My girlfriend and I were in Saturday the 24th just spending the afternoon looking at exotics, visiting from Tennessee. Absolutely no intention of buying, just looking and admiring. I wish I gotten the name of the salesman (younger guy, dark and short curly hair, white dress shirt, said he was fresh from working in Lexus dealership) but he was so nice to us. Spent atleast an hour if not longer than that with us, talking with us about the cars and letting us look all around them. He was so, so nice and knowledgeable about the cars, talked to us like we were there to buy. When I asked if I could sit in the 19 red 570 they had in the showroom he didnt hesitate, he just said absolutely and got the key. My girl and I were just astonished how cool he was with us. Ive kept taking about him every day since then and wishing that If I did have the money I wouldnt hesitate to have him sell me a car. Ive visited allot of exotic car dealers just to look and admire the cars, and he was the first to approach us, ask if he could help, and even after we said were just there to look, he didnt turn his back. He genuinely enjoys talking about the products and letting people get us close to them. He is very good at his job and my girl and I wish him the best success and hopefully when Im not car poor, Ill be in to spend a day with him to spec out our dream cars. Thank you!! It made our week!

Fred and the rest of the staff made us feel right at home for our visit, even knowing up front we were not there to buy. The knowledge and passion for the brands represented at the dealership shines in the sales people. I have had nothing but a positive experience with William at Mclaren of Tampa Bay. He greeted me when I first walked in and asked if we had any questions. I told him I had no intention to buy (I really didn’t until my wife pointed at one and said you can buy that one...haha). Even before that point, he answered every question I threw at him as I was browsing around.The thing that really impressed me about him was there was ZERO pressure at any time, over multiple days. He was just there helping me and giving me the most accurate information so I could make the best decision.Ultimately I chose a 570S and he made the process very simple. He also gave me his personal cell number if I had any questions or need help in the future. While this is my first super car and there are several other manufacturers... I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere but to William at Mclaren of Tampa Bay.

Ive contacted McLaren of Tampa Bay 3+ times over the last 2 weeks to try to schedule a time to bring my McLaren in for Service due to service engine warning. Left a VM, got a call back the next day telling me someone else will call me back. 5 days go by and nothing. Called a 3rd time and left a VM again, and still no callback. Called another person in service and left another VM and still nothing. Id think youd get better service from a Dealership selling $200k+ cars, but apparently wrong.

I purchased a McLaren from the Sarasota store. Surprisingly, I worked with the same person who used to be at Mercedes where I purchased an AMG GT S a year ago. A motivating part of the reason I purchased this car is that I have such comfort in working with Cary Smart. The McLaren regional area manager for Florida however has systematically worked against me whenever I try to get anything done on my McLaren. I have owned 5 mcLaren(s) now and I’m about to cancel my 720S Spider order, sell my 720S and be done with this brand.Simon Andrew the McLaren regional area manager does not listen to what the customer has to say, he assumes things and does what he wants. He has also gone out of his way to not only prevent authorized warranty issues on my car but made special efforts to undermine the entire reason for me owning a McLaren. He makes claims about what the car is being used for without actually knowing anything about the issue, assuming which is ridiculous to do without actually hearing the customer out.I deal with McLaren dealers for business and all of them are very helpful. With my last issue he made yet another bad judgement call and didn’t even listen to what I had to say. The worst part, he is Way off base as I too am in the car business and he just didn’t look, assumed and denied the warranty claim.The sad part is the service team as a whole are very friendly people and have to work under this person. They even admitted that he is very difficult to deal with, lost customers and they are made to look like the bad guy. As a business owner and just a people person, I would release him immediately. He needs to be stocking shelves or in a warehouse somewhere and not in contact with other people.I can tell you that the McLaren as a brand has been great. Again, I have owned 5 now and coulnd’t be happier. Unfortunately because of this one individual it has become a very poor experience and I would recommend that if you want to be treated like a valued customer. He is out of touch with the actual customer.

My family and I travelled to Tampa Bay from Alaska for a 2 week vacation. On one of those days, I took my 10 year old son and 9 year old nephew to the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum which happens to be just around the corner from this dealership. On the way back to our condo, my son asked if we could stop and look at the McLarens because hes an exotic car fanatic. I told him we could stop for a moment but that we can only look quickly as they probably didnt want people loitering with no intention of buying.As both boys were amazed by the different models parked outside, one of the employees pulled up in a transport truck. He jokingly asked the boys which one they wanted to take home. I asked the gentleman if it was ok we were looking around. Not only was he very accomodating, he encouraged us to go inside and look around.I reminded the boys to keep their distance from the vehicles and to look but dont touch. As we walked around looking at the various Bentleys, Rolls Royces, and McLarens, a salesman looked up from his desk and asked how we were doing. I let him know we were just looking around and that a gentleman outside said it would be ok to look around. Not only was the salesman just as polite, he easily turned this day into the favorite for each boy as he allowed them to sit inside one of the McLarens on the show room floor allowing me to get some pictures.I can tell you I have no intention of ever purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, but that is solely because I do not have the resources for such an extravagant purchase. However, as we drove away from the dealership, I gave the boys the cliche speach about working hard to obtain their dreams. I also told them that if they were ever fortunate enough to be in a position to make such a purchase, to remember how they were treated as young boys and consider making their purchase from this particular dealership regardless of where they were in the world.My sincere thanks from a father who got to see one of his sons dreams come true.
