Awesome coffee, my family ships it to me in CA. Finally got to visit right before close, no line. Had an amazingly sweet cappuccino - coffee was so fresh! Location is small but has nice character and design. I’ll be back.

I was introduced to Never a few years ago by a friend when I visited Portland and instantly fell in love with it. Over the years I always come to visit this Belmont store whenever I was in Portland and always enjoyed it.Over the course of the last several months when I call this city home, Never isnt the coffee shop that I went to the most, but its surely the one I will miss and always come back to. Its creative, fun, delicious, their five-color visuals and excellent special flavor coffee NEVER fail to make my day.One more thing I have taken note of: their special latte has been the same price since 2017, even through this pandemic. (My last three photos were taken during my 2017 and 2018 visits). When I think about how most places have significantly raised their price in the past few years, I sure appreciate this.

Love the branding of this coffee lab. I tried their cold brew when I was in Portland and boy, did they get it out FAST!! Unfortunately, my sweet tooth self didnt know it wasnt sweet, so I had to add my own. Still enjoyed it!

Great coffee and flavors, love trying new things here. Unfortunately there’s almost always a line and it takes way too long to actually purchase anything. Have turned away because of the line countless times. Edit: today marks another time. I just can’t justify standing in line for 15 minutes simply to order. Maybe once things open up more this will improve

Got the holy grail late, which was delicious. One of few places that has a turmeric latte in town. Fast service, good coffee, well worth the visit.

Such a cute little shop and the coffee is pretty good but the baristas feel like they dont want to be there.

Best. Coffee. In the best place to get coffee. The anise flavor makes my mouth drop - and I’m decidedly not a foodie so this usually doesn’t draw me in but my goodness it’s excellent!!

Delicous coffee, nice atmosphere, and great service can be found at Never Coffee. If there is a seat inside, that is definitely preferred, however should you find the place is packed... out door seating is also available. One cool thing I liked about this coffee shop is the fact that their branding with the 5 colors can be seen throughout their mugs, coffee bagged products, and wall painting. Highly recommended stop.

Great intimate coffee shop! Love the music, decor and vibe. Only a few tables inside and a standing countertop. Outdoor plays host to four picnic tables to enjoy your beverages on a sunny day. I experienced wonderful customer service from the Barista working today. They create their syrups in house for their specialty lattes. See pic for the specialty beverages. Their door is ADA accessible and can accommodate a wheelchair. Also the mugs for use while drinking on-site are phenomenal!! Made by Studio HA. Get on out and check out this great shop!!

The special lattes have something for everyone, very great! The covid process is also great, having only a few people in at a time makes everything much more personalized.

In these COVID days its a bit difficult to find a place to meet someone for coffee and chat; Never Coffee advertised dine-in, so a friend and I decided to go there for the first time.Turns out the dine-in is simply a couple of picnic tables on the sidewalk, facing a very busy street.Fortunately, there is a little food truck court tucked behind the building about 40 feet away, and it has plenty of safe outdoor seating. We moved there instead.In response to the owner: I was looking through the Google listings for coffee places and specifically looking for Dine-in. Your shops listing had that box checked.

Fav coffee I had in Portland during our trip. The lattes were so delicious and Im not usually a latte person. The staff was SO friendly and went out of their way to make us a sample kit of their coffees for us to take home since they had run out. Small spot with a bit of seating inside and picnic tables outside.

I LOVED this little shop! They had 5 fantastic flavors of latte to choose from in addition to a traditional coffee menu. Each flavor sounded delicious and unique - I had such a hard time choosing! I ended up getting the rosewater-cardamom latte, and was blown away by how delicate and floral (and yummy!) it was. Coffee is such an overpowering flavor, and I was really impressed with how well the flavoring blended with the coffee itself. The shop itself is also adorable (though small inside), and I loved the neon sign and design of the place. Lastly the staff was very friendly! If youre looking for coffee in the area, theres no better place!

If you want a unique and incredible coffee experience, this is the place to hit up! They offered really cool, custom designed coffee drinks combining obscure ingredients that actually worked out great. Ive never experienced a coffee with turmeric, ginger, orange blossom, local honey, sea salt, and pepper. But man! It works so well!!!!Super friendly service and a motif that is clean and bright and friendly. VERY WELL PUT-TOGETHER SHOP!

I am completely charmed. On a morning drive to just get out of the house for a second, I popped into Never for a morning latte. The staff is very welcoming and I can’t imagine anyone having a bad day after 2 minutes in this bright, cheery space. I got the Hug...because why wouldn’t I? It was so spicy and comforting and not overly sweet...and is that homemade almond milk? It felt completely void of gums or nonsense. Y’all made my day.

Coffee was decent. staff was quite rude.

Unfortunately the staff didnt like the type of mask I was wearing. (Completely appropriate mask, worn over nose and mouth) So we were not able to try the coffee. Its ok we killed time and went to Hubers and had a fabulous coffee drink!

The Baristas are some of the most unfriendly I have ever encountered. I have worked in restaurants and coffee shops for over a decade so I know the ins and outs of the industry. If you dislike interacting with people please find a different job. I recommend the owners update their customer service policies or something. The coffee tastes good, I will add.

My vet is right across the street form Never, and I regret that it took me so long to pop in for coffee! First off, props to Never for doing an amazing job with the social distancing. Everyone lines up, and only 1 person goes in to order (unless youre a group of 3, who can also order together). Masks are required, and everyone waits patiently for their turn. I got the Rick Kid, which is a rose water, saffron, and cardamom coffee drink. It was amazing! Seriously the best rose coffee ice had around town. The beans were roasted to perfection, which made for a really smooth taste that I didnt know coffee could have. I cant wait to try another drink next time Im in the neighborhood!

Great drinks and awesome customer service

I’ve given up hope on friendly customer service here, but have given them 4-5 tries due to their tasty lattes. Of note is being yelled at on my first visit due to not seeing the sign indicating “one customer inside at a time.” I respect the rule, but not being rude to an excited first-time customer who didn’t see your sign.Today, I drove out of my way with my newborn in the car to get a latte, only to see the barista locking the door to sit outside and eat lunch while several people walked up to the door and left without coffee (including me, who drove from Vancouver). I totally understand everyone needs a break, but it would be kind to designate when the shop is closed for lunch on Google maps or Never website, or have another employee cover so we don’t waste our time. Just one suggestion that would make it more likely for me to ever go back here as I’ve given it several tries and am usually disappointed.Update: I must say I did visit once more recently and the same barista was much more friendly.

You cant beat a latte with cardamom. Its also worth picking up some of their beans - the Cinder Cone roast is exquisite.

Just stopped here to work a bit and was happy I did. Really legit service by a genuine person behind the counter. Grabbed a scone and cup of iced coffee, both were tasty. Plus they have rad plants and a nice vibe in the cafe.Thanks for the experience!

I have such mixed feelings about Never Coffee-Today at the Belmont location my partner and I were greeted by two snarky employees who were a bit rude as we ordered and then whispered to each other while we waited for our drinks. In such a small space, it was really awkward to be around two people who clearly wanted to have a private conversation.On the plus side, and why this is a two star review: they produced some truly tasty beverages in record speed.After that, I probably buy some of the Never syrup online and make my fancy coffees at home when the cravings hit from now on, because the flavors are REALLY REALLY good (especially the new one- The Visit), but that experience was really uncomfortable, and I dont think I will make a return to the shop anytime soon.

Never Coffee has a couple of signature drinks but be sure to grab a Cortado or Traditional Machiato. The environment was a bit crowded at the front door but I was able to get a table before our coffee came and then just enjoyed watching people do their thing. Great place highly recommend, they know what they are doing!

Honestly I was really looking forward to trying this place, but it really came short for me. The coffee tasted over roasted and the stuff acted indifferent and uninterested in their job.

I give this place double thumbs up. i had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. it has a great interior. food is like a place in baltimore i loved.

Love this place! Great coffees, service, and location. Every coffee although being a specialty shop is indeed blended. Coffees are two origin blends to my knowledge. However, Ive never had a place balance coffees so well. I almost forgot how great blends can be.Fortunately Never coffee is focused on high quality production and it clearly shows. If youre new to this shop or not a pour over/espresso fan. I would recommend the specialty infusion lattes. The Oregonian is wonderful! Personally not a fan of milk or sweets in coffee. This was a pleasant surprise that was different.Good job Never, I have continued to order beans online from you!

I drove to get coffee beans on Saturday morning 10:45 am but the shop was closed for “break”. It turned out they needed lunch break to take off their masks and eat. I am puzzled by this random unannounced rule that I had to figure out when I got to the shop.It seems we can now blame any behavior on COVID and deem it acceptable!

Wonderful little coffee place, I love to go for a delicious latte and one of their really lovely pastries. Very friendly staff; why would you go to a Starbucks when you can go to a place like this? Will go back again and again❤️

Had the holy grail, and it definitely helped my inflammation while sating my savoury thirsty: an espresso drink sans the over sweet sucker punch. the only thing overdone? the price. with part mylk, this twelve-ouncer will set you back near seven spot. ouch.

Excellent coffee using Roseline Coffee Roasters beans. Service was quick and friendly. Trendy crowd, but also saw a couple of families stop by.

I love the Rich Kid latte- lightly sweet, with amazing cardamom flavor. Going to Never Coffee never fails to put me in a good mood, with the colorful decorations and nice employees. I definitely recommend!

I visited this place a couple of times as theyre pretty local to me. The coffee is fine. Everyone who works here always seems to be crabby or upset that theyre working. They dont engage in small talk, they dont smile, and theyre not friendly. I would much rather go to the coffee cart a couple feet away

Small shop, so dont come here if you want to sit down with a friend. Bit pricey, and smaller sized drinks, but they were tasty and the art was lovely.

What a great vibe (and the coffee!) and the baristas are definitely are the main contributors to this positive atmosphere (not that the decor isnt spectacular...those bright colors! and those cute mugs!) I just moved to the neighborhood and Im in love. Also, stay away...because I dont want to be waiting in some long line. ;-)

6$ mochas my friend and I got did not taste like chocolate. I rarely get fancy drinks so it was very disappointing! Cart down the street is lovely.

Coffe was pretty decent, but the staff was complaining about customers to each other as they were making my coffee, as if I wasn’t there. They were complaining that the customers weren’t following their rules....the ones written on a tiny piece of paper barely noticeable. After getting my coffee, me and my coworker sat down at a table, and as we started drinking our coffee one of the staff came up and told us to pull our mask up. Needless to say, drinking through the mask didn’t work very well.

Third time I go here, first two was perfect, very friendly staff, but this time the staff was very bleh... plus they over steamed my coffee! Too hot to handle my cup!

The staff was very friendly, the interior was clean and stylish. There was both indoor and outdoor seating. They had different lattes with unique spice blends, all served in color coordinated mugs. Overall I enjoyed my experience and I think this is a great cafe to visit.

AMAZING coffee!!! I mean rose and cardamom??? Yes please!!! So why not 5 Stars? Because a small cup of coffee (one size only) cost $6! I’m sorry, you can’t get 5 stars with that.But everything else is great. The staff. The ambiance! All fantastic. It is very small, so it’s not a great place to hang with friends. But you can go to the food truck seating just around the corner.

This is a great little shop with a large and wonderfully composed signature beverage menu. The Holy Grail was delicious with the salt, pepper, turmeric, ginger, and a few other things along with steamed milk and espresso. However, the star was the Midnight Oil beverage with its sweet fennel seed, star anise, and black licorice along with steamed milk and espresso. Service was top notch and friendly. I couldnt ask for a better coffee shop!

The place is kind of busy with longish lines, but I was able to get my coffee super quick. The coffee itself is delicious. Very rich and flavorful. There isnt much seating area, but on a sunny day there are outdoor seats.

Great coffee and helpful staff. Tried the 12oz NF latte and the HUG.Really cute space. Not very many interior tables. They have a nice counter by the window that you can stand at and read or work if the tables are occupied. A few outdoor tables.I plan to visit Never again. Did I mention I really like the coffee?

Small brightly decorated shop that serves and sells their own coffee. The baristas are always friendly and service is fast. If lattes are your thing, they have some really great drinks on the menu. My personal favorite is the Oregon.Its worth noting that this space is pretty small, and while it is great for a quick stop to grab some coffee, dont mistake this place as a somewhere to sit down with a laptop and work for a few hours.

The Midnight Oil is by far the best.

If youre looking for great coffee and good service, go to Never coffee. The baristas are super friendly. Jordan is my personal favorite. He knows what I want when he sees me and I dont have to say anything, my coffee is ready for me. Fantastic!

A super weak mocha. The pluses: cool, friendly staff and great for people watching. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. They offer very adventurous lattes. If I was local to the neighborhood I’d give it another try.

I like “Rich Kid” because of its uniqueness, while it tasted way far from other coffees. Rose water inside the “Rich Kid” tasted strong.

Barista seemed annoyed of the customers that were coming in... she was complaining to her coworker about people not following the rules in front of us, as if she couldn’t wait till we left to say things about us. Also came out and told me to put my mask on as I was outside drinking the coffee at a table... needless to say drinking coffee through the mask didn’t work.

Walked in for a coffee of the day and it is still the best overall coffee Ive had. Smooth and tasty. Will definitely be ordering some for back home!

It was an ok experience. But the coffee. Was terrible. We got something that they said was good. It wasnt. They didnt ask if we liked it or not. So instead we came and asked for a cup of water(which was tap with no ice) because couldnt drink the coffee. My friend made a joke about the name. Never come here again coffee.

Great staff, and cool atmosphere. The place offers five unique lattes that are unlike anything else that Ive seen, and they come in custom mugs. Classic espresso drinks are also available, but why? Seating is limited, but they have a cool window bar to hang out at.

I have 4/5 spots for coffee I frequent and the more I go to this one the more I feel I need to be here more. I drink my coffee cold and black, their cold brew is wonderful. Thank you coffee folks.

I love this place. While I will say that the interior is quite small relative to other cafes, the interior is unique and fresh, offering clean white spaces, a bohemian collection of plants, and nice tables/countertop. Their special lineup of lattes are what really sets them apart. I had both the Oregon and Midnight Oil on two separate occasions, both of which were delicious and interesting.
