smartcool installed a new Goodman central heat/air system in my home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. They sent 2 young men named Wayne and Chris out to remove my old system, and install the new one. These men were in their late 30s, and they both displayed excellent work habits and ethics. They arrived at 10:00 A.M. and left at 5:15 P.M. with the job finished, and that was including a lunch break. They both took a lot of extra pains to make sure my new system was installed properly, and it looked good too. They even went in the attic and checked to make sure the duct work and insulation were in good shape too. I dont believe I could have gotten a better installation job from anyone, regardless of how old they were, or how much experience they had. I am one happy and satisfied customer. I highly recommend Smartcool, and Wayne and Chris, to anyone who needs any heat/air work done.
Here it is 3 days in 90 degrees in my home 3 asthmatic kids. I read a review that stated they came and fixed her unit on a Sunday. Well that would be wonderful if we could of experienced this. Im still waiting on a call back said possibly today or Tuesday September 18. Maybe once I receive service and a call back my review will change.😒😒😒🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Our home burned in 2014 and when we decided to rebuild we chose Smart Cool. From day one they were professional, on time, and gave us a really good price. We were on vacaction this summer and my daughter called with a problem with our unit. I contacted Lori and she had someone to our house very quickly. It was a relief especially with us being so far from home. Thanks again Smart Cool for all you have done and continue to do for us.
Our air went out in the middle of the night and the repairman was there the same day, which is hard to find in the heat of summer. It was late in the day but had to order a part and came back the following day and had it up and running. I have never had anyone this reliable and would highly recommend them and immediately call for any of my future needs. Very knowledgeable and friendly crew.
Our heat went out and this company came the next morning. We needed a new unit and we could not afford it. They told us our home warranty company had an upgrade special going and walked us thru getting a new heat pump complete system at the discounted rate. Im in shock to be able to find a company that cares so much to help us. They could have said nothing and charged us for working on old useless unit but instead they bent over backwards helping us get a new one. The men that came used drop cloths to walk on in house and cleaned and vacuumed after they were done. They had to do extra parts and stuck with price and didnt charge for the additional things. You cant find any company like this anymore. I love my new unit and its going to save so much on my electric bill. I love you guys!!! Thank you for caring!
If it were possible to give zero stars I would have done so. They came to our house telling us that everything worked fine but that in order to fix our issue we would have to pay $1000. We hired another company that came out and fixed it and all of 40 minutes and the issue that they were talking about didnt even exist.

Awful awful awful. I can not find enough words to express there terrible customer service. Had to pay over $1400 out of pocket lord only knows what they charged my insurance. Waited well over 3 weeks for service. Had to call several times a day just to hope to get someone on the phone. Finally get an appointment after calling repeatedly almost begging just for a date, had to wait another week. The person answering the phone was rude and unhelpful. However the guys that came out to do the installation not bad just left a mess in the house and didnt bother to clean. It up.

Hands down the WORST company to do business within the State of Arkansas, the owner (Lori) is incredibly rude as is her technician David. David came claimed our unit hadnt been serviced, I presented David with proof it had been. He proceeded to be even more rude and tell me you do have a small freon leak, but we arent going to fix it and left after trying to sell me HIS companies routine maintence agreement and I declined. Now 2 days later my AC has completely stopped working. I am filling a complaint with the Arkansas Attorney General and BBB. Thankfully for me I all the interaction on video so I can provide evidence to his horrible service. DO NOT use this company!

Terrible customer service! Middle of August and 16 days later they still cant find a part? The part is on the shelf in Little Rock and was found by another company. Problem is that this is being handled through a warranty company so it HAS to go through Smart Cool. They say 5 weeks on the part! Drive to Little Rock and get it! NOT COOL at all!

This company is horrible. We had no choice, but to use them because a file was claimed through the home warranty company. The customer has been without A/C for almost a month due to this companies lack of communication and willingness to get the job done. I work with several contractors and this by far is the worst. They dont answer their phones and waited to schedule work until a payment was made outside of what was covered. The problem was they never forward us the invoice to pay!! When it was paid it still took over 2 weeks before we contacted them again wanting to know when we could expect the work to be done.. long story short, WE ARE A MONTH IN AND STILL NO A/C!!!!!!
Do not I repeat do not use this company for any type of services. Per my home warranty this company smart cool was sent out to fix my air conditioner Three weeks ago. Initially they did not call to schedule or contact me as a customer I had to call on several occasions to even get an appointment for them to come out to my home. On the first visit I was told that I had a leak and they put Freon in my unit. A week later had same issue and the same company was sent out. This time when they came they actually looked at both units inside and out and came to the conclusion that there was a leak in my inside unit. In the meantime two weeks has went by without no air. I contacted my warranty company who stated that smart cool is not sending in the correct paperwork in order to have my system fixed. During this whole ordeal no one from Smart cool has ever attempted to call me to schedule appointments to follow up etc. When I called them I was always directed to a voicemail,And when asked to call me back I never get a response. Finally three weeks later smart cool sent in correct paperwork with the price to my Warranty company. Again I had to contact the company to see where we were in fixing my issue I was told that they were waiting on part to get in but in the meantime I would be sent an invoice and payment is due up front. Upon receiving email invoice which stated funding is due upon completion, and I questioned smartcool about this. The receptionist told us that that is incorrect on their paperwork and that they could not remove that statement from there invoice (are you not the company that made the invoice). She then proceeded to talk to her supervisor and they decided that they were not gonna come out to fix my air conditioner and would return the part back to the warehouse, (I was under the impression they were still waiting on part due to no call from smartcool). I repeat this company is very unprofessional, has a rude receptionist and does not handle business in a timely manner and only the customer suffers. Thank God my home warranty company reached out to some one that same day they said they were not coming and sent someone the following day and my air is fixed, which by the way is different issue then what smartcool reported to warranty company.

Seems like they know that when they’re doing work through a home warranty company that the homeowner doesn’t have a choice, so SmartCool treats the homeowner like garbage. They should be ashamed, but folks who act the way they are (avoiding calls, screwing over people who have no options) don’t tend to feel shame anyway.Pick someone else if you have a choice.

I have witnessed this company taking more than two weeks to fix a friend’s air conditioner. All that is needed is a common part found in most supply houses. Two weeks to fix an air conditioner in this day and age is unacceptable.
I had an almost identical incident due to being assigned this company from my warrenty company. I complained vigorously. I was left on June 30th with no air and told nothing I can do about it when I asked about my fan blower making a horrible sound the tech could hear.I was ignored when I called. This was past 4th of july and had another company out because of this companies incompetence. And just leaving us yo wait for who knows how long.If I could give no stars I would. Avoid this company at all costs . The company that came out to clean up the mess had to do multiple repairs which this company didnt diagnose even just told me i had to pay the for a cleaning package before they would do anything which isnt covered on a warrenty

To anyone out there that considers my recommendations as counting for anything, never use Smartcool of Arkansas Inc. and be cautious about choosing First American for your home warranty.Our AC went out in our home about May 2nd, we immediately called our home warranty company, First American Home Warranty, and Smartcool of Arkansas came out on May 3rd. They evaluated things and left. After not hearing from them for a week we called them and were told by the receptionist/secretary that no one was available to talk to me and took a message promising that someone would call me back. This message taking and promises of call backs repeated for another week without ever hearing from anyone. So I called my home warranty company and asked them to put some pressure on Smart Cool of Arkansas.After about 3 days and still no response I called First American and they said they couldn’t get anyone from smart cool to call them back. At the end of the 3rd week First American called and said that they had finally gotten a report from Smartcool saying that our compressor was bad and was a rare brand name and was difficult to find. First American said they were going to try to help find the compressor.I called every day of the 4th week and finally got a response from First American halfway through the 5th week that the replacement work was ready to be scheduled, I just needed to agree to the terms of non covered costs and smart cool could order the compressor. Puzzled, I asked “so they still don’t have the compressor?” They said, “oh they can get any part they need in about 35 business days.” So then I asked, “so what’s been the delay up until this point, why didn’t they order it after they looked at my unit 5 weeks ago?” The agent at First American then went on to berate me for not just agreeing to the non-covered costs and said that my ac would have already been fixed a while ago if I would have agreed to the non-covered cost. I, as politely as I could, told the agent that I wasn’t even told what was wrong with my AC until 3 weeks after they looked at it, and that this, 5 weeks after, was the first I was hearing about a scheduling opportunity, and that I simply wanted to know what the delay was if it wasn’t the compressor as I was told, and why I was told it was the compressor when that wasn’t true.I still don’t have an answer nor do I have working AC in my home after a month and a half. Please don’t trust your home and family to First American home warranty or Smart cool of Arkansas.
Horrible communication and customer service. My experience began through my home warranty group. I submitted the job April 11th. SmartCool scheduled the initial visit and texted the information. A very personable technician came out to assess the job and refer it for repairs to my ductwork. In the meantime, they called me to sell me a new furnace. I declined and the lack of communication began. A MONTH later, I call and get receptionists who claim they cannot transfer a call or do anything except sound like a parrot and take a message. They had no answers solutions or urgency about my repair. I waited for the scheduler to call me back. No call. I called again, exact same words in the exact same tone from a different receptionist. They can only take a message and have the scheduler call back. I called again and asked to speak with a manager. The receptionist said there is no way for them to transfer calls so I they have to take a message. I put in a second service request with my home warranty people. on May 15th. I received a text from SmartCool saying they would be calling to schedule the ductwork. Friday, the 18th, I missed a call from Wendy while I was at work stating they wanted to send someone out THAT DAY. 10 mins after the first missed call, Megan called me to see if they could come Friday to install the ductwork. I missed that call too because I was at work (STILL). I returned their call a few hours later upon being made aware they called. I got the parrot receptionist who cant transfer me to anyone and said she would take a message. I told her that they had called me and were waiting for permission to come out. She still took a message. I called back that evening, no success. I left a message for the business manager, Lori, no return call. I called Monday all day. Nothing. The standard message is Megan or Wendy is unavailable at this time and they would have her call me back. I called the home warranty people call and they got the same runaround. Customer service is huge for me. This company has none. I will move forward with the BBB complaint, but as you know, if they answer the complaint, they still retain their star rating even if they dont do right by the customer. So when your home warranty company assigns this company, the key is to ask for a different company BEFORE they send someone out from SmartCool. They have no urgency. When I first put in this complaint, it was cold outside. Now its 90 degrees and I have no air flowing to the vents. Shameful. Customers deserve better than that.Please do not lie on this forum. Nothing is wrong with my phone and I asked the receptionists if they were an answering service (since I only called during business hours) they said no, they are just receptionists. You did not try to call me. Stop lying!! When you call, you leave a message and it comes up on my call log. I have been available and calling during your business hours repeatedly with no answer on your end, not mine. Dont try to flip this on the customer. You took the time to post this lie, but Im still waiting for a call RIGHT NOW from you. Nothing is wrong with my phone now. Call and stop lying. I have my phone record. It shows when calls are missed and when they come in or out. I called 5/22 7:25AM, 5/21 9:40AM, 5/18 4:3PM, 1:24PM, missed your call that day at 10:07AM and 9:47 AM. I called on 5/16 9:48AM and 5/15 at 11:28AM... all times your business is stated to be open. Stop lying in your responses5/29/2018 American Home Shield spoke with Smartcool and they said they would call to schedule the work. They tried to schedule it with them, but they refused and said they would call me that day. No call again surprise surprise... I went up there 5/30/2018 and was met by Patrick in the parking lot who said that because of my online complaint, he was not coming to my house. I told him to go ahead and cancel it then instead of holding it up and lying to say they were trying to contact me or that they were scheduling me. EVERYONE BEWARE!! THIS IS ANOTHER FORM OF FRAUD

On August 8, 2018, the air conditioning in my house stopped functioning. I placed a claim with my home warranty company, First American, on that same date, and they began seeking HVAC contractors to diagnose and repair the unit.On August 10, 2018, Smartcool of Arkansas examined the unit and determined that the blower was broken. We were informed that they would submit the proper paperwork to First American, order the part, and return to repair the unit.On August 12, 2018, we called Smartcool to follow up and were told the part was ordered, and that the unit would be repaired “Friday or next week, at the latest.”On August 15, 2018, we called Smartcool to follow up and were told the part was on back order. We reached out to First American with concerns about the wait. First American informed us that Smartcool had never submitted paperwork from their visit to our home and that repairs had not been approved.On August 22, 2018, we were 14 days without air and the temperature in our home reached 90 degrees. I called Smartcool two times, and my husband called once. Each time, we were told the part was on back order. The employee who answered the phone stated she would find out what was going on and call us back. She never called back.Meanwhile, we contacted a local HVAC company seeking help. This company called back 2 hours later and informed us they were looking at the part we needed, sitting on a supply shelf in Little Rock- approximately 30 miles from our home in Conway. However, because we were trapped with Smartcool as our service provider due to the home warranty, we were unable to use this company to step in and repair the unit.On August 23, 2018, my husband called Smartcool and asked to speak to a supervisor. Ms. Frasier, a Smartcool employee, transferred to Lori McMillen’s voicemail. He immediately called back, and his call was ignored. He called 8 times in a row, and his call was ignored. He called from a different phone, and his call was answered by Ms. Frasier. He again requested to speak to Lori McMillen. She refused to take his call. My husband was informed that the part was on back order for another 3 weeks, which would make it a total of 5 weeks in August with no air conditioning. My husband informed the Smartcool employee that the necessary part was sitting on a shelf in Little Rock. She was unconcerned.After multiple attempts at contact, First American Home Warranty was unable to reach Smartcool for answers.As I write this, the temperature outside is 93 degrees. My husband and I have 3 children, two dogs, and a hamster. We are on day 19 without air conditioning. Our home is nearly uninhabitable, reaching the high 80s and low 90s.It is our belief that Smartcool of Arkansas shops for the cheapest supplies possible for warranty customers in an effort to maximize their profits, at the detriment of customers. Why else would they not order a necessary part from a local supplier? Due to their concern with the bottom line, my family has been suffering for nearly 3 weeks without air conditioning in an Arkansas summer. Today, the humidity is at 84%.AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

Pine Bluff and surrounding areas friends and family, DO NOT use this company (SmartCool) for your Heating and A/C. It took them 17 days to fix our heat!!!! 17 days????? 17 days????? I am assumming their parts come from China to save money, when I know for a fact that there is a part here in LR they could have used.We were assigned this company through our home warranty or I would have called someone else!!!!I have 2 kids and 3 elderly people living in this house so they were COLD!!!!!I saw on their facebook that you are a priority customer if you enrolled in their $200 a yr plan. I guess we werent a Priority!!!!Here is what I went through:Lady owner (Lori or so I was told) had to come with a tech (not sure why) on Tuesday Jan. 23rd bc they were short handed and they didnt diagnose anything. They cleaned a part and said if that doesnt work, call us back bc all we need to do is order a part. Called them bc it didnt work, they said that they will send a tech out in 2 days. I called back and said that the previous tech said that a part need to be ordered (thinking thats all was needed and that it would help save them a trip and shorten our wait time bc it is COLD, however they didnt have any of this noted in their system, so they have to call the previous tech to confirmed). 3 days later (Friday January 26th) a tech came out and said that we ordered the wrong part and a blower motor is also needed. I called (Monday Jan 29th) for status and they said parts will be here Friday (Feb 2nd or Monday Feb 5th next week. I called Monday Feb 5th, they dont know where the parts are located. I Asked for a supervisor to call me bc my uncle is also licensed and said that he found the parts locally (hoping they can use the parts found) still no one called me til this day to discuss this option!!!!I Called everyday for updated or to speak to someone in charge, the girls who answered the phone say she is only the receptionist and doesnt know anything, she can only get information and have schedulers call me back. Called Lori and left a message (got her number from when she called me on jan 23rd to say she was on the way).They finally came out today, Thursday Feb 8th, but realized that they needed another part.Luckily, they came back with the part and got our heater fixed!!!!
Extremely unprofessional. They are not able to hold scheduled appointments and offer excuses time after time with no committed appointments. Avoid at all costs.

I have AMS home insurance and when my a/c went out, as in the fan was blowing but no cold air was coming out. A man named Dave came out to fix it and when he showed up. I asked him he was going to do any maintenance. His reply was No Im not here for that, I have other jobs to do today. So I just replied that if he saw anything that needed maintenance to please let me know. He said Ok and disappeared to my a/c unit to the other side of my house. He came back 15min later saying that my fan was frozen due to running too low and that he added some freon free of charge to my unit. I believed him. Then he went on about how I needed a new a/c unit, which is probably kind of true due to it being 18 years old. But he just told me to run my fan for a couple hours to break off the ice off and itll all be fine. Which I did that day and night, and my a/c unit continued to go down hill faster than a Jamaican bobsled team in 1988. Fast forward to today with my house that has slowly gone to 88 degrees (2 days). My neighbor came over and told me that there was a very loud screeching noise, a bang, and it stopped and starterd, from my a/c unit while I was out to dinner. I immediately turned it off. I called AMS and they told me, that when they talked to him that he filed in his report that the evap. coil had a leaking onto my fan, which was causing it to freeze. Which he completely failed to tell me the entire time that he was trying to sell me a new a/c unit. Maybe if he was honest. This review would be very different. But he wasnt and now Im going with a new company and my a/c is worse than before.
Its just too much, I know I wont ever use this company again, my heater is not working properly still Im exhausted now with these folks.
I took off work and this company had me waiting all day and never showed up or called. I contacted them and they said they didn’t show up because of a wrong phone number. What company needs a phone number to show up to a address? They didn’t bother to contact my warranty company and inform them or anything. That is terrible customer service and I wouldn’t refer them to anyone in my life. Go with another company I have heard bad things about them, I’m warning you. They don’t take warranty companies serious, so if your warranty company recommends them then you should tell them you want someone else. Their communication with customers is terrible.
