I came looking for one thing: depression Vaseline glass. I hate to give away a great find, but.... I found a great selection here! The store is packed full, but still able to move comfortably. Its well lit and clean, with a nice little cafe you can grab a bite or something to drink while waiting for the rest of your party to finish shopping. I cant wait to go back!
First time here. We came down from Seattle and this place is just awesome. Came home with a basket full of items that are so neat. Super friendly staff and they took care of packaging up my little items. We also bought a plant and I just love it. Well be back whenever were in town again. Thx.
A delightful space to spend an afternoon.. or an entire day. There’s so much to see! Prices vary (a $2 brand new CD still in packaging to $200 almost rags) by vendor, but there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is lovely and so are the staff. They held our bags, but put them in the back and I felt very secure. They’re friendly and informative and the immense size of the place makes social distancing easy. Even if you don’t make a purchase please visit just for the enjoyable experience. I love the vintage junk novels!
Many antique dealers in one place, easy to navigate and lots of fun pieces.
If you want to spend a day in an antique mall please come here. Ever seen a mayonaiser? Ask no more, they got one! Plants, pants and other curiosities. Super cute Cafe with delicious food and drinks is inside of the Mall.
Huge selection. The place is packed full of a little of whatever you’re looking for. Like most antique places the prices are all over the place but mostly too high. Some of the stuff is too crowded, some of the stuff is too high. The staff is present and helpful so if you can’t reach it or don’t want to try - ask! There is an attached cafe - such a nice treat! Also they have complementary popcorn, which is a little hard to find. Provisions are necessary either way as the place is big enough to get lost in!
Great place to shop. Little pricey. But always good mix of vintage finds.
Thousands of items. You could spend 2 hours and not see everything. The prices didnt seem ridiculous as they sometimes do at antique shops. And the place has a great atmosphere. Theres a place to eat and get coffees but be forewarned that they dont allow you to browse with a drink..I didnt try anything from the café
Lots of Antiques to look at. Love it
The most wonderful displays by vendors that Ive ever seen! Plus, beautiful houseplants are also available and reasonably priced.
Love it🥰 I always go here. Masks are required and hand sanitizer is available around the building for you to use. They are always polite and the prices are very fair. I went with my best friend for my birthday. I bought an 80s rolling stones magazine for only 5 dollars, very fair pricing. I felt very safe while shopping
Interesting trove of collectables. I have yet to explore the entire store but i can say staff is very prompt and friendly.
Great antique and vintage store. Lots of interesting unusual items. Large store so plan on spending a few hours. Also has a nice cafe in the store.
Many small vendors under one roof with a lovely snack bar too. Great way to find new treasures.
We walked into the most amazing collection of antique retro and last century collectibles beyond the wildest imagination, unbeknownst to us as we were looking for a specific piece of furniture for our new farmhouse out in Oregon City. One of those moments where you dont really know the specifics but you kind of sort of want a little table sort of dresser sort of whatever, and this was the perfect place to wander around and be totally amazed and all of the really truly cool things collectible. From the moment you enter you are amazed at all of the little tabletop collectibles, and just the most amazing setup throughout the building. Little designated nukes represent each person displaying their past and their goodies and each little nook or booth you travel by as a completely different story and a completely different feel. And if you do it right you lose about 2 hours of your life looking around and all of the things that are interesting.Once you get done with an area theres a whole another area and I found that the garden area held most of the items I was most interested in. There were huge armoires and wardrobes and bedroom setups that were simply breathtaking. Everything is wonderfully displayed and presented. A candy store of antique and retro goodies to feast your eyes on and there is every imaginable concept of design to see. Staff are incredibly kind and warming with their comments asking if you need any help. We were like a couple of deer in the headlights throughout most of our visit. We did come upon a wonderful Butlers tray table. We were in our Jeep so larger items were disqualified because we would have been unable to haul them off just saying.Located right off of Metro Stark Street couple blocks west off of 82nd. Driven by that area a million times but never thought a wonderful antique store was thriving within the very neighborhood I was driving through. We plan to go back again and most certainly when were looking to fill a void when were in Portland we can certainly easily fill an hour of our time with the Monticello antique marketplace.
So many treasures and treats here. Love this place!
Quality furniture, crafts, antiques, and plants at reasonable prices. Staff is super helpful. I always leave with a bargain.
Awesome. Wonderful collectibles and fantastically helpful staff.
So much to look at. Also cafe friendly staff thanks
Lots of very vintage stuff... Huge place.... Great variety too
Always a fun experience and lovely time. wandering with mimosas in hand makes it even lovelier!
Looking for lighted modern China cabinet. Nothing available
Was not happy with the service here. Husband bought a pickling jar for his mothers birthday. When he brought it home I told him it was to big see if you can take it back and get a smaller one lets just say I had to find a smaller one at another place, I was not happy
I love this place! The employees especially Mike, are always so helpful especially if you need somebody to carry a heavy item for you. The dealers change their booth layouts on a regular basis along with always getting new items in. I rarely find true antiques at the other antique stores in Portland and Vancouver. However, I am never disappointed when I make a drive out to Monticello and find the really old antique piece that I can add to my collection!
Lots of interesting items and reasonable prices 🤔
Love this place. So much inventory that is always changing, fair prices, clean store, helpful staff.
Well organized. Great place! We spent over an hour looking over their stuff.
Biggest antique store Ive been to. Very fun place to explore. Merch is well organized.
Our first time here. I was stunned at the prices. Virtually nothing under $20 and way, way, way above. The upside is that with those prices, it was easy to walk out without making a purchase. Not a single thing tempted me. So, my pocketbook was happy. But, it was fun to look around.
Always a good time. Full of treasures.
Great selection of old stuff. And the staff are helpful
Went to visit my interior designers office inside Monticello and had an excellent time walking the giant, winding loop of the market. There are some amazing treasures in this well-curated, upscale antique market!
Quite easily the best antiques mall Ive ever been in. The booths are exceptionally decorated and designed, and frequently updated. None of the antiques are old or tired, theyre all intriguing in one way or another.Even when Im not buying anything I love to peruse whats going on here to get ideas.
Always worth the browse. The shrinkage police are a bit heavy handed, but a business has to do what it has to do.
Always a good time, friendly staff, guaranteed to find something you have to take home.
A very unique consignment shop! They have a bit of everything. You will definitely go,through memory lane. Prices are very reasonable. You could be in there 15 min to hours just looking through everything. Staff is friendly but you have to go find them, there not on you face. I have been to a lot of of consignment shops and this one is one of my favorites. They have a cafe attached so you can go eat then walk around. We did this on a Sunday. Not too busy.
Well organized and easy to browse. Items were pretty pricey and there was no willingness to haggle.
Love this Antique store! Every time I visit Portland I stop in here & find a treasure. HUGE selection with unique antiques and estate items. Decent prices and great customer service. you wont regret visiting!
Fun place to go, restaurant inside has a great bagel sandwich
Great and varied high-quality stuff, nice displays.
By far the nicest antique and collectibles mall in Portland metro, if not the state. And Ive been to them all! Outstanding customer service and a cafe too!
Awesome vibes and I loved the varietyof randomness...some rooms were kinda weird though, they had old, personal, b&w pictures of someones family and babies, in a bowl for sale, along with other weird personal items one wouldnt think would sell? 🤷♀️ either way, this WAS a cool spot.
It seems like I only give 5 stars to places that I am reviewing. But thats because they deserve it and Montis Cafe is one that deserves it for sure. They make everything from scratch. Ive never had a bad meal there. When I am in the area I pick that place for lunch. Homemade soups homemade breads homemade salads and drinks. I highly recommend.
Love the jewelry and other random finds I find there. Ive been long time coming here for 10 years. Like the cafe. Only thing I have noticed some things have been priced on the more expensive side, kinda sucks about that. But always love my well worth it finds. A cool spot to come to.
It was a great place to go to! Nice place!
Very nice.
Its definitely got a certain type of crowd that hangs here, but I go for the different flavored mimosas and to check out the antiques. Not a bad spot to work from either, they have some pretty large tables.
Great place to find those unusual gifts.
Fun experience if you like antique shops.
I love this wonderful place
The Cafe claims to serve organic home made pastries, but I know for a fact they use Betty Crocker and other instant mixes and simply add a fresh fruit to each item to give it the appearance of a home baked good. Most items labeled organic are falsely labeled, and they have fired disabled people rather than accommodating them on the basis that they dont fit in with the rest of the staff. Stay away from this terrible place.
Some wonderful treasures here. After we moved here from Iowa, I found furniture to replace pieces I had left behind. Also a good place to find gifts for collectors.
Nice little coffee shop and cafe. Lots to look at, displays change seasonally, the place is clean and well lit. The patio has lots to metal arches, birdbaths, odd and ends from little to very large.
Overpriced and unfriendly, rude staff. I noticed later my credit card was charged for items i did not purchase. I had to go through my credit card company to have my card credited. Check your receipts.
There is so many great things here. If your looking for a unique item for your home or garden this is that best place to go!! They have a very nice cafe with amazing food! The staff is so very helpful!
Always fun to peruse the wonderful antiques & memorabilia here!!
Overpriced junk or treasure to some of us it will always be the latter if thats you youll love everything about it 😉
A VERY wonderful place.
A large and interesting Antique Marketplace. I find the Antiques available in Portland are very American.
Great overall selection from multiple vendors under one roof. Well lit and clean showing area. Buying is easy and staff is friendly and helpful. If your hands get full or you have larger items but would like to keep looking, staff will take your finds and hold them at the register for you. If you are unable to take a piece home that day they will hold it until you come back. Would highly recommend that you check this place out!
This place is awesome. SO many antiques, and they set them up in nice little displays. The best part? They are affordable. The staff is also friendly.
Most favorite place to shop for antiques and have lunch.
Great place! Lots of amazing vendors, and very few faux antiques.
Great antique mall. Clean, well-organized. Even have mimosas and a cafe. Good way to spend a rainy day.
Absolutely one of the best Antique stores in Portland. Love this place. If owner of both re-stocking. You can make friends and talk down price. As I said love it. Lots of areas to! FURNITURE, Smaller items, books, old jewellery you name it they have it!
Exquisitely curated antiques. The booths are asthetically intriguing and well managed. This place is definitely worth visiting.
Its a nice store, with a lot of stuff. Minus one star for the lady with short, grey hair who followed me around the store the entire time I was shopping.
Lots of high quality stuff at fair prices. We didnt try out the on-site cafe but appreciated this unique offering as well. We werent sure where to park. And, for other country bumpkins visiting the city, be prepared for the traffic -- about 15 to 20 mins to go 5 miles. Locals expect this, Im sure, but visitors from out of the area will appreciate the heads up!
Its the best antique store on the east side. Love it there. And the improved cafe is very nice. I would definitely recommend going in. Its always changing with new stuff all the time.
A very large store with practically everything under the sun offered. Many vendors rent spots lined up in several aisles. The staff is mostly helpful - a few are on a mission. Theres an adjoining café and nice seating arrangements.
I can always count on a good few hours of fun treasure hunting, a hot cup of tea to top it off!
Just love this place. They have their act together, and the vendors have a great range of stock that turns over regularly...
Thee most awesome place ..100s of lil stores inside one.... with food and drinks ...i can spends days here and never wish to leave ..this store ...u have to do 1 of 2 things ..bring money or bring none because u will want to buy endless stuff here period ..you been warned....love this place
Great place with unique finds get an early start!Just bought a wonderful vintage chair and a few other items customer service is always on point!
Interesting, clean nice things, be careful with your purchases, some of the lighting are not wired well, snap, hiss, pop breakers when plugged in at home . Its not the stores fault. I believe the vendor was misled about the quality if rewiring she had done, by a not quite honest lamp repair place. A year passed. Same thing . Lighting just isnt what it appears to be. Be careful
Absolute best coffee!
I LOVE this place. They always have such an amazing amalgamation of unique and quirky vintage items to choose from. I never leave empty handed. The owners and staff are exceptional and offer premium customer service. You hiring ;
Great place for treasure hunting. I always find something to take home. It’s nice to have the cafe inside there as well.
A wonderful ace to hunt around for antiques or just spend a lazy afternoon window shopping. There is a cafe there and placea to rest your feet and eyes from all the goodies on display. The staff are friendly and helpful too! All round a great ace to go shop for something other places just dont have.
Antiquated business policy. First Ill say its a nice shop and the employees are kind and helpful. However, they have a 0 tolerance return policy. I understand not doing returns as they pay the dealers of the items you purchase. But this return policy is in effect even if you purchase and decide to return the item before taking it out of the store. This was my specific scenario. I bought a very nice table to use in my studio apartment with the plan to pick it up over the next couple of days. I went home and remeasured my space and found it to be too small to use. I went back to the store to try and cancel my purchase and was told that even though they still have the item and I never carried it out, they could not refund me for the item I wanted to return because the dealer had already been paid. A suggestion that I think would make this business more customer friendly is to hold the payment to the dealer until the item is removed from the store by the customer, or at a minimum do a partial refund with a holding fee. Both of these are common sense easy suggestions that dont leave customers walking away with a bad experience. I likely wont be returning to this place which is unfortunate because they had a lot of great things. I learned an expensive lesson in still needing to ask about specific stores return policies before purchasing. Had I known I would have remeasured at home before making the purchase.
Nice antique mall to browse in. Helpful staff. Decent prices. Cozy little coffee shop cafe to relax and grab coffee or quick bite inside the mall too.
Great selection, especially for outdoor/patio furniture. Lots of fun treasures to find and very reasonable prices! Staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful! Will definitely be going back
This place is so awesome! And so huge, I didnt realize how much space they had. You will literally need 2-3 hours to see everything!
We love this place. Have found quite a few things over the years at the store. Its even more fun that they serve mimosas and you can walk around and shop.
Fun vintage shopping experience! Found lots of great pieces, for reasonable prices. You can find a deal here. They arent as proud of their stock as some places, like Urbanite. The cafe is adorable and tasty!
My favorite antique store!
Cool stuff
This place is very fun to shop! They have high ticket items and plenty of low ticket items that are interesting and of good quality. If youre there, and you want to take a break from shopping, you can pause for a hot beverage or snack. Parking for this store, as well as for most places in Montavilla, can be challenging.
I recommend spending some time to look around this shop, great and friendly customer service! Im sure that something for everyone could be found in here to suit anyones budget! Find something you never knew you always wanted!
I love this place! Can’t wait to come back again on my next visit!
Fun place to shop for antiques. Vendors vary in goods and pricing. They are really good at moving and rotating goods. Can almost always find a treasure.
Great little deli/bakery/coffee shop inside. Like most antique dealers, higher retail pricing on many items. Still a fun place to shop. Interesting and unique pieces to be found here.
