I mainly go here so that I may pray to the shellac wood Jesus that adorn an entire wall of the bathroom. With my sins forgiven, I head directly to the pinball room which features several evil machines and drop some quarters. Oh yeah, theres a bar here too. Really a great place for sinful vice.

As soon as we walked in the long-haired bartender asked for our ID’s. Meticulously looking at our cards and at us very heavily as if we were suspicious figures. Afterwards my friend asked for a beer on tap which he mispronounced accidentally. Then the bartender rudely corrected my friend. Afterwards he immediately told us that he wasn’t going to serve us because we were sporadic and all over the place. Also stated that we have “googly eyes” (his exact words). I believe our ethnicity definitely had something to do with his actions and his hateful comment. Never coming here again and I hope other minorities don’t support this establishment.

The name isnt misleading, its simply subtle. A lost art in these times we live in, really... this bar supplies everything needed for a quiet night or the first stop on a Thursday bender.

Really cool place. Friendly bartenders. 2$ Rainer beers. Decent drink prices. Cozy atmosphere. Been twice and it was the perfect amount of busy. Cool pin ball game are and 3 video poker machines. Awesome wood decor in bathroom. Pretty nice joint. Highly recommend. Open till midnight.

My girlfriend and I wanted to play one of their board games. Since we had our dog with us, we were sitting outside. My girlfriend went in to get a game. When she tried to go back to the table, the bartender rudely yelled at her, hey! No games outside! He could have been more polite. Staff is extremely rude.

Cool intimate spot. Front room is all bar with one table, back room has pinball and room for about 25.

Cool decor, good draft options (saw a Missouri beer I hadnt seen in a while (Tank7)). Great feel but oddly empty at 5:30pm. Music was folky, very much my vibe.

One of my favorite low-key bars in Portland. Never so crowded you have to stand. Awesome bartenders and a good selection of beer. I highly recommend dropping in if youre in the area.

Great selection of beer (both tap and bottle). You can buy bottles and 6 packs to go, fill up a growler. Get some awesome food and enjoy the fun atmosphere. The bathrooms are the best part though...theyre decorated with awesome vintage lacquered wood prints of kittens and what not.

The biggest problem you will have here is picking what beer you want. The list is extensive, taps and bottles, even ciders. Small seating area inside but its got a great vibe and crowd. Perfect place to grab a beer!

The beer selection is good but the staff is very unfriendly. Portland has a lot of good beer venues to choose from so both staff, atmosphere and selection are important to make a difference. The lady who worked there was unfriendly and not engaging and made us feel as if we were an inconvenience for being there (not drunk). Hope the owner is more selective of who they hire to represent their business.
