My elderly parents used HD for their kitchen remodel. A year later, their small galley space is essentially complete; the backsplash was the last to be done. The dining room light (switch located in kitchen) has not worked since backsplash was installed. Multiple phone calls and messages later, no one will respond. We took off the plate to see if it was a quick fix. It wasnt and is still out of commission. Also, look how the tile guy left the area. He didnt even take the plate off to grout.TLDR: Project management is terrible, work is shoddy, and they will take advantage of elderly clients.

I had to get a new refrigerator. So here we went. It took a while as one employee was on break and the other was with a customer. I have bought a washer, dryer, dishwasher, hot water tank and now a fridge. Next will be the stove . Lol. Service is great and they take away my old appliances for $25.

Not enough helpers I know were in covo but I literally waited for 30 minutes to try to get someone to help me with a piece of metal for drying in t11 I finally found some come find out they didnt have my t11 that I needed so I settle for something else

Nice clean, friendly store. Doug was the best at looking up on the computer and figuring out exactly what I needed. Come to find out it was a regular switch inside an outside casing. I was looking for a switch that looked like the casing. He made everything so simple for me. My problem was too many things not priced or priced wrong.

Love going on the website and looking for something and it tells me exactly where in the store it is. Down to the aisle and bay love this feature even says how many are in stock

This is nice store and good location and lots of choices for shopping but we had very sad experience in flooring department. We purchased carpet and all other padding for the job we need to do as soon as possible, Paid for it in full and ask them to hold until we hire sub to install. On Friday they told us it’s already to pick up and it’s in the back room . Sunday afternoon our installer came to pick it up and deliver They told him Carpet is not ready and here we have to wait another six days for it to be delivered which was a complete lie because they don’t want to go to back room and find the order, it was very unprofessional and disappointing, we have to physically come to the store and demand manager to take a look and find our orders that was actually not ready and so they have to physically get up and start rolling carpet that was surely available in the store but not yet cards to our measures and so they were trying to push six days just because they don’t want to do it

Rented a Penske truck from them. The truck wasnt even cleaned out. Had someone Burger King trash in it, and the back was full of pet hair and small random children toy peices.

Bought a 46inch Husky tool box yesterday. I asked if they could price match Harbor Freight for $50 less. Customer service agreed to price match and the toolbox was loaded in the back of my truck without an issue by a few employees. Overall very happy with the customer service and price I received.

Wasnt very good !! I spend thousands of dollars every year in home Depot and when you need help seems like everybody wants to run from you!! I had to load 20 cases of tile and get my own pallet jack to take it to the checkout counter and take it to my truck outside!! I passed three employees and they looked at me like huh whats up!!what a joke, the cashier just kept saying Im sorry Im sorry but it wasnt her fault.... Ill go to Northport home Depot next time they are friendly and very helpful all the time......

Love me some Home Depot. Their stores are all different so if you need to find something its not always easy. Fair prices, friendly advice and great customer service is a good thing. They do a decent job of both.

The manager was great she really gets it

I was on line and found the shower head i wanted got the location of the item. Go to the store I was directed to by the site and none were available even though their inventory showed 2 left. Store rep was very helpful but could not find the shower head. He also informed me that another store a half hour away shows 5 in stock. I don’t trust their numbers anymore as this has happened to me before. A couple of clicks on Amazon and I will receive my new shower head tomorrow. Done with Home Depot.

One of the better / worst experiences at home depot. One employee was super ignorant and beyond rude and yet another employee was beyond helpful and nice. Home depot get it together when hiring your staff and for the love of all things... make sure they know how to use a freaken smart device if your going to give them one!!!

Home Depot was extremely busy yesterday. Had to wait about 10 minutes to get someone to get a stack of pressure treated plywood down and unwrap it. Also lacked having enough vinyl siding by one piece to finish my project. Which I cant blame the store for. But other than that they had everything else I needed. So all and all not a bad experience.

First time here. I have the Home Depot app and Ive made out a list to look for. The store is organized pretty well but some of the associates dont know where things are and were not too helpful in pointing me in the right direction. I did eventually find everything and thank goodness checkout was easy and had friendly service help. Ill be back to finish shopping soon. Stay tuned for more. Check it out. They do have everything.

I had replacement vinyl windows installed by Home Depot. Let me start by saying that I like the windows. They are good quality. Unfortunately lots of issues with installation. The salesman assured me that hd employees would install. Not true. The job was contracted out. One window was measured wrong and they had to fill in the space. Even after several callbacks and months of waiting, they never actually finished the job. They said, I’ll be back tomorrow to finish. Screw covers never installed. I honestly can’t recommend them.

Love that they are open at 7:00AM on Sundays. The North Port HD doesnt open until 8:00AM, so thats weird.

Home Depot always has what we want. Items we buy or items we order are great. We (hubby, mom, daughters, and me) all enjoy great customer service too. And, HD even offers a little discount to military people. Home Depot actually helps even build special homes for those in need with volunteering too. Overall, they exceed expectations consistently.

I was there twice in 2 days and no one was able to help me. They would just walk by like I wasnt even there. Just because I am a female in the lumber dept doesnt mean I dont know what I need or want. I just needed help locating a few items.

Teenagers at the customer service desk don’t know how to call someone out to help ya with $1,000 worth of material (after asking them to). Waited for a bit and started unloading. Saw another guy and said hey why don’t yall help anymore he said no one called him he would have. A little customer service goes a long way. I been working day and night and im exhausted. I loaded $4,000 worth by my self. No one comes. Who do we ask?I’m gonna see if Lowes has people who will actually call people to help next project. That’s just insulting. Like my time didn’t matter.

Always something to buy for DIY projects !

I took a Home Depot survey and at the end was asked to leave a review which I did. Home Depot rejected my review. I read their guidelines and the only reason I can see it being removed was for honesty. I used to be a very loyal customer and tried to stick with them but the laziness and incompetence is unreal. In April they corralled all customers through the entrance so you could not enter through the contractor end. They had a guy spraying disinfectant on the cart but he was soaking them. I needed a flat bed cart but there were big puddles on the only 2 he had and I was not going to put my stuff in a puddle. I went inside hoping to find a dry flatbed. I couldnt so I asked a manager who was near by. He said You have to go out the exit here, and get a cart and come back in down there. What kind of customer service is that? Would it hurt to go get a cart? He wasnt doing anything but standing there and the store had just opened. I went to Lowes who has the carts inside and dry. Since then I have been doing almost all of my buying through Lowes. Yesterday I decided to get a tool chest. I wanted a Husky so I went to Home Depot. I did not see what I was looking for so I asked. The guy said If it aint right here, we dont have it. This is it. No attempt to look it up, ask a manager, nothing. I left and on my way out I passed tool chests. Not the exact one I wanted but there were a bunch of them at the exit, not where he said. I went to Home Depot in North Port. Couldnt find what I want and I asked. The guy says I dont think we have it, BUT LET ME CHECK FOR YOU. Service. He spent about 5 minutes looking on the computer before trying to check with other stores. This guy does his job. North Port HD care. The Port Charlotte store is not what it used to be. Management doesnt seem to give a damn. No customer service. Signs on the door demanding people wear masks yet there are employees walking around with masks under their chins, under their noses and some not at all. I dont mind them not wearing a mask but it takes a lot of nerve to posts signs demanding people wear a mask and your own employees dont follow it. The cashiers arent friendly like they used to be. Perhaps its because they have so many self checkouts. Profits not big enough so you have to con customers into being free labor too? I used to rarely go to Lowes, I was very loyal to HD but the Port Charlotte store is a joke. I do 98% of my buying at Lowes now. If there is something that I need and HD has it I travel to North Port or Punta Gorda and that is very, very rare. Port Charlotte needs to dump their managers, retrain their staff and learn how to help customers. It really is a shame to see how far it has fallen.
