I am more than pleased with my experience having the windshield on my Tacoma replaced by Portland Glass. After being greeted in a warm manner by the lady doing the order, I was treated with respect and professionalism. The installation was scheduled for 8:00 AM the following morning and my truck was taken in with no wait. As promised, the job was completed in a little over than an hour. I was pleased to find the interior clean with no mess from the installation. Excellent job! Kudos to Portland Glass!

Brand new vehicle with cracked windshield from a rock. Rain sensitive and noise canceling glass. Portland Glass was very professional and courteous in every way and fixed it so it’s like brand new with everything working as though accident never happened. And Portland Glass took care of working with insurance. Pretty much effortless for me.

Given the issues of the economy and supply chain crisis, Portland Glass did an excellent job getting my slider door glass replaced. They kept me informed throughout the process and the installation was quick and clean.

What appeared to be a simple glass replacement became quite a challenge as my windows are all wood and made in Canada. So required attention to detail and patience. The young professional they came to my home and worked on it did an outstanding job he took his time he did not hurt the frame or compromise it in anyway he’ll place the glass and then replace the trim and its original places. He did a stupendous job he cleaned up after himself he was incredibly professional. Just so impressed I would use Portland glass again in a minute

Ultimately, we were provided with a job well done. Very high quality mirrors and tub/shower enclosures. Where we think they could improve would be to offer options and a visit to the showroom (neither was ever offered). Significantly more clear communication up-front about our options, and the pros and cons of each option to meet our specific needs and our particular bathroom layout, especially with the tub/shower enclosures would have been appreciated.What they installed looks exquisite and was installed beautifully and clean, I think other options may have been better based on the bathroom configuration, so now we just need to step over the toilet to get out of the shower. Oh well.To be perfectly fair, in part this is our fault for not asking what our options were for the tub/shower enclosure before signing the sales agreement.

I had a complicated sensor issue that comes with “a cracked windshield.” No such thing any more. The first shop muddled the job-Portland Glass on Congress Street completely sorted out all the problems at a hyper competitive price. The store manager Paul was fantastic. Portland Glass is the best price around and not to mention the amazing staff they have working for them. Called on a Monday Morning, got me in fast to get my windshield replaced. I arrived for my appointment and they had me on my way within an hour and a half. Definitely my first call for any of my glass needs.

Little bit of a wait to get in for rear (hatch) window, and left back passenger windows open though they locked the van. Otherwise, very quick service (2 hours not 4 that was estimated).

We used Portland Glass windows when we built our home in 1995. 25 years later they are still in great shape. Unfortunately, as life happens, we broke one! They were able to fix the glass with very little impact to life or home. It looks great, youd never know it was broken and I still love the windows. The window quality is excellent. Their repair team was great. Fast, efficient repair at a good price. Very happy customer. Even the dog liked the tech and he normally barks at everyone. Kudos for impressing the canine too!

Thanks to winter I had a power line fall on my back window and the good old state of maine doesnt cover glass for insurance, I was looking at a bill of over 400$ from Safelite I remembered the great service I got from the Ellsworth location so I decided Id call to see if theyd beat satellites price which they did. A defective peice of glass was installed and when I realized it was an issue Bob the store manager did everything he could to work with my schedule and fix the problem to keep a customer Even though I was very upset. My experience at Portland Glass with my windshield replacement was excellent.There was an issue with my insurance claim, I think regarding coverage for recalibrating the sensor on the windshield. Virginia called my insurance company with me on the line and got the claim sorted out. When I was unable to pick up my car from PG on Friday afternoon, Virginia generously met me at the PG location with my keys on Saturday morning.The work looks great. I chose PG because its local and for the one-year damage guarantee, which covers any road damage to the window without additional replacement costs. Very happy, and felt valued throughout the experience.

Very easy drop off and pick up. Windshield came out beautiful. I just wish they had a bit more of a suburban location. The lot in Portland was a bit tight for parking.

I called to setup an appointment to replace our cars windshield and was given an appointment within 1 day of the windshield being cracked. We only paid our deductible and they handled our insurance claim for us. We were in and out within 2.5 hours and the front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Got a quote for a windshield replacement over the phone and it seemed reasonable. Specifically asked if it includes labor and other fees and they said yes. When my wife picked it up they charged us $100 more than what they quoted us. I dont think well ever go back. We had used Safelite in the past but figured we would try something different to see it it was any better and it definitely was worse!

I had a great experience working with PG. I will take my car there again if I need another windshield replaced.

Terrible company - every excuse in the book for delays (tech showed up late, closed early, etc). When I finally receive the product, sloppy work - missing caulking, gaps in the seal, new rubber gaskets falling out and not properly inserted. Have all photos. Take no ownership of their service issues or work. Go elsewhere.EDIT: I followed up by the email the owner left, and of course, nothing came of it.

Just wanted to get two old windows redone with mirrors for the holidays. The guy in the back who does this for a living was not personable and darn right rude. First thing he told me was the windows were dirty and that I should do it myself - all it is are push pins that hold the mirror in. Well if I wanted to do it myself then I would not have driven into Portland and asked for them to do it at a whopping $145. That did not even include putty - just push pins.Dont go there. Not helpful and a waste of time cause you are just going to have to do it yourself. Bet I can do it for far less too. Save your money.Oh and if you bring anything in please make sure it is sparking clean!. He doesnt want to get his hands dirty.

We choose to use Portland Glass because of their efficient process and customer service. I personally deal with Barry Gabloff and I cant say enough about how well he treats the customers. Barry always goes above and beyond to make sure that we are happy and consistently follows up on jobs to make sure that our clients are happy with the results. Portland Glass has helped me many times with auto windshields, but most notably when my windshield shattered from debris on the highway, they had me fixed up & good as new in just a few hours! Great customer service!!!

Had a windsheild put in in august, got a rock chip two weeks later after some argument a tech came out and filled it. That lasted about 2 months before it cracked. Paid another 200 dollars for another windshield last week and the glass doesnt even touch the weatherstripping, you can feel air and water come right through. Interested to see how they take care of it.

I had the windshield replaced in my 2017 f-150 In February. A couple weeks ago, I could hear water rushing around the inside of my cab. Not knowing that the two were related, I took my car to the dealer to have it investigated. The dealer told me that the water was due to a leak in the windshield. Because they already had the truck torn apart and because there was sitting water on my floorboards I had them fix the issue. I had no interest in driving the truck around all weekend like that. Portland Glass fixed the windshield but refused to reimburse me for the damage repairs ($370). The woman on the phone (Julie) was slightly condescending and questioned my decision making. She insisted that I should have came to them first. Im not sure how this would have played out if If I was unable to get to a Portland glass office but that is besides the point. She said that she would investigate and talk to a technician and call me back. Well I never got a call back and was forced to have my insurance fight it. Luckily there is a Safelite around the corner from my office. I certainly will not be using them for the glass in our shower as well.

I called to ask for assistance and the gentleman on the phone didnt listen to my question, told me no we dont do that and hung up on me. It was extremely unprofessional.

I needed a cabinet door glass insert replaced and went in with the broken glass so they could measure unbroken edges. They gave me a deal on an in-store sample and it was ready to be picked up the same day. Great.Except that at home when I went to install the new piece of glass it turned out IT WASNT A RECTANGLE. There was half an inch difference for the width at the top and bottom of the glass pane preventing me from using it.They fixed it on my third trip to the store but the employee came out to debate with me about it. Said it it wasnt necessarily supposed to be a rectangle. Maybe I should have clarified that? This rectangular broken piece of glass needs to be replaced with a rectangular non broken piece of glass.Basically, I would avoid them if you want squarish shaped windows. 90 degree corners appear to be a problem.

They did great, price was very reasonable. They took the inspection sticker and placed it on the new windshield.
