Nathan at Menards pretty much taught us how to completely remodel our bathroom. He’s an absolute asset to their team. Couldn’t be happier with the outstanding customer service and prices.

This is the Fort Gratiot, Michigan Menards. I really like this Menards. They look organized as far as I can see. The deals are good. But we like to shop mostly during the 11% off sale.The grocery items are very comparable to Meijer or Walmart. So if I need a few things I dont feel like we are over paying in that department. They also carry dairy items!!I feel like Menards in a whole has everything you need.We have used there outside lumber area many times. We find that it is very easy to locate what you purchased. The guys at the gate at this store are the friendliest. They even had a treat for our dog! There is always someone on a high low to help load. And they are very willing to help.I recommend this location highly.

Good selection of various items, even includes a small grocery section. Things are quick and easy to find, checkout areas are quick and simple. Exceptional covid safety standards from what I saw.Got hired to work part time here, will update review from an employee perspective after a month or so to help give insight into working for them as well.

I had never been here before and I was so pleasantly surprised! The selection of literally EVERYTHING you would need was so cool! You can pick up lumber at the same time as picking up cereal and milk! Absolutely fun to walk around and explore the store!The associates were SO friendly and nice! I remarked that it seems like they hired all of the nice people in Port Huron just to have a wonderful store! And all of the associates seemed genuinely happy, not just the normal “happy cause I have a job” happy. I will definitely be going back here! Really neat store!

I have been going to this store many years, lately it became very unpleasant experience. I was buying sending papers to refinish old wood floors and they raised price from $4.59 to $8.59.I tried to return tool that didnt work and they refused because i didnt have recipe. I do have my bank statement that shows purchase.I am not going to that store anymore. Tired of corporations taking advantage of hard working people.I will buy material and tools online and much cheaper.

This location is great. Super clean and friendly staff. Now that I know where everything is, I like better than the other 2 DIY stores. The 11 percent rebate is a huge plus!

Tried to buy material and while checking they went trough cart. i asked what are you looking for, they said, people steal so we are checking, its store policy. i told them i am not criminal and its rude to treat people that way. i believe its civil right violation and store policy is not posted anywhere. i told them i am not buying it, its my policy. i left to different store. on the other hand, they didnt check everybody.

In the summer I am here almost every morning before work. They open early, which is great if you are an early morning person such as myself. I love their garden section and have made a TON of purchases with them. From flowers, to trees, fountains to birdfeeders, they always seem to have something I need. In addition, they also have an excellent paint and tile section where I could ask staff questions about my home improvement projects. I highly recommend a visit if you are looking for affordable prices (they have rebate offers) for your list of TO DOs.

Today we picked up an online order of 69pcs of 8ft shiplap. The order girl working in the back was snarky about my order details but a young man working on the floor went out of his way to help make our experience less painful. Unfortunately I have forgotten for sure but Dwayne or Darren was his name I think. These are the employees that deserve raises and praises. He showed us where our item was and also helped us load all 69pcs from upstairs whereas the girl in the back just sent us to the wood by the stairs in one of those aisles. Gotta love good employees!

I got exactly what I needed because a Menarss employee in the electronic Department. Knew what he was doing. Nice job!!!

I love shopping at menards only thing that bothered me this time was I had to have something loaded..I waited a long time and a stranger walking by asked me if I needed help...he loaded it for me...menards do not make people wait a long time to help them I am semi disabled and in tho8s weather I do not want to be standing outside my car waiting

Poor service. Cashier told me I needed to bring my 6 bags of dirt to the cash register. I responded, scan in the code for the dirt I want. The answer was No. I explained my back couldnt handle loading loading six bags. They eventually had someone bring up the dirt but he didnt load it and nobody showed up who would. I did it myself; further injured my back even more! For now on its Home Depot and Lowes. NO MORE MENARDS!!!!!

Employee RecognitionI payed cash on my purchase 04/01/2021. I gave the cashier [Roy] $45 cash. As I walked away Roy called out to me, I dropped a $50 and he handed it back. He could of very easily kept the $50. No one of seen it, Not even the customers behind me. I was very proud of this guy. My first instinct was to hug him. LOL. Just flat out a GREAT GUY.

Surprisingly GrossFound a pretty big cockroach by the insulation. When I told an employee, his reaction was to say I wouldnt be surprised and to then walk off.I usually go here because of their selection and prices but I think Ill take the drive up to Lowes from now on.

I normally dont shop here because the quality just seems lesser then everywhere else. I needed something that was out of stock everywhere else but they had it. I have to say it was a nice experience. Employees are super helpful and polite. When i asked where something was, i was walked to the product and he helped load them in my cart then had someone help load my jeep. Glad i stopped in.

Customer service lacks - theres plenty of people at the registers, but nobody available to assist throughout the aisles. More often than not, there are lines at the building supplies counter and not an employee to assist.

This was my first time at this store and we had a good experience. They have everything from lighting to Furniture to odds and ends for around the house. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable. There is lots of free parking outside the building.

Menards is decent when it comes to customer service. But they continue to offer and sell items from China with no apparent effort to source USA and local items. I have found myself going back to Home Depot and Menards for better quality items and lumber. YMMV.

Clean environment, friendly staff. Cashier Diane was a breath of fresh air, and a ray of sunshine. The customer ahead of us asked her to lift his lumber for her to scan, and instead of telling the customer NO like she should have, she lifted the boards for the big strong man, and scanned them. Kudos to you, Diane!

The worker literally ran into me to ask if I had a mask. I started to explain my health condition, as if I needed to. He told me it’s store policy. My response was, it’s store policy to not care about my health condition? His response was “YES” I appreciated his honesty.

Discriminants against people with disabilities and will kick you out. Dont even bother if you have a true medical service dog as well. Told me I wasnt welcomed and to leave now...

Might as well had a self checkout. Bought 4 bags of potting soil and 6 and 8 foot folding tables. Young cashier waited for my 50 year old body to move them. Stood there looking at me to roll over a bag of potting soil so she could scan it. Pitiful!

Bathrooms are always dirty / filthy and the sinks have never been scoured in MONTHS .... its layers of grease n grime build up on the inside of the bowl, faucets etc. It either needs a gut or actually CLEANED PROPERLY for once. Probably would not pass health inspection or codes esp during C-19 Its definitely not a sanitary cleaning!!!!LACK OF MANAGEMENT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Spent $5,000 or more just recently here on flooring and kitchen cabinets. Everyone at the store has been awesome until recently including Branson the store manager who helped me with my kitchen cabinets. Wife and I went in like we do every other day to shop here for the home we are fixing up and let’s just say some people can’t handle the little power they receive when the manager is away. Patty a awful and miserable lady felt the need to attack me in front of everyone in the store for my mask being just below my nose and how I will not be rung up because of this. Never been so embarrassed and to sit there and listen to her tell me she’s in charge and there’s nothing I can do. She would hear or listen to nothing I had to say except that I can go ahead and contact corporate they won’t do anything. Basically Patty’s untouchable with Menards management apparently or at least in her head. Sorry to not go back here ever again because like I said everyone else has been amazing the hundreds of time we’ve been in.

I like going to Menards but wouldnt allowed people to come in their store without a mask even though I have medical condition and couldnt wear a mask because I cant breathe and I have panic attacks from wearing it and I was told to wear one or get out I havent been back since.

We had a great experience purchasing our items and even returning something that we couldnt use because it was the wrong item. Everyone was very helpful and even helped us load a heavy door into our van. My husband is disabled so it was much appreciated!

We are remodeling a house and spend a ton of money at this store, but from now on we will be going to Lowes and Home Depot. They treat their customers right and let them make important health decisions on their own! Its too bad Menards has gone all dictator on their customers, we loved shopping here. They have definitely lost a lot of business because of it, their parking lot was always full through every time of year, now they are always super empty when we pass by!

As the stars show, its ok. I still shop there, though not my first choice. Seems every time I go it gets harder and harder to find what I need and no one seems to be available to help. Not that they wouldnt, just cant find them. Most of the staff is very friendly. Menards has some great hard to find things and is a good place to go. Right now they have great deals on Halloween stuff, yes its out. Recommend taking your time to shop.

Plumbing has the worst management ever! Kelly in plumbing, sales team member, very rude. Don’t encounter her! Erin and Danielle the 2 working managers are stuck up and also very rude. Always something to cry about. The only 2 associates i recommend, if i can remember their names, they are Glenne and Johnathon. Those 2 are they only ones i would speak to with!!!

Staff was helpful in finding items.

Everyone was very helpful! My outdoor carpet was cut and ready in just a few minutes. An employee helped me maneuver the cart to the checkout. Then someone helped me, by folding it and putting it into the Jeep. Good bargain and wonderful employees!

They have good prices and a good variety of merchandise. I have been to several Menards and the store map to find items is no help at all. Its pretty much a somewhere in this area location. And it is very hard to find someone to help you. Also the stores employees are using a lot of the larger lumber type carts.

A very nice black man named John helped me today. I came to the store and no electric carts were available so I used a wheelchair. I needed a storage tote but wasnt sure where they were. I asked John and he said the other end of the store. Im 80 years old and my shoulders are not good and the wheelchair takes a tole on them. John offered to push me there. He was right it was a long way. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated his effort. Thank you John.

I get it, times are tough but it’s almost comical your security guard thought someone was going to steal a $1 bandana after spending $300+ in your store. A bandana, that was used, WITH THE TAG ON, because a mask was required to enter. Accidents happen. The level of unprofessionalism that took place today was absolutely uncalled for. Do better Menards.

I bought 14 bags of red mulch and had to return them all due to excessive mold. Handling it made me very sick. I had to return them in 4 times because they were heavy. Poor management interaction.

I would say 5 stars because they have good products, but they police their customers. I didnt have a mask with me, and there was a guy at the door who made it clear that he thought I was going in to the store for the soul purpose of making everyone in the store so sick that they might die. That was SOOO WRONG!!! I had every intention of maintaining social distancing. Masks are really bad to wear if you want to stay healthy. I have a really good immune system, wearing a mask is really bad for your immune system! Your immune systems is VERY important right now. If I dont want to get me or anyone else sick I have to keep my immune system good!! Dont try to ultimately compromise the health of your customers!!!! If a customer feels like they shouldnt wear a mask it is up to THEM!!

Returned some items. Menards Customer Service Desk made the transaction easy and painless. A very positive experience! My favorite big box store in the area.

They don’t care about you just your money your just a dollar sign.if you have any condition we’re you can’t we’re a mask medically don’t come here regardless of how much you tell them they don’t care at all about you. Mabey you will get to meet Andrew who will threaten to call the cops on you for being medically unable to wear a mask. What a good place to shop.hopefully this place will close, Also being a Army Special Forces veteran were I’m unable to wear one let me say this. To All my veterans, they don’t respect us enough to honor are pains and injuries of combat and war.And the sacrifices are brothers and sisters made. That in itself makes me never shop her. My wife was told by an employee that she needed to cover her mouth and nose completely when shopping. She lowered her mask because it was causing her glasses to fog up while she was trying to read.I understand the store requires masks, but we were in an aisle by ourselves and she came over within two feet of us to deliver her message.As we continued our journey we came across 5 other associates and 10 other shoppers that were not complying by covering their noses.Needless to say my wife was a bit upset that the associate was not telling everyone to cover up.

Rude service!! Me and my have lung issues and cant wait masks. Some worker came out throwing a scene! Yelling at us!! I told him we have medical conditions and couldnt wear one continuing to yell he said oh well! OhtOh well they our business forever!

Guys in the garden center more than willing to help us load 12 trees, they had great customer service BUT the same can not be said for the Customer Service desk !!! The lazy young man at the customer service desk talking to us like we were breaking a law asking to drive in lumber yard to pick them up since they don’t have garden center doors open. “ I don’t know who told you we can do this but for future reference this is not allowed” basically telling us good customer service is not allowed.

They are very busy right now but still able to assist your needs
