This location is a pitiful, failed attempt at being an Apple store. The staff is completely overworked/overwhelmed. No one in the space is happy to be there. Ive tried about 4 times these past few weeks to go in for assistance and theyre just to busy help me so I just leave out of politeness. I would switch companies but theyre all like this...
Changed carriers to Tmobile, staff was friendly and the process of switching over was seamless and quick!
We are rarely in the downtown Portland area but a Doctors appointment and broken phone brought us to this location. I’m glad it did because Krysta was wonderful. She had great customer service skills and was incredibly knowledgeable. She answered all our questions when I came in with a damaged iphone that had been ran over by 3 trucks with horse trailers. I walked out with a new iPhone and instructions on what to do with an older phone. Krysta was patient and friendly the entire time even when I couldnt remember passwords or other info and had to call my Daughters. Thank you Krysta and Welcome to Oregon!
Autumn was awesome. She knows phones. She knows T-mobile options and she set me up with a cheap plan ($15/month) that suits me perfectly. I even got a new sim card for nothing. I went to sleep last night singing Autumn Leaves to remind me what a plus it was to have met someone who understood what I needed in my phone.
Upgraded my iPhone 8 to an iPhone 12 on the new 5G promotion and was blown away by how friendly, thorough and efficient Lee and Autumn were. They treated me with respect and courtesy that made me feel like a valued customer. I have been with T-Mobile for over a decade and in the future will only come to this store for service when I’m in Portland.
My experience at T-Mobile yesterday was awful! I wasnt treated with respect and that young woman that helped me was rude. She tried to make me take something I didnt want back! She was very disrespectful! And nasty! DO NOT GO TO THIS TMobile Store.
Out of all the cellular stores I’ve done business in this team was the best! Manager D’Artagnan a true professional and super nice. His assistant Autumn? Total studette! Shawn super nice and helpful. Everyone I met on this team was really great. Best top shelf service I have received in a long time. I give this store my highest recommendation!
Extremely helpful and was able to answer my questions quickly.
Shawn is very knowledgeable. He helped me choose well and was able to solve a complicated issue in no time. I highly recommend this store.
The staff was very helpful and respectful.
Last Sunday we visited this store after making an appointment on T-Mobile.com per their COVID protocol. A guy who looked like manager said that the appointment is only to let them know “you are arriving” and that we have to say in line. But a sales associate (only female) who had more customer service instincts than her manager helped us out.
They do very well for the level of traffic I observed, friendly courteous and conscious of customer needs.
The worst service!! I switched from Verizon. I was with T-Mobile for 3 months. Im in portland and should have had good service. I could not make or receive calls 80% of the time. I canceled my account paid the penalty and now I am back to Verizon.
Very friendly and helpful.
The store manager at this store, DArtagnan, is a true gentleman and a decent human being. He generously gave of his time to provide extra assistance with device support to my work friend who is a disabled individual (he was hit by a bus when he was 3 and some things are a struggle for him). I was waiting outside mostly but took note how kind and patient he was with my friend. Because of this I would certainly switch to T-Mobile. Thanks to you guys.
The downtown T-Mobile store is the best! Great customer service.
Great place to shop great customer service also
Super friendly staff, Lee and DArtangan were awesome. Made me fell welcome and comfortable.
I didnt go for myself, but a good gf and neighbor. I dont toot to many horns, but the staff at this particular branch are amazingly friendly and helpful. Makes me almost switch cell companies.
Very friendly and great customer services!
I love this store they can fix any problems your having And they tell you about your best options And what deals they have going on at the time
Fast service and friendly staff very helpful.
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THIS STORE IS THE WORST EVER! as a tmobile customer for over 20+ yrs! Went to exchange a phone and I was chastised out of the store DO NOT GO THERE THEY WILL CALL THE POLICE IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH THEM!
Yelled at me all the way out the door when the team could not figure out how to do a simple pre-authorized exchange. Extremely unprofessional. Felt hostile.
I was your basic walk-in customer with requests for a new carrier from Verizon. Ive heard great things about T-Mobile (no experience with them prior), and so I gave them a try in a desperate situation. Ive had very long day with a broken phone, lost data, etc.. and a tired young one. The rep here named Brian Leroy, displayed outstanding customer service. As soon as I walked in, he was on point; professional, knowledgeable, courteous, kind, and most importantly attentive to my best interests as a consumer. Your rep gained a loyal customer.. if I could provide a 10-star rating I certainly would. Your rep displayed consummate skills and I was eternally grateful; particularly that day. Thank you!!
So, I have always preferred T-Mobile to other carriers. To me customer service and privacy are paramount. Again and again I have found T-Mobile to be the best when supporting me an a customer. I have found myself far from home with a lost wallet and I wont soon forget the assistance I received from customer support. Circumstances dictated that my most economical choice these last couple of years was a metro pcs account. All the while I was thinking of changing back to T-Mobile. When I was ready I visited the Broadway store downtown Portland. I wanted to port my number over to T-Mobile. Again because want my money to go to a company I believe in.The person I encountered during my visit was unpleasant from the get go. Maybe his name was Edward... Maybe Im completely wrong. Caucasian, beard, handsome guy, but completely lacking any manners or patience. He seemed desperate to make a sale. When he called to see about transferring my account he took all of my information and then actually pretended to be me on the phone. It was disturbing to say the least. Is this common practice? It would not have bothered me if he had any sense of how to treat other people but this person was extremely rude and demeaning. When the woman he was speaking to transposed a couple of numbers he was furious. He attacked her and was ridiculous about going out of his way to make it clear how stupid he thought she was. I was embarrassed for all three of us. Then when the transaction hit a snag he hung up with her and began to pressure me into a making a decision that clearly only benefited him in making a sale. There was no way I would spend money with this sort of person. Surely this is not the first time he has had conflict with others. Customer service is not for everyone... Possibly I caught this guy on the wrong day. It happens. But if this is a pattern of behavior I would encourage this person to take a long look at how his attitude may be costing him not just money but how it affects his life in general.
Very helpful and kind
Rachel provided great customer service and was genuinely invested in helping to address some issues I was having with international calls! T-mobile in general has been a wonderful provider for international travel. I visit Taiwan fairly often and usually have the best service, and I found the same throughout Europe.
Quick service and installation of the screen protector and phone case I purchased.
The rep was extremely nice to us in store, seemed in control of the place even when the line started getting long. I left him a glowing review when emailed for a survey.... Until a couple days later when I noticed a third number on our account, one that we definitely did not sign up for. The plan he set us up with was also a tier above what we needed, because he said that was the only way that we would get all the benefits of switching from Verizon. I called and spoke to a customer service rep, who dropped the mysterious line from the account and adjusted the plan to where it needs to be. I spent years in the wireless industry, managing carrier stores just like this, and if one of my employees straight up lied to a customers face to this degree, that employee would not have a job the next day. We are switching to another network the moment we get new phones this year. All of this is to say I would never visit this location again, and I highly encourage potential customers to do more research before going into a store, and dont assume they have your best interest in mind. They absolutely will stop at nothing to hit those commission multipliers. Management: please do not contact me, as I dont need anything from you other than please make sure this kind of dishonesty never happens again.
The clerk was excellent and very helpful
Thank you for setting me up with a new handset, you are awesome
Quick nice and professional services, best experience at yesterday. Will come back again.
Love they way they greet you and put you on the list right away when they are hopping. After only a few minutes Brian took care of me and was very fast and knew everything about their services and offerings. He treated me like I was more than a cheap prepaid customer. I usually avoid these in-person cell phone outlets but this one is top-notch.
Im another lifelong fan of that one guy Brian, who has helped me out of an impossible jam more than once. Everybody down there, really. The new shop will be a nice addition, but really its about the people. First rate.
I really recommend this store from my experiences working with them. Especially, the guy, Brian. He is honor to you and be very responsible for every word he said. Even though, something happen, he will try their best to help you out and fix the problem.
Walked in to upgrade my phone. There were 4 reps having fun with one rep helping one person. The rest didn’t want to be inconvenienced. Way to go TMo!Edit : walked into another T-Mobile store in Beaverton. In and out with the new device within 15 minutes. Now that is the service I am talking about!
So pleased with service & products! April, Rick & Austin are the best. Weve been with T-Mobile since it was Voicestream (or something!) and this is our favorite location.
Im really frustrated by a long wait time and not being acknowledged for half an hour besides putting my name on a list, when Im supposed to pick up a warranty phone today, and I dont have all day to spend standing around waiting for someone to help me when I have a job, two small children, and its the holidays. this is on top of T-Mobile sending me to collections for a billing issue that is their fault that we have spent several hours on the phone and in the store trying to result. Ive been a T-Mobile customer 15 years and this is driving me away I will be looking into my other options.
Went to try to get a new phone yesterday. After waiting while the rep helped someone who arrived after we did, we tried to buy a phone but they were sold out. Tried to buy the more expensive version of the phone, which they had one more of in stock, but when they opened the box to transfer my SIM card, there just wasnt a phone in it? Was told they were getting a shipment of them today, but when I called they told me that they had only received the most expensive version and not the one we tried to buy yesterday which I was told was coming in the shipment. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Who would think it would be so hard to walk into a phone store and buy a phone?
This is a surprisingly great T-Mobile location. The staff is awesome - super helpful and efficient. Theyve never been pushy or less than pleasant when Ive stopped in. The downtown location is convenient to boot.
I came in with a broken phone and a backup-ready replacement phone ready to roll. They said my replacement phone was locked (it had been unlocked a year or two ago) so my SIM card wont work... I asked if they could call to unlock my phone, as my phone is BROKEN. They said no. They could have offered a trade up deal for both my old phones so I could have a working phone right away, but they didnt do that either. Also, T-Mobile gets TERRIBLE reception if you go a little ways off the major highways. Maybe Ill go back to Verizon.
Do not go here. They tried to say buying an accessory was in their contract, but when I asked to see documentation they recanted. The associate then became very condescending and rude.
I walked in one day to see about switching over from att and couldnt be happier! I told Brian exactly what I was looking for and he was fast and knowledgeable and he even had the phone I wanted delivered from another local store before I left. He was able to set up our business account in about 1 hour which is way faster than att did it (over 5 hours and a world of issues after). Really glad I went here and am really happy with Brians help.
LOVE T-MOBILE! Weve been with them for about 4 years now. My wife and I went in today to upgrade from our iPhone 5c to the iphone 8. Daniel DArcangelo was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful with all of our questions. Excellent customer service! Thank you.
The staff were very helpful in resolving any issues Ive ever had. However, the manager Dustin had a condescending, I know everything and Im never wrong attitude towards his employees. You could tell that it has a negative impact on the other staff. I felt this was a lack of professionalism in the workplace. Otherwise, a great location and knowledgeable team.
Rachel M. is a superstar! I wish I could thank her more for dealing with AT&Ts incompetence. They basically were blocking me from switching my number to T-Mobile after 23 years with AT&T.The entire staff seemed awesome, and so are the savings for a military veteran. I cannot recommend more highly! Also, calling T-Mobile gets you a real person, in America, who can relate and help solve your problem with minimal hassle. This is a quality operation versus AT&T. Switch now and save (yourself a lot of heartache...)P.S. Buy one iPhone XS, get $700 of a second iPhone (doesnt have to be XS.) They split the credit over 24 months and you still have to pay the down payment, but what a deal!Update: Their service is downright snappy, and so far is void of dead-spots. It even works in the elevator of my building in downtown Portland. AMAZING!!!
Long story, but worth it. I was a customer of Verizon, as was my partner. My iPhone broke, so I decided to finance a new one with them. After applying online and being approved on credit, I later received an email stating my account was under review by fraud prevention department. I submitted requested documents, only received an email that my order was being cancelled without any explaination. Partner was still on his families phone plan, but decided to break away and have us start our own shared plan with Verizon. He called and ordered new phones on a new account. The next day we went to pick them up, only to find out the order was on hold with the Verizon fraud prevention, even though they transferred his number to own account. Fraud department employees would ask for different documents Everytime we called. We would submit each different request, only to be told by a different rep it wasnt good enough. (Rental agreement, ID, screenshot of voters registration from State website, origionally certified physical copy of card, various bills, supena letter to appear in court as victim in legal case, VA documents) After 8th or 9th call (each 45 minutes on average) we asked to speak with a supervisor. Supervisor reviewed everything we had sent, then told us she was cancelling the order and suspending service on the phone thats been paid on the last year and half. She even tried accusing us of altering a certified voters registration card that we picked up from the county office on SE Morrison. His phone was immediately suspended and locked the moment the call ended, leaving both of us without a phone.I decided to go to T-Mobile and discuss options, but he was hesitant, and walked to the Verizon store up a block at the same time. The staff there couldnt help him, only offering to let him borrow their landline to call fraud department, so he came back over to T-Mobile to find myself and sales rep Amanda discussing options. Herself and the manager really had the human touch when speaking with us that Verizon lacked. We received straight forward answers and that didnt appear to be scripted. This helped him come out of his shell in agreeing to forget about Verizon. I received a large discount for veteran status on the phone plan. Its seems the staff loyalty for type of phones operating system are split and very knowledgeable as to differences in Android and Apple. They do a good job at showing the systems features instead of just attempting to sell the most expensive phone. Even when I considered downgrading a phone, there was no pressure placed on me to reconsider. I still chose a flagship phone. (Google) I will definitely go back, and hope its the same staff, but if not, hopefully they leave a legacy of training their replacemes to be as awesome as they are.
Super easy, super helpful. Idk about you but when I think of cell phone company stores I think of long lines, little customer service and 90% of the time either having to pay for something I didnt expect, or not getting an answer to my question.Im happy to report the TMobile store is clean, appeared well staffed, and took care of my issue within 10 minutes which is really all we can ask for.
You staff need some training on looking up imei or customer service. After inserting a t-mobile sim card into the phone that I got on ebay at this store, and the phone will not activate, two of the staff was trying to be helpful, but none of them could figure out if the phone is locked and if the phone is compatible with t-mobile. I went ahead and called customer service, it turns out the phone is indeed locked to another carrier. This is something I expect a t-mobile store employee would call customer service and figure it out for me. I end up having to do that. Not a big deal for me, but if it is someone that is less tech savvy, they will have a very negative experience at this store.
Love this place! This was and still is the only TMobile store that would trim down a SIM card for me in the metro area.Thank you Evan!
Fantastic experience every time I stop by. There are 2 guys, I really wish I remember their name, one of the guys name started with n, a young guy, hes fantastic. Always makes seamless with any process. Usually in and out upgrading the phone in less than 15 mins. They open an hour earlier than other places and I got my iphone xs max on the first day without a hassle. Thank you!
Called the cops on me. Rude employees.
Super helpful staff, Jessica worked with me for like an hour (my account requirements were difficult to modify) and got me the Jump! program along with a halved bill and a new sweet Galaxy. Good people, good place. Packed, but they take the time to ensure optimal customer service.I had to come back to swap out my Galaxy (ay, lemons happen with electronics), Tyler and Jessica worked with me again and swapped out my phone no problem, even replacing the invisi-shield I bought at no cost. They are very clear with their policies and upfront with their business, genuinely concerned with helping their customers. 10/10 would recommend. Good people, good place, will come back.
Excellent staff and store. All the employees were extremely helpful and patient.
I went to a store in Hillsboro and the staff argued with me about helping me with my sim card. Came here to the downtown store and no problem! Really friendly and helpful.
Fast and friendly. I love T mobile
The knowledge that Shawn Bechtol displayed about the product its simply great. I switched from Sprint, Everytime I walked into a Sprint store my suicidal tendencies flared up. Downtown Portland T-Mobile store. Shawn is the bomb.
I dropped in to get a nano-sim for my new cell phone, and the team offered to trim my current SIM card down, so I didnt have to pay for a new one. They were pleasant, quick, and did a great job. Thanks guys!
Great customer service. Karam was very helpful and he knew the ins and outs of all deals.
The T-Mobile reps are always very knowledgeable and assisting and the environment is always a learning experience
Great costumer service. All the employees Ive talked to so far were knowledgeable and fun to talk to!
I had to come in 4 times to buy an item when the resolve could have been very simple. The first time, they told me I needed to be added to the account, which is going to take 24 hours. Thats fair, so I came back after I was added. Then, they told me I had notes on my account so that the account holder had to be present. Ok, this is where this got complicated. After this point they told me several things, and they kept looking at me as if I was trying to steal something. It wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt for the fact that when I asked them if there was any way for me to arrange a pick up that they told me it wasnt possible. So they made me jump though hoops to reach the conclusion that what I was trying to do would be impossible. So I called the tmobile in Connecticut, my home town and found out that the account holder could just take care of everything in person over there and have me pick up the watch in Portland after. Knowing that could have saved me a lot of time. In the end, the notes on my account hadnt been updated and the situation could have been resolved with a call to risk assessment.
They sold me a wireless charger with a smile on his face. He never checked or told me if it was compatible with my device -- spoiler alert: It wasnt. Now I have to make a second trip in where Ill need a refund. How hard is it to check compatability??? Isnt that their job? FAIL; just trying to sell things without any care for their customer.
Representative straight up lied about which plan was the cheapest and signed me up for excess services that I didnt ask for at extra cost. When I found out and wanted to make a change the very next day and called them, their phone representative was rude and refuse to help. Better luck calling T-mobile phone support than this dishonest joint.
Always long lines, understaffed during normal business hours. Poor selection of phones vs whats available on open market. Devices are locked to tmobile and loaded with tons of bloatware. Oh. And if u need to change phones they force a $20 sim card even if your current one sim has no problems and fits new phone. Poor business practice.
They have been charging me CA tax for 2 years after I moved up here from CA. I went to change my tax address and that guy said I had to change my area code in order to change the PPU for taxation purpose, which is NOT true! It is a violation of the federal law (Mobile Telecommunications Sourcing Act section 117) and their own terms and conditions! I had to call customer service myself before they want to change for me!
Arrived with a problem phone. They never looked at the problem, just declared the phone to be too old, and we would have to replace it. Go to NE Broadway - they take the time to look at the problem and solve it.
They help you and maybe get the work done but staff should be nicer
Terrific service. One of the best T-Mobile locations in the metro area.
Fantastic phone shop with frequent promotions and deals. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful. I stop in all the time when I am in the area with whatever phone and service questions I have and it is always a great experience. An apple store is down the street and I avoid that place for so many reasons. This Tmobile location can handle pretty much anything. I would say the selection and prices of accessories could be better. As in double what you pay on Amazon, but that is beyond the control of this location. Tmo rocks in general, but this store in my area really makes a huge difference for me.
Customer service was excellent
I drive from Gresham to Portland just to deal with Brian, great guy knows his stuff.
Fine for a T-mobile store, but still only mildly helpful for technical issues.
Every time I visit, they are totally helpful, polite and professional. As I find the entire T-Mobil Organization.
Went in the first time and very few people being helped by 3 staff. Got in and out in no time. Went in today and the line was almost out the door, only 2 staff... Guess going here is like winning the lotto, Either you win, or you lose. I lost, and my job now suffers for it...
Nice people, and helpful depending on who youre talking to. Theyre just doing their jobs, and even uncarriers can only be so uncarrier-y
The customer service was unable to give me a detailed copy of my bill after I had been told to go to the store when I had called customer service. They also took awhile to wait on me.
Super awesome people and service here definitely recommended
Such great staff and great service her in portland... Just dropped by my sim card problem and they fix it right away
Had been trying to move from a pre-paid voice plan to a pre-paid data plan and things were just not moving along very well. It was mostly my fault because I did not read the fine print.Called the activation number and got a very nice person that seemed very knowledgeable but only did one part right. Then called back and kept getting off shore call center and the language barrier was just too much for me to handle.Went into this locations and Misty was absolutely amazing. She fixed everything in less than 20 minutes and it was a mess. She thought outside the box, knew her job very well and multitasked the entire time. She didnt miss a beat once.I have been in customer service for over 35 years and was very, very impressed with her skills and abilities.
I had problems swiching carriers over the phone. The rep made it easy, lowered my bill so I bought a speaker and a charger. My only problem was that there was only one seat other than that Its ***** Star. Try the store!
Helped me create a account with a few work arounds since im not 18. VERY QUICK AND GOOD SERVICE!
Waste of time for technical issuesWent in because the GPU on my Nexus 5 is clearly overheating to get it warrantied. Representative tried to blame it on the the game I used to demonstrate the symptoms (screen stutter/shake, which gets worse as a spot on the back of the phone gets very hot), then told me it was because the speaker grills were plugged up (these are on the opposite end of the phone from the GPU), then attempted to blame iy on full storage, then told me it was because I hadnt applied the 4.4.3 update, then attempted to tell me it was because the phone was rooted (I am running the stock image, rooted only for apps like greenify to extend battery life). Rep became progressively more frustrated as I continued to point out that what she was saying was not possible, then finally told me they would not warranty the phone until it was reset to standard image (which it already is) and unrooted. That was the only part of the conversation that wasnt BS. I feel sorry for customers that go to this store that do not have my level of technical knowledge, as teir time would have been completely wasted chasing down issues that clearly have nothing to do with the issue at hand. Phone gets hot, screen starts stuttering. Its obviously overheating.
Horrible horrible. The person worked there didn’t told me I will be loosing my number for 72 hours. Nobody could call me during that time.
The nicest bunch of untrained employees youll ever meet. I switched phone providers after not getting answers to my phone problems, which they made worse.
Just wanted to return my phone 3days after I bought it. They insist I keep it and were not interested in helping me beyond selling me a new cable....
Its the best way to get the phone you
I love t-mobile and this store has always be crazy helpful. check them out.
THE BEST SERVICE. A+++.
Thanks to Eran there today for fighting the good fight for me, so my Samsung phone was fixed under their warranty, for something that seemed to both of us a defect. At first, Samsung was no but Eran prevailed.
Wandered in here to ask if they carried USB Type C cables for a phone thats on their network. Not only do they not carry these, but the staff was rude and brusque when I asked.Be wary of the reviews for this T-Mobile location. At least one of the reviewers profile pictures is of someone who works at this location.
Long waits and disorganized, didnt have a list to keep track of who got there first.
Excellent customer service from Jen and Harvey
Good & fast service.
What exactly is a $20 activation fee?
Wouldnt offer me a loaner phone. Treated me like an idiot. I have phone insurance and they still wouldnt give me one.
Very helpful staff.
