I brought in a vintage electric bass guitar with a special scale to be set up and he did great work. The guitar hadnt been set up professionaly in forever, just me tinkering with it but he got the action and intonation just right. I was also expecting to pay more, very reasonably priced.

This is by far the best place to get “ previously loved” musical equipment in the Indy area. The staff is very knowledgeable and patient. You will definitely save a lot of money on quality gear if you shop at this place!

Crowded isles, stacks of clutter, dust and disorganization. All signs customers come first. Despite all the so called mess, I really like this place. The folks whom run the counter are down home, quick with some whitt and maybe a touch of sarcasm, my kind of people. I cant comment on prices for the equipment, I brought my own, but the prices have been reasonable for books, lessons, and such.

This is one of my favorite places on this planet. They’ve always welcomed me and my kids w open arms. This is a Mecca of great gear. You owe it to yourself to pop in.

6 Strings Down is THE PLACE to go if you are wanting to purchase a guitar are any guitar accessories. The owner is very knowledgeable regarding the makes, the models and even the history of both sick strings and bass guitars. A nice selection of equipment both used and new. Theres always something interesting on the floor, the shelves or hanging on the wall. It is a musicians dream.

These dudes know whats up. Theyll greet you with a smile, tell you exactly what you need to know even look it up if they dont know themselves. After all of that great customer service theyll still charge you a great price. 10/10

This place is great. Its what a guitar shop should be. Its not a over lit over crowded monument to junk equipment with teenagers running around in garage shirts. Dave the owner, is very knowledgeable, very helpful and just a flat out cool guy. Lots of cool vintage stuff in there and some good things to look at if youre just getting started. Ive been going there since it opened and I dont live close anymore but I try to stop in everyonce in a while just to pick around and pick up some strings. Go check it out. Great place!!

This is the only guitar shop that I have ever found that will give you a fair price for your trade. They price their used equipment as it should be. The place may be cluttered but usually has a great selection of older and vintage guitars and not junk.And if youre a gear head like me you understand the mom and pop feel of the store and the clutter.

There is no other guitar store with the level of service, sales, and commitment to the customers experience. My son, age 8, is welcomed and treated like a ling time customer just as I am, 34. We have been going for months to weekly lessons and watch the hundreds of guitars, amps, accessories be sold, traded and repaired. Each customer is treated like a long tine friend.In reponse to the clutter comment, a store that takes in, repairs and sells dozens of guitars a week has to be a flowing organization. You say cluttered, I see 19 years of business. Sit a spell and have a conversation with Dave or Ralph or one of the other customers.Fair prices, great service and honest people. I have watched as many people get talked down from the expensive stuff as they have upsold. They are ready to make a life long customer not one sale and done.Great at picking out your firat guitar and ready with your 21st. $100-thousandsMake sure you ask about lessons as we can alm get better.
