I have used Fix Auto East for many years, on large projects and small. Their service is always outstanding. Impeccable work at a reasonable cost.

No parking when I came by in my rental to see my car. No guidance on how best to identify damage as it relates to determining if a car is repairable. Too quick to say my car was an obvious total loss. Why bother with my inspection??? It raised my hopes initially, but then my insurance chose to total my car anyway. Very painful and emotional experience.

There are some really good people in this world!!I called Fix Auto Portland East on Friday to request a quote for the repair of damage done to the driver’s side rear wheel well and mud flap of my car. William took my call. I told him about the mishap I had while backing out of my garage. (I hit a car parked in my driveway! How embarrassing! lol!). He was so kind and shared a few good stories he collected about other people’s mishaps over the years. It made me feel so much better to hear other people had stories similar to mine! We agreed that I would send him some photos and he would write a quote for me, which he did. We discussed the quote over the phone and he asked if I could take my car in to the shop so he could take a closer look at it. To my surprise, when he was able to physically examine the damage, he told me that it didn’t look as bad as the photos. In about 5 minutes, he was able to reattach the plastic wheel well piece to the car & mud flap and send me on my way. Such a wonderful act of kindness!!Well, they now have a customer for life. This man’s honesty and kindness made my day!!

After a major storm I brought two vehicles to the shop. I found them to be very courteous and professional, never felt rushed and was given time to thoroughly go over estimates in great detail.I found the shop based on searches showing them regularly on the top list of companies to deal with. It was an extra bonus that they were a select service shop for my insurance company as well. I highly recommend the shop and should the need arise I will definitely use them again

Fix Auto Portland East is so great!! I took my car in for a repair that we had been putting off for several years, feeling a little overwhelmed by the cost. They gave me several options, and we were able to fix the damage in a way that felt good for a reasonable price. The work was done quickly and I got my car back before I expected. I highly recommend taking your car here if you need work done. They are honest, kind and do very high-quality work.

I called fix auto East on Stark and explained I was in a hit and run, and asked if I could use my only insurance tow get the vehicle there to get evaluated, while insurance sorts out the claim. they told me yes, and that they don’t charge storage fees. Neither of us knew how long the claim would take. 2 months later, I’m informed by fix that my case is taking too long and the owner is considering charging me late fees, even though I asked beforehand to prevent this situation from happening. It was completely within Fix Auto East’s power to call my insurance and ask if they could simply make the obvious totaled evaluation while the insurance claim is processed. Instead, yet again, I get explained about how I’m lucky I’m not getting charged storage fees, and how that could change. So the takeaway here is that fix WILL change their policy PER customer if they get upset with you, even when it’s out of your power. I could not afford the almost $100 per day, so I had to pay out of pocket to get the vehicle towed to my house while I wait on the insurance claim. Fix could have had my insurance tow It to my house, they could have made the evaluation on the vehicle. I will never use fix ever againEDIT: Fix is now trying to say its unfortunate that he didnt purchase the right insurance coverage. This is completely false. I am STILL waiting on portland police department to complete the police report so that my insurance can determine if I use my uninsured coverage or my standard collision! This is absolutely outrageous and unprofessional, disclosing my coverage information to the public (even though its false) is not legal. Also I was never informed about your brand new 51 day storage rule when I explicitly called to ask Susan about it, and was told no such rule exists. They are also upset they didnt make any money from ME, (HA) or my insurance company, that is because you didnt make any attempt to do so. You have not heard the end of this.To Recap: I was in hit and run, called fix to ask if I could store my care there while insurance deals with claim, get told yes, ask if there are storage fees, get told no never. My car gets there, police have not filed report yet so its just sitting in their yard. They never bother to ask my insurance to make the evaluation. The claim takes too long now they want the car gone, so I have to pay out of pocket. Shame they wernt a little more patient because they would have made their money, some people know how to business and some dont.

Had a great experience with Fix Auto East! They repaired my mirror that was damaged from an overnight hit and run. Service was quick once all the parts were in, and the staff was clear and communicative during the entire process. There was a slight issue when I went to pick up the car (the mirror has a camera that needed ‘aiming’ and they didn’t have the equipment) but they were quick to address and solve the issue, scheduling someone to come take care of it the next business day at no additional charge! Everyone I interacted with there was very kind, friendly, and helpful (even the shop kitty). My mirror is like new and I’m back on the road. Would recommend this shop to family and friends, thanks Fix Auto East!

I got in my first car accident in October 2020, got rear ended and needed a new bumper. Fix was recommended to me by my Grandmas neighbor. At first I was overwhelmed at the idea of dealing with where to go and insurance but Fix took care of basically everything, they were very communicative and just an overall pleasant experience from start to finish. The office cat Sookie was also very warm, welcoming, respectful and was the cherry on top to my experience. Fix did an excellent job. They explained everything they needed to do and kept me updated every step of the way. While I hope I never need to use a body shop again, if I do, I will take it to them.

The repair was for damage caused by people trying to steal the vehicle. The steering column shroud was destroyed wiring cut and several sensors damaged. The repairs were done quickly, in fact it was returned several days early, vehicle interior and exterior had been cleaned and the repairs look good. Working with the people was easy, we were kept appraised of the situation and I would definitely use the service again.

Took my truck in for an auto accident that I wasnt at fault for... They gave me the estimate and tried to schedule repair. I asked a few questions and Fix Auto told me I would have to deal with usaa and they didnt want to work on my truck. Ussa clear me for the additional repair. I guess they didnt like me asking questions about my repairs. I believe they just want dumb customers that will settle for inferior/half repairs. Remember you can choose who you work with on repairs.

My Honda Pilot was hit by another car while it was parked and I had to take it to a shop. I had no idea who to take it to, so I contacted a friend who does a lot of work on his own cars. He recommended only one place…FIX Auto. For due diligence, I got quotes from FIX and a couple of other shops and they were about the same in price. I ended up going with my friend’s recommendation and was extremely satisfied.William was my liaison at FIX and he kept me up-to-date on what was going on (he sent pictures of the progress, communicated with the insurance company, and worked with the mechanics). He was very responsive to all my questions and concerns and got back with me in a timely manner. All the employees introduced themselves when I went into the shop and they assured me I would be taken care of (and I was). Finally, when I picked up my car, it looked just like it did prior to the accident. No gap differences between the hood, door and front end, the paint matched perfectly, and all seals looked great. I don’t typically write reviews, but FIX Auto was worth writing about.

I drive a 1999 Toyota Camry. I rounded a post too closely and did some unsightly, but superficial damage to the drivers side. Because of the age of the car, the insurance declared it a total loss. To me, it was not a total loss. I am the sole owner, and with only 99,000 miles and an excellent maintenance record the car has much safe life left. The insurance company was not shooting straight with me on my options. William Bray, one of the FIX owners walked me through the situation and helped me understand my options. Based on his solid direction, I was able to negotiate a great deal with my insurance company and keep the car. Fix is replacing the drivers side mirror for a very fair price. I am very grateful to William and FIX for helping me look after my best interests. Integrity, honestly and straight forward practical advice are not always there nowadays. Refreshingly, I found those traits at FIX. Hopefully I wont have to use FIXs services again. If I do, they have my loyalty for life.

I bought a (for me new) Honda CR-V in June, the car I had dreamed of for sixteen years. Three months later someone decided to turn to the right against a stop sign and hit my car on the passenger side. I was so mad I could have cried as I thought the damage would be visible even after the car was fixed. I googled up a few body shops in Portland and chose Fix Auto Portland East and Im so glad I did. I picked up my car today and its absolutely perfect!! You cant tell it was ever damaged!! But thats not all: I called them yesterday as Im opening a new business and I had to pick up my store sign and my rental car was too small. The estimated completion time was the following week because they were waiting for parts (which is understandable), but this morning they called and said the parts had arrived the previous day (after my phone call) and my car was ready this afternoon! They must have worked on it beyond their work hours, which is simply astonishingly amazing. I am so grateful to have my car back in pristine condition. Fix Auto Portland East gets 10 stars and a huge plus from me. This place is an absolute gem!

First, I have waited a year and a half to write this review to make sure my anger for them was not a temporary one. It is not. I had brought my less-than-a-year-old car in for moderate front damage repair. This was late November. I should have went elsewhere after my first experience with them. I had scheduled an appointment to get a quote for my insurance. When I turned up for that appointment that they said I needed, they then told me that they don’t give quotes of any kind and that the appointment was not necessary.I was told that it would be two weeks for the repairs to be made. It wasn’t until January that it finally was done and about twenty phone calls later. When I drove it away it sounded like it was about to die. I was treated so horribly by them I couldn’t stand to even go back in. I ended up selling the car a week later in the condition of their repair and I lost $7,000 off what I should have been able to sell it for because of how horrible it ran.

My experience with FixAuto Portland East was stress free from beginning to end. The staff was exemplary, they were profesional and communicative. They set a time frame to have the bumper fixed, and they were able to finish before their estimated date. Most importantly, my bumper looks good as new. I highly recommend this location.

I know nothing about cars. I say this to convey just how seriously I took my choice of services to take care of my car - I needed someone I could trust, and I was not disappointed. Ive been taken advantage of before, and even when I can find high quality work for a reasonable price typically something like customer service suffers - I have never felt so taken care of, in such a surprisingly pleasant experience.Fix Auto East is one of the best reviewed auto-body shops in Portland, and for service such as this I dont mind having to drive across Portland (I live in NW) to get to them. Dont be fooled by the smaller exterior, its bigger than it looks, and they have an enormous garage in back.Right away I was greeted with smiles and courteous care. I didnt have a lot of money to work with, but had a lot of work spread throughout my car to do as I have a very high deductible. The owner even directly worked with me to get me the best bang for the buck, and they did! They actually managed to do more than they said they were going to and charged me just a hair less than the initial estimate which was already on par with other estimates: when does that happen these days?! Talk about integrity.Adults I know today never feel so insecure as when they leave the house without their cell phone, license, and credit card. The license doesnt do us any good without our car, and I was reminded of this by the general lack of freedom from having my car in the garage and having no alternatives. Fix Auto got my car back to me three business days ahead of schedule, and kept me updated on the progress and potential delays fairly constantly without being annoying about it. This helped my anxiety significantly.I waited almost a month before making this review to make sure I didnt miss anything, and the quality of work would stand the test of (at least some) time: I did not, and it has.I cannot recommend these folks highly enough. This is better service and value than Ive encountered anywhere with the benefit of being a local family owned business I could feel good about giving my business to - cant really beat that.

Fast on getting me an estimate, they told me repairs would be a couple weeks out, then called me back a couple days later and told me think it fit me. I wound up getting the repairs done at Lents instead, they gave me immediate service

AMAZING SERVICE. More than the extra mile for service with me. First, they did a great fast job repairing my car from a collision in early 2017. Next, weeks later, I kept hearing an annoying occasional squeaking going over rough terrain. One of their senior guys was patient until he discovered what it was (was very hard to diagnose). Everyone in the office is down to earth, approachable and professional. Id inconvenience myself in the future to have this location work on my vehicle again.

Had to take my car in on Tuesday due to a lady poking some holes in my bumper with her license plate bolts. Was in and out in a matter of minutes. The next day I received a call and a text explaining what was going on with my car and about how long they would be keeping it. Text again on Wed and Thursday for updates as well.Friday I receive another text and a call saying my car was ready for pick up! While I was expecting my car to be fixed, I was not expecting them to clean the inside and wax the outside. I had a wonderful experience with this location. If I ever need any body work I will be taking it here.

Great place if you dont mind waiting a month to get your car fixed. I showed up in person and the owner ignored my request to take a look at my car, cause theyre too busy at the time anyways. Were moving the shop and booked out a month he said, almost annoyed by my request.

I had to visit these guys again the past few weeks because the lock mechanism thingamajigger in my drivers side door broke and wouldnt open any more.Again, they picked me up to get my car when I needed to, and also didnt charge me any labor! It was a pain to get the parts for this car since its old and things are either discontinued or on backorder... but they got the job done.

Fix Auto knew so was coming and had paperwork ready for me. They were ahead of schedule and the fender bender damage now looks new!

Wow, I have dealt with several different body repair shops in the past 5 years, and the fantastic service and attention to detail I got at Fix Auto was amazing. They kept me up to date on every detail of the work, they dealt with insurance for me, they even made reservations for a rental car, had it waiting when I brought my car in, and returned it when the work was done. There was a slight mix up about the part, and they called to update me immediately, explained everything, took responsibility and apologized profusely that there would be a delay. The very next day, they called to say the work was done (ON TIME, despite the mix up) and I could get my car when I wanted. The work was picture perfect, the rest of the car had been washed and even somewhat detailed, and they gave me a free lil flashlight keychain too! :^ )I would recommend them to anyone and everyone, and almost wish I could get hit again so as to deal with their company, perverse as that sounds. They made a fender bender almost enjoyable to rectify!

I came in to have the childlock on my door fixed because the last shop to work on my door didn’t repair it correctly. They were quick to take care of the issue and were very curtious.

On Thursday December 24th 2015 I went to Fix It on McCloughlin Blvd and spoke to Scott who advise us that the vehicle that was towed to their facility to be repaired had been towed to another facility for repair. After being discouraged that the vehicle was not towed on a flat bed per manufacturers recomendations: Scott said that William from the 92 and Stark location would be calling. William called and informed me he had driven the rear end damaged vehicle that did not have working left tail light to the 92nd and Stark locations. First Scott lied to us about the transporation of the vehicle(ie towed and wasnt) and second the vehicle was driven and should of been towed. The vehicle was not drivable per Oregon State laws(working taillights) and second neither Scott or William should of assumed there was not damge to the rear axle/drive train as the estimate was only visional. This unprofessional and irresponsible. When Scott called me back after I accussed him of lying he stated I was upset in which I told him I was disappointed and I did not understand what he had said. I told him please do not insult my intelligence as I have been in accounting for over 30 years and have a very good memory. 01/14/16 I realize you are trying to cover you tracks, but again you fail to mention that William said the rear lights were covered. You are right a I dont like dealing with a company that is not honest or ethical.

I was a tow truck driver here in portland and towed to several body shops in town. I seen many a destroyed vehicle go in a shop, and what they looked like after the repair. Now Lefs is a good shop if his A team guys work on it. So if I wrecked a ferrari I would probably take it there. But they are a giant line shop for an average vehicle, and they push cars thru the shop. They are good, but the numbers are what is important; i.e. $$.When my new truck got a dent Roth & Miller (Fix Auto Body) was my first thought. All the guys there are skilled body persons. They have been in business along time, and their reputation and customer satisfaction is very important to them, (more so then I have seen at any other shop). I seen them do some amazing work, and I know from personal experience that many of their customers are repeat customers, and the children of those customers, (The same family has ran the business for just shy of 70 years). This is truely a multi generational business.They not only did a high quality, guaranteed repair.
