This was my first time at an ophthalmologist and may I say I was extremely satisfied. Dr Wiesenthal knows his stuff! His wife is super sweet and caring. She takes her time to ensure that you look and feel fabulous. I am very thankful I found this office.

Dr. Martin and Ely Wiesenthal have always treated me like family. I really miss the hugs with this covid thing going on. The Doctor has always provided thorough exams that produce the most accurate prescriptions with “dead on” optical centers, something the optical chain stores cannot always do. Do your new glasses make you feel like you are looking at the world from inside a fishbowl? The chain store will say “You will get used to them” (True story). Dr. Wiesenthal has been making my eyeglasses for over 25 years and will make them for another 25 (if I am still above ground). Dr. Wisenthal and Eli are incredible. Always there when you need them, they arranged a time slot so I could come in and have my eyes examined by opening up early on a Friday morning. Greeting me with a smile, Dr. Wisenthal always patient and very informative with a thorough exam making me feel comfortable. A few days later I had to return, the magnetic clip on failed they again greeted me with a smile. With no questions they ordered a new frame and replaced the faulty one. Just wanted to say thank you both to Dr. Wisenthal and Eli for being so wonderful.

A few years ago while living in Broward County I stopped in to Wise Eyes Optical & Vision Center for an eye exam. I ended up loving the selection of eye wear, and more importantly, the efficiency and professionalism of this office. Dr.Wiesenthal and his staff are genuinely happy to see their clients and excited to help them find a look they like. Im a school teacher with a limited budget. Theyre not at all rushed or pushy. Appointments are on time and so pleasant. For a small place, it has a BIG presence. I moved to Jupiter last year, but recently returned to update my prescription. Why? Because I get a 1x a year birthday card from Wise Eyes! Not constant announcements or junk or promotions. Thank you, Dr.Wiesenthal and staff. I wish you the best always!

I wasnt happy with my last eye doctor and decided to try Wise Eyes . The doctor was great, very nice and straightfoward, and his wife is a sweetheart. They have a good selection of glasses and it is clean and quiet. They had the appointments spaced out enough so that I was the only person in the office and they followed COVID guidelines.

I just got my 2nd pair of glasses from Wise Eyes today. It was easy to make my appointment and the store has a large selection of frames to choose from. He offered me a fair discount as I dont have vision coverage, and even better, he made my glasses in 10 minutes while I waited so I didnt have to go back and pick them up. I go back 20 years with Dr Wiesenthal. He once was closed and I needed an emergency progressive eyeglass before his return and I used someone else that was recommended OMG I had to go back 5 times as the prescription gave me vertigo and the frames kept breaking. Finally they just refunded the money. Dr Wiesenthal is not only precise at what he does but he is a very good hearted nice person. During this Health Crisis I am on leave of absence from my job. An old prescription pair fell on the floor and my frame broke. I was extremely anxious at seeing an eye doctor for a new prescription as well as new glasses I had no backup. I suffer from chronic severe anxiety. I called Dr Wiesenthal. He didn’t shun me off because of my anxiety. He explained how he is operating under these trying times and only seeing one person with the doors locked etc. I needed glasses I can’t live on my only pair that was now glued together ! He could tell I think during the whole process I was very uneasy but such a caring professional he never made fun of me or was condescending he kept reassuring me that his hands were sanitized all the equipment is sanitized, we both had masks. Any frames a patient touches don’t go back in his case until they are sanitized. At one point he put some eye drops in to test for glaucoma I believe and he handed me a tissue from his hand to mine and I got anxious but again he offered assurance that my hands used hand sanitizer and he did as well before handing me a tissue and calmed me down. He has a wonderful wife who is the office manager and optician and I know he doesn’t want to afflict her at home so he is also taking utmost precautions for himself and her (doctor you should wear goggles during the slit test. I want you to be safe too ) Bottom line he did another precise Eye exam and we picked out a beautiful frame and I know that no one else will ever be taking care of my eyes even during a pandemic but him. There’s a reason he has been in that same location for over 30 years !!I wrote this not only to praise the doctor who I know for 20 years but also I know many of you may be afraid during this health crisis to go through an eye exam or even to a doctor of any kind. Don’t put it off. Dr Wiesenthal is not just some big chain operation. He is the ultimate professional and he will assure you he is taking every precaution to keep you safe, him and his wife safe and your eyes healthy. If you need eye care CALL HIM !

I have been going to Wise Eyes for over 7 years. I have moved from the state and still find away to go back to this location back. The staff is absolutely wonderful and pleasant.I wear gas permeable lenses and Dr. Wiesenthal has been the only doctor that has help me see clearly with my eye condition.I had an emergency and the staff fit me in right away and I was able to order my contact and have it delivered to my home in 2 days.

The experience I had at this office was absolutely wonderful. The actual exam with Dr.Wiesenthal was the best experience Ive had with an eye specialist. He is extremely patient and caring. The manager, Ely, made an amazing special for me (because I do not have vision insurance) but she worked with me with the prices because I really needed new glasses and she was so caring and understanding with my needs! and the staff was so friendly, really made me feel at home. I was desperately searching for someone to repair my glasses after the company I purchased my glasses from (just over a year before) wouldn’t help without another exam. Had they been pleasant about it, I may have returned, but I googled and found Wise Eyes. I called and spoke with a lovely lady who promised to call me right back with an answer to my questions. She did. I was welcomed to their store and she was so pleasant I decided to go ahead and have an eye exam. The staff and doctor went way beyond my expectations with courtesy and assistance. Dr. Wiesenthal was very patient and did a very thorough exam. I’m not the easiest patient, but I had a great experience. I was ushered out to look at glasses-no pressure though, and I made a new purchase for my new lenses. Not my original plan when I made that first call, but I’ve found a new optical home!

Excellent service and caring staff. I broke my glasses and needed a new pair quickly. Dr. Wiesenthal performed my eye exam and made my glasses in 30 minutes. He also alleviated any fears about the possibility of having glaucoma when I was told by another practitioner that I would have to be tested annually. I have always had dry eyes with my contact lenses at the end of the day in the past. Ive tried many big name brands before with an array of different optometrists, and for whatever reason they just never felt right at the end of the day. Dr. Wiesenthal let me try on different types of contact lenses that fit my lifestyle and that felt comfortable on my eye. And after his extensive knowledge and great patience we found a match! His staff constantly told me that he is the top specialist in South Florida for contact lenses and I just thought that is what everyone says to reel in a customer, but IT IS TRUE! Ive very pleased with the care Ive received at Wise Eyes Optical over several years. Dr. Wiesenthal provides excellent, professional eye care and prescriptions for eye glasses and contact lenses. He also helped when I had conjunctivitis and allergy eye irritation. Ive been many times pleasantly surprised by improvements he has shown me in lenses and eye glasses from year to year. His wife Ely is terrific at picking out stylish frames for both every day wear and prescription sunglasses. Im a very near sighted person; in recent years have had to adapt to middle age changes to reading and see mid-range for computer work I do. Dr. Wiesenthal is able to make the best recommendations for all of these needs. Im very pleased he is my optometrist.

They have a big selection of frames to select from and the prices are better than most places Ive been to. The assistant at the front is very helpful too. I got my prescribed glasses the same day, literally less than an hour after my visit they call me to go pick them up. The manager is a very nice lady and also gave a great deal for being a new patient. If you need to have your eyes checked, need glasses, and you are near Plantation or South Florida, this is your place.

I have been coming to this office for 3 years now. The doctor is very rude and unprofessional. Absolute jerk. He did not care about our business and did not take the time he should have with a paying customer. I wish we would have switched doctors sooner but it was close to our house and convenient. Expensive as well. Dont waste your time like we did.
