This is a very conveniently located restaurant on the university avenue just out the Windsor City Centre but still walkable. Place had a nice parking area and enough seating space. Very nice booths to sit in and enjoy the meal. We ordered the omelette with potatoes and toast, and egg Benedict. Both the dishes were very well cooked and severs brought in coffee to go with it. Overall good experience. Thanks to the amazing ladies who took care of our order and checked up on regularly.
Nice needed breakfast place at this side of town with very friendly staff and a lovely ambience which is definitely an upgrade from Skippys which used to be here before. I hope they can match up to the great food though. Just tried them once and a bit disappointed with the food but there is scope for improvement. Would like to try again, as they just opened and deserve another chance.Went there again and this time the experience was not so good, did not just get my order late but also it was incorrect and incomplete . (2 eggs instead of three with no bread and the pancakes were without syrup.)Which i noticed once i was back home. Also their homefries are terrible, they are undercooked and oily . They need to figure stuff out soon.
Great service and affordable price. Great renos. Bacon is halal so if youre looking for regular bacon I dont recommend it unless youre Muslim. Its not the same as regular bacon.
Food was amazing! The only diner to serve halal traditional breakfast in the city. Staff was very kind and helpful; they constantly checked to see if everything was good. The owner, Ahmad, is very professional and values his customers opinions. Definitely will be back to get the Greek Omelette again!

Waited almost half an hour for a simple breakfast, and clubhouse. The owner was very unprofessional walking around talking loudly on his cellphone. The coffee that was served to us came cold, asked for a new coffee and it never came. When it came time to pay he made us pay for the coffee anyway. Not coming back terrible service.

It was a nice friendly place the food was fairly good. The eggs were runny like they came from a box. The flavor of the eggs was sub par. My daughter also decided to try the marshmallows dipped in chocolate. The chocolate was terrible and clearly was cooked at to high of a temperature so all you could taste was burnt chocolate. Would I go again probably, I just wouldnt eat the eggs or chocolate fondue.
Was working in the area and decided to order the Eggs Benedict.. Turns out this place has the worse one Ive ever ordered.Looked disgusting and tasted disgusting 👍 Great job guys!!!They didnt even toast the English muffin..

I went there with my coworkers for breakfast on there 2nd day open. The new owners did a great job renovating the old Skippeys . You would not even recognize it. The breakfast was good. The waitress and the owner were very friendly. However and this is in no way the fault of the owner or waitress. There was another older man in the restaurant who was extremely ignorant to the waitress and also in need of training on COVID restaurant protocols. To that man put your mask on when you get up from your table. You may not care but the rest of us do! To the new owners nice job and best wishes. I hope to go again soon.
Best place for Sunday Breakfast.This is our first time going their. And it was the perfect choice. Their buffet has so many options, several bacon, egg assortment, make your omelette, Turkey bacon, dessert, chocolate fondue fountain, and more. Large spaces and skylight space, comfy tables better than the squeezed ones in other restaurants. Windsor you got my go to place. They have large free parking.

Food was fast, and good. Didnt spend long waiting until we had our coffee and our food. Plates were hot. The waitress was extremely nice, and she communicated well with children. She brought out a box of toys for the kids when they were done eating. It wasnt expensive either.
One of the best places for buffet breakfast with family. I liked the clean buffet area and the delicious foods. Also, there was an attendant standing continuously in the buffet area who was really willing to help and determining our needs. Will definitely go there again.

All-you-can-eat has solid variety and great value. During the week they run a cheaper rate and its 200% worth it. Supposedly more expensive on the weekend but with even more options. Pretty much everything was cooked perfectly, especially the bacon. Service was friendly and personable. Clean with a hometown diner-type atmosphere.
They are so humble and welcoming. They create a home like ambience and their pancakes and scrambled eggs are really scrumptious. Love it. Thank you 😊❤️

The staff is fast, friendly, the GM Ahmed was present on my July 1st 2019 visit. Cleanliness was spotless throughout the restaurant and bathroom. Food is fresh, tasty and delicious. (Best baked beans so far) Offers 7 days per week breakfast buffet at a reasonable price. I will be a returning customer. Thanks Ahmed! Doing an excellent job.
Cant say anything negative about Rise N Shine ! Before I vould even get halfway through my coffee, our food was already ready. And our waitress was so good with my 2 year old daughter and she even got a toy to take home after from the restaurant. Food was excellent and good value.
Me and my family have been going here for many years. About 10 to 15. The name of the company has changed before but the people who work there the location hasnt, and its offers never change. This is a place to grab breakfast or any meal and they offer a breakfast buffet until 1 pm. Great nook. Great lighting and location. Great staff. Also amazing food. Prices are very reasonable.

Great place for breakfast in Windsor. Service was excellent and the place is very clean. I had the Benedict Country Style. (Eggs Benedict with French toast). It was tasty and very filling. Next time I would ask for no powdered sugar on the French toast, but that is just my personal preference - just a little too sweet for me. We would have liked to have the breakfast buffet, but we should have checked the hours first since they stopped the buffet about an hour before we came in. Ill definitely double check the buffet hours next time, although their regular menu is very good, too.

Over priced. 4 omelettes ordered in our group and no one enjoyed them. The server was very nice and quite attentive but it did not make up for the food.

Wait staff is polite and friendly, food is on and off sometimes good sometimes not. unfortunately the owners that run it are getting greedy charging to much for buffet and now charging children under 2yrs of age really? Its Ridiculous. The management/owners are rude and do not treat customers with respect. Was going here for awhile until I heard they charging for small children and was seated ordered my meal and manager/owner asked me and my baby to move because ladies in other room needed privacy. I was appalled and will never return and give them a dime of my hard earned money

I enjoyed Rise N Shine today for Christmas Brunch. I tried their scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, eggs benedict, omelette station, corned beef hash, home fries, baked beans, taters, french toast, Belgian waffle, and pancakes. All were spectacular. My favorites were the omelette station, the corned beef hash, and the homefries. Their scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious, they had a fondue fountain and marshmallows, I didnt try that. I did eat some of the fresh fruit, though.I found their service to be quick and courteous. I never had an empty drink for long, empty plates were removed promptly. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere is homely. The buffet was being refilled very regularly and the kitchen staff were clearly paying a lot of attention to the buffet. Whether it be stocking the plates and food or cleaning the area.Most importantly, the kids loved it. Even before they were given a toy at the end. This was our first time visiting Rise N Shine and we look forward to returning for another holiday buffet in the future.
Service was excellent but we had the buffet and it was nothing special. Equivalent to an American hotel breakfast. Chocolate fountain wasnt running, crepes were cold, many plates were covered with plastic wrap. They had an eggs made to order station but they didnt tell you it was there and no one was standing at it.
Was fast service, tasted exquisite and was very clean. Our waitress made sure my boyfriend and I were well taken care of. Excellent place for a morning date!

Food was pretty basic. Not a ton of flavour. Waitress didnt smile, just got her job done. But I get it, working in customer service is tough when so many customers treat the servers like garbage. The buffet seems to be the way to go

My husband loves to go here for the buffet after his chemo treatments. The food in the buffet is always the same. It is good, I just wish they would change it up a bit but my husband likes it so Im not complaining.lol
The buffet food is low quality. Scrambled eggs are clearly boiled in a bag, everything is really greasy and/or just cheap. Not worth the $16.00 buffet. Friendly staff and the place itself was clean, but the experience was undercut by bad food and coffee.

I came for breakfast, and saw they had a buffet. Being in a bit of a rush, I went for it. The buffet was about what you might expect from a Comfort Inns continental breakfast buffet. The foods available were hit or miss. Bacon, waffles, and baked beans were good, but it just wasnt busy enough for the homefries or eggs to be fresh, and some of the desserts were just not good at all. Its alright for $10, but not a place Id go out of my way to visit.

Great location and environment, the staff are fantastic but 2 adults and 2 children (5 and 10) costed $20 in drinks ..unfortunately with changes in min wage i hope this is not the standard and small establishments dont over compensate, paying $75 + for a buffet regardless of the variety will keep us at home. Good value for the buffet, but its pretty standard. Its going to be good but youre not going to rave to friends and family they have to try it out. Lots of selection, but for example the desserts in the buffet are just things they picked up at zehrs; like 2 bite brownies, the little tarts, macaroons likely from costco. Id go back though.

Thought to try it again and wish we didnt. Party of 3 and 2 of us were unhappy. One didnt get the home fries and the other the pancake was burnt. They brought out another one and it wasnt much better. Bacon was way to well done. Not sure we will go back.
