I ordered custom made stickers, on the website it said they could do next day pick-up. I paid 21 dollars so I could get them the next day. When I came to the store, they told me they were not ready and that they were behind. They never notified me in advance and I drove 30 minutes to pick them up. Once I left, it had been a week since the order. Nothing. I called again today and they said they didnt even have the materials to complete the order. No-one notified me and they were just going to have my money on hold with no communication. SUCH A SCAM AND UNPROFESSIONAL. The manager Furlan is worthless. I am never coming back again. If you are looking for a reliable service, look somewhere else.

I went in for business cards, white with text I designed, very simple. The manager insisted I pay a design fee, saying how he had to pay his worker to type in what I had designed. I was going to buy 100 bucks worth of stuff, but online customer service beats what this manager did for me. Im sticking to small business from now on, staples doesnt beat their prices anymore. I got burned trying to buy local.

The manager (male) @ Staples @ Jantzen Beach does not know his stores return policy at all. 14 days applies to technology and furniture only, not an umbrella policy for all items. Horrible customer service, uniformed of their store policies. If you have a choice of Staples stores near Portland, DO NOT GO to the STAPLES @ JANTZEN BEACH. GO TO The Staples in Tualitan...it has competent, kind people and great customer care/service.

Whoever is hiring here is doing a fantastic job. Just left, end of Black Friday during COVID, and despite the situation every staff member was friendly and helpful. I couldnt decide on a chair, the rep who helped me was probably the most friendly and patient salesperson Ive ever encountered.Ive worked at places with staff like this before, its all about hiring good people and managing well.

I had no idea they sold my favorite coffee here! Hard to find the brand I love since we just moved to Oregon from California. They showed they had 2 in stock online. I called to confirm just in case. They were very helpful and checked to make sure they had the stock on hand. Placed my order and my daughter was able to come in and pick up the coffee before heading home. Very helpful and patient customer service. Thank you! :-)

Worst customer service EVER! Went in to recycle an old printer. We politely declined when asked if we wanted to start an account with Staples (I’m not even in Portland but this is our closest location so I never go there). The woman who took the printer for us then lashed out and rudely told us to never come to Staples again because it’s not just for us to go and dump our old tech. Um? Sounds like someone isn’t familiar with their own company rules. Check the Staples website, honey. Everywhere, it’s plastered that Staples serves the communities by offering free recycling of old printers and tech. Absolutely awful, and yeah, we won’t be coming back ma’am!

The young lady with braids was rude. Our friend went to make copies, and their self serve copy machine was broking. Charged our friend $7.50 for 24 copies, now if he would have known that before hand we would have just went to FedEx. Her response was rude and not friendly at all. On the other hand the older gentleman working was delightful and deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately her attitude has made us decide to never come back.

Always refuse my orders. Im unable to process them online, and at self serve stations, staff arent able to assist even with self service, and refuse to print one 11 by 17 doc. This has happened too many times and theres only one location near me after the others closed down.

I just left from an amazing experience with Kyra!!! When I walked into their store I was so terrified, because I didnt know where to start with all of the things I needed and hoped I can meet a kind salesperson whod take the time to help. I knew that I needed a lot of items (laptop/printer, etc.) but didnt know which ones were the right choices for work/school and I wasnt sure what was best for me. Not only Kyra was knowledgeable but she took the time to answer all of my questions and she helped ease my mind about all of my concerns with my new purchase. On top of everything else, she alleviated my stress even more and saved me the trouble when she kindly offered to get my new laptop ready for me. Thank you so much Kyra for all of your help! I was returning a used printer cartridge.

I hardly ever paid any attention to Staples in the past, other than knowing that the LA Lakers play at the Staples Center. Today has likely just changed that. We went to the so called BestPurchase store in Jantzen Beach, only to be abruptly stopped at the entrance and forced to deal only through one store helper to have our questions answered... all to no avail since they basically did not have what we wanted, a printer. That whole transaction was nothing short of abrupt. We looked online to check out all our options, and one of us noticed a Staples store a short walk away. Not only could we just walk in and shop, but they were noticeably welcoming and friendly. What a choice they had in stock, whereas the other store was allegedly sold out of nearly every printer we might have considered. It was such a breath of fresh air to shop at Staples, and they were so friendly and helpful on top of that!

As Staples stores go, this place was above average. Well-stocked, efficient service, and helpful staff. No complaints about this location specifically and really only positive things to say. So depending on your love or dislike of Staples in general, this particular location is either 5-stars or, on the other side, 3-stars or less.

I love any office supply store but this one is awesome! Every time I have been here, at least 2 associates have come up to ask me if I need help finding something or if they pass by they just say hi. The guys at checkout are so nice and polite, superior customer service here!

I dont know what is up at this store but the people here are SO NICE. This place might rival New Seasons as having the friendliest staff in town. Not only that but I found the store to have what I needed - dry erase board, card stock, file organizer - at pretty reasonable prices. Staples also carries things Id never have thought they would, like laundry detergent, and the unscented kind to boot! This was a nice surprise as I run a business that uses a lot of the stuff (and it has to be unscented for sensitive folks) and it was super convenient to pick it up along with my other office supplies. Will definitely return.

Always great service here. They will help you save money too. For instance I wanted to laminate two small items and instead of charging me for two items of different sizes they just charged me for a full sheet. It wasnt a big deal but it shows that they come from a good place customer service-wise.

I needed to have several things printed and was having difficulties sending the files (especially some) to Staples. Andrew was so knowledgeable and patient with me. I have always found the store and staff to be above standard. Highly recommend!!!

I wish I had gone here much earlier to get my moving supplies and shred my old documents! Unfortunately, the bulk shredding services had me entering in my old papers a few at a time. A secure bulk hopper from Iron Mountain would be wonderful.

Great experience at this store, called ahead and they held something for me. When I got there was helped right away with fast, knowledgeable and friendly service.

The print and marketing service was fabulous. They worked with me and helped me saved money. I literally tossed some paperwork Infront of them and they did everything for me. Customer service at its best. They went above and beyond what they had to. Danny and Liz are amazing.

Staples is really going downhill. It seems like they just dont care anymore. Ive had to hunt for an employee, and when I find one, while theyre friendly, they just seem to have a whatever attitude. The prices on the shelves often dont match their ads and even when they display the product in more than one spot. UPDATE - After a year of avoiding this place, I decided to give them another chance since they sent me some rewards from a lawsuit. Well, nothings changed - the one item I wanted was out of stock. Another waste of time.

Things were not shelved right and when I got to the front I told was it was stocked wrong. The cashier did look up the price online but didnt bother looking at the shelf I found it on. I was disappointed that he didnt bother checking the shelf I found the items on. He also didnt bother to try to make things right with me just said thats not the right price. At office Depot they have walked me and tried to make things right for their mistake.

Ordered something in and they didnt call me to say it arrived. So I went there and checked and while I waited I saw the thing I ordered and just bought it. Idk why online it said it was out of stock. Not impressed with this store. The employees were nice though.

If you have a choice of Staples stores near Portland, do not go to the Jantzen Beach store. I went there to order business cards. The blonde girl working in Copy and Print (her name tag said Assistant Manager, name starts with S), does not know her stuff. She couldnt open a file on my thumb drive, jumping around from computer to computer and helping other customers when she was supposed to be helping me. A half hour later, another employee showed up and I asked him to help me instead. He opened my file immediately! I ordered 400 cards. That same blonde girl was working the following week when I went to pick up my cards. When she handed me my box of cards, I knew it was only 200, but she said Oh, its 400, this is the size box we usually use for 500 cards. Was she lying on purpose or just clueless? Im not sure, but I had to--again--pull a different employee aside to get help. The second employee confirmed the box I received is for 200 cards and thats what I got--not 400. I had to make a second trip later to pick up the rest of my order.I went in this store for the last time this week. I needed pen refills but the display wasnt stocked well, so I thought Id ask about that. I went up to an available cashier and she was on a personal phone call. She let me stand there for a good minute waiting for her to finish. Finally she hung up and told me she would page a stock boy to come to the pen aisle and help. After a couple minutes the stock boy was coming towards me when he was interrupted by a customer with a question. He hesitated briefly and decided to blow me off and help the other customer first, even though he had been paged for me and Id been waiting. That was it. I walked out and will never go back.In a nutshell, there is too much incompetence and poor customer service at this store. They have some work to do.
