I went in today looking for special bolts and lock nuts. Most of the employees normally offer help without asking. This time, things were different. I asked one man for help, showed him the type of bolt I needed and asked him if they had it. He looked at it, said yes and turned around. Within a couple of minutes a young girl shows up at the same hardware aisle. Well, this time an elder guy quickly shows up and starts offering help. He was at least 10 minutes answering all her questions. Another elder guy shows up and stands by the girl and starts offering more help. I just looked at the three of them and said to myself: Next time I will be wearing a skirt.

Found a helpful employee who helped us find exactly what we were looking at a good price and were checked out by a very pleasant lady... all together great experience.

Great Store!I’m new to the area and had to buy landscaping power equipment. Their Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They also have a very good reputation for servicing the equipment you buy from them as well! I also used their rental dept. I needed a “Log Splitter”...it was in great shape and rental process was a breeze! I will definitely be a long time customer!

I worked at this spot for a min. Mechanic welder. Its a shame some people shouldnt be given thier parents companies. And some people shouldnt be put in management positions. When a MANAGER yells and cusses at customers. And you have two mechanics carrying the repair and rental departments......well in my book thats just bad business practice. I pride myself on the skills I have fine tuned over the years and the repairs/fabrications I provided for customers Its damn hard to keep a positive attitude burning yourself out for $15 an HR and Ill never do it again.Forgive the rant but F this place.

Loved this store. Bought lot of stuff with great service and very helpful staff. Unfortunately went there today and no staff were wearing masks. Guess they dont care about my health or Public Health guidelines. We all need to do things we dont like or agree with for the collective good i.e. traffic laws.

I bought a stihl chainsaw here yesterday at a great price. They even filled it with gas and oil and started it to make sure everything was okay. After using it for the day, I talked to the service manager and told him how happy I was. He was extremely helpful with maintenance tips!

This is an excellent hardware store, with friendly helpful people and a good place to shop.It is not a good place to have lawn equipment repaired. I purchased a John Deer mower from Home Depot that has been set up by True Value and for the first year struggled starting it. I eventually discovered that the battery was undersized and the terminals had never been properly tightened.Last summer it took five weeks to get a drive belt replaced, and it cost a lot more money than I’d ever have guessed. The mower broke down yesterday and again, it’s four weeks before they can look at it. I contacted Sears Home Service this morning. They came this afternoon and fixed the mower at a very reasonable price. Admittedly, the same day service was a lucky fluke but the moral of the story is that you don’t have to be stuck in lawn mower purgatory for a month. Call Sears.

I have always had good, friendly service from the employees here. The store has had everything I have looked for. When I was trying to match paint to the color of a plastic shampoo bottle because that was the exact shade I wanted, the gentleman helping me was professional and patient. I was so delighted with our results I called to let him know just how perfect it was. For more than 20 years, I have been pleased to call True Value on Mo. Flat Rd. my favorite hardware store.

I went into my locally owned True Value, and asked if they would special order some Palm Tree fertilizer for a client of mine and they said it would arrive at the store in on Thursday... I went in at closing time to grab it and they could not find it, although it looked like it had come on the truck, so I came in the next day and spoke to Jennifer whom does the special orders and again they had just about every employee in the store looking because they understood I had a deadline on the project, so where other store and employees would have passed the buck and stop looking, they tore that place apart looking for about 30 minutes and they were profusely apologizing for the inconvenience... And at last they found it and I was happily on my way... Had I go to the Depot or Lowes I am sure the employees would have long given up and said it didnt come in on the truck and you have to come back Monday... Thank god for small business owner and their wonderfully dedicated staff that gives you two courteous and professional assistance... Thank you to Jennifer and the rest of the staff for going above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed, not a buck of BS excuses like other corporate stores... Five star service and competitive prices... :)

My 40 ft rv broke down and I lost my brakes ....luckily I was across the street form this true value. I had ran out of,money and they put a generator and a compressor in the back of one of there service trucks and helped me get the rig to the repair shop free of charge. ..these guys are the best and so kind I am so grateful for all there help you guys have a great crew!!!!
