It’s DAIRY FREE so they don’t have whole milk. Nice environment. I got a vanilla latte with almond milk it was good but I wish they had whole milk
Lovely coffee shop in South Waterfront that offers a good cup of coffee and some small food items including vegan pastry from Shoefly. I had a soy latte and a delicious vegan pepperoni pizza roll (I dont remember the exact name). Order at the door, no dining in at the moment but there are a couple of small tables outside.
Fantastic little coffee hub with delicious traditional cappuccinos. Parking is tricky here but well worth the drive around the block to find a spot
Oracle is the gem of Portland. The coffee was fantastic. I bought a big bag. Paige is amazing! Frank, you made the right decision. Don’t ever lose her!
Oracle is an awesome trendy coffee shop in the beautiful south waterfront. I would highly recommend this place to anyone regardless of if you’re plant based or not as the coffee is phenomenal and the staff are very friendly.
The coffee is good. However, where I come from, coffee is served with milk. Cow’s milk. Here, they serve coffee with plant based milk. I drank my coffee with “oat milk.” Not impressed. Thought it made the coffee worse. Would probably go back to drink my coffee black. I guess this what you get when you go to a vegan coffee shop. Whatever. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Idk i’ve never been here but it seems cool :)
This place makes fantastic coffee and has delicious local pastures and baked goods. And everything is vegan. Heck yeah. And if you’re not vegan, that’s okay, it’s all amazing. Stop by soon.
Clean and simple. All pastries were gone by 10:30. Good place to work or read.
No dairy here, but latte with oat milk is great. Got a cinnamon roll too. Ate it with a fork, dont judge me.
I just ordered a matcha latte and an iced earl grey. Both so flavorful and earthy and the coffee is amazing as well. This is one of my most favorite stops in Portland and the staff is so kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
Iced Maple Latte with Almond Milk was amazing. Honestly one of the best coffees Ive had.
This place is beautiful. I really enjoy the consistent and clean design. As a coffee person, I was impressed by how many different coffees they had to offer. I went with the drip, which today was from Blueprint Coffee in St. Louis. Portland has many multi-roasters like this shop that are very good, but Oracle stands apart from them in variety. Cant wait to spend more time here.
My favorite coffee shop in Portland!
I got a matcha late and it was very good
Great coffee spot, love that they only offer non dairy milk! Their seasonal drinks are always a treat.
Nicest barista on the planet. Delicious caffeinated beverages. Can’t lose.
Updated review:Oracle is, hands down, the best coffee shop in Portland. They always have Oatly oat milk stocked, and make the creamiest lattes. When it comes to making an incredible latte or mocha (hot or cold) with alternative milk, they have every other cafe beat.Original review:I’m in love with the creamy iced coconut milk vanilla latte.
Come here.tonget shoofly pastries
Been here twice and it was delicious both times. Please start accepting cash again, now that we know that surface transfer isnt nearly as much risk as shared air.
If you want the best hot chocolate in town, order it as a mocha with no espresso. Tell em Carly sent ya.
Super friendly and welcoming staff, delicious coffee!
Very good coffee. These are not the quickest baristas but their product is worth waiting for. They have a good selection of plant based milk products and a zucchini bread that is wonderful.
Oracle coffee is great, love the drinks and the beans are fantastic.
Great customer service and delicious coffee
Best espresso shot I’ve ever had (in America)! It’s over four hours later and I still have so much clear energy. The price wasn’t the same as on the menu picture though.
Great Service
The best coffee experience I ever had. Pourover coffees were true to tasting notes and so, so good. No dairy here, I tried oat milk instead. Worth traveling to.
Aside from the slow service this place is pretty decent. The lattes are very good. Nice atmosphere to sit and chat with friends or do a little work. The slow service keeps this place from earning 4-5 stars from me. Its not just one time either, this place is consistently slow - the employees are more concerned with chatting among themselves or other activities rather than taking and completing orders from the customers lined up.
My favorite oat milk latte in town
Oh, only the best cafe in the whole world, and I’ve been to way too many across the globe. I’ve been going here for years and the lattes never fail to touch my coffee-addicted soul. I happen to love oat milk, but if you are a die-hard fan of moo juice, best stay away from this all-vegan establishment.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Unique experience with new coffee being used weekly--love it! The shop is always clean and has a welcoming feel.
Have been going to this coffee shop in South Waterfront since it opened back in 2017. Their coffee is great, the team is friendly, their merch is dope, and they’re plant-based!! What else could you ask for?!
I highly recommend Oracle! The staff is friendly and their matcha tea lattes are the BEST!
Great lattes. This place is a vegan coffee place, so be aware that there are no dairy options. I had an oat milk vanilla latte. The service was a little slow and they were more concerned with chatting among each other than serving guests, but thats a minor complaint. Delicious coffee.I also had a vegan hand pie. That wasnt so good.I dont know that Id buy their pastries again, but I might try something different. I would definitely come back for the coffee.Recommended. Check it out.
Oracle is great. I like how they use dairy-free milks.
Great decor, great coffee and creative drinks, and great staff! Its 100% vegan and dogs are welcome inside! Great place to pet some dogs (with consent).
Wonderful Moroccan Mochas, and tasty scones. The employees are very attentive and polite. An excellent coffee shop to stop at for a reward for finishing a walk across Tillicum Crossing and the south waterfronts.
Best mocha!!! this shop uses powder cocoa and its simply delicious. Most coffee places use syrups that have to be stir and some are just too sweet or lack the mocha flavor. Five stars to their bagels and cashew cream cheese. Love this place :)
An entirely plant-based (vegan) coffee and tea shop. The oat milk is amazing! There is a calm atmosphere with soft music. People are usually quiet working on tablets or having a work conference. There is lot of open space and the large windows give it a modern look.
Dairy-free, which I didnt realize, but somehow the genius behind the counter made almond milk taste delicious. He even went to the trouble of steaming in the cinnamon I asked for instead of just sprinkling it over the top. OM NOM NOM!!! And he had a great tea rec for a friend!
Note: this place is VEGAN. It’s good coffee and it was enjoyable to be able to drink a latte without the uncharged dairy free milk options because everything is dairy free. They also have a few GF treats available. I like that they charge the same for a 12 oz hot or 16 oz iced drink. Oat milk is really tasty. We’ll be back.
Great spot along the Willamette river! They serve a delicious oat milk cappuccino, traditional 6oz. A++
Surprised at how good a dairy free mocha could be. I ordered mine with oat milk and would never know it wasnt dairy. Modern, casual and comfortable setting. Some folks working on laptops, but several without electronics out.
Oracle is a vegan coffee shop that doesn’t up-charge for milk alternatives. There’s plenty of seating and the treats are delicious. I tried the oat milk mocha and Danish Apple Cake. Highly recommended if you’re in the SW Waterfront area!
Good service; large selection of plant-based milks since this is a vegan coffeehouse. They also serve some intriguing teas. Atmosphere is modern, bright, and airy, so great place for reading, etc.
Amazing drinks, tasty treats, and really cool/nice staff. Highly recommend this place!
A little caught off guard with the alternatives for dairy products. The appreciative noises while drinking my coffee and eating my bagel also caught me off guard. I was expecting it to be okay, but after repeated mmms I have to admit the basic bagel w/ soy cream cheese and mocha made with oatmilk, was indeed delicious enough Ill want to go back for more.
Amazing Cashew cream cheese bagel
Was not a pour over guy until i started going to oracle. Now i know what i was missing out on this whole time. Great selection of coffee roasters means there is always something fun and new to try. Awesome addition to the neighborhood. Do your self a favor and check this place out!
The didnt have Hemp Milk 🤯🤪😭 but the coffee was so good it didnt last 10 minutes or so.
I got a 12oz cold brew for$3.50 which is definitely a fair price. The coffee was very smooth and delicious. I love that theyre a vegan coffee shop, and they also use metal straws instead of plastic! Absolutely will return.
The workers are very friendly and the coffee is great! The honey latte is my favorite here.
Friendly and lots of smiles. This is my first time here, but I plan to stop by each time Im near by. I dont drink a lot of coffee, and generally just take suggestions. I wasnt judged for not knowing what I wanted and will keep just letting them choose for me. The first drink I got was great. Ill make edits to this review if anything changes my mind. I dont think I will have to.
Great chai with oat milk. I look forward to my weekly treat while my daughter is in ballet. My only wish is that they were open later.
Besides the amazing drinks they offer, they also have many milk options if you have dietary restrictions and are very eco-friendly which is a huge plus in my book. Definitely one of the best coffee places around!
Not my thing. Nice theyre taking a different approach and adding variety to the coffee shop world... Different strokes for different folks.
Yum!! Love it here ❤️
I drink my Americanos black, and the coffee here is excellent. My husband has become obsessed with the oat milk vanilla lattes and makes excuses to visit me at work so he can have a reason to be near Oracle. The selection of treats is delish, the service is quick and high quality. Its a real Portland treasure.
This is a cafe with a Cheers Bar like vibe in terms of friendliness from owners and employees who actually know you by name and your order. They are knowledgeable about coffee beans and roasters from all over the country and the world and freely share it in an unpretentious way. Dogs are not only allowed but welcomed with treats upon arrival. The music is great, the internet is fast and it’s a easy place to work or catch up with friends. The quality of espresso, coffee beans and roasts are unreal in terms of smooth deliciousness. This is my favorite coffee shop in Portland and am so grateful it is just around the corner from me!
Great service and a visually appealing space. I am not a huge coffee drinker but was very happy with the hot chocolate which was served at the perfect temperature. Also, vegan friendly which is a big plus.
High quality offerings, nice space, good service. I like their selection of milk alternatives. Limited, basic food offerings. Slightly expensive. Standard Portland coffee experience (in a good way).
The oat milk cappuccino is amazing, and I love that they have Doe Donuts on the weekends. The people working there seem really nice, too. I would definitely recommend trying this place out!
Vegan coffee House very trendy get a good cup of Jo while being animal friendly
It’s not clear this is a pretentious vegan coffee shop until it’s too late. Coffee was sour and they actually recommended I go to the coffee shop two blocks away to steal their real cream. Milk is pretty basic, and not everyone can have industrial nut milk.
Best coffee shop in Portland. The rare breed of specialty shop that blends excellence with humility. The staff is approachable, accomodating and skilled. The entire menu is dairy free and you wont know how phenomenal oat milk is until you pair it with espresso. Dog friendly, aesthetic, comfortable, and damn good coffee.
If you like a rotating selection of roasters and/or vegan-friendly options, Oracle is the shop youve been looking for. Pick up a punch card and get any drink free after ten drink purchases. Nitro cold-brew is available on-tap year-round, and tea is also available for the non-coffee drinkers. A small selection of equipment for brewing at home is available as well.Skip the parking hassles in the district and take the NS-Line streetcar to right outside the door. Free wi-fi and some power outlets are available.
Good coffee. Visited here before heading to the nearby South Waterfront Lower Tram Terminal.
I really enjoy this place because I live close by. It is basically the only spot on South waterfront that is convenient or not hidden away. The coffee is good, and they have an interesting selection of speciality drinks. One star off because they dont have regular cream cheese, they just have a tofu option. Although I have grown to like the alternative spread, I know others want the run-of-the-mill kind. If you are vegan or have other dietary restrictions, I think this place seems pretty accommodating. They have various non-milk options.
Had a delicious yam latte with macadamia nut milk - so unique and tasty. Plus they were doing an all day half off drinks deal! And their baked goods are delicious and the space is beautiful
Popped in here randomly for just a small drop coffee, and was blown away. Didn’t get a chance to try anything else, but if their drip was that good, can’t imagine anything else being bad.
Vegan coffee you can drink. Sounds like a win to me!
This place is dairy free, which is fine, but it does not clearly advertise it. Now if you buy a bottle of whiskey advertised as Bourbon you would expect it was made from at least 51% corn. If not, you call it fraud. This place sells cappuccino. If a cappuccino does not have cow freaking milk, its not a cappuccino, for the saints of hipster murica. Ergo, this place is a fraud. Amen.
Good place to grab some caffeine and study. They have WiFi. The plane can be crowded at times making it hard to concentrate; however, it doesnt get noisy at all. Will be coming back though
Great coffee. Not the high-sugar drinks youre used to from Starbucks, Dutch, etc. Nothing wrong with those (who doesnt like sugar?) but more what I imagine Italian coffee to be like. Everyone who works here is super awesome.
Great coffee! The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. And the cocoa cereal muffin was SO GOOD.
One sip of todays batch brew pick (Sweet Blooms Chicol) and I quickly dismissed the idea of scoping out some half-and-half. At about $17-20 or so per pound of bagged grounds, Id expect no less and these expectations were met. With a pretty concise lineup of beverage options its easy to see that craft coffee is the emphasis here rather than novelty drinks and flavoring concoctions to dull and disguise the notes inherent in the beans and the brew process. That said, you can definitely get your almond-milk-latte-to-go fix here if thats what youre looking for.Ill update my review as I learn more about this new establishment.
Best coffee, best baristas, best baked goods. Love love love Oracle!
This place is fantastic! Great atmosphere, talented barista, delicious coffee. Every time I visit I have the best experience! I highly recommend this place.
An interesting place. All vegan huh? Plant based milk in coffee just curdles. The staff is very nice and I did enjoy the philly peanut butter cupcake.
Place looks nice but a 12 ounce cup is $3.50 when theres other options in the hood at half the price for equally good coffee. Roasted beans are $25/pound and they are not locally roasted. Also. they dont philosophically believe in cream with your coffee so youre required to have coconut instead. Oy.
Its fine. Simple. Coffee is good. Service is slow.
Friendly baristas, great coffee, baked goods and cool vibes. Close to the streetcar. Adding this to my Portland list for future visits 🙂
The people working here seem really passionate about coffee and veganism. And even if you’re not a vegan, you’ll probably still appreciate the coffee they pour even if you prefer milk.
The best coffee shop in the area! A big plus is that everything is vegan 😍
Coffee is excellent. Food, not so much. They had problems toasting bagels today...no the toaster wasnt broken. They staffer just didnt know what toast meant and was serving up raw-ish bagels to everyone. It was weird.Because this place is VEGAN (not VEGETARIAN but full-on VEGAN)....everything is going taste funny at best....disgusting at times. No normal cream cheese, or even real butter, etc. Youll get imitation cream cheese and some butter derivative from nuts or something...it was so gross I tossed the raw bagel with the disgusting topping in the garbage and left. It was that bad. DONT ORDER FOOD HERE. Just coffee.
Good coffee, Good people. Clean place and clean bathrooms. Easy to find parking. I usually get vanilla late with almond milk.
Baristas here are very friendly and answered all my questions regarding the coffee they serve. When you buy a bag of beans they offer you a free drip or iced coffee. They also have a punch card, if you buy 10 bags of beans and they give you one free, same with drinks. I highly recommend getting a bag of Blueprint coffee.
If could give them a sixth star I would ! The most amazing coffee and service ! Fantastic atmosphere !
