We just bought a Chrysler 300 from Kunes in Platteville. The staff was amazing! Jason, our salesman, was so great to work with! Everyone that helped us was fantastic! I received the mailer that I (allegedly) was a WINNER of $10,000 dollars but the fine print said (as my wife expected) otherwise. So I won some bluetooth ear buds. I dont have a bluetooth device so these are utterly useless to me. But what REALLY made me BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED with whole experience at that greedy knobs didnt have a 20 foot tall INFLATABLE GORILLA hovering over the proceeding. Really now guys, if youre gonna have a shyster promotion, you gotta do it up right.Instead, Im sticking champagne with my TV dinner. AGAIN.

A few weeks ago, I purchased a new vehicle from this dealership. I felt that the customer service that was provided was terrible. The vehicle that I wanted to purchase was at this location, any other time I would have my local car dealer obtain the vehicle and I would purchase from them however, due to the times of low to no inventory I had to drive 3 hours away. My first trip out I was told by the sales associate that the vehicle was there and available for purchase I confirmed this on two different occasions before I started my drive. Once I got there, I was told that the vehicle was in transit and not at that location. They wanted me to purchase this vehicle without even seeing it and they couldnt even give me an exact time of when the vehicle would actually be there. I was told I would receive a phone call when the vehicle arrived, did that happen? Of course not. I ended up calling a few weeks later and the vehicle was miraculously there I asked again was the vehicle physically there and I was assured it was, so I drove out three to look at it. The vehicle was exactly what my wife wanted so I ended up agreeing to buy it. When the sales associate and I agreed upon a price he printed up a sales agreement with the cost of the vehicle and had me sign it before going to the finance department. Once at the finance department we were going over the purchase agreement and the numbers were not adding up. The finance guy showed me the piece of paper that I signed and what do you know “SOMEONE” added a $1500 charge that was handwritten in after I signed it. When I called the finance guy out about this charge, he contacted the manager and they quickly took it off. The Finance guy was very apologetic and said thats things like this makes him look bad, I assured him that he wasnt at fault it was just the sales team trying to pull a fast one. The $1500 charge was for “market price adjust” basically they added this charge because of their low inventory. Its pretty pathetic that they were trying to rob me out of $1500 after I already signed an agreement with the sales associate, straight up crooks. Be careful, don’t let them pull a fast one on you. I’m glad I caught it. It seems, with low inventory and the high volume of customers the attitude shifted and you the customer dont matter because someone else will be walking through the door to purchase. The market will bounce back and when it does I hope people will remember Kunes terrible service. I know i will.

When I purchased my vehicle, there was a stone chip in the windshield that was not disclosed before purchase. My insurance would not cover it and a glass repair company said they could not repair it without replacing the windshield. It took a while but Kunes did replace the windshield at no charge. Thank you Riley in service for being instrumental in getting this done.

We are beyond angry with this dealership and the customer service but dont wanna put explicit words on this review. We highly do NOT recommend this place. We made an appointment to come view a vehicle they had, not that it mattered because before we got there it was sold. We drove an hour and a half specifically to get this vehicle. Had they let us know it sold we would not have wasted our time. When we talked to the manager regarding it he could have cared less and said there was nothing he could do about it. We have been looking for this specific vehicle/pricing for over a year now and were intending on purchasing it. We might would have considered looking at other vehicles had there been a little consideration of our time and some customer service. I guess thats how they do business . 👎👎👎

Bait & switch. On a Monday, we went to the dealership and told the salesman roughly what we were locking for. I ended up test driving a Kia Sportage SX and absolutely loved it. They even agreed to drop to the price to our budget of 23K. I filled out all of the paperwork but had to leave for a little bit. Once My husband and I came back to leave with the car, we were greeted with the fact that the price we were told was for a different trim type. The car that was 23K was bare bones and had none of the features that made me want the other type. The price difference was $2,447, but we were then told that the price difference was $4,000 more. So which is it?On Tuesday the dealer contacted us and said they could come down to 25K and that was out the door, tax, title, license, everything included. We finally decided on Thursday that we would bite the bullet and could go up to to just under the out the door price. Once they crunched the numbers the price magically went up to over 28K, over 3K more than what we were told 2 days prior.First they lied about the car I thought I was buying, then we were told multiple differences in prices. This right here is why car salesman have such a bad rap. I wish they would understand that treating people fairly and not ALWAYS lying would go so much further than the above mentioned tactics. If you go here, do not believe what the price is that they tell, cause it is more than likely going to change, even after you sign the papers for the car.

They sent out mailers saying you could win $10000, I got a winning card saying I won that money (had the matching red cars on the mailer that said I won the cash prize of $10000). When I got there they said it was actually a raffle, put in my number and won EarPods. The EarPods are worth $10 at Walmart. False advertising, please stop doing that mailer if you are going to lie to people.

I found a used vehicle online that didnt seem to be selling when I first contacted this dealer. Immediately they tried to get me to put a $500 deposit without even seeing the truck in person. I asked if it was refundable and I was assured it was but they refused to give that to me in writing. A few weeks went by and the truck had not sold and to my surprise the price was raised by $2000. I asked if they would honor their old price which I took pictures of and they reluctantly said that was fine. There was still something off-putting about the sales tactics and the truck itself.The first thing said to us was, Are you mask people? As we walked in. Looking around there were no employees wearing masks and even a GM coughing up a storm. Theres a deadly disease spreading around, call in sick. We got strange looks for having masks on and maybe its just a norm in the middle of nowhere. Cant say Im surprised rural America is suffering so much after seeing the mentality of this depressing town.Anyway, I test drove the truck. Exterior was worse than explained over the phone but the big red flag was the engine. The oil had a nice milky mixture of water in it and the exhaust smelled sweet which I diagnosed as a head gasket issue. I tried to bring that to the salesmans attention but he completely ignored me and said that he was firm on the price. I offered $500 less than asking price, cash, and he said no. Fine, I left. Driving out of the lot he flagged me down and agreed to $500 off asking price. I confirmed with him that would be the out-the-door price and he affirmed it. About an hour later a bill of sale was handed to me with $500 off the asking price and a $499 service fee for paperwork added. This isnt Florida and service fees are not required. The finance persons argument was that he paid service fees when he bought his vehicles. Good argument... I walked out without a truck that day and somehow without coronavirus. If you go there looking for a truck, look out for the mouth-breathing covidiots and especially look out for a 2008 Ram 2500; if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Would not recommend going to this place. We made a 3+ hour drive to look at a truck and over the phone talked about a trade in value and said would prolly go up when they see it. I did lots of research on our truck and with all the add ons and no truck within 200 miles could touch it. So we make the drive look at the truck we wanted he told us to for for a quick drive because they have a meeting they all have to goto which seemed odd to have a meeting while there is customers in the building. So we go for the test drive and come back and go inside and they are still in the meeting as we can see from the big windows for the office. So we walk around a bit then sit down and finally they come out and he tells us that they all got a “ass chewing” which is honest but not professional. So he asks if we want the truck and we said yes long as we can agree on numbers so they look at our truck and they came back and said we can give what they said on the phone. And when I asked for more he said no way your truck will go for that high and the b.s story he told me I threw back and so your telling me the asking price on the truck we’re buying isn’t going to sell for?? So how bout you come down and again he said no way. Be noted the salesman we talked with was Jackson and got very aggressive from the start of the negotiation. I asked for 2k more then there offer which was still very low for the market and they came back with 1k more which we agreed on. We had our own financing but found out we would have to drive back for a check so had them do the financing and they run our stuff and never told us we were approved we just sat there waiting. Then I notice that they switched plates over and was thinking ok?? We never seen numbers or rates or anything?? Then he swings by and tells us someone will be over soon to do papers and said ok… and I had a few questions that he did help with them. he took the truck to get washed and we were still waiting. After what seemed to be over a hour another guy gets us and says congratulations on your new truck. We said thanks.. but what’s the damage we haven’t seen any numbers? And he shows us and let him know we have been sitting in the dark. This place seemed very unprofessional and very unorganized. I’ve been to a lot of dealers and seen a lot of tactics but here at Kunes was a terrible one. If it wasn’t that we wanted this truck we would of left. Which we almost did in the beginning of the negotiating by how rude he was being after the “ass chewing” Couldn’t help but notice the guys that are in the big window office yelling at each other almost the whole time we where there which was 9:30 am till 2pmish. Now the next day someone else calls asking how we like the truck and said good but we did notice on the drive home that the steering wheel is turned to the left just a little bit. So they say they will look into it and call back a little while later and ask us to bring it in. We asked if we can take it to a closer location because the drive alone will cost over $60 in fuel and for that we can just take it to a local shop for a alignment and they said we have to take it to the one we bought it from. Blows my mind. I have bought enough vehicles already and had dealers and used car lots work with us to fix any problems we have. Take it to a shops near us and they will cover it. Nope not Kunes. We will never recommend them to anyone nor will we ever go to them again. Very unsatisfied.

This past Monday I received a call from the dealership. The Regional General Sales Manager and I had a fruitful and positive discussion. Im happy to report that they give me satisfaction. Purchased a new Grand Cherokee. Process was easy and smooth. Found Kunes through auto trader as I had done all the research and knew the exact vehicle and options I wanted. I had been price shopping with different dealers for 2 weeks and had been close to the deal I wanted a couple times. UPDATE: Kunes did right by me! They drove the car and were able to replicate the issue. Some was wearable. I will gladly pay for the repair. The other part was a warranty issue, and even though they did not have the original paperwork they volunteered to call the warranty company, who told them that part was covered with a $100 deductible on a $1500 replacement. I feel like I am getting some peace of mind they promised when I purchased. They were very polite and listened to my concerns. This gave me confidence in my safety and that of my family who ride with me. I will reconsider a future purchase.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Mixed feelings. Very friendly and polite staff during oil changes, as well as during my purchase when they were Ubersox. However I was just told when I asked about my warranty (spent $2500 on warranty and extended service agreement when I purchased while Ubersox) I was told all of the records were “lost” when Kunes bought Ubersox. That is VERY concerning. Legal contracts all just DISAPPEARED? I have my copy and am taking it in Monday. I had a repair done at a fair price and again, staff very polite which I really do appreciate, but I have had issues with the car since. I don’t live in Platteville and I have a tight schedule and it is very challenging to be there when they are available. I have to accommodate their schedule. So I am likely going to eat another cost. The young lady said she’s not eating the cost and not having her guys get paid. Lesson learned. But I won’t purchase my next vehicle there. “Eating the cost” of the correction is much cheaper than eating the cost of my $20 some thousand dollar purchase I may make elsewhere.

Absolutely garbage. My husband and I went to get a vehicle today and were incredibly disappointed. Thankfully my husband is mechanically inclined because the first car Jason brought out was a Nissan Rogue and it had obvious head gasket issues. Second try we were brought a Kia Optima and again, obvious head gasket issue. By this point we started to get frustrated, but we decided to give them one more try to bring us out a decent vehicle. Third try was a Dodge Journey, all it took was my husband climbing in the drivers seat and try to put it in gear for us to learn that the transmission was trash. For 15 to 20k for a used car i expected better. At that point we just had to walk away. I would suggest you do too.

This place uses shady tricks to get you into the lot. We were interested in a vehicle, and called about it. We were told that it was parked out front, and we can test drive it. When we arrived at this location, The car was nowhere to be found, and the salesman (who spoke to us earlier) said the car was actually in undrivable condition and unsafe. They just lied about the car earlier to get us to go to their location and their car lot. They wanted us to look at other cars, but we thankfully declined. I do NOT recommend this dealership, and they use tricks to get you in the door to upsell you on a different vehicle. Very shady dealership.....I would give it zero stars if I could

Went to take my Jeep in to get looked at and found out that it has an oil leek. Then told that my warranty that supposedly never was suppose to expire. Well I guess it did expire when my husband and I were told when we bought it that it was lifetime warranty. We will not be going back very disappointed, and furious that we were lied to.

Very nice salesman and car selection at this location. However the car service technicians and uper management are not too good if you have to deal with them at all prior or after your car purchase. Personally I feel like the car I baught was not properly checked out for any mechanic issues prior to purchase. I was notified that the car needed an alignment prior to me agreeing to buy it but was not notified of any of the other major issues it had that I later found out about from another local mechanic in town when I went to get the alignment done.

Bought 2016 van with Full Mopar Warranty returned to have heated seat and bad door lock repaired. Door lock is consistent Mopar problem. Was told it would be 600 for seat 900 for door. No warranty coverage. Warranty cost 1000 when I bought it.

If you can go elsewhere the customer service, service and sales are all the worst I’ve ever dealt with. My wife bought a Jeep from here 2016, the sunroof stopped working after 2 years they do nothing to help, but charge you to diagnose then make unmet and promises. I was told I’d get a call and refund and blah blah blah great used car salesmen tactics and now I’m just out my money and they literally gave my vehicle back in worse condition then when I brought it in... I will avoid this place at all cost. Local service and Even oil changes are way over prices and on top of it nothing gets done in a timely matter and they do not care about customers simple as that.

My husband called to confirm that they had a specific truck in stock and also asked if they were still doing 0% interest for 72 months. After Jason confirmed both we drove the hour and a half to the dealership. Turns out we should have specified that we wanted financing on the truck we called about, as the 72 month financing apparently does not apply to the truck we wanted. That would have been nice to know before we drove out there. What a waste of time.Additionally, none of the employees were wearing masks when we arrived, despite masks being mandated in Wisconsin. Jason did put a mask on after we were visibly uncomfortable, but he was the only employee I saw wearing one.

These guys have come a long ways in the service department. I’ve had many troubles over the years with previous vehicles. I love Shimmer I rent a suv from them every other week and have for over 3 years now. I bought a new truck not long ago and I had a warranty issue with it so I thought I’d give these guys another shot even though the sales department dropped the ball on us recently so we bought the truck we wanted off the platteville lot from the Woodstock location that’s not the shops fault. This is mainly to inform those looking to purchase a FCA vehicle.I bought a brand new Jeep Cherokee from Ubersox, almost immediately I started to have electrical issues with the vehicle. I took the vehicle into Turpin in Dubuque almost a dozen times trying to get it fixed. The issue is so severe that the service manager at Turpin said (via email) “I think you want to consider the possibility that there may not be a fix for your issue or at least no way to complete the diagnosis”. In dealing with FCA corporate (Jeep’s owner) a manager said (via email) that they would buy back my vehicle if they can’t fix it. Her exact words in the email were “Yes if this next repair does not work we can look into lemon buyback options for you”. FCA reneged on this offer to purchase my vehicle back and transferred me to another manger. Other auto dealerships refuse to take the vehicle in on trade due to the extensive electrical issues, so I am stuck with this thing.

Bought a truck and had a few things negotiated in with the purchase of the truck. Had it done. And found out from a mechanic that the sales person lied to me about one of the things I had negotiated on the truck and this is very disappointing because when i contacted him about it he said its not our responsibility!!! But he completely lied about what was done on my truck.... now I dont know what Im going to do. Im going to contact my lawyer for advice.

Great service and friendly. Just purchased my 3rd truck last week from Ubersoxs. Service department and mechanics especially chuck has always been great.But salesman have been the poor part. I was with 3 salesman which wasnt happy with but finished with Derek and Curt who are the best. I actually got a call from curt 6 days later asking how truck was and if I had any questions and to remind me to bring it in to get my accessories. Curt is one of the best salesmen.

Kurt was very friendly and patient. We were very set on a specific price point and he worked very hard to get us there. He didnt get upset or frustrated while working with us which was nice as I know we were quite difficult people to deal with. This is the 3rd vehicle we have purchased from Ubersox in the last 3 years.Aaron was also very helpful. He is great at his job, quick and to the point (plus he has the comfy chairs!)
