Very friendly staff not the best prices but when they have sales they are extremely good definitely a store for the area...

I am in the neighborhood and love having a grocery store I can walk to.. The service is good and the associates are friendly and helpful. My only problem is they have one tiny bit of organic greens in the produce department.. Being a person who only buys organic produce and lots of it (family of five) this department is useless to me. I also would love to see more products made locally such as perogies, ravioli, etc.

The staff are cool.The fruit and veggies are in good condition. I got grapes almost two weeks ago and none have spoiled.They have almond milk icecream, which I didnt know was a thing, and Im in love. Mmph!

Its no Shursave. No static-y Youre So Vain here. They dont even have Old Bay. But, the staff are super friendly and it had the essentials.

Shur Save II is definitely a step back from the original Shur Save. Time will tell if it can redeem itself. Another Pittsburgh gem lost.

Has affordable deals sometimes and is in a convenient place where there arent many grocery stores. A good selection of vegetarian food (seitan, jackfruit, etc) for a small grocery store, which is much appreciated! Staff are always friendly and helpful.A bit more expensive than, say, Aldi, so I dont do a lot of my shopping here. While it can be a bit pricey, and they dont always have the stuff Im looking for, I dont mind too much because its perfect for that oh no, Im out of milk! moment where I dont want to drive anywhere and can just pop on over to the market.

This Is my neighborhood grocery store. It almost was turned into expensive condominiums. The community came out and voiced their opposition at a planning meeting. Another local grocery chain decided to buy and continue operating it. If they hadnt my journey to a grocery store works have been made much more difficulty. So, Im very glad they decided to take over. Theyve got a few new items which is nice to have. The prices are approximately the same, of not better on some things. The manager is very friendly, nice and helpful. Some of the other members of the staff need some help in this area, but its really not much of a big deal. The lines move as fast as the last store, and there are a similar number of cashiers open. I KNOW the neighborhood is glad to have the community market. Were hair or community isnt going to be gentrified.

Decent local grocery store for quick runs to grab a few things or items missed on your list, but with Aldi nearby youll want to skip this store is you want a better variety of healthier products at a lower price.Deli guy is always super friendly, pleasant and helpful. 👍Anyone who lives in the area is aware that this store was almost closed and folks are happy and grateful to have the option. In my experience, not much is on sale and prices of many items are significantly more than Aldi, but not as bad as Giant Eagle Market District or, of course, Whole Foods.

Only a few shoppers during my brief shopping visit to the Produce Dept. Good selection of reasonably priced fresh fruit. Courteous, efficient cashier service. Store appeared to be clean and well maintained.

Glad its open but can tell that the new Giant Eagle management thinks we dont deserve access to a full produce section until they can build $zillion condos to accompany the store. For some reason they wont keep faux meat stocked in a consistent way. But I dont think Giant Eagle does better at other locations.

Its a Giant Eagle takeover store from the former IGA...prices arent discount as one would think. The convenviece of location is our plus for Bloomfield but its Giant Eagle overpriced just the same 😡

Smaller version Giant Eagle. Has almost anything you would need.

This is a different place than Shur Save and we can deal with it. New deals to be had. New people to meet with social distancing. The steak sales on satyrday are AWESOME for carnivores.EDIT: I literally do not care if your staff and cashiers are cheery or friendly. We are all in this together and I feel you.

Great selection at reasonable prices

Pretty sure this is technically a Giant Eagle store. So youve got Market District prices, but you cant actually use a Giant Eagle card for discounts/rewards etc. I live across the street, but end up going to Aldi in Friendship for affordable groceries. So just dont expect to come in and still get anywhere close to ShurSave prices. However, I will say that the new staff is very friendly and the store is always clean.

Unless you buy something on sale. The prices are astronomical. Limited inventory as well. Alot less then shursave . Most of the people who work here are very nice, except for one cashier who is always carrying on. They sanitize the carts and the store is clean. I only come here to get a few things because the location is convenient.

Somehow this place is worse than the Shursave, which i didnt think was possible. Almost every single spice in the spice rack section was out of stock, the few bags of potatoes they had were half spoiled and they were playing what sounded like Dave Matthews on the PA. At least shursave gave you good music while you bought outdated food. Also its way more expensive, a roll of off brand paper towels should not be over 3 dollars.

Went to the deli department asked for a lb of shaved turkey was asked by the clerk is that the turkey thats on sale. Finally i get in the check out line the cashier wanted to know the cucumber that i bought was it a cucumber. Never again will i go there

Bought a pizza lunchable today (10/23/20) and it’s expired the date on the lunchable expired on 9/27/20 . I called to let them know and all they did was offer me a refund but I did not have a receipt . They said there was nothing they can do for me . I will be turning them into the health department

Very poor selection and service. Mostly young kids as cashiers who dont know and/or dont care about what theyre doing.

Its got a good selection.

Sort of a cross between aldi and giant eagle. A small store, larger than aldi, but much smaller than a giant eagle. The products are put on the shelves in the cartons, but at least they have brand name products, unlike aldi. The place needs to be updated and cleaned. It feels old and dirty. Has potential. Maybe a new coat of paint would help.
