Doesnt look like much from the outside, but the food is fine! Easy to read menu - serving only breakfast and lunch - with good portion sizes for a very reasonable tariff. Expect your order to take around 15 minutes - but worth the wait.

A very popular place for locals, Day Break Diner served me a delicious breakfast. While I found seating at the breakfast bar, I noticed a few people had to wait for seating. The coffee was also delicious. There isnt any parking on the road so I parked across the street at the grocery store.

We discovered DayBreaks Diner and been eating breakfast there every week for about a month. We have 2 small children and they are messy eaters. We usually clean up our mess as best we can even sweeping up our own mess with the broom and dustpan they leave by our table. Today we struggled with the kids and on our way out the door one of the owners told us to clean our mess or don’t come back telling us that her waitresses aren’t there to clean up after our children. Had she asked us nicely to clean up we would have obliged however she was very rude to my wife and literally told us to not come back so we left the mess and will not be supporting this diner any longer.

July 4th 2021 came here for a second time. Just as good as the first!

Came here for the very first time with my husband and Im so glad we did. I got the little breakfast which isnt so little. It came with coffee, juice, home fries, eggs, bread, bacon, sausages, and your choice of pancake or French toast I got the pancake. I have to say the breakfast was phenomenal the pancake was big and the fluffiest pancake Ive ever had. The breakfast was $10 and the service was great. I highly recommend this place.

Good diner with a nice selection. Though they didnt have any eggs Benedict dishes listed which is always my go to dish. I settled for the biscuits and gravy which came out very tasty but seemed a tad small on the portion size. They take credit and you pay at the front not at the table. Parking is behind the building, look for the sign. Great place for early breakfast or lunch

The food was good but our waitress was miserable. It was a little busy at the time we went but it was manageable. I think she didnt want to be there and it showed. If she didnt like her job then maybe she should go elsewhere. The perception we got was that. Be more pleasant.

Grade A breakfast spot. The best fluffiest pancakes you could ever want and they are massive. A short stack is like 2 full stacks at most places. They have literally restored faith in my father who has had bad experiences with pancakes at The Shack and Uncasville Diner. I love the owners and staff and I am glad it is so close to where I live. The environment is always feeling of hometown diner experience. The owners, staff and patrons are always friendly and super accommodating. I try to make it a point to go every Saturday morning to enjoy a wonderful breakfast no matter what I order.

This is a great local breakfast place. I personally love their french toast and the Spanish omelet. Its also one of the only places around that makes real home fries. Theres always service with a smile.

Have been going here for years and loved it until today. Went there for breakfast with my husband and baby who is under a year old. Waitress was miserable and unfriendly. Clearly not a kid person. My baby who sat table side with us in a booster made the typical mess with his food, as he is still very young and learning. We had finished our food, paid, left tip and about walking out the door when the owner stopped us and asked my husband to clean up the mess. Handed my husband a broom and stood there and watched my husband clean it up. Now we have been out to eat many places with our son and never once has anyone done that or treated us with such disrespect. Totally out of line and totally uncalled for. We will never go there again. Would not recommend that anyone with young kids do either. Did not make us feel welcome at all. Shameful.

Ive been coming here for years! This is a fantastic family oriented diner, with amazing food. The prices are equally as great as the service and food. The owners and waitresses are all spectacular, friendly, and great at their jobs. Its also very nice to see the husband and wife owners working just as hard as their employees. All around great place!!!

What an awesome place for breakfast. I always get an egg white omelette. I dont know how they make their eggs so light and fluffy. Fantastic! It is definitely one of our favorite places to have breakfast.

Good combo choices-little breakfast was perfect size with eggs, toast, home fries, french toast, bacon, sausage, coffee and juice! Food came out fast, was good too. Prices pretty fair. Relaxed, full but not too crowded, easy to find, plenty of parking. :)

Great atmosphere of home family dining

On a short trip we were looking for just a nice diner to get a quick bite. We were recommended to this place by a local and it did not let us down. They had great diner food, fresh made and very delicious.

When my table received our bottle of syrup we all came a conclusion that it was probably the cleanest bottle of syrup we had ever seen in our lives. Also, the food was decent. Not the best absolute best but pretty good nonetheless

This is my weekend breakfast spot! Food is always great, prices are always fair. Be aware they are just about always busy but they do have counter seating available if youre a single diner or couple that doesnt need your own table.

This is the little hole in the wall you want to go to. Plain exterior matches the interior that has a subtle qaintness. Typical run of the mill diner we stopped at on the return trip from Foxwoods. Really good food at a good price. Sausage gravy... Yum
