I would give more than 5 stars if possible! Stopped by to pick up some tackle and thanks to Luke and Nicole’s advise left with my Rod rigged and ready! Every time I visit these guys are extremely helpful!!!! By far best tackle shop in town !!!

Great experience here today, staff was super helpful especially Matthew! Im a beginner fisherwoman so he was very patient & informational, even taught me how to tie a few knots which was awesome! Caught a nice Mackerel out at Dania Beach today with my new Battle 3 DX 5000 reel that he spooled for me! Will definitely be coming back here with anymore equipment I may need for my growing new hobby :)

As someone who travels to fish, I often rely on the info I get from local bait shops when I fish in New and unfamiliar areas. More often than not, I get short vague answers from people in bait shops and it is very frustrating. Not here. The guy that helped me out was friendly and helpful and even told me about a spot I didnt know of. Very cool and very nice to have a bait shop welcome out-of-town anglers and give advice/tips. This will be the store I go to when I come down here to fish in the future.

I called in to Big Dog not long ago with questions about a new Temple Reef SPJ rod that recently hit the market. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and even offered to get feedback from customers who had bought the same rod. The price of the rod was spot on, not like the mark-ups I saw at other online vendors, and FREE shipping. Im in New York so couldnt beat that. I left a pre-shipping comment asking for a non-floor model and to package it well so that it wouldnt get damaged in transit as I have had bad experiences before. Not only was the rod flawless like it came directly from the manufacturer, but the packaging was dynamite proof. Outstanding customer service and attention to detail from start to finish. Highly recommend as an online vendor if youre out of state, these guys take care of you no matter where you are.

Really good experience at the store. Came from out of state.The whole staff was awesome. Matthew helped us pick up a few poles and he was a great help, showed us how to set them up and rig them properly as well as the best spots to go. This place is great. Started fishing more off shore lately and went in there to get set up. They are a wealth of knowledge and don’t just try and sell you stuff you don’t need. All the staff are very well trained and super helpful. Listen and they’ll help you as much as the bait and gear. Great selection too. Loaded with inventory.

I’ve been to a bunch of tackle shops since we moved here 3 months ago. I wish I woulda found big dog first. Second to none for cleanliness, inventory, and a knowledgeable helpful staff. There was a guy there named Joe that was a huge help to me as I’m a rookie blue water guy. Your wife will actually enjoy this place because she can shop there too, and it doesn’t smell like dead bait. You’re wasting your money anywhere else or supporting China with amazon. Go to big dogs, you won’t be disappointed

Dropped in with my family since I am visiting from out of town and I was greeted like an old friend. Nicole was absolutely amazing. Big dog tackle is a great place to get fishing gear and clothes. They have the best customer service and just being around them puts me in a good mood.
