Bummer, the beer is great, but service is atrocious! Definitely never coming here again.Added: There are medical exceptions as per the Americans with Disabilities Acts. Even airlines honor medical exemptions. I had a card that I tried to show, but you werent interested. Thats fine. Just not coming back. Ill just go to Johns Market, they have a much better selection there anyway.
Great tap house and bottle shop. Selection of beers was very well spread out between genre and breweries. A food cart is near serving burgers and fries 🍟. The folk serving were great. Thanks for sharing good beer. Parking is limited.
Awesome spot. Appreciate that they put lagers in correct glassware. Great prices on draft, super convenient online ordering (peruse their selections on your phone and get exactly what you want). Dog friendly. Been coming here for a while.
So sad to have to give this place 1 star. Descent selection of beers with terribly rude service. If you come here I hope youre ready to get yelled at. Recommend going just about anywhere else. These are not fun people to deal with.
My boss gave me a gift card for this place, but I cannot seem to redeem it anywhere.Update: Card is working now!Update2: Order would normally be delayed because I placed it after 11AM. The issue I have here is that I wouldnt have had this problem if not for the gift card issue. So thats upsetting.Ive emailed yall about the situation and I appreciate the staffs flexibility to still do the delivery today. But this was a REALLY bad experience overall and the owners should double check their Square stuff because its not working like it should.Update3:Delivery Received - and early to boot!
We were here to get a sure shot burger and grab a few beers to take home. I had my baby with me while I ordered our burgers and wanted to tell my husband what beer I wanted -Immediately Kicked off the premise by the bartender. Apparently I could not even stand outside near the burger joint under the awning to stay out of the rain or be in the area while my hubby bought beer togo. It was the tone and the destain he had for us that made it all the more terrible. Hate when local places have to be checked off our list
Tonight was my first visit. The selection of both draft beer and bottled beer was excellent. The service was great and they had a lot of outdoor seating. There is a food cart outside, so when you NEED fries you can get them.
Best of my worlds - draft, bottles, cans, hamburgers 🍔. Please expand to Beaverton soon!
The staff for professional and followed COVID protocols perfectly. The outside tent was not fully inclosed to proved proper ventilation. Had to ask to use the restrooms since no inside seating is allowed but I didnt mind one bit. Great drinks too! The lady was very helpful for someone who isnt fond of beer!
I couldnt be more happy with this little slice of heaven! Especially with these days and times! Host was awesome and choices rocked!
Great beer selection in the coolers, beers you will not find in most places. Always something great on tap
Awesome beer selection that rotates regularly. They have setup a great patio. Dog friendly!
Great selection and knowledgeable staff.
Good selection of cans and friendly people. They have beer on tap as well, but I didnt check those out.
Uptown Market is a great place to pick-up a unique beverage. They have a large selection of beer, cider, and wine. As a beer enthusiast, browsing the selection here is always a fun experience.More recently, with COVID-19 going on, Uptown Market has moved online. I think the response of Uptown Market was impressive with being able to purchase beer online, and either have it delivered or picked-up in store. I opted to have my drinks delivered, which was a smooth experience.I am thrilled that Uptown Market is here to serve the community and help keep spirits high.
This guy should not be open during the Covid-19 pandemic. My first time visit to this bottle shop was very uncomfortable. Solely due to the obvious paranoia of the man filling orders. He was appalled that I didn’t have a online order. Walking up to his counter at the front doors and ordering 6 beers off a list posted on the door would have been fine by me. However because I felt so dirty for being 20 feet to close to him, he suggested that I use my phone and order online.Just stay closed until the media tells you that you can be safe.
Only went a few times. Beer selection is fair, not amazing like so many people think. Small place. Good rotating tap selection. A few of their beers and the rest are guest taps.First few trips were different younger men working there. Service was fine, provided samples, answered questions, helped customers, my glass was never empty long.I went in recently and a younger lady wearing a Green Bay Packers jersey was working. At first she was attentive, gave samples, poured me one beer, and then pretty much ignored me.Multiple waves of customers came in, she talked to them, poured samples, sold beer, never even look at me again. I didnt exist. There was nobody else at the bar except myself.By now my temperature was rising. I shouldnt have to ask for help when sitting at the bar. She had no problem serving many other people driving up and walking in.After about 20 minutes I gave up. By now both my empty water and beer glasses were pushed forward. She finally asked if I wanted another beer. How about not making me wait? There were breaks in customers coming in and she could have helped me. I paid the tab and left.I wrote a complaint to the owners a few weeks ago. No reply. Will not return.
Great selection and the online ordering option is extremely convenient.
I live a few blocks away from this place and it’s really gone down hill lately. They turn the patio lights and music off an hour before the place closes. The bartender turned the open sign off an hour as well. It’s like they only want a very small group of people to come in. I’ve been coming for years and I’ve started to come less because it’s going downhill fast. You can say it’s to be respectful of the neighbors but I spend a lot of time across the street and at the peak of noise it cannot be heard.
The selection is super great, unlike what some of the reviewers here think :p So many pretty beers to choose from! The space was super hip and clean. Human working the counter was really nice as well. I live in Portland but would journey down here for the cool vibes.
Uptown Market might be the best place to try and buy beer in Portland. I loved this location, their selection, staff and in house beers before. But since the remodel its even better. A clear side for browsing and buying bottled (or canned!!! beer), and then a pub side with seating, enough (but not overwhelming number of) tvs and a great ambiance. And on top of all of that, there is great food to be had from the semi permanent food cart outside. Its a great place to stop and pick up a six pack, or to sit down and enjoy an afternoon of delicious beers inside or on the patio.Very highly recommended.
Outdoor seating, great beer selection, nice people, masks worn
This place recently went through a remodel and re-opened their food cart, and the food absolutely ROCKS! Noteworthy: the scotch egg and chicken sliders. I love the pimento cheese sammies, too. They also offer an outstanding selection of beers, both on tap and in bottle. I like that they have different brewers rotate through (tap takeover Thursdays) and always seem to have some fun events going on during the week. Friendly staff, too. Oh, and theyre DOG FRIENDLY!
Great spot for a beer and burger.
Girl at the counter..... Zero personality....not even a smile just sadness. Good beer. If you like being served by a robot come here.
Fun atmosphere. A HUGE selection of beers and ciders. They have food through the Flying Baracuda which is pretty good bar food. Its a bit pricey food but its good. And its dog friendly.
Great service, awesome tenders. Was like your friends when u came in. Food was Dee licious. But... I only been to Uptown in lake oswego.. Lookin forward to coppin a buzz out on scholls- when restricted outtings come to an end.
Great to have a growler fill station/bottle shop in the SW area. Weve been going here since they only had a few taps on and weve kept going back. The service is always friendly and attentive (even if theres a line). I also love that they are open early (10am) to stop in for a growler before heading to a game or out of town. Its awesome to see them continue to expand their taps (up to 20 now, right?), host brewery tastings, and start featuring their own brews!
We love Uptown Market. This has become the local neighborhood pub. Always great beer on tap, including their own (now that they are also a brewery). As well as good friends and company to enjoy a beer with.I highly recommend stopping by, tasting what is on tap, and trying a pint.
The guys who own this place are great. OK selection of bottles, a few beers on tap, and laid back place to drink. I moved out of town before they started brewing their own beers so I cant speak to any of that, but my husband and I liked getting a mystery box of bottles. We always got to try new beers and talk with the guys about them later.
Great bottle shop. Good bar if you want it to be. Staff is knowledgeable about their beer and the many they have on tap. Regular tastings come through and those can be rather fun.
OMgoodness this place is amazing, an oasis in LO. We loved the local beer offerings and the food was (much!) better than expected. The bartender was timely with our food and the beer selection is extremely varied; many tap options. We will be back.
Decent selection of beers. Great food! Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Parking can be challenging at times
Great hangout spot; friendly service and great food and drinks.
Great service and beer during the times they are going through
This place is amazing. A bottleshop with its own bar. Huge selection of beers and hard ciders. Bartender was very friendly and helpful. Great vibe. Cannot wait to visit again.
Great rotating taps with some hard finds showing up. Regulars will happily start up a conversation as will the staff. New good truck is spot on, definitely worth the stop.
Awesome. Great selection. Draft and bottle/can. Cool staff. Tap takeovers on Thursday. Yes they serve food
Great place for beer, kombucha, wine. They have over 30 taps with their own brews plus lots of guest taps and hundreds of canned0 and bottled beers . Trivia on Tuesdays, tap takeovers on Thursdays. Friendly staff and excellent food. Plus you can bring your well behaved dog.
Great atmosphere, great beer selection and amazing food! The chef makes it an even better experience, so friendly and everything tastes amazing! Great neighborhood hangout 👌
Awesome relaxed vibe, friendly staff, great beer... new favorite place! We need more places like this in the burbs! Down side... parking can suck and the food cart offerings are pretty limited.
The staff is nice and helpful when trying to find a beer. They have a huge selection of beers and some wines to pick from. They also fill growlers to go, if you are in a hurry. If you have the time you can sit down have a pint. There is usually a food truck parked out front in case you get hungry. Overall a fun place to chill.
I only know uptown market through Trivia night which my friends brought me to, and now I go almost every week. This is a fantastic place. The beer selection is amazing. They have 30 plus beers on tap, and 100s more in their coolers categorized by style (IPA, ales, lagers, European, bitter beer, cider, etc, all these beers actually have normal market prices and only a $1 corkage fee if you choose to drink in house. They also have kegs available and kambucha, or so Ive heard.Back to trivia, which I just finished for the evening (and am on safe transportation home from), the hostess is charming yet firm. Her questions span many subjects and generations, so bring your a-game and a diverse a-team. Trivia here is so much fun!My friends always get BBQ. The few bites Ive had were very satisfying. As a brewery they produce solid beers that will compete with any Portland brewery. I recommend going to Uptown Market and going deep, just remember to take uber or a bus. Lucky for me, my apartment had a direct bus line.Cheers,Nate
Uptown Market is a fun and funky place to go to. Hang on the new Garden patio play Corn Hole in the new fun Tailgate Alley and sample some the great Binary Beers. Awrsome
Arguably the best chicken wings and beer selection on the planet. Id drive all the way from Montana just to eat some of Wollybuggers fine offerings. If you are in Portland, GO HERE.
Great selection of beer, good food, great remodel, and plenty of seating. Just make sure you park in only their parking spots, the neighbors can be tow happy
Decent selection of beer with several on tap. Reasonable prices. They no longer have home-brew supplies.
Fantastic selection and nice staff. Always something good on tap. Sip while you shop.
Great beer, good prices, and awesome staff. Check it out.Ive bought a couple brewing kits from Uptown, including a Rogue Dead Guy Ale. Theyve gone out of their way to educate me and recommend the best product.
Nice bottle shop with nice staff. You can get a pint or a growler filled along with a great amount of kegs to choose from, and they have a good selection of bottles. Also they have beer tasting Thursday through Saturday. If you are out on the West side, check them out.
I have been there a couple of times and very pleased with the results. Both times the staff has been knowledgeable and articulate when talking about what they have on tap and the selection is easily as good as what I would find if I went to Belmont Station or MainBrew. On my most recent visit, the keg I wanted to fill my growler from was tapped out, so they gave me a full growler of something else instead and let me keep the half-full growler as a bonus. My only gripe is that there is nowhere to lock up my bike when I ride out there. Would it kill you guys to put in a bike rack?
Very intimate shop and plenty of selection. My favorite place to head over to find cider although they have it on tap only during the weekends. Aside from that great place to find some great local drinks.
So, this is kind of like Johns Market encapsulated in a smaller space, sporting a brewery instead of a deli. Lots of wine and beer choices - and then their own brews on tap along with some guest brews. Super friendly owner/brewer and a good spot to just get some friends together and do happy hour. They have guest appearances/tasting events and I think they have just done a great job with something that may have been a convenience store wedged between Burgerville at Scholls & Allen and maybe a body shop??? or car repair of some kind. Go there, you wont be disappointed. It only gets four stars through not fault of its own...the ambiance might suffer a bit from being where it is.
Loads of taps for your growler fill needs! An ampul supply of bottled beers.Lots of seating indoors and out.Guest food carts for the non-liquid nourishment..If you are not sure what you want then these guys will steer you in the right direction. There is no reason not to love this place.
A great spot to grab a pint, a growler fill, or a six pack of whatever beers your heart desires. Staff is versed and ready to help, trivia on Tuesdays, homebrew stuff, it really is a little gem of a bottle shop. Snobby help and all... :-) . Seriously theyre the opposite of snobby, down to earth nice guys who love beer. Go Check Em OUT!
I have stopped by a few times and enjoyed their awesome beer selection, and helpful staff recommendations. I just discovered that they started serving coffee too, so now all of my beverage needs are easily accessible going to and from work:)
Great selection of bottles, tons of beers on tap including their own house brand, and one of the few places to get rare bottles and full kegs. Terrific meeting place to have a pint and a snack and hang out!
Good selection on the taps. And a huge selection on cans and bottles. Also super friendly!
Working hard to make thirsty folks happy in a very difficult time, and doing it with smiling, masked face. This establishment gets the Kings Approval!
Excellent beer selection. They should do something about the slow service. Everytime I have been, seems to take forever to get a beer even when there isnt anyone in the que.
Friendly staff and customers. Great selection of drinks. Interior is being updated, but still comfortable.
Great Pub. Best selection of beer in town
Awesome food and drinks! Server was hustling all over the place. Great selection of beers!
Great beer selection. Be prepared to smell like cigarette smoke regardless of where you sit outside. They have a smoking area but dont force customers to use it and allow people to smoke anywhere.
Most of the beers you can find cheaper at the grocery store. Also, if you buy a beer out of a cooler, they will charge you an extra dollar to open it. They called it a corkage fee. So many better places around
Great selection of beers and nice people, plus they now have some food!
Amazing beer selection and atmosphere. Become a regular, life will be good
New digs look great. Loved the chicken sliders and scotch egg.
Nice remodel, bartender was polite and helpful. Bathroom clean. Most importantly beer was Great.
Neghiborhood pub with great beer selection, atmosphere, and service!
Great beer selection, and good taps. Food is so-so. Given the options in the area, it is solid.
The beer is great. But the food is phenomenonal. Try the burger and you will not regret it. The fry sauce is the BEST Ive ever had in my life. Paired with thick seasoned steak fries... Omg soooo good.10/10 food9/10 beer selection
Nice place nice atmosphere. didnt mind me & my friend hanging at a table despite not buying anything.
Ive had good times there.Wish they still had home.I recommend their hero IPA and the Stop Work stout is also good. They have a good rotating tap selection and tons of bottled beer.
30 beers on tap, 3 ciders, two kombuchas, love the selection of their bottled beers as well.
An okay selection of bottles, I wasnt impressed though. Im from Maryland and they had three bottle stores within a few minutes of my house that were all better than this place, maybe I was just spoiled. I dont know, I wanted a big store with lots of bottles and this wasnt it.
Great selection of beer! The staff was great and helped me pick out some great stuff.
Its a weird bar, growler fill-up, beer bottle store. I walked in and the waitress and the cashier were gossiping about something. I was ignored. Not even a hello. I was just looking for a 6-pack of Weinstephaner, but all they had was the big bottles(overpriced). I think New Seasons Market has a better selection.
Staff service is sub par, rude, and ignorantly-snobby. Decent prices, good bottle selection, and usually at least one great beer on tap. Will I go back? Unfortunately, no.
Uptown hosted an amazing event called the Brew Good series debuting February 10th. They raised almost $4000 for an ALS patient and the ALS foundation. Great work guys!
Nice selection of beers. Good atmosphere
Awesome selection of beer in cans and bottles, as well as a few beers on tap. They also sell beer by the keg.
Good selection of bottles and cans, decently curated taplist, quality in house beers and a friendly staff. Theyve also got NBA fastbreak pinball on free play!
Awesome selection of delicious beers (in a bottle, or straight out of the tap & into a glass), wines, homebrew supplies and other goodies - and every employee Ive encountered is a scholar and a gentleperson. Theyve even expanded to brewer status, followed by opening a 2nd location in Lake O.! Ive been coming to this place off and on since just after it opened (still have my brewery founders t-shirt & steel growler!), and theyve never been anything but the coolest of folks to me. I try to recommend this location any chance I get. •••I dont always buy beer anymore, but when I do, I buy it from Uptown.•••
Good food and great beer. Huge selection
Great beer selection and rad laid back digs.
Good beer great staff and nice people.
OK, I see other people give UM good reviews- Every time Ive been here though, I swear its my last time- too frustrating!Great beer selection, yes.Service? Non existent.Every time I come in, mostly for homebrew needs, the guys are talking amongst themselves, and I ALWAYS have to stand and wait for them to even notice or acknowledge my presence. These guys act like theyre doing you a huge favor to even be there-serious attitudes. The last few times Ive been in, they have been out of some of the most basic brewing items Ive needed: bottles, carbonation tabs, etc. Really close to my home, but Im done. Ill go a bit further to Above the Rest Homebrewing - super nice, well stocked store, and always willing to answer questions. Sorry Uptown, you had your chance numerous times and have lost me as a customer!
While I was very happy to find a rare bottle of Hitachino Nest White Ale here, I was quite disappointed with their beer selection. Basically 5 coolers of craft beer and one BMC. Nice folks though, some homebrewing supplies, and beers on tap.
Attentive service, knowledgeable staff. Admittedly Im only there for the beer so I cant speak to the homebrew stuff, but a decent bottle shop.
Homebrew supplies selection is severely lacking. Ive been a couple of times and been largely ignored by staff both times. If theres a game on, forget about being helped unless you get right in someones face. Youll find a larger bottle selection at ABV and much much larger homebrew supplies selection at Mainbrew or Brew Brothers.
Good for bottles, pretty scarce on homebrew supplies.
Great selection and service.
