Well, another 50% off deal at Value World on 3/23/21. This time I went to the one in Pontiac. There wasnt a lot of people shopping when I arrived at 2pm. But by the time I checked out they seemed to be a bit busier. I was there about 1 1/2 hrs shopping. I have been to this location many times before. Sorry to say its not my favorite one :( They seem to have the highest mark up at this location. Its a 2nd hand store, why dont they have prices that reflect that? I know they probably mark it up to accommodate the upcoming sales. I feel its way overpriced for what you get when there is no coupon. Just my opinion.They dont have enough employees working while running the half off special. If they did, I didnt see anyone other than the cashier! I waited in line for 35 minutes. They had one cashier for checking out. I felt bad for her.While I was waiting, the manager was called up front. She walked past the entire line, helped the cashier with something then went in the back room/office. Omg! What is more important in the back than the MANY people in line? She was then called back up front for another issue with the cashier. Finally, she jumped on a register. All of us standing in line could not believe it! Why didnt she do that the first time! I will only go here during half off sales. Hopefully they will staff the store better with anticipation of the sale.I know some of the employees work hard, and they have been through a few management changes. But they still need managers that see the big picture. Hopefully soon!!

I absolutely love this thrift store! They have a huge selection, its clean and the staff is always so nice!! Highly recommend this store!!

Prices are great. However pontiac store does not allow customers to use their restrooms. Wont shop there again. This is very inconvenient when you have children with you.

As I browsed through the racks, the price of there used clothing was overpriced. I ran across a two piece pink dress and it had stains on it. Value World had a ridiculous price tag on the dress in the amount of $32.40! Have they forgotten that the clothing, and items they sell are used? Have they forgotten that they are a Thrift Store? Who are they helping with over priced items? The Value World on 9 mile and Coolidge is terrible for extremely high prices for used items. Im sounding off because there seems to be no regulation or guidelines, on how there workers price items and clothing.

Sizes were marked wrong 32 size marked 34, & 34 marked 36 contrary to the items factory tag dont believe what they write in crayon as the size of the item...ITS WRONG...fell on deaf ears when i alerted this to them.

So glad they reopened... I was having thrifting withdrawals. Ive never gone there and not found something I loved. Its where the dedicated thrifter goes to find that unique piece of clothing or jewelry item... And isnt afraid to put the time in to discover it. Its not Meijer or Walmart or Maurices.. You either love to Resale or you hate it. I love it!

If you like thrift stores you have to check Value World! I think they have some of the better prices around the area.I love that the clothes are sorted by short sleeve, long sleeve, tank tops, sweaters, dresses, business apparel as well as color.It seems as if all the clothes are laundered before sale too!I have found many good deals but sometimes clothes are over priced for used clothing but then again no one said you have to buy it.No fitting room so wear a tight tank top to try clothes on. Only one mirror in the store too.

This is my favorite thrift store/resale shop. This place has a lot of great womens clothing. They have good name brand for cheap. They have good standards for a lot of their merchandise. The only problem is They do not have a changing room.

Not a fan. I love Bargain shopping like many others but this place is in ruins. Nothings organized appropriately and everything seems spilled all over the place. People arent very hopeful and they dont really care for their job and you can tell. If youre looking for something in particular good luck because you have to hunt for everything. Over all prices are not listed on items so you dont know how much it is until you get to the register.

Dont ever work for this company or these people. Their management training program is a joke, and the money isnt worth the soul-crushing reality of their depending on desperate, minimum wage labor to sustain their business model.

BY FAR my favorite thrift store. Absolutely the cleanest and best organized Ive ever seen. Really great clothes and blankets. I do hope for more items to be put on the clearance rack regularly and that a few more full-length mirrors are put up to offset the lack of changing rooms. The staff tend to teeter between aloof and annoyed but Im not there to make friends so Im not bothered by it. Just give me the deals!! :)

Rude grumpy employees and no fitting rooms. My girlfriend had to change in a corner of the store and other guys were coming over and acting interested in items on the wall to try and peep a look.

There’s usually always something good to buy, and there’s always lots of clothing!

You can find treasures in here if you look, when they show up. Junk, of course, but extremely useful place for inexpensive finds and deals. Once in a while youll be surprised with a great find at a great price and go away like Santa just left you some goodies.

My absolute favorite thrift store! I wish they would have more incentive programs for repeat customers.

Great thrift shopping destination. Got a pair of mint condition tassel loafer for $5.00. That without a thorough look through the store. I you like shopping a thrift/second chance stores this a must.

This resale shop has a large selection of good used clothing for the family at a low cost. I have purchased several items recently that were brand new with the original store tags still on them and paying a fraction of the price. The one thing I have noticed is that other resale shops do not launder their items prior to sale, but this place does.

Ive never gone shopping there and not left with awesome buys at awesome prices! I just recently purchased two dresses that still had the tags on. They also have coupons for 50% off your entire order, that come in the mail... I love it there:)

Used items or not. This place is a 100% disgustingly grungy ghetto store. They clean NOTHINNG!! And the isles are a walking hazard. A law suit waiting to happen. I realize people are looking for a good deal, but if it is not clothing, count on it having lice, fleas, ticks, food stuck to it, grease, or just plain dirt and grime on it. That is, if its not already broken, and still for sale. Someone should call code enforcement.

80% of the items are in very bad condition or even broken and yet this store has the highest prices of almost any thrift store around. I rarely ever go in here because of it. They are flat out ripping people off and the reason Im even posting this review is that in a rough area where people really need to buy second hand, their kids clothes, coats, and shoes are way overpriced. Im talking over retail price. That is particularly egregious. And the clerk had no idea who prices the stuff. Dont go in here unless you like overpaying for trash.

Decent assortment of goods.... but the line was extremely long. I felt bad for the woman working the register. She kept paging someone to come and no one did.

We love value world! A fitting room would be nice but I understand why there is not one. We have learned to wear leggings and tank tops so we can try on over our clothes.

Great store and awesome prices but every other item i picked up was broken. They dont go through it very often to remove broken things. Kinda disappointed with my trip today.

For used Items theyre very overpriced. They wanted $12-15 for highly used worn out shoes. Kids shirts covers in stains were $4-5 each. Adult jeans also stained for $10-12. Wouldnt mind these prices for gently used Items but NOTHING about these items was gently used.

I have found some wonderful purchases here at fantastic prices. I love shopping here.

Prices are to high and it makes sence now why its always 50% off coupons. It just makes shopping at a resale shop much more difficult when theres a Forman Mills right there and you can go and get brand new clothes for cheaper than what you can get with a 50% off coupon in the same Plaza and you can take the stuff back if it doesnt fit. I just think their prices went crazy

I ducked into Value World to scope it out and found it to be a weird combination of a TJ Maxx and a Big Lots. I didnt see anything in here that stuck me as a particularly good deal that couldnt be had elsewhere, so I see no point in going out of your way to shop here if you have a Target or Walmart right up the street.

Sometimes you find nice stuff most the time though it is the ugly stuff other stores couldnt sell.
