I cut my hike short this weekend to come back to the city to shop at icebreaker bcs I love the brand and found this sign, they closed way before normal times which is ridiculous. Messed up my day, could’ve stayed on the trails 2 more hours. Unacceptable customer service

I love their gear, and in general everyone who works there is friendly and helpful, but one blonde woman who was working there would not take her eyes off me and breathed down my neck the entire time, acting like an overeager LP with no subtlety. She kept knocking when I was trying clothes on, and literally wouldn’t take her eyes off me to help her new coworker, straining her neck instead. The vibe was so bad and aggressive that I just left without wanting to buy anything after all.

Might be a great store, but I wouldnt know. Ive been here two days in a row now within their posted temporary hours to puck up a ship-to-store order, and both times it has been closed.

Icebreaker has been great for many years since its first store opened in Portland. Now the quality has gone down for the past couple years. Clothing with tears and holes. Warranty is not lifetime any more. Very sad for the price you pay for

Icebreaker makes the best outdoor clothes in the industry. Great quality, merino wool, great design. Try it out, you will love their clothes. I can get a tech lite t-shirt all sweaty running in it and after it dries it has no odor. Try that in your swanky incredible new invented fabric.

Love IceBreaker! Excellent jackets, coats, sweaters, all made from merino wool. I had to return a jacket because there was a small tear in the seam, and the staff were more than happy to replace and even upgrade to the next level jacket!

A lot of this so called merino gear has a very low merino percentage mixed with polyester, which essentially negates a lot of the benefits. Also crappy return policy. Would avoid. Go with Outlier instead.

If you wear socks, you need ice breaker.

Very busy location. The building looked huge, but there was only one service representative despite this being a holiday season. Parking is abysmal, so I recommend parking at Powells bookstore for $1.60 per hour.

They have some of the softest wool available, its like a second skin. It can be a little spendy, but its worth it. You have to think of this as being gear not just clothing. Try it out for yourself at this TouchLab Store.

Disclosure: I am an ambassador for this company, and am friends with some of the employees.When I first walked into Icebreaker, I was in heaven. Natural garments that would stand up to the weather? Clothes that when wet, would stay warm? Great colors, cool designs and HOLY CRAP ITS ALL SO EXPENSIVE.But then I did the math. Seeing as how Icebreaker lasts far longer between washes than synthetic anything, I dont need more than one running shirt per week with these guys. Say what you want about the price, but the quality is absolutely worth it.

New return process is poor under new company ownership. Products dont last for the money paid. $80 t-shirts lasting only one year.
