I saw a car on their website, I emailed them BRAD BERNARD to contact me if the car was actually there or in transit, as most other places had deceived me with images of cars that they did NOT have, but hoped to have soon! September was a great month for me! I went to Garvey looking for a new reliable car, and I found just that with low mileage and great detailing job for a 2008. We were looking for a safe and reliable used car for my sons first car. Due to the pandemic the choices were pretty limited in the budget we set for ourselves. Garveys website had a few potential choices, so we headed over. We worked with Kris Carver and found a 2013 Nissan Juke that fit the criteria we had set and was in our price range. Absolutely outstanding new car purchase and trade-in deal with Kris Carver and company at Garvey Hyundai! Im a previous Garvey customer who first purchased from this dealership in 2010 and remembered having a very positive interaction in 2010.Fast forward to 2021 and my mother is in the market for a new vehicle to replace her 12-year old Mazda. I encouraged her to consider a Hyundai Tucson or Kona from Garvey based on my prior purchase experience and the reliability of my 2010 Santa Fe, which is still going strong at 95,000+ miles. I did a ton of research on vehicle sales negotiation in an effort to assist my mother long-distance with her purchase, as I didnt want her to be taken advantage of for not really understanding the car sales business. I read many positive reviews about salesman Kris Carver and specifically reached out to Kris to assist my mother with her trade in and new car purchase. We really had a very specific target number in mind for the transaction that included $4,000 of cash rebates and a substantial discount from the sticker price on a 2021 Tucson Limited. We also had concerns about the Mazda trade-in due to some rust on the car from the harsh North Country winters and made the effort to have it detailed immediately prior to trade-in.Long story short, negotiations with Kris Carver were fantastic and his wonderful personality made the whole process pleasant. Yes, negotiating car deals can be very challenging/stressful and a customer who wants an outstanding deal truly has to prepare. We came prepared and Kris did everything possible to earn our business...and did he ever earn our business with an incredible deal! My mother drove home today in her brand new 2021 Tucson and was ecstatic with both the vehicle itself and her amazingly pleasant experience with Kris and Garvey Hyundai. We worked with Jodi to purchase a used Santa Fe. The process went smoothly except we noticed an issue with the ABS system during the test drive. We were assured it would be handled during inspection. We picked up our car on September 28th. Low and behold the issue was not fixed and on October 1st we had to bring it back to be repaired. It is still there as of today October 8th waiting to be fixed. Moral of the story is don’t expect a perfect car experience and plan on if you need service it taking forever. Communication is not their strong point as we have had to make all calls about updates on our car, they have never once reached out to us directly. Less than impressed and should have just gone to Burington Hyundai like last time we needed a car.

Garvey Hyundai is an amazing business! I have been taking my Hyundai there for 3 years when the place I purchased it couldnt service it! I searched online first to see what was available and Kris Carver met me at the door to assist me. UPDATE - I wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly before I updated. I also added photos. So Joe from Hyundai called letting me know the price for the replacement parts, and labor to install, would be $577.72. Thats ON TOP of the $130 they already charged me to essentially do nothing(previous post). What a Joke. I ordered the OEM wastegate actuator from a Hyundai Genesis parts store in Florida for $224 including shipping. Pics of box with part number and receipt below. Della Kia Charged me $62.21 to install and adjust. Pic of that below as well.Hyundai Bill - $700+Della Kia Bill - $300 including ordered partsAlso telling that the owner has plenty of time to engage people who kiss their behinds and no words or actions whatsoever for the people his dealership have wronged. Theres a reason there are no positive reviews of the Service Dept.The choice is easy. Go somewhere else.You can only be taken advantage of so many times. I only come here when I absolutely have to and this is not my first horrible experience here. This time I have proof. The 1st pic is a Garvey Hyundai bill for what they said was over an hour of diagnostics for a check engine light. I provided a CPU scan print out as noted on the bill specifying the problem. The scan takes about 10 seconds to complete. They did their own scan showing the same problem, as well as claiming the jam nut on the wastegate rod was seized. They said there was nothing they could do except replace the parts at $360 plus labor. They charged me $130 for essentially telling me what I already knew and NOT FIXING THE PROBLEM. The 2nd and 3rd pics are a bill from Della KIa. Not only were they able to perform a scan and loosen the jam nuts that were seized, they were able to adjust the wastegate rod. Not enough to fix the problem, as stated on the bill. However they completed more work in 45 minutes than was done at Garvey in over an hour. And most Importantly; SINCE THEY COULDNT FIX IT THEY DIDNT CHARGE ME. as noted on the bill. The 4th pic shows the location of the jam nut. Revealed after removing one bolt with shield, on the top side of the motor and easy to get to. Long story short, avoid this place at all costs. They WILL rip you off.

Highly recommend Garvey! I was in upstate NY from out of town working over the summer, and my 2009 Prius was on its last legs. It made it to Plattsburgh and Jodi helped me find my replacement car. I was on and off the phone all day and she was patient while I was making necessary phone call, and sensitive to my rather odd situation. She wanted to make sure I had everything I needed to drive back to Chicago and wouldnt even let me leave until she made sure I knew how to use the remote start on my new-to-me Hyundai Accent. This was also my first solo venture buying a car at a dealership and Jodi made the whole process smooth and painless. Cant recommend them enough!

Absolutely the worst car buying experience of my life. I took a bath on the first lemon they sold me. I lost almost 7,000 dollars. Then I bought a new car and they extended the months to get the payment to what I wanted, but never told me they did. I was under the impression they stuck to the agreed term. Basically thought they were shaving some profit off from their end. I didnt even realize it until I checked my credit report a year later. I wouldnt have even bought it, but I was going on vacation and the first car I bought wouldnt start sometimes after I shut it off. It had some kind of electrical issue. I bought a third car from them and had multiple problems which never got resolved no matter how many times I brought it to the service department. At the end of day its shame on me for even attempting a third time. Honesty and integrity are not values they live by.

Can’t say enough good about this dealership and the staff. I had traveled quite a distance to buy a vehicle here and was greeted in the parking lot by the staff and offered water and the restroom right off the bat. The deal was great and Brian the sales person was awesome. I was able to take dame fay delivery which was important to me. Thanks Brian and Garvey Hyundai North. Top notch!!

I got a great deal on a great car. Nice bunch of folks and very professional. I love this car tho! Its fresh. Its Hot! Its The Hyundai Kona Ultimate Electric. Between the active lane keeping assist(It steers for you!) and the smart cruise and auto regeneration this car can practically drive itself. Almost as fun as actually driving it myself. For a guy as old as Im getting to be this is a comfortable car with feel and luxury equal to any out there. Heated and cooled leather seats heated steering wheel. The seat adjusts in multiple dimensions electronically. Power sliding and tilting sunroof. Dont even get me started on how cool this car makes me look! Its sleek almost muscular curvatures caught my eye the first time I saw one of these. Not to mention, this Kona has got all the power and handling you would expect from any other subcompact racecar you see on the streets today, without all the air and noise pollution, other than my pumping bass beats. I highly recommend going electric and buying one from these guys. See you at the next red light!

I was brought over to Kris after my car failed its inspection and I realized it was going to be more effort than it was worth to get it fixed. My partner and I immediately vibed with him and felt very comfortable working out what kind of vehicle would work best for me. We filled out a appraisal for our trade in. Got a very good trade so we called to look at a specific car. Made the appt. Went on a Monday and when we got there Brad had the car sitting out front and running for us to test drive. He was the very easy to work with. Drove out car home the same day.

I bought a car from this location. within 60days I had a major repair that the warranty wouldnt cover. I called the Manager and covered the whole repair bill for me. I have been a customer of Garvey Auto Group for almost 15 years and they have always done good by me and are always willing to help.

My sales representative Brad Bernard took me out on a test drive and answered all of my questions. He did not try to aggressively sell me anything. Brad was responsive to my emails and Garvey Hyundai was able to match competitors prices. Knowing what I wanted and being a serious buyer, the process couldn’t have gone smoother. So, my wife and I went to Garvey Hyundai to look at a 2016 Ford Edge they had online. Upon arrival we met with our sales guy Kris (who was awesome) he explained he was with another customer but would grab keys so we could take it for a test drive in the mean time. Kris came back a few moments later with another gentleman and introduced him as the sales manager, Mark. It was then Mark apologized and told us the vehicle was no longer available. Honestly, i was upset and ready to just head back over to VT. Mark asked us what we were looking for vehicle wise and said he would do everything he could to give us a deal if there was anything on the lot we were interested in. In no way did we feel pressured into looking at anything and Mark spoke with sincerity and apologized numerous times. After test driving a Jeep, we decided it wasn’t for us but we spotted a Hyundai Tucson that my wife fell in love with, test drove it, and that was the one. Instead of the normal “we can do this for you” then declining and going back and forth for hours, it was literallyMark: here’s what we can do for youMe: (after a little talking with the wife) This is the best you can do to sign papers today?Mark: “tell you what, this is the absolute best i can do, and i took a little more off because we didn’t have the vehicle you came for”Papers signed. We were also asked to give them a chance to get us better financing (we already had everything set up through our credit union) we declined and that was that. ZERO pressure.I felt i had to share the story to say, i absolutely hate buying vehicles from dealerships. Very rarely do i leave not feeling pressured and that i was forced into buying the vehicle. There was none of that at Garvey, they were very professional and actually a dealership with integrity. I’ve never been to a dealership that would essentially own up to an error on their part the way Garvey did when they realized the vehicle we were there to look at wasn’t there. In the end, i feel we got more car for the money with our Tucson and my wife LOVES it. There are only 2 dealerships i will return to, one of them being Garvey Hyundai. Anyone considering buying a vehicle from them should not think twice, you won’t regret it! Very professional and very friendly and sincere people!

I have had so many bad experiences with Garvey it is unbelievable. To the point that we sold our vehicle to no longer be associated with them. First and foremost PAY ATTENTION to the paperwork they swindled another almost 25/month on us in a payment. The service department (3 weeks for a oil change appointment) Joe is so rude and wants nothing more than to be difficult. So bad, the worst experience I have ever had and so glad to no longer have a car from them. Stay away. The owner Sean is so rude it is unfathomable that he can be an owner of a business. I highly suggest you go elsewhere when looking. They do not care about you after the sale.

Brad from Garvey Hyundai should be a recognized Saint. After practically crying my way out of Huttig Nissan, my sister took me to this dealership, and I will be buying any future vehicles at Garvey Hyundai from this point forward. Not only was I in a terrible position to buy a car (I woke up one morning a year into financing a car and my vehicle wouldnt start, and the dealership did nothing to help me out when their specialist couldnt fix it), I was also terribly scared to walk into another dealership after my horrendous experience with Huttig. Thankfully, Hyundai is a bright place that offers comfortable seating and refreshments while you wait, and their customer service is the best that I could have ever asked for. They got me into such an amazing vehicle with an incredibly low interest rate, AND I was able to trade my car in for an offer that was way more reasonable than the one I received elsewhere. Brad and the staff at Garvey Hyundai went really far out of their way to right a wrong that wasnt committed by them, and I cant thank them enough for putting me into a vehicle that I feel safe, happy, and stylish in. Everybody should shop here anytime they need any cars for anybody!!

My appointment was at 11am for an inspection. Here it is 12:30, they inform me I need new breaks. No big deal, I tell them I’m late returning from my lunch break and I’ll come back. He tells me the guy doing my inspection left my car torn apart and didn’t finish the inspection so I can’t take my car until he gets back from lunch and finishes. I’m not sure why they didn’t inform me of this taking longer then expected so I wasn’t missing work, especially when I took an hour off PLUS my hour lunch. I personally feel he should’ve finished his job, knowing I’m sitting in the waiting room before going to lunch. I will not be returning for anything nor will I recommend this place.
