Honestly, this place is pretty bad. Items are similar to hot topic and way overpriced. Sizing is basically 00-6, eliminating most bodies, and no way to try clothes on. They don’t take exchanges or returns at all, which is frustrating. The saving grace is the friendliness of the staff. Still, do not recommend. Save your $ and have a mall goth time at the actual mall.

I love this place, and have for years now. Got an awesome Vincent Price shirt, a sweet skull ring, and a Mad Magazine from my birth month and year. Staff was super helpful too. Cant recommend this place enough, especially if youre looking for unique stuff.

Service was friendly. The selection was pretty limited, and not what we expected based on other peoples reviews. It was not worth dealing with the traffic coming from Beaverton, but stop by if you are already in Portland

Honestly a wonderful store. The employee there was bubbly and wonderful. I felt really at home in the store and was able to buy the things I really wanted and then some :)

This shop is really awesome! Found some really cool items there. Its a nice little punk rock, metal, and goth shop that provides products from a variety of bands. They have a sweet purse/bag/wallet selection, a variety of pins and patches, and sell black vests for patches. The person there was super friendly and helpful as well, I highly recommend!

Places like this give me hope for Portland, even at its bleakest. Please spend your money here!

The first punk shop in Portland. Theyve got your studs, spikes, pyramids, bracelets, rings, necklaces, Manic Panic, or any number of kitschy pop culture fun. Check them out. After 20 years paying their dues in pee-stained alleys of Portland, theyve finally moved to a hip little boutique in a more upscale part of town. So now you can enjoy their wares without the added bonus of worrying about getting mugged after you leave. Dont miss out on Another State of Mind. A great shop, and a great place to do some gift shopping.

The staff here are polite and helpful. I appreciate that she greets me when I go in and lets me know that shes available if I have questions, but then lets me shop and doesnt hover. They have a large selection of hair dye (and other stuff like shirts, patches, cool jewelry, etc.), Special Effects, Manic Panic, and Lunar Tides. I really like this place!

I was visiting from out of town and made it a point to find this shop. After getting lost a few dozen times, I was finally able to locate it. The gal working there, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was unbelievably kind and understanding. She recommended a number of events and clubs around town to visit. Even though i didnt get to experience them all, my short visit to Portland was made all the better by visiting this store. Would highly recommend them to anyone in town, visiting or local.

I was in there and talked to Jenna for 2 hours straight xD. Not many people visit this place and I just dont know why. It is so amazing and the prices are affordable for people who want rad stuff but dont got to much money.

Never coming here again. I walked into this shop and asked the pink haired woman if they had any body jewelry. The woman at the counter never once looked up from her laptop at me to greet me or answer my question. She just mumbled the word Nothing. A little rude, dont you think? Guess how much money you are going to make off of me lady? NOTHING.

Its a small shop, but well appointed. one of the few places one can buy a leather jacket in a brick and mortar anymore. a ton of accessories and t-shirts, and jewelry . and the lady who helped me, today, was super rad. I appreciated it, and will be coming back.

Every time I go in there the ladys are always SUPER nice and keep a conversation going with me. While the shop may be small and can get claustrophobic I absolutely enjoy my visit every time.

I bought a pair of earrings there and they were only 10$ but they were for my birthday and I hadn’t even put them on yet and they broke :( but the sign inside the shop says “No refund or exchanges” so I had to throw them away. Just a crappy quality type of medal I guess.

Sometimes, the line at Voodoo Doughnut leads you elsewhere. What at first appears to be a niche music/clothing store actually has something for everyone. Comics about Henry Rollins, Joan Jett makeup bags, hair dye, fun socks, patches, buttons, stickers, ceramic figurines... I walked with more than one reminders of my trip to Portland, and the neon pink-haired salesclerk was super friendly and nice.

Best friggin store ever. Im in this store at least twice a month. Classic Heavy metal and punk stuff everywhere. Spikes studs, pants, band tees, shoes, tooons of patches, posters, novelty figures everything a 70s punk kid could ever want.
