Made an appointment for 2pm. got locked into the shop by the one employee there (illegal to do by the way). she would not help me purchase a new phone at all. my phone screen was broken so i couldnt make calls and god forbid she called the actual verizon store for me (i just wanted to know their hours). Wasted most of my day waiting to buy a new iphone...

Nate, the customer service rep, was stellar! He helped me through all the hurdles of line switching, device selection, plan options and all the rest. It was not a straightforward switch, and he was super patient through the transition, all the while clearly explaining the changes and benefits of various options. He helped me for more than 2 straight hours and even again the next day, never showing exasperation at all of my endless questions and clarifications! He was extremely polite, attentive and worked fast! Thank you so much!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DO NOT GO HERE! Took over 3 hours to get a new line and iPhone because the staff had no clue what they were doing. The manager didnt want to help since the employee had already started. 4 weeks later we get the new Verizon bill thats completely wrong, is on the wrong plan, and we are only getting 1/5 of what was promised for the trade in. They did not explain any of the options regarding the various unlimited plans or that auto pay would save us money. They literally got everything possible wrong. Sad to see after reading other reviews that we are not alone in our terrible experience. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

I upgraded my phone on 7/19 at this location. Due to COVID, there were people waiting outside for their turn to come in. When my turn came, I was surprised to find only one sales associate (Sophie P) in the store. Despite people angrily knocking on the door and glaring through the window, she remained friendly and helpful while completing the sale and suggesting accessories. When one person began to behave aggressively (yelling and knocking hard) while waiting outside, Sophie respectfully and calmly explained the situation to them and offered assistance as soon as we were finished. I was impressed at how she handled the chaotic situation and provided great service at the same time. I really don’t think it is safe for anyone to be working alone at the Burnside location.

I needed a SIM card for an iPhone I already have on the Verizon network that was damaged. This authorized retailer Victra tried to sell me a SIM card for $10. Ive been with Verizon for 30 years even back when they were called AirTouch and Ive never been charged anything for a SIM. I may be getting old but WTH is that? Went to a corporate store less than a mile away. Free, no problem...lousy authorized retailer IMO...

THANK YOU so much to Grace at Verizon (1972 W Burnside store) for your professionalism, excellent customer service, and patience.I never thought Id be writing a review for a Verizon store, but I appreciate Grace and the other team members so much. So, I wanted to spread the word.It was definitely my own fault why my phone froze, and Grace handled the entire transaction with the best customer care possible. She heard, understood, and handled the issue from start to finish with the highest integrity and professionalism. She was knowledgeable and friendly, helping me with my new iPhone purchase.Meanwhile, I noticed that all the Verizon team members took care of their customers in a similar, effective and caring way. Sophie was taking care of another customer by placing a hard-to-find phone order at another location and making it easy for them to pick up the product without going through the process again. Another Verizon sales associate was helping a customer become an authorized user with their family plan so that he could upgrade his device.Thank you, everyone, so much for your help today! Ill be sure to upgrade my phone next time before I freeze the screen. For anyone who has a tricky situation or just wants to upgrade your phone, this is the store to go to. Thanks, Grace!

Although I cannot stand the monopolization of industries like the way Verizon actually controls the cell phone industry at large, the folks down at this Verizon store really helped me out and they (the person who helped me out, not trying to assume their gender or sexual orientation) deserve a 5 star rating and a review. They took my iPhone 5 that is supposedly no longer compatible with any of the monopolized networks and made it compatible for full use. I’m sure it wasn’t an approved thing to do by management and overhead, to trick the system into accepting my “outdated” phone, but it seriously helped me out in a bind and saved me plenty of money I can now use to pay for my monthly phone plan. That person who helped me may have been a rogue employee and is probably fired by now or will be soon, but thank you person who shall not be named or labeled, thank you. You gave me a little faith in a company that doesn’t deserve your awesomeness.

They took care of several customers while we were there, and all appeared to have their issues resolved quickly. Even one-star is too much for all the trouble that they created for me. I went to the store with my new phone to purchase a prepaid plan. Fernando A who was the store guy gave me the SIM card and I paid the fees. I asked him to setup the auto-pay and he just find out that he didnt setup a PIN. he called the Verizon customer care and after 15min waiting he talked to the lady to get the PIN fixed and called another number to setup the auto-pay and I left the store. It took almost 1 hour of my time. What a waste...Tonight when I started the phone I found out that the SIM is not active and I called Verizon. They told me that I didnt pay the fee. I gave the guy the receipt number and all the information but he said he need to contact the store to verify and since they are closed, I need to go there in person tomorrow.Great, I have to make another trip there and redo everything PLUS my phone is not in service until tomorrow. why not doing it right at the first place. If you are not sure or you dont know how to do it just ask one of your colleagues. However, his colleagues who were there and saw the situation did even try to help. Please, dont waste people time.Thanks Verizon for wasting my time...Beside tomorrow which I have to go to the store, I will never go there again and I dont recommend it to anyone.

I spent almost 3 hours in the store in March 2018 after my phone spontaneously died at work. I needed an affordable replacement and spent most of the time waiting, which I understood (thats just how it is sometimes) except for how increasingly rude the reps were acting. Garrick worked with me while I communicated with my dad---Im a 23 year old student working full time for minimum wage and living away from parents who foot the phone bill---but by the time I was ready to purchase the Samsung J7, he was busy with another customer. The other rep Sophie ignored me for almost 30 minutes, and when she finally seemed to care that a customer was waiting, kept trying to push me towards a much more expensive phone. At this point I was exhausted and stressed and didnt have any more ways to say that I live well below the poverty line and cant afford the newest flashy model. To say the least, my in-store experience was rotten and uncomfortable, and as someone who visibly presents genderqueer, I did not feel supported by the reps alternate negligence and pushiness. A little more than a week later, I was experiencing problems with the phone (it was not performing as promised), and I had to return it. Verizon told me that they could not facilitate the return because Victra is a separate retailer, and I would have to go back to that store to get rid of the phone. Sophie was there again, and kept trying to change my mind or up-sell me, even though I made it clear when I walked in that I was not going to be purchasing another phone from Victra. Then she tried to tell me that she wouldnt be able to do the return before the store closed despite there being only one other customer and despite the fact that I arrived more than 90 minutes before the store closed. Do not go to this retailer. Victra probably contracts its employees on commission, and clearly doesnt care about its customers. Take the MAX to Pioneer Square and go to the actual Verizon store one block away. They are much more efficient, straightforward, trustworthy, and friendly than this crappy retailer.

I came to this store to purchase a couple of phone chargers during the snowfall on December 14, 2016. While I was in the store many roadways, including Hwy 26 West, were closed down. This caused gridlock and many people began filling up the parking lot preventing me from leaving. Fernando, the Verizon employee who was working the floor, was extremely kind to me and let me stay in the store until he closed up. He was a very pleasant and professional person, and even provided some much appreciated advice. I came back to this store the next day to express my appreciation to the store manager (whose name I didnt catch, Im sorry) and she was also very kind. Ive dealt with many different Verizon Wireless stores and this one had BY FAR the best staff. Best customer service experience Ive ever had with Verizon.

These people are sales people. They are not trying to help you with your purchases or bill. Dont believe it when they say you have to buy hums to reduce overall price for your bill. That you have to have so many lines to make it cheaper for a business account...its all lies. They lied to us about getting ipads for free when we upgraded our phones. They didnt turn in our phones for credit and pretended they didnt have our stuff. Finally, they admitted to finding our phones after we went through a time consuming back and forth of he said, she said. Never trust these people. They seriously only want to make a commission off of their sale with you and then laugh all the way to the bank.

She was thorough in finding the best plan for us, processing the paperwork, and familiarizing each of us with the various functions of the phone. Cell phones confuse me. I often consider myself internet and mobile device illiterate. This place is awesome. I always have a million questions in the cell phone store. Never once did I feel rushed or stupid, even though I asked many stupid questions. Kind employees who bring a great positive energy to the whole store. I recommend this place to anyone looking for anything in the realm of cell-phones.Michelle was the main one who helped me and never once did she seem like she was in a hurry to move on the next customer. She wanted to make sure I was fully satisfied with my cell phone purchase before letting me leave. After I first left I was having an issue with my phone receiving texts. I returned thirty minutes later. Michelle was with another customer so Sophie helped. Sophie was just as awesome as Michelle. The two of them gave me the best phone purchasing experience I have ever had, and I normally DREAD going to the wireless store. I will never go anywhere else for my cellular needs as long as Michelle and Sophie still work at this store.

I would give zero stars if I could. Went in to buy a new phone after ours was stolen. Thought we were lucky to get the manager to help us choose. We ended up getting the new iPhone and the manager said that with the purchase we get a free Samsung tablet. We didn’t want a Samsung tablet (because who does?) but he said again and again that it was free. So we took it. Next bill we got had a monthly $13 charge for said tablet. We called and the sale guy who answered said we would need to talk to the same manager and that he’d call us back. We got no call back. We tried to call SEVEN times over the course of the next day and they wouldn’t even answer the phone. Called from a different number and they answered first ring. Still nothing but denial from the manager. So we called Verizon directly, and considering how long we’ve been customers, they credited our account and removed any further charges. We offered to mail the tablet back but the Verizon rep said these guys are scammers and to just keep it! So I guess we did end up with a free tablet but BEWARE. Not even VERIZON trusts these people. Do NOT give them your business. Whoever owns this business, don’t bother asking us to call you to discuss this experience. Maybe you should have answered the first seven times.

Worst store ever!I am 31 years old, and I have to say these entitled millennials didn’t even try to help me use their new fully electronic system.There were 6 of them there, none of which could help because everything is done through a kiosk.Might as well not have people there at all.Anything you can do already through the Verizon app can be done at this store, but nothing more.Waste of time.Horrible customer service, Comcast is better experience than this store.

DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY! I went in to purchase a Jetpack and was misquoted on what my plan would be, was not given true plan options and was given an expired rebate! I was told my bill would increase by $20 per month and it was $343! I had to call Verizon twice to get the expired rebate and the plan sorted out. Come to find out that Timothy misled me on every transaction. I am happy with my Jetpack but very unhappy with the credibility of this Verizon retailer. Order through Verizon directly, dont waste your time here.

Worst Customer service experience in a while. My Samsung S6 phone suddenly and randomly stopped working. i need a phone for my work. I stopped by at 9:45am and they decided to open at 10:05am that day instead of 9am, so my experience started with waiting patiently outside for 20 minutes. When I got in they were significantly less helpful than when they were making me wait outside. I explained the problem and asked if they had ever heard about something like that, they said no despite me reading online that this was a common occurrence for the s6. I told them the phone was not working, they turned it on and started to berate me that I was wrong, 15 seconds later the error message I had explained to them came on and the phone shut itself off once again. They then put the phone on the charger, and berated me again when a temperature warning came on that the battery was too cold to charge. They said that they could not have it on the charger because it might blow up the store. When I tried to give them the billing pin to buy a new phone, they refused to enter the one that i believed was the correct one. I tried several other pins and none worked, i asked if there were any security questions we could answer to bypass the pins and they said no. I asked them if there was any way we could find a solution to the problem and they said no. I was perfectly willing to just buy a new phone and start a new plan at this point, but they did not even offer that as a solution. I was wiling to pay anything to rectify a situation wherein their companys product malfunctioned due to a faulty product and they were zero help. Thankfully my contract is up and I can just go get a new plan with another service provider today. As a manager of a successful customer service operation, this situation was an incredibly helpful learning experience for my employees. The two employees at this verizon store were an incredible combination of incompetent and rude, they couldnt have been any worse if they were sent from hell to ruin my experience.

I was in Portland visiting family and had a great experience at the Burnside Verizon store. My phone was acting up with issues and I went into the store on Burnside and got great service. The gentlemen that helped was very friendly. Im not tech savy but my phone kept freezing up and moved slowly all the time. He messed with a few settings and it works fine now. More importantly he looked up my account and put me on a new plan that is saving my $10 a month! Its great working with honest sales people that want to help you save money. A+ Verizon!

I bought my phone from this store and recently stopped in to get help with global roaming service. The manager was rude and said he did not know how to do it, that they dont help with technical problems. This was a service problem that would have taken him no more than a minute to check. My next phone will come from another dealer.

Poor customer service they also add on costs that are optional but make it seem like they are mandatory.Manager has an attitude problem acts like he knows it all.They will send you to cooperate if you refuse to purchase what they “Suggest. They aren’t there to help they are there to sell. Choose a different location to shop from.

They most rude two male employees Ive ever encountered, Im almost considering switching carriers! I came in because my galaxy 8+ has been acting up and as soon I told then the problem they immediately started blaming me for braking it, and acussed me of lying instead of trying to help me or hearing me out to finish my sentence, they just told me to deal with it, shame on Verizon for hiring these 2 idiots!
