Very responsive and fair thruout the entire buying process of our new Sportsman 231. With the Covid pandemic crippling manufacturing Justin was always available for a response or a quick phone call with updates. I would not hesitate to buy our next boat from them. Oh and by the way the follow up call you get from Joy is fantastic if you are a boat enthusiast. I found myself not wanting to hang up.
A typical for marine retail.Expensive.Found the same parts I needed with the same brand name for half the price on Amazon. Yeah I know youre supposed to shop locally to keep our economy and small businesses in the mix, but when they start taking the money that you have earmarked for bread and milk thats when I start searching out the comRetailers. Businesses need to charge roughly four times what they pay for a part to accommodate the charges for their overhead. Electric, salaries,Maintenance etc.Sorry but I cant be part of your solution, you need to be part of mine if you want my business.
A wonderful experience! Bill Fischer, along with the entire Boat House Team, made our first boat purchase absolutely terrific. We did our homework before setting out to purchase, and although we had our mind (and heart) set on the Hurricane Deck Boat, it was truly reassuring to have Bill carefully review our wants and needs to be absolutely sure wed be happy with our final decision. From our first contact, to delivery day and the after delivery check-ins, our satisfaction has been Bills Number 1 concern! The sale is over, but Bill and the Boat House has made it crystal clear that our relationship has just begun! Were extremely thankful for Bill and the Boat House!
My experience with the Boat house team in Port Charlotte was way beyond great.I have purchased a few boats in my time and let me tell you not a good experience . UntilI selected my 23ft sportsman from Justin at Boat house what a professional every step of the way the honesty, integrity and the updates throughout the process was so stress free and fun as it should be.Its rear when dealing with a company whether its buying a car boat windows do you get the type of service that Justin and the team at a the boat house provides they do what the say and never disappoint.A 10 all the way. Thanks to Justin and the entire team at the boat house in Port Charlotte.Steve and Sue .
Bill and all the great staff are truly exceptional. We purchased a new Godfrey pontoon and we added some extras. Bill and his team arranged a serious audio upgrade and contacted a reliable contractor to unfit our lift. Can’t say enough good things about them. Great place to buy!!! Thanks everyone!
We brought our new boat from up north to Florida and was informed that a recall was issued on our Mercury outboard motor. We called and spoke with Karen and she went out of her way to make sure our recall was performed as quickly as possible. She even sent a mechanic to our boat to perform the recall . Keith was prompt and professional and explained everything he was doing and was very respectful to our boat . Such a great service experience and highly recommend them
The Boat House was amazingly. Our salesman Greg was very accommodating as well as the entire staff. Customer service was unbelievable!
Everyone that we were in contact with especially Justin in sales and Chris in service were amazing. Friendly, informative and extremely knowledgeable throughout the buying process. We look forward to many enjoyable years with our new boat and a continuing relationship with everyone at the Boat House. Again thank you for a wonderful experience.
We are super excited about our new boat but this couldn’t happen without the help of Greg. He worked extra hard to get us exactly what we wanted, we greatly appreciate him going above and beyond to get us out on the water. Go see Greg, he will treat you like family and once you ready to pick up your boat, bring a cooler with cold beer and make sure to bring a beer for him ;) too ..... thank you Greg for everything! See you in the wonderful waters of SWFL!
I have always been satisfied with the service provided by The Boat House. However, at drop-off from my latest 200 hour service I had an issue with my motor overheating. I immediately called and was directed to take the boat back to the dock at the boat ramp. A technician was dispatched, Andy, who arrived within just a few minutes. After checking some basic things, he took the boat out of the water and found the problem. At this point it was the end of the day on Friday and I would’ve been satisfied had they just taken it back and repaired the issue on Monday. However, Andy, went above and beyond, stayed late after work and fixed the issue, returning the boat well after dark. All along he was pleasant, courteous, and upbeat. Andy is a credit to The Boat House team! This is a prime example of the find service that I have come to expect from The Boat House. Of course, Andy is not alone. Karen and Chris in the service department are always a joy to work with! In fact, not one member of The Boat House staff has disappointed me! Thanks for the excellent customer service!! I’m thankful that I chose to be a BoatHouse customer!!
Working with Greg from the Boat House was great! We almost bought a boat from another marina but they were difficult to deal with. I stopped to look at the boat that we ended up buying, we bought it from Greg because he was easy to deal with and straight forward with no BS like the other marina. Plus we got a much better deal! Thanks Greg!
I just can’t tell you enough how impressed I have been with my boat purchase from the boat house in Cape Coral. From the moment we walked around the yard looking at boats until the 20 hour inspection it has truly been an exceptional experience with everyone we have met. Starting with Danny our salesman, professional, knowledgeable and caring. He just did everything he could to make our purchase easy. Today 6 months after the start of our boat shopping I can still call him with a question or two.I will tell you I was a little disappointed with the Godfrey (Hurricane) final inspection team, but again I was throughly impressed with the service team at the Boat House. I worked with Kim in the service department and she listened to my concerns and with the service team were able to accomplish all issues quickly. Finally, I received a follow up call from Joy on how I was doing, how was the boat and they sent me a little something for me as a customer. You don’t get this type of customer service and follow up everywhere, but you do at the boat house.
I recently took delivery of a Masters 267 bay boat. Rick and Eric have have really raised the bar on customer service in SWFL. Communication was responsive during the delivery process and the team in port charlotte was quick to address a few pre-delivery fixes. The work done by the mechanics to install a Power Pole and battery charger was superb, better than factory work. I recommend them without hesitation.
Great experience from initial contact through delivery. Bill in sales was able to get a lot of things done for me ahead of time so I didnt have to sit there for hours after deciding on the boat. Everything else, including delivery, was coordinated via phone and email. Worked great for me as my job consumes a lot of time, so having a streamlined buying process was perfect for me...no wasted time in getting to a deal that worked for both parties.
Summary Statement: BUY HEREWhy? My wife and I have been round boats our entire lives, but this was our first time purchasing one. Since the initial interaction, and even well-AFTER the sale took place, Rick S. delivered a personalized level of service that prioritized our personal interests and experience. You will feel valued and prioritized when you buy from Rick and his team. Disclosure: I have had no prior interactions and I have no relationship with this company or any of the employees.
The sales manager Justin was very helpful. Gave us information we were unaware of, appreciated his time.
We needed a part for our Hurricane deck boat canopy. We did not have a part number. We talked to Mandie in the parts dept. She could not have been more helpful. Since we live over 50 miles away she asked us to take a picture of the part we needed. She took it from there. She found the part. We are truly very grateful for all her help. Thanks again, Mandie. We did not buy our boat from this dealership but that did not matter to her.
Great service from Nice staff plus they had my hard to find part.
Incredible team. Very knowledgeable & professional.
Start to almost finished, the Boat House has been OVER THE TOP in customer service, willingness to make sure we are 110% satisfied, our total experience. We will NEVER go anywhere again for our boating, boating service, boating advice needs. They have been very understanding with the delay in the construction of our boat lift. Truly 7+ stars out of 5 stars.... Special thanks to Bill F., Justin, Rick, Warren, and Zander (who scoped me in a rescue hug to make sure I slid off the bow of our tailored boat safely). Every contact with anybody at Boat House has been 100% impeccable!!!
Greg and Justin made this experience even better
Excellent, friendly people & excellent service
Bill is awesome! Boat is awesome! Would recommend the Boat House to everyone!
They were knowledgeable and honest. I buy parts/fluids, etc from these guys throughout the winter so when I had a problem with my motor, I took it here for service. Chris was great to deal with and Keith is a very knowledgeable Yamaha mechanic. They were able to finish well ahead of schedule and below the original quote. Thx guys. Kew West 2300 SS- Yamaha 250 4 stroke.
We could not be happier with Jeremy and everyone we came in contact with at the boathouse. Jeremy really listened to our needs and helped us fine the perfect boat. We are excited to do some of the monthly get together coming up to meet other boat owners. Thanks Jeremy for a great experience.
We are looking at purchasing a boat and decided to rent a 20 Hurricane deck boat as an attempt to pick a comfortable model/size. Google search led us to The Boat HouseWe drove to Cape Coral as they had the boat available for rental on short notice.Laura was very friendly as she reviewed all boat equipment and inspected the boat. The boat ran great, very clean, and provided a positive experience.Would recommend The Boat House rentals to others based on our experience. We will be considering purchasing from them as we finalize our selections.thanksRandy
I had a major problem with my outboard that “ask for help” on line couldn’t fix and a mechanic couldn’t fix. The guys at the BOAT HOUSE made a couple suggestions to try prior to taking my motor in for service. Problem solved. I am a professional engineer and have worked in the automotive industry, these guys hands on knowledge “takes the prize”. I would rate them six stars if I could.
I am that guy who bought a boat with some motor issues. I have been in a few times over the last two months and Kerry has been great to work with. I had an issue with the warranty and he told who and how to correct it. It was refreshing to have someone straight forward and didnt try to BS me when something minor got missed by the mechanic. Kerry immediately owned it and had it corrected the very next day. Have been in twice since then For routine maintenance and another issue with gauges . Have been pleased with results . Their Yamaha mechanic is amazing and has always gone the extra to make sure its correct. He takes pride in his work and to me it shows. When I was hooking it up he came out and talked to me about what had been going on with it and what he did to get it running great again. ... Well done .....skeeter 2250....
Rick was super nice!!! Great salesman!!!! But has no ethics and does not understand right from wrong. He told me about a deck boat coming in on trade. I waited for two weeks and checking in several times. Rick called and left a message that the boat will be there at 4:30. My wife and I arrived at 4:15 and rick told me the boat was there. He sent us back to dale to check out the boat. We went back to buy the boat and a trailer to go with it (rick knew we were going to buy a trailer also). WOW!!! Rick was selling it to someone else. Im a local realtor and have people ask where to buy all the time. How can I tell them about a place like this? How can I buy from someone I cant trust? You made a sale(if they get approved) 2 minutes faster than a cash sale but you need to ask how many sales in the future did you lose today.
Never did business there, but I called to ask them how I would go about presenting a product they might want to buy. Without going into any detail about my product the man that answered the phone told me they would not be interested in anything and they had everything they needed. Except maybe a personality! Dont think I would ever buy anything from anyone so close minded. Didt seem to think much of customers and too much of himself. And obviously close minded as he quickly shuts down his options of meeting anyone to maybe sell a boat and also his choice to not acquire continuing knowledge of his industry.
Rick and the team at the Boat House in Port Charlotte have been great to work with. Rick sold me a new boat 3 years ago, and has never hesitated to provide me with advice and guidance whenever I give him a call. He is honest and always available - a great representative for Cobalt Boats.
I have a great relationship with the sales and service dept. I bought my new hurricane boat from Rick, the service manager.. Got a great deal and he stood by everything in the contract.. No hassles :-)Kerri, the service manager, and Andy, the Top tech are the go to guys!! awesome customer service and boat service! Timely and very accommodating. I have owned 6 boats prior, and no other service center comes close in comparison. I am very happy in my dealings with THE BOAT HOUSE and wouldnt hesitate to purchase and service my next boat there!!!
Just stopped in, and Rick was a wonderful help with finding a boat. He was straight forward and beyond knowledgeable about center console boats. Im very glad I made the choice to do business with The Boat House, and Im looking forward to doing so in the future!
I live in Port Charlotte I used to have it on call mechanic in New Jersey and is really hard to find a mechanic in Florida theres quite a few many of them these guys to me one of the most honest definitely know what theyre doing how about repairs and Ive brought five different boats in there for various repairs in tune ups and whatnot I have never felt like they took advantage of me highly recommend them guys
Smooth transaction from start to delivery. If you want a class organization that doesnt play games then the boat house is perfect for your next boat purchase!
Would like to thank the staff at the Boat House for being so helpful in the purchasing of my Carolina Skiff. Very pleased with the competitiveness of your company working to get me the best price possible.Would highly recommend checking out the Boat House in Port Charlotte
Danny was very knowledgable about his boats and gave us great advice. We will definitely be shopping with him.
Ive been in this town my whole life. I could tell you where some of the guys at the boat house before they worked there. I took my boat in for an electrical issue and they didnt even look at it. But charged me for what they did. Then I found out they didnt even work on it. They sub-contracted the work to another guy without asking me. I went to get my boat and the hatch doors were open and rain water in my hull. The batteries left on. And the best part was seeing the way they backed my prop up into another boat trailer and I have vibration in my shaft now. It was just complete disregard.
Just got our first brand new boat...A Hurricane its beautiful, and the process was easy, hassle free, The boat house staff are helpful and amazing.. thank you for all your assistance in making this happen for us.
I purchased a brand new Hurricane form the Boathouse in January 2015. When they delivered the boat it was missing several items and few things like the live well, fresh water pump and fish finder did not work. They said someone would be over to our house on the Monday to deliver the missing parts and fix the items that were not working. Three months later after numerous phone calls and emails, I finally managed to get somebody to come over. They fixed the live well and fresh water pump and claimed the missing parts were on order and I could buy (yes buy, because the one provided doesn’t work) a different fish finder and they would send a quote over right away. This is now another two months later and we have not heard from them. Phone calls and emails are completely ignored.
Rick Sommers at the Boat House located in Port Charlotte is a knowledgeable professional who understands the dynamic of matching a prospective boat owner with the right watercraft. He has always dealt honestly and fairly with me, and I recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new or used boat.
What a wonderful, professional, experience dealing with The Boat House. Rick Sommers made the whole process very easy and straightforward.
Rick was great to work for! Truly a great man and a wonderful business to have been employed by.
Dale in the parts department is very knowledgeable, and friendly.
The Boat House in Cape Coral was exceptionaln every area! The staff was friendly, the price was very reasonable, the deck boat was brand new and dream to drive! Next time we need a boat, we will be going back to the Boat House! They make renting hassle and stress free.
My last three boats have been purchased from The Bosthouse. There is no better service. I currently own two Sportsman boats, both from there bought in 2017. This week my trim tabs went out on the 282. Adam sent Andy to my house to fix the issue on sight. The service and sales are to notch.
Great place great customer service
Great business to shop at! No matter what Im looking for on my boat, theyve taken care of all my boating needs.
Fantastic Rick Sommers was knowledgeable, and extremely helpful from sale, delivery and follow up after purchase.I would definitely recommend the Boat House of Port Charlotte to anyone looking for a Hurricane Boat.Great experience!
This is not about their service. They have a talking alarm and its set very loud. It detects people walking on the street ( I checked it ) . It wakes me up all through the night. I realize they need security, but why talking and why SO LOUD ? I asked the manager about that and he said they were in the process of adjusting it. The noise level did go down but now its up again. It actually echos. Im going over there again today. There is no way he is woken up every time that alarm and no way the police go there every time.I checked that too.
Rick Sommers is top notch! Dale in parts/service is one of the most knowledgeable guys I have delt with!!!
Make sure you have EVERYTHING in writing. Follow up on their progress or lack there of every day!! Dont assume they will do what they say. If they tell you parts are ordered, MAKE SURE. If they tell you they are going to work on it the day you drop it off...MAKE SURE. It would have saved me thousands and my lower unit would not be a complete Disaster............Dropped lower unit off a 2011 Suzuki DF 250 on Dec the 16th. Due to fishing line getting in prop and causing salt water to get into lower unit. The boat was in use 2 days before I dropped off the lower unit. I was told by Carry ( i was told he was service manager) that it would take a week and a 1/2 to get back as it took 1 week to get parts and a day or so to install. This was very important to me as I wanted to take my boys on a couple diving trips for Christmas Vacation. I was told that there would be approx 4 to 5 hours labor at $108.00 and hour plus the parts. It should be less than $900.00 dollars to repair. They took in the shop immediately and pressure tested in and told me they were going to take it apart and order parts. On Dec the 24th I received a call which I thought was going to be to tell me to come pick it up. Instead, I was asked which way the prop spins. I told Carry that it is counter rotating and asked if it was done and can I pick it up. He told me that they just took it apart a few minutes before he called me and were going to order parts that day. (it was supposed to be taken apart the day I dropped it off) I was not pleased but what could I do? I showed up the following Monday to check on it. I think he was surprised to see me as he said he was just getting ready to order parts. I went in the back and it made me sick when I saw my lower unit in pieces laying on a bench absolutely ruined and seized up beyond repair. It looked like it has been on the sea floor for months. It was far far beyond 2 days worth of rust. My lower unit was and is absolutely destroyed. Had they taken it apart or doe anything they told me it would have been moderate fix. They left it for a couple of weeks before doing anything to it. The big Irony is how Carry went on and on about how important it was to get it taken apart right away when I dropped it off....... I had to buy a compete new lower unit. I was told by the store manager to wait till the next day and his regular service guy would be in and they would get me another estimate and would work with me to make it right....WRONG. I received a call the next day and was told it would cost $1,900 in parts and approx $700.00 in labor and he stressed the fact that it could be more......I ended up buying a new Lower Unit yesterday for $3,600 bucks plus Tax. I certainly feel through Carrys incompetence that they directly cost me a minimum of $2,600. They did nothing they said, Carry flat out lied about ordering parts, and taking the lower unit apart, then shirked any type of responsibility. I did let the store manager know but other than apologize and say that they would work with me to make it right nothing was done.....BEWARE!!! I wish I could post pictures on here of the Clean lower unit that I took to them and the box of mangled rusted parts they have that I have no Idea how to put back together. Literally a box of rusted seized up parts is what they have for me..........Update. Ill have to agree with the other review about lack of ethics. I went in today to pick up my box of rust and seized up parts. They literally sprayed oil on them right before they handed them to me. One of the boys in the shop told me. I stopped by to talk with Rick and it ended up getting heated and out of control but in the end. They are totally shirking any responsibility. They went from apologizing and saying they would work with me to make it right to trying to blame it on me for something about not having my credit card on file to order parts. That was the 1st time I had heard that. ....Guess it took them a while to think that one up. I guess they must have lost it. ...
Rick at The Boat House of Port Charlotte took his time and walked me through everything on the purchase of my new boat. I couldnt be happier with his top notch sales knowledge and service. Hell be the only one I go to when Im ready to trade up. Thanks.
Worst dealership I’ve ever purchased anything from. Run from this place and run FAST!!!!!
Very helpful definet for all my further business
I just dropped off some paperwork at the boat house and some keys so they could sell my boat for me
I get all my boat parts there. Dale in parts is very knowledgeable and helpful. They carry every part Ive ever needed.
Has most of your boating needs
Great inventory, staff knows what they are talking about.

We had a great time with our boat rental this past may! We were staying with my aunt in Cape Coral and they were able to accomadate our whole party into one boat. Not a lot of places can do that! We had 9 people with us! We had a blast and went all the way from Cape Coral to Cayo Costa to do some shelling with time to spare! It was choppier than we all remembered but we had a great time nonetheless. Everyone working that we interacted with were very nice and explained everything very well and got us in and out before and after the boat rental! HIGHLY recommend to anyone staying in or around Cape Coral looking for some good shelling! Sanibel and Cayo Costa are the places to be!!
Very professional very pleased with the work
Friendly and helpful staff. They take time to answer your questions.
I have purchased four new boats during my life, and my experience with the Boathouse was the worst. My salesperson was gone soon after I made the purchase, which did not bode well for me. If I could do it again, I would not. Beware.
Great service, Kerri was a pleasure to work with. Thank you.
I sometimes get parts here. Dale is nice and helpful.
Friendly people with an excellent product and staff!!
Going to purchase a 40 foot pontoon boat
Al was great
