I’ve been at Hollis & Germann several times over the past few weeks for things my grandson needed for his trombone. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and I’m happy to be able to support a local business!Lucky for us, this wonderful resource is here in our community. I am very impressed with Hollis and Germann. My sons cello was in for repair. I called at 9:30 on a Monday to check on it. He had orchestra class at 11 that day. The man I talked to was so friendly and helpful. He called the repair shop, picked it up, and had it delivered to my sons school before his 11am class. Amazing customer service.

I had two clarinets services by Don and his team and the instruments are playing better than they ever have. I appreciate their professionalism and the high quality of their repair work. Will be the only place that I use in the Pittsburgh area!

Beautiful job reconditioning a Series 1 King Super 20 Alto Saxophone. Probably plays better than new at this point. Great work; priced right for the value. Excellent communication in the process. Highly recommend this shop!

Weve rented all of my daughters instruments for school from this place. They are always professional and helpful. I also think the rental prices arent bad.

Just had a vintage Conn curved soprano saxophone reconditioned. It wasbeautiful when they were finished. I have had several saxophones tuned and repaired at Hollis & Germann and they have always done an excellent job. Best Ive found.

I had them clean up my 1910 King Model 3 medium bore trombone. Ive owned it for 34 years, and Ive never seen it look so great. I am very happy with the job they did. I would think its difficult to get the matte silver plating to look good, but the whole horn looks like brand new. I will definitely go back when I need repair or clean up service.

Excellent repair shop, the best in my opinion and the only place I fully trust to set up my horn correctly. Felt like a new horn when I got it back. Reasonably priced and they understand where you are coming from as a player and do their best to get the instrument back to you when you need it for a gig.

I paid for a clarinet to be fixed here over a year ago and never got it back ww have called them and no awnser, im very disappointed with this store and i would like my instrument backk now.

Best place in Pittsburgh for repair and service work for woodwind instruments. We drive one hour+ to have saxophones serviced. We have purchased several instruments from them. The latest is a Soprano saxophone.

My son recently needed to have his trumpet repaired. Hollis and Germann came up in a Google search and Im so glad that we found this place. His trumpet works better than ever and the repair cost was beyond reasonable. Everyone that we talked to in the shop was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for all of our instrument needs. I couldnt be more pleased!

We recently took my daughters flute in for repair, and it came back sounding better than it ever has! And it was easier to put together, too. They did a fantastic job with it - and quickly! Josh was also extremely helpful (without being in the way) while my daughter tried out various flutes for an upgrade. Its really only a fluke we didnt end up with an Azumi 3000, since they are the best sounding new flute in that price range.We will definitely be bringing her flutes/piccolo back for any needed adjustments and highly recommend trying out their stock if youre in the market for a new (to you) instrument. As I said, the Azumi 3000 is amazing, and they also have many great used instruments available in various price ranges.As far as prices are concerned, the repair was extremely reasonable, and the prices on the instruments my daughter tried were very much in line with the lowest internet prices I found. I would much rather purchase the exact instrument that was tested than get one shipped from a shelf somewhere.
