I want to start off by saying I have never purchased a bed brand new before in my life. This store was the first one I visited and Im glad I did. I was greeted very warmly upon entering the store. I explained my situation to the associate with my sleeping issues, pain involved with my current bed, and my need to find a better solution for better quality of sleep and life. Associate walked me thru and showed me 4 or 5 different models to get a better idea of what might fit my needs. He explained everything about the beds and had me try them to get a better feel for what would work for me. He was very knowledgeable and helped me gain a better understanding of how bed technology has come along. We finally came to a bed that was perfect for me and what I needed. I was super happy in how they worked with me in order to get me that bed on same day (which was on a Sunday). They went above and beyond what was necessary to help me out in that regard. The overall experience was absolutely excellent. One week later I do not regret anything about my decision to shop at this store because I have never slept better in my life! American Mattress in Plainfield made this possible and I thank them for everything from bottom of my heart ❤

The futon frame I bought was defective. I bought the floor model and they had all the bolts and hardware mismatched so I had to buy new hardware upon this discovery in order to get the frame to operate. The salesman I had didn’t wear a mask and was also trying to make a sale to an elderly woman. . The other salesman seemed much better. Bottom line..I need 2 new queen mattresses but will absolutely go somewhere else.

Really poor shopping experience. Sales lady was extremely timid, soft spoken, no smiles, didnt even greet us upon entering the store. Trying to get details and specs about the products were like pulling teeth. She acted irritated that we cared so much about edge support (if the gentleman that we are buying the mattress for cant get in and out of bed due to lack of edge support, it really doesnt matter how comfortable the mattress is or not). When we are willing to spend up to 4K on a mattress, I would think the salesperson would be more inclined to make an effort. Really, any effort at all would have been an improvement. We took our business elsewhere and wont be back. Zero stars.

The man that helped us was nice. However, when we walked in we were not asked what our price range was or what we were looking for. He told us to start laying on beds that were WAY out of our price range before asking us what our limit was. Typical sales tactic. After telling him our price range he gave us a few options and offered great deals. However, none of the beds compared to other local mattress stores even though they say “you won’t find a better deal”.

A huge thanks to Cynthia from American Mattress for helping my husband and I find a mattress. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient with us as we weren’t entirely sure what we were looking for. In the end a great deal with delivery on a holiday! Great experience!

Highly recommend! Cynthia patiently helped us pick out a king size mattress within our budget and was very knowledgeable when answering all our questions. We also had a very limited timeframe to accept shipping and she found out a way to get our mattress shipped to us the exact day we needed. Will definitely be shopping here again for future mattress needs.

Glad I decided to come here after shopping at another store. Doug really knew his stuff and helped me select the right bed! With the mattress, 2 pillows, frame, mattress/pillow protectors, delivery and setup, AND removal of my 16 year old mattress; they came in under what the other place was quoting me for a similar mattress ONLY. Doug was so helpful. I bought 2 twin mattresses and box springs. I thought it would be a long shot to have them delivered the next day, but Doug called around to other stores, found everything I needed and was able to figure out getting it delivered the next day.

Other than coming a day early, the guys were very good at the delivery. They got the mistress installed and they got rid of the old one. Slept very well.

We came to american mattress after looking at 2 different locations in avon. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door by Doug. We told him what we were looking for and he showed us where to begin. It was a great experience because he left us alone to look and try out the beds and just let us know that he was there if we had any questions. It was unlike any other experience when dealing with salesmen. After we thought that we had our minds made up, he recommended us to try another bed that was similar, but cheaper. No salesman tries to talk you into saving money, but Doug did. We were able to get everything we wanted and more. We were able to get a king size mattress with an adjustable foundation for the same price as we were going to spend on the equivalent in a queen size with the other brand. Thanks Doug and american mattress for looking out for your customers without sacrificing quality. We will definately be back when we are ready for new mattresses in the future.

Where to start! If you are in the market for a new mattress, you HAVE to go see Doug Stone at American Mattress in Plainfield, Indiana!!!! From the minute my husband and I walked in, he listened to our needs/concerns and put us on a few mattresses that would have worked for us. We ended up going high end and bought a Tempur-pedic king split. He threw in a couple of extras which was not at all necessary, but very much appreciated!!! Doug was SO attentive and did not try to upsell like most places these days. He treats you like you are the only customer in the world. Very personalized service and is UPFRONT AND HONEST.....very rare in this day and age with some sales people. Hes SO friendly, outgoing and engaging....he actually makes shopping for a mattress enjoyable!!! A BIG, BIG THANK YOU TO DOUG STONE for the BEST service weve had in quite some time!!!!! Doug you are awesome and dont let anyone tell you different!!!!!!! If we know of anyone in the market for a mattress, we are sending them your way for sure!!!!!!

Came in and the gentleman at the store didnt even bother to stand up from his chair to receive me. Asked what my price range eas at and just told me that they couldnt do it and didnt even tried to show me something else. Worst person to work selling stuff. Probably never coming back!

Purchased a split king tempur pedic and were told if we didnt like it coukd return or exchange it within 99 days. After 2 weeks decided we didnt like the all of so went to get regular king and at first said we couldnt becausr its less expensive and they have z no refund policy. Finally settled on it. When second o e was delivered the cover was filthy. NOT what you expect when you spend $7,000 On a mattress
