This is a cute little coffee shop. We’ve been walking to it each morning for the past 2 weeks. Super friendly staff, great coffee, loved the donuts and the blueberry muffins, and planning to try their sandwiches. Too sad they don’t allow indoor sitting now but hopefully the Covid situation would get better soon. They have couple tables outside :)

My favorite neighborhood coffee shop! Not only do they have a cute indoor/outdoor set up, the sweetest staff, and delicious toast specials (today was wild mushroom and scrambled eggs) the way they’ve navigated the pandemic has me a commited guest. They’ve adapted to the ups and downs all year with online ordering, a lovely pickup window, and are now welcoming walk-in service! Highly recommend at least stopping in for the most delightful warm buttered biscuit with jam 😋

Beautiful interior! I loved visiting this cafe and would recommend for others to try it out. My mocha was very good and not to sweet. I went around 4pm, but by then most food options had run out. Get there early if you would like to grab one of their goodies!!

I was excited to try this spot out after seeing photos/reading reviews. Unfortunately I got a cappuccino with blown out foam and nothing special in the taste.

The blueberry muffin is INCREDIBLE! YOU MUST GET IT! The coffee was great too- i got the dark roast. So so so good :)Great COVID service- they cleaned the pay station/counter between every customer and you cant even get within 6feet of the clerk!

The dirty chai latte was amazing and staff was very friendly. However, I was really disappointed in the avocado toast, it was small and didn’t have a lot of flavor. Was on a small piece of toast with whipped avocado with a couple pieces of greens. I upgraded for the bacon which was amazing, but definitely not worth $11, really wish it had been better it’s such a cute spot!

Super tasty coffee shop on the outskirts of downtown Portland, ME. They have an amazingly fluffy brioche for their breakfast sandwich, which is cheesy and hearty. The avocado toast was fresh and tasty with a hint of spice. And the buttery, jammy scone was the perfect dessert to round out the breakfast (dont worry, I split all the things). My cortado was a tad too milky (couldnt really taste the sspro) but Im not saying that is a definitively bad thing--I still very much enjoyed it. Like this place a lot!

The breakfast sandwich was yummy with great bacon and cheese flavors plus the spicy sauce. The espresso drinks all come in 10 ounce cups, the sandwiches are the main star.

Nice little coffee shop, and convenient if youre walking along the water or sitting in one of the parks nearby. Our espresso and latte were only ok. The staff were friendly.

Review only for the cappuccinos. Coffee is fine but I really don’t recommend getting a cappuccino. Then coffee is scalding hot and the foam is not silky smooth, it’s airy and flavorless.

Really nice, trendy coffee shop. Space inside is a bit small but the coffee and pastries were delicious and at reasonable prices. This coffee shop has the best blueberry muffins I have ever tasted!! They are filling but not overly sweet like most muffins are so I would definitley recommend trying one of those.

Good food and coffee, just a little over priced in my opinion. Nice little hipster coffee shop that currently is only serving through a window so no sit down seating is available. But dont let that deter you from having a cup of good coffee and a unique breakfast sandwich.

Very tasty mocha, and overall nice staff. Bought some parmesan bacon scones, hopefully theyre as good as they looked like. Looked nice inside, but we sat outside on the benches.

Great experience here. Chill coffee shop, great latte. They have flavors (caramel, vanilla, hazelnut, mint, and some others) just not listed on the wall behind the register. They have more than egg sandwiches, we had the special scalloped sweet potatoes with a sunny side up egg and it was delicious!

Really good coffee. Arrived around 6 am from airport and baked goods were hot and fresh. Quite close to Eastern Promenade for a stroll or boat/dog watching. Nice neighborhood spot sought out by locals!

Best coffee on the Hill. My favorite is their iced chai. Some of the nicest people too. Today they forgot to put Splenda in my coffee and the employee ran me down half way to the prom to give me Splenda. Talk about caring for your customers!!

Only had coffees, which were fine. The overall decor and vibe of the place was not overly impactful. It made this place kinda forgettable when compared to other well-branded locations in the area.

Cute place, great atmosphere. They’ve got a communal bookshelf you can peruse. Docked a star because the cold brew was bitter and tasted more like iced coffee. Staff are lovely, though.

This is a great coffee shop on Munjoy Hill. The coffee was delicious. My only complaint was that the tables were dirty. The staff at the front desk was just standing around, so that could have been easily taken care of in 3 minutes. Love the coffee though, and appreciated the wireless.

This is a great coffee shop. It has a nice neighborhood feel. My Americano was excellent, strong with good flavor. The staff was friendly. I got a Morning Glory muffin which was delicious. There was a generous amount of seating, a nice place to relax and enjoy your coffee.

My experiences here have generally been good, however when I went today, the barista seemed extremely inconvienced by our presence. My friend noted she had had the same experience with him before. He was banging things around in irritation and had a look of quasi disgust on his face. It was almost comical.

I only got a coffee - it was great coffee but more importantly the gal working was SO NICE. I messed up my order (clearly I needed the coffee, ha) and she fixed it for me on the house. I really appreciated that.

This coffee shop on Munjoy Hill, well its wonderful! I adore the muffins, nice size, tender and absolutely delicious. Always a nice local group of folks enjoying hot beverages and lovely eats, Im so glad they are here!

3/5 Cappuccino however the negative review comes based on the infrequent atmosphere of the coffee shop. I like many others go there to work or have a conversation with a friend/client for 1 hour to 2 hours; the music changes frequently and today it was louder then my ear buds could drown out at full volume. The shop was playing extremely obnoxious club music loudly, the only song I could recognize was the 7 minute techno fiasco Sandstorm which in my opinion should never even be considered for a coffee shop playlist.

One of many hipster coffee shops in Portland. Nothing special. The barista seemed inconvienced when I ordered. Its not in a convenient location. Fine in a pinch, but I wont go out of my way to go back.

Hilltop is my early morning walking spot. Lovely staff (they even remember what I like!) and getting there early one has great seating choices in all seasons. Hilltop is just one more reason to live on The Hill!

Adorable coffee shop serving coffee by design coffee and House made treats. Good service, convenient location and a welcoming vibe.

10:00am on a Saturday and they were all out of eggs and one bagel left. The guy stood there behind the counter and didnt greet my husband or me, he just stood there. We bought the very last bagel, but the guy dropped one half and just returned our money to us. Just a side note, I grew up on Munjoy Hill when it was uncool to live there and everyone was friendly and upbeat. Although I love that there are restaurants to eat at, the place is just not the same.All in all it is really sad whats happening to Maine, not just the service, but all the unnecessary growth (buildings) going up. We should not be building on precious land when we have abandoned building already that could be fixed up.

Go to The Front Door for breakfast and stop for a coffee on your way back! Friendly, quiet atmosphere.
