Crystal is amazing! They have wonderful Mediterranean food! Their falafel doughnuts are fantastic! Their tabbouleh is the best that Ive ever had! Crystals staff is very kind. Also, Guy Fieri has been here and with reason - this place will take you to flavortown!

I had a night to kill in Pittsburgh and came across this place. The lamb kabobs were excellent and the kibbe and tabouli were definitely above average. Ive tried as many Middle Eastern food places as I can on my travels. This one is definitely worth a try.

So good!I love bartender and the unique food. Who would have thought lamb kabobs, fries and basmati rice would work together.

I have tried my way through the menu and have not been disappointed once!!

We are at the Westin Conference Center. I recommend Crystal for lunch. The tabouli is a perfect side to a chicken kabob or falafel wrap. 😋

If youre downtown check out this spot! Excellent food and chill atmosphere. Were first timers and went early around 5 to avoid a wait. Starts to get busy around 7. The server/bartender detailed the menu items so no worries if youre not sure what to get. (it all sounds great!). Good luck and happy dining!

The restaurant has been closed for over a year now.Supposedly they had great food, but the building is empty now

A waitress at Eleven recommended Crystal. We were excited to visit. The bartender was a complete Debbie Downer. We chatted with a gentleman at the bar, and were having a great time - she started to close up. It was 8pm!!!! When we left, we doubled back by not knowing the area - she had uncovered the bar top game she had just covered, and was sitting there playing after closing up early....

I was with a group of 4 other people there. We had drinks & food. I got the meatball sandwich which was one of the specials & the others all got different entrees. We all liked everything that we got. The wedding soup in particular was very good & those of us that got it really liked it. The service was very friendly, fast, & efficient, too, so I highly recommend this.

Great small dive bar with delicious food. There were enough menu options to make everyone in my group happy. I got the Mediterranean combo platter and the grape leaves were some of the best Ive had. My son got chicken fingers and my husband had the lamb gyro and ate every last crumb.

This was my second visit to Crystal on Penn....I first discovered it about a year ago after visiting the Heinz History Center. Amazing. One of the best restaurants around! Outstanding food at a reasonable price. Great hometown feel. Fast, friendly service. I highly recommend the falafel and the wedding soup cannot be matched! So glad I have discovered this gem...it really saved the day yesterday and did not disappoint! I will most definitely be back!

Exceptional restaurant! Highly recommend!! Cozy interior. Very affordable. Great daily specials. $1 Burger Special (I forget which day it is). Taco Tuesday.....the best Falafel in the area by far. Excellent Gyro.....was featured on Diners, Drive Ins, & Dives. Full Bar and really good drink specials. Good Beer choices. By all means.....if you are in the Strip District, at the Convention Center, staying in a Downtown Hotel.....walk there and have a great meal.

We didnt have dinner here, but appetizers are great and the staff is really friendly. Its a laid back establishment great for drinks after work. The other patrons are always friendly. It can be hard to leave.

This appears a bar so youd expect bar food. But the food is Mediterranean and delicious! Staff is friendly and inviting.

Great food beyond words! Tried a good cross section of the menu and had trouble picking favorites. Quite reasonable prices, and filling portions. I can see why Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives loved the place. If you like Greek/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food, youll love this.

This is a great spot to stop for food and cold brews before a night out on the town. I agree its a bit of a dive bar, but still one of my favorite go to spots. I love that everythings reasonably priced and the portions are large if you choose to share.

Simple, yet delicious food - in a downtown (I say this affectionately) hole-in-the-wall setting - service was prompt and efficient! I had a very good half-pound burger (with bacon, egg & cheese) and my dinner companion had the Chicken Kabob with Taboli & soup - excellent food and reasonably priced! Ill be back the next time biz takes me to the Burgh!

Best prices and portion sizes in the downtown area. Food is excellent, with surprisingly awesome homemade Mediterranean food. The staff is very friendly and good to talk to, but you may need to be a bit assertive during busy hours to get attention. This is usually not an issue.

Stopped in for lunch on 4/15. The lamb kabob was great had authentic Mediterranean flavor; reminded me of the 2-1/2 years in Greece. Service was top notch and had a good time talking with the owner.

This is my husband and Is favorite dive bar in the city! The food is amazing and the bartenders and staff are so great. The grape leaves are the best Ive had!

I was waiting for my bus to NY and wanted somewhere to pass time.... i walked into Crystals not expecting much... i was blown away by the Service absolutely excellent, food was great..and inexpensive...

The food is great, but I will never go back, cause of ignorant people that work there, especially the management. (She is and hires these ignorants) I can get just as good enough food elsewhere. Of course the turnover rate there tells it all. ;-)

Ate here during Anthrocon, staff were friendly (despite other reports here stating otherwise) and actually talked with us about where we were coming from and seemed very interested in what was going on at the convention center. Ate a Caesar salad which tasted pretty good but of course not the best food ever. Small, cozy location.

Was one of my favorite places 2 eat...last 2 or 3 times there.. it appears the staff has changed (new owner maybe? Not sure) and the service was slow, slow, slow... from bar 2 kitchen service. Food was still pretty good - usually Reuben, chicken sandwich or tuna melt. I will try again 2 see if service was a fluke or new norm!

This is a cozy place to catch up with friends. Thats what I did there. They have a unique beer selection, which was a bonus.

We went for Kareoke last night and had a blast! The crowd was mixed and everyone was so friendly! We will definitely be going back!

Horrible food. REAL tzatziki sauce is not made with sour cream! How do you mess up salad? Somehow, they managed to. When I was asked by the manager how did you like your food? I was honest and said it was awful. She said to me, next time well make you a better one. REALLY??? Next time? #1 Maybe you should do that EVERY TIME. And #2 youre assuming Id actually come back. The whole place is too dark. Not clean. Portable heaters on the bar. Just a real mess.

Come for the $6 Miller Lite pitchers, stay for the yummy baba ganoush. Great food and drink specials every day. Fun bartenders, friendly clientele. Great spot.

Brought 2 friends from out of town to take a break from Heinz History Ctr (they ran out of food!). Great, reasonably priced menu. The reuben and the made to order burger were both hits w my friends. For me, absolutely the best Italian Wedding Soup Ive ever had! This place is also well known for excellent Mediterranean food. Small, unpretentious- and featured on the Food Network about 10 yrs ago. Adjacent to downtown PGH and worth a stop!

Would rate zero stars if I could. Walked into building to a resounding “no” from staff. Crystal and all staff said we could not stay at Crystals because we had 7 people in our party. POOR business model and POOR customer service. Did not even say, “Sorry, but...” unacceptable. Will not return!!!!!!!

Me & my friend went to Crystal before the Eric Church concert. It was the first time for both of us. very casual atmosphere....the waiter helped me decide what I wanted, I got the combo with grape leaves, kibbeh & tabbouli. My friend is Lebanese and he got the lamb & chicken on the rod.. We shared everything the was served. It was delicious. We will be back
