First off Rachael deserves 5 stars, Scott 3, and warehouse 1. Bought a temple Reef rod collection series that was missing its custom rod sock. First off almost all rods will never increase in value but if this one was too it is missing a key component. I did receive an Elevate Rod sock for the missing one. Thus the reason why Scott gets three stars. Will change to 5 if the other one is located and sent to me. But this is been going on for a couple of weeks now and dont for see this happening. As a business owner myself organization is a key component to business and things should not be lost and unobtainable. Warehouse also shiped this rod like this in the photo missing a sock. For the record I like the rod and received an email from mr. Chin himself explaining that it was a limited edition and no more was being produced.

A lot of lack of professionalism, I had to fix my fishing reel and it took two weeks to finally tell me that they didnt know what was happening. I passed by picking it up and then I checked it and they put it together missing pieces and when I complained they told me that it was safe somewhere else what is there was not, and since my English is not very good I could not express myself much but inside the place there were more workers listening that they understood Spanish and they didnt want to help me. I knew why, being outside, one of them came out talking on the phone and I was celebrating my truck in Spanish that disrespectful. my advice does not go there is not to buy but for services they are very mediocre and are not responsible for anything

I needed 4 new trolling outfits and was back and forth with make/model as I had questions. Scott was extremely helpful in helping me make a decision and the process was painless. Their rods are of top quality. They had a huge selection of reels. Every line you could imagine. More vertical jigs than you could imagine. Everything terminal tackle you could ever need. If they don’t have it you don’t need it here in Florida.I’ll be back soon.

I have purchased many rods from CHAOS. They carry the best tackle and help you put a system together to go out there and slaughter the fish.Kevin just helped me get setup with two trolling rods. I recently found this place online And let me tell you they have their stuff together and updated. I was looking for a rod on the official Shimano website and chaos fishing was the only store with with actual viewable inventory directly on the page and that’s the kind of of stuff that the fishing industry needs to keep up with . They had my new teramar xx rod so I drove 30mi. To get it no questions asked. Their store is clean, spacious, and is full of top shelf gear . When I got there a guy I believe named Kevin was extremely helpful with my purchase and knowledgeable for all the questions I had for him. I highly recommend a place this they definitely have my business in the future.

If I could I would give no stars. Ordered two shirts still have not received them. Asked for a refund last week still no refund. This place is a joke please stay away from this place I will be calling my bank Tomorrow to report fraudulent charges as they told they put in for refund And told me sent an email saying Ive been refunded but nothing.Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

I made a purchase of an Accurate reel 2 speed BV-500 online and I ended up reaching out to them to cancel as I was still just torn between that reel and a Shimano Talica 16ii. they were great to work with on the phone and graciously canceled my order. They also gave great advice on the reels in question and help me make the best decision for me!

In town on vacation, wanted to pick up another spinfisher. unknowingly I called them 15 min before they were closing up and they actually waited for me to get there and make my purchase to lock the doors. The 2 reels were laid out soon as i got there, and I snagged the 6500 which the next morning I caught my PB mutton on. Although I didnt spend much time in the shop it presented very well maintained and FULLY stocked. Even as a vacationer I highly recommend this shop and was so impressed with this service i plan on having my future gear shipped to me from Choas and definitely going to have them build some custom inshore rods for my spinfishers.10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Let me start by saying that my family have spent a good amount of money at Chaos. We received an email asking kids to stop by and get a gift as they are giving away gifts for the 25 days of Christmas, yet they told my kid that he needed to buy something to get a gift. Great people I know I spoke to Scott and I wish I remember the name of the other man there, but they were both very knowledgeable and explained to my the difference in prices for the same style of rod just made different and helped me make my decision as to what was best for my application. I was there yesterday and used the rod that night and let me say it was made flawless as the performance was impeccable. I would definitely recommend their gear to anyone, a little pricey for the ever age angler but certainly looks way more fair compared to other “custom rod” companies. They will hear you up right and make sure your prepared properly!

Horrible experience, purchased item from them off of eBay. I live less than three hours away from them. 10 days later still no item. Tracking shows item shipped to Washington and now no movement for days? Contacted them and was told oh well not our problem take it up with the post office. Blamed on covid-19, funny how anything else I ordered from other vendors may be aday or two late but shows up and doesnt end up thousands of miles away. Extremely rude, arrogant, sales rep named Allen. On Saturday September 26th 2020 around 3pm EST time I politely called their main store and inquired about a Shimano fishing rod Grappler Type J GRPJS66MH Spinning and if it was in stock. I found this store via Amazon and noticed they have listings of their products there. So I asked Allen if he could help me look up the item on Amazon since I was told they sell it on there. I was greeted with with You can find it yourself, I have other customers in the main store to cater to. So I called back roughly 10 minutes later and asked if I could have the contact information to the store owner so I could email or personally ask if I could purchase that fishing rod on Amazon. I was shocked when Allen replied with Im not giving you that information. I think that any business that doesnt provide a higher ups contact information for a customer to either ask a question or acknowledge customer feedback has a negative approach to customer relations.

Stopped what they were doing to help fix a guide on my rod quickly. Good people.

UPDATED!!!Went here with my son to get him a new rod and reel !We use spinner reels all the time we are not very familiar with bait casters the employee who was helping us picked out a snook and tarpon set a shimano tranx paired on a g loomis we specifically told him the boy would be using live shrimp and would it be able to get a descent cast with it the employee says it will cast very easy and far with a live shrimp he talked us in to getting it we got some line and as the other employee was spoiling it he tells us that casting a live shrimp with this ain’t goin to work so well so I ask the other employee who sold it to us for a refund on the reel he tells us he can’t accept a return because it is now considered a used reel because it has been spooled already even though we never got out of the store with it !!! He then assures us once more that this thing will cast a live shrimp with no problems but there’s no way he can accept a return on it witch I thought was Ridiculous how can it be used if we never left the store it was literally less than two minutes ! We left and I forgot something so I walk back in the store and the employees are upset at each other now I over hear the one guy saying why would you tell him that and then he saw me so he became quiet So we give it a chance 3 different times and it seems impossible to cast it with a live shrimp with this big bait caster I talked with a few people since at tackle shops and they all tell me it’s made to cast lures and mullets with a heavy sinker not made for live shrimp at allThis guy really take advantage of us I fell like such a fool . You would think that a expensive place like this would be honest with its customers but it seems as if they like to take advantage of 14 year old little boy they take him for close to $680 On a reel that he will never use ! THANKS ALOT GUYSUpdate one of the managers left a reply that he would like to contact me to talk about the situation I have to admit I honestly thought that we would be able to work out something when I saw his reply ! Boy was I wrongSo he calls me and let’s me know he was the one who sold us the rod and suggest we put a lesser plb braid on the reel in it will fix the problem and it will be able to cast further yet he was the one who suggest the braid that it was spooled with in the first place like I would take advice from him again yeah right !!!! I have been to 3 different tackle shops and all of them said I will not be able to cast a live shrimp with out a heavy weight !!! Why even take the time to reach out to some one to give them false information! This place is a joke

I bought 4 custom rods about a month ago and have yet to receive them. However, customer service is great. Every time I call, I get a friendly voice and an update. The reason for this review is I read Jeffrey Baileys review bitching about the price of mono. Dude, if you didnt like the price then get them spooled somewhere else???? Nothing wrong with making a profit. Jeffrey went on and bitched about it taking and hour to spool 3 reels. Jeffrey, how long do you think it takes to properly spool 3 reels tightly? Would you have rather them just rushed the line on real quick. Jeffrey, why dont you think a little before writing a review. You sound like a complete douche! Your review probably helped their spooling business because it shows sane people that they do it right!

Chaos is a nice, large, modern retail shop stocked with just about everything fishing from apparel to tackle.The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help.They have been building my rods for the past few years. The manager, Scott Brown, has bent over backwards to accommodate all of my custom requests no matter how inconvenient.The owner, Marshall, is often in the store and never fails to treat everyone more as friends than customers.Chaos has definitely earned my business.

For a fancy high end tackle shop, their customer service is pretty bad. A rod repair took almost two weeks when they said a couple of days. First I was told $10-$12 a guide (needed two)then, no more than $30 after the second call to check and then had to pay almost $45 the day I picked up. I explained to the person behind the counter what I was told prior and his response was “I gotcha”. That was my experience, read similar reviews, ownership needs to train its employees or make changes.

Scott was fantastic in assisting me with the knowledge required to purchase the proper kite fishing reels and rods. Scott went out his way to accommodate all of our questions. Great service with fair prices. I would highly recommend Scott and Chaos.

We have been going to Chaos for about a couple of years now. Scott Brown has always been helpful and courteous when we have gone in, at the previous location and after they moved to this location. Hes extremely knowledgeable, professional, and builds setups that are appropriate for the anglers age and desired species.Every time he has come out on the water, hes always incredibly patient with my boys and they really enjoy fishing with him. The boys learn a lot from him (their dad learns a lot too, I might add) while theyre having fun fishing, which is one of their favorite activities. He knows the South Florida area very well and can get you to the right spot for whatever species youre targeting.Well definitely keep coming back and recommend their services to everyone.

Went in to buy spinning reel and to browse. Chaos describes it well, boxes all over the place, very tough to walk around. And reels, very very few in the case, apparently we have a bunch more in the back. I went in to buy a spinning reel, really didnt want to spend time waiting to pull reels out of boxes in the back.

I have bought several rod and reel combos from Scott at Chaos over the last couple years. Everything is spot on. They take time to match tackle with the type of fishing and the angler. When my son was younger they cut the butts down some older rods, at no charge, so it would be easier for him to handle. They have always been helpful and deliver the right product when they say it will be ready.

Great store with awesome variety. I brought a $500 Shimano Game Type Slow J to them after the guide was completely broken. Capt. Scott had it repaired within a week and you couldnt even tell it had work done was so impressed. I picked up 2 Type Js from them couldnt be happier with the rods!Update:After a full year Chaos still rocks. Capt Scott is the man!

I have purchased 7 customs rods and reels from Chaos since finding this gem of a store about a year ago! I drive 40 minutes to buy from these guys even though I have several high end custom rod shops near my house. Ask for Scott. I go when he is working and usually end up spending way too much time in the store talking shop! I get great tips and product info and they always know the perfect rod/reel combo I am looking for based on the type of fishing I do. Scott always takes the time no matter what he is doing when I come in to make sure all of my questions are answered, regardless of how trivial they may be. If you have not been to the new store, it is worth the trip! Huge selection and it only gets larger every time I go!

The guys at Chaos are always very helpful and friendly to ask not only equipment questions but also the latest fishing techniques. Chaos also provides some of the best quality when it comes to workmanship and also backs their products 100%. If youre not happy they will solve the issue in a timely manner that is fair for both parties.

Overpriced and poor service. I was charged 10¢ per yard of Mamoi mono 30lb test line. That is double I have paid anywhere else. I have contacted the manager and he said thats just what they charge. I have called several other fishing stores and all only charge half of what chaos charged. They also took over in hour to spool 3 reels with the store being empty on a Sunday with 3 people working. I would not recommend this store

I went there Friday night looking for some information on some lures for trolling for Tuna. The guy I talked to seemed very knowledgeable and I ended up buying some lures for trolling. I drive back home (30-40 min. depending on traffic) only to find out they did not put the lures that I just bought in the bag. I called back 5 minutes after their closing time to see if I could run back up and grab them and it goes straight to voicemail. Needless to say I was frustrated because I wanted to use them the following day. The next day I go up there after going fishing and explain my frustrations and did not even get a sorry or an apology from the older gentleman working the counter even though I had to take an hour out of my day to go fix their mess-up. Poor customer service, I do not think Ill be going back nor would I recommend this store.

Recently purchased 4 of their custom Rodzilla 60-130lbs class 6ft rods with silver aluminum Terminator Adjusta-Butt holders and roller guides.They custom made the rods purple/orange/silver, added custom Wahoo & Swordfish decals and included the name of my boat exactly as requested.The rods were completed when they said they would and they look absolutely amazing! I havent had an opportunity to use the rods yet because I have yet to purchase the reels for them; however, several friends and family members have seen the rods and everyone has been thoroughly impressed!They included a free vertical jigging rod matching the color scheme of the other 4 rods purchased which looks amazing as well and was an added bonus.I will need 3 more lighter tackle rods soon and I will be purchasing those from CHAOS as well!

Selection of spinning rods limited. Did not have their total spin fishing rod line in stock. Bought another brand spinning rod off the shelf. Found out later that it did not fit my purpose because the reel seat was too small for the reel I was going to use. Asked for a refund and was told that I could not receive a refund unless I use another credit card or put the refund on my debit card?? Never heard of this before. Only have one credit card and I do not like to use my debit card for purchases. Mgr. was of no help and told me no refund. This is the first time I ever wrote a negative review. Sixty year resident of Pompano Beach. Life long fisherman. Will not go back. Would be a zero star if I could. Thank God for Tom Green Tackle!

Really bad costumer service . I have bought around 5 shimano reels from chaos fishing and a bounch of fishing gear . Last shimano i bought 2 days ago the clicker went bad on first use same day i bought it i couldnt return it next day because of labor day . So i brought it down today and all i got is you got to send it back to shimano or pay us to fix it when i ddint get to use it once in working condition guy on the register is really arrogant ddnt even give me a smile acted like he had more important stuff to do not to mention last reel i bought from him he maid me pay 16 dollars to spool the 150 dollar reel when las 4 i bought the owner had thrown in the spooling for free!!!!! Cmonnn guys this isnt good business!!!!!!

Very knowledgeable great place to go

My husband received a custom made fishing rod as a gift from this company a few years ago. The rod snapped. The website claims that the rods hold a lifetime warranty. We did not have the receipt as the person who gave it to him has since passed away. I called to see what options we would have in getting the rod replaced as it clearly states the manufacturer and identifying markings on it. The person who answered my call, Scott Brown, was very rude and condescending. He told me that he bought the company out of bankruptcy and did not have any records of sales prior to that. He told me he could fix the rod and charge me. It was not the charge, it was the way he spoke to me. Mimicking me and basically laughing at me and threatening to end the call anytime he did not like what he was hearing. He told me I was not a customer of his, he did not build the rod, therefore would not work with me in replacing it as an item under warranty. What a way to build customer relationships! Not a way for any good business person to conduct themselves. STAY AWAY!!
